I was experiencing an issue where my heat was not working on my downstairs unit. Instead of the Big companies, I decided to support local businesses this go round. I made a VERY wise decision this morning by calling Nuckols! I submitted an email and was called back in 30 minutes and Nuckols had me on schedule between 1 pm and 3 pm the same day!!! Gerald W. was prompt, polite and personable! Gerald asked a few questions, checked some wiring and found out some of them had been crossed on the air handler board and some were actually burnt! About and hour later and Gerald had my downstairs working. Gerald had redone the wiring on my air handler board and I am pleased as blueberry pancakes with Nuckols and Gerald!!! If Gerald is a reflection of the business as a whole I have found my forever service!!! Give Nuckols a try, you wont be sorry!

This review was from 2 months ago. Ive added more in quotes about my more recent experience with Nuckols. I had a pull-down faucet that became loose at the base and needed tightening up. I called yesterday and got an appointment for this morning! Jeff was on time, very friendly, and efficient. Nuckols is my preferred plumbing company. On September 20th (Friday night) I discovered my water heater was leaking so called their emergency number. Within an hour, Steven F. came out and assessed the need to replace it. He was very reassuring that it was a slow leak and all I needed to do was sop up the water until they could replace it the following Tuesday. On Sunday I had another concern and he quickly returned my call and reassured me. On the day of the installation he and Hunter were fabulous (courteous, informative and efficient!) Nuckols is definitely my plumbing company!

Contacted Nuchols Plumbling , Heating & Cooling, for a pipe that was leaking that supplements the hot water to my heat pump. My heat pump utilizes the Hydronic (Aqua) coil as a supplemental heat. Consequently needed to find a company with a skilled technician that was knowledgeable with my unit. Chris came on time, and inspected the problem thoroughly, there were no fees involved for coming to my house and presented a very reasonable estimate. I highly recommend Nuckols Plumbing, Heating and Cooling as they are very professional and care for their customers.

As a new resident of Ashland, VA, I was very pleased with the service I received today from Nuckols Plumbing & Gas. From the time I called and spoke with the management of the company, until the end of the appointment with Albert, I felt confident in this business knowledge and expertise. Albert also mentioned other services they provide to include HVAC. What I really appreciated was that they didnt try to nickel and dime me or charge me an unrealistic service fee. In fact, the service fee was waived once I agreed to have them provide the necessary service, unlike other companies that I called that were going to provide a service fee, in addition to the cost/labor of the job. This is a business that I would recommend, and you will find a favorable rating on the BBB.

Dan came out to fix our leaking shower. We live in an apartment with original, 99-year-old pipes, so it was a bit of a challenge finding the right parts. Dan was diligent and hard-working. He also avoided doing major damage, like tearing down the shower wall or shutting off the water for the entire building. He was also kind and courteous. Now, our leak is fixed AND we have better water pressure. Thanks Dan!

I ran over an irrigation line and it started spewing water into the street. After calling six plumbers and the fire department and Henrico Public works all of which were totally unhelpful, I happened to call this company. Jeff was super useful and started helping me right away. He came right over and shut off the water and figured it what needed to be done and took care of it immediately. I am super grateful for his excellent work and Im glad to work with a local company and not one of the other big names that I called who were just useless. I will not hesitate to use this company again though hopefully I won’t have another emergency need. I recommend them highly.

Last night, I noticed gas was suddenly leaking out of the line under my cooktop. I was able to shut off the gas valve, but I couldnt sleep due to worrying about it. I called Nuckols first thing the morning to see if they could come fix it. The woman who answered was incredibly friendly and professional, and though they were extremely busy today, she understood the situation and was able get me scheduled for a repair crew to come the same day. Albert and Cayman showed up, immediately identified the leak, replaced the gas line and put me at ease....all within about 30 min! They double checked their work and gave me some tips on how to avoid a leak in the future. I cannot thank them enough for coming out so quickly, being so nice and fixing my gas line leak at a reasonable rate. Nuckols totally came through for my family. THANK YOU!

So, when we received a flyer in the mail indicating Nuckols was now doing HVAC work we called to schedule an appointment to have our system checked out before the winter months.James was our technician and to say we were happy with the service he provided is a vast understatement. Just like the plumbing experiences we had, James was knowledgeable, friendly and spent nearly 2 hours thoroughly checking our HVAC system. Suffice it to say, we will ALWAYS use Nuckols for all our plumbing, heating and cooling needs.

Ive used Nuckols Plumbing twice now. The first time they replaced our water heater. Prompt, polite, friendly . . . really the kind of experience you want. They pointed out some issues that were above and beyond and were very knowledgable. Price was reasonable.They did such a great job, I was happy to see they also did AC work when our AC died yesterday.I called them at 7:30AM. They were friendly even at that hour. The technicians were here by 9:00AM (exactly on time). I had working AC by 10AM. This was August so the speed was very appreciated.Again, the technicians were excellent. We recently move to Richmond and needed a plumber. Our house only has 1 bathroom and the toilet was clogged. I called Nuckols plumbing in a state of desperation. I was hoping they could come to my house immediately. Chris told me they were booked up for the day but he would do his best to get his guys over to our house. He went above and beyond. A crew was at our hours within 1 hour. They were efficient, pleasant and professional even stopping to play with my dog. We discovered roots had grown into the piping. They were able to fix the toilet temporarily so the house remained habitable until a larger fix could happen. The pricing was great and they were fantastic.

We have been working on a bathroom remodel over the last year (slowly on our end) and Tommy has worked with us to schedule everything from rough in plumbing, to installing a 400 lb cast iron tub that took 4 guys to get upstairs and in our bathroom, to our double vanity, sink, toilet, and shower. He is knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely a pleasure to work with. Unfortunately they werent able to come out Friday due to the tech calling in sick but came out on time on Tuesday, and sent text messages with tracking - great communication. Nuckols did a great job explaining our water heating system - it had some non-traditional components and a home-made solar heating system involved. Ken was able to explain how we can maintain the system, what to plan for, and what each pipe and lever did. Our biggest issue was not understanding how our system worked. Review is for HVAC service....Nuckols is a top-tier professional small business that I am thankful exists in this area. We bought our home a year ago and prior owners had a competitor install a Carrier Infinity System as well as a 2nd lower tier Carrier system back in 2018. Started having issues w/ the upstairs unit (Thermal lockout code) and later the downstairs unit. The two technicians that came to my house were simply awesome. On time, polite, wore shoe covers in house, explained to me exactly what was going on, and even fixed a setting on one of the systems down in my crawl space that enabled the unit to run w/ lower air flow more efficiently. I was so impressed with the service and results that I setup an annual maintenance program w/ them. A+ all around.

We had an amazing experience with this company. Daniel and David led the charge with their team in removing our 4 100 yr old radiators. The communication was awesome, proactive, and on time. They were friendly, stayed in good spirits despite it being a very difficult and messy job. Did I mention mess? Yeah almost no sign of that mess was left behind. They cleaned up as they went and even moved our furniture back. They also had someone who recycled the radiator components pick everything up. Plus Daniel had some great restaurant recommendations!

After having a water leak emergency March 2021 I quickly scoured Google reviews to locate a plumber. As many are aware, honest and reliable isnt easy to find when it comes to anything related to home repairs. After reading many 5-star reviews I decided to take a chance with Nuckols Plumbing and I am so happy I did! I left a message on a Saturday morning and received a call back from the OWNER! WOW!!! I was blown away. He returned my call within the hour. He offered to send someone out ASAP or since the water leak was not active due to our water being shut off, I could wait until Monday morning to save a few $$ and he would have a crew out first thing. As promised, I received a call first thing Monday morning and was advised that our technician, Tank was on his way. I also received a text with the exact GPS location showing his expected arrival. Tank is a awesome! He is very professional and honest. He advised us of our exact issue and even documented with photos. The photos were very helpful for our insurance claim. He repaired our issue and we had water back within a few hours. After our leak and superior experience we decided to have Nuckols perform our annual plumbing inspections. We had Tank come back out October 2021 to do a full pre-winter inspection. I cannot recommend Nuckols Plumbing enough!!! Thank you again, Shawn and Tank and all others who helped us during this very stressful time!

NUCKOLS Plumbing & Gas came recommended to me to install my MOENFLO home water leak detection system.Like anyone , I was a little nervous and apprehensive about what to expect with a stranger coming to my house to do some plumbing work.Those fears were totally unwarranted the minute I opened the door and met Adam Julien their plumber .Let me back up and say that I don’t usually leave reviews , I’m a busy person and everybody wants a review these days , however , in this case, I’m definitely going to make an exception because I feel like NUCKOLS PLUMBING & GAS was exceptionally excellent.First off they communicated with me every step of the way. Confirmed my appointment, the time frame window , and let me know when the technician was on the way. it was very refreshing.Comcast could learn from these people about communication and actually showing up in a 2 hour window .Adam came to the door with a mask on, he stated what he was doing, I showed him the location and he took it from there.He got done a lot quicker than I anticipated and came up from the cellar to take me a tour of the app when he was done.He answered all my questions thoroughly and even the “stupid ones “ I asked , he didn’t mind at all. He knew his stuff.He showed me the work he had done and it was EXCELLENT , he cleaned up after himself and I couldn’t have been more pleased.I will definitely be putting Nuckols Plumbing & Gas in my favorites phone list ... I hope I dont have to use them and my plumbing continues to work well... If something does happen however , I Will not hesitate to call them again and use them.I would recommend them to anyone without hesitation.I cannot say enough good things about them and they are one of the exceptional companies out here .Thanks again
