We had a great experience with Blaisdell Plumbing and Heating today at our home in Salem, MA. Dan R texted us to let us know he was running a little behind, which was appreciated. He still arrived within the original window that was provided to us when we scheduled our appointment.Dan was friendly, professional, and happy to answer all of the [many] questions we had about our heating system as new, first time homeowners. He explained everything to us and fixed the issues we were experiencing with our gas powered heating system. He also did the standard/annual tune-up and inspection.Lastly, he was very helpful in explaining how a potential upgrade to an electrical split heating/cooling system would work, and gathered the information needed to quote us later. It’s important to note that we inquired about this early on due to the age of our systems and our own curiosity. He did not try to “sell us” on this as soon as he walked through the door.Thanks again!

Weve been consistently impressed with the knowledge, experience, and talent of their technicians. To a person, they are also patient, thorough, and pleased to explain anything. The process from initial call, to appointment, to review of the problem, to estimate, to completion is absolutely seamless--quick, options offered, and ready to execute there and then. And they provide only quality, reliable products.Our last adventure with them involved replacing the old boiler/furnace that gave way early one morning at 2:30 a.m. Water everywhere. Fire department called. Blaisdell got right on it later that morning, offered to loan space heaters for overnight, and installed the most GORGEOUS boiler Ive ever seen! Its truly a work of art--and, of course, highly efficient. I definitely have the best looking boiler on the street!Finally, theres the company itself, headed by Kyle Blaisdell. We had Blaisdell install our half bath and fix our shower Temptrol in the other bath. They were clean great and very responsive. When the shower Temptrol unit failed they sent someone out on Sunday morning and took care of the issue. While he was here he also looked at the new toilet and fixed the flapper so it would flush correctly. Great team !!!

We had no hot water! Blaisdell Plumbing responded to us quickly and came out same day. Joe, the technician, they sent to our house was very knowledgeable and explained everything, including the cost before performing the work. Turned out to be a pump between the furnace and water heater, what could have cost us quite a bit turned out to be not too bad due to the diligence and honesty of this team. Would highly recommend and will definitely use again!

They were great then, and at the time we didn’t have a “go to” plumbing company because we were pretty new in our house and hadn’t needed plumbing work yet. Was able to get a same day appointment for a leaking disposal. Turned out that a pipe under my sink was also leaking. I have had some issues for years that no other plumbers could diagnose accurately. He took a lot of time at my home to give me an estimate and to help figure out my home’s issues. Took a lot of time to answer all my questions and concerns. Very knowledgeable. I just wish I could find other sub contractors with the same exact expertise in the other trades. Someone always answers the phone and makes you an actual appointment with a time window you can count on.The work is meticulous and they always get me on their schedule without waiting weeks or months. We’ve tried five different plumbers since moving to Salem. Blaisdell was the first place that was willing to do whatever it took to figure out the issue - no shortcuts, and no chasing them down. Anthony worked with us to find a very specific faucet for an old sink, even though it took a couple of tries and a bunch of research to find the right one. At that point, other plumbers might have told us we needed to replace the whole thing; but Anthony persisted, saving us money and letting us continue to enjoy an antique fixture. To top it off, he didn’t charge us for all that effort. He clearly cares about quality, thoroughness, and the customer experience. The Blaisdell office was great to deal with as well: friendly, clear communication, and text notification of appointment times (which were always accurate). As my husband said, “I think we’ve found our plumber.”

Man, I cant recommend this place enough. For context, the radiators in my room havent worked for 2 years. And because the thermostat is in my room, the rest of the house is like a tropical sauna while Im watching my breath as I fall asleep. My landlord hired a plumber - who came multiple times - to fix the issue but ultimately told us, thats just radiator heat. I was, to say the last, frustrated. So I call Monday and get a super friendly woman on the other line who helps book me an appointment for Tuesday morning. Not only does the dude show up exactly when they said he would, but I get an automated text telling me hes on his way so Im not surprised. The plumber, Dan, was friendly, fast, and fully explained what could be causing the issue and why - taking the time to make sure I understood what was happening. That sounds insignificant but honestly, as someone who doesnt understand a thing about plumbing, it was frickin cool having someone talk me through it. He found a super cost efficient solution, spoke with my landlord, and now I got heat. It took less than an hour. Literally every step of the way - the initial phone call, the timing, the plumber, the work, the solution, was awesome. Im just upset I didnt call them two years ago.
