Excellent service. Went out of his way to hide all of the wires to my mini split and installed three fans. Did a great job, all look professional and look very nice. They were able to come out within a few days of calling! A little pricey, but you get what you pay for. Worth the money!

Albert Barnes came out and handled a drainage issue we had expertly and efficiently and afterwards was able to explain what would be needed from another type of service tech to handle a different problem we were experiencing. He helped us set up that appointment for the following day before leaving. Great experience with Michael & Son Services and Albert B. Timothy Brown came by the following day to handle a leak issue we were experiencing as well as installing shut off valves and an access panel. He was incredibly knowledgeable, polite, and efficient. Id hire either of these men any time to do more work.

Just wanted to share that your technician, Caleb K, is the nicest guy. He was an absolute dream to work with and is very knowledgeable about the trade. He inspected and tuned up our heating system, and installed a forever filter. He even guided me in the process of installing it and explained how to maintain it. He had a smile on his face the whole time. There was no indication that the snowy, cold weather was going to slow him down or ruin his day! We will be requesting his assistance in the future. I noticed my old water heater was leaking late one afternoon, and I knew I needed that taken care of asap. Michael & Son Services had one of their professionals, Joshua Steadman, come out first thing the very next morning. He was outstanding! I needed a brand new water heater installed, and the process was great. Josh knew exactly what he was talking about, very polite, very thorough with his work. Had Joan S service my small HVAC unit, he was great, considerate, educational, and friendly. He did not overcharge for anything and was down to earth. He explained everything that he was doing. He made sure he got the whole job done before completing the job. He had a lot of integrity in his work. While I didnt end up needing any repairs, I can say that Joan did a fabulous job with the tune-up/maintenance and was on time and effective.

I had my kitchen faucet replaced by Manuel Gonzalez of Michael and Sons. He called me to see if he could come early and I had no problem with that. My husband was home. He asked me if I had the new faucet. I told him yes. I got home before he arrived and found out that my daughter had taken the faucet for return. She thought this faucet could not be installed.Luckily, she had it in her car at work.My husband went to her job to obtain the faucet. Before he left, Manuel arrived. He stayed in his truck.After a while, I went outside to offer him water, he declined. Then I I asked if he would look at a second sink that we had been waiting over 2 years to fix in fear of cost.Manuel came right out of his truck, eager to help. Turned out that my cousin, who tried to fix it just had the wrong size pipe. LOLI was so happy. He installed my kitchen faucet, that couldnt be installed.He did an awesome job. Manuel cleaned his area up, didnt mind my questions and was very professional.I will be using Michael and Sons again.

Manual was professional, explained our options and then answered our questions as my daughter and I made our decision on the best option for our home. Jules was great, he arrived on time and was very polite. He let me know who he was where he was from and why he was there. He was extremely efficient and got to work checking on the heating system to make sure we are ready. He asked if we had any questions we had some not many. He answered all with great knowledge and an easy smile. He also was great with all of our dogs who wanted to help him, and I think at least on wanted to go home with him before he left. I had the electrical outlets replaced in my three bathrooms. James Page was my technician and he did an excellent job. James was very courteous from the moment he called to let me know he was on the way, up until the time he left. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and informative. I had an emergency leak on 12/12 around 8 pm. I called Michael and Son after hours, and the plumber arrived at my house within an hour. I was happy that I received a phone call and text message with the picture of the plumber before he arrived. Josh R. was professional and friendly and reviewed where the leak occurred and couldnt determine exactly what happened that caused the significant water leak to the first floor. The following day, I had the restoration associate arrive to provide a free assessment of the water damage that occurred to my ceiling and carpet. On 12/14, Josh returned to review the situation with the open ceiling and carefully looked at the pipes and tested filling up the tub with water. He patiently answered all my questions and determined the issue that caused the leak and fixed the issue. Plumbing can be very expensive, and I felt like he was honest and didnt try to state other problems. He took his time and didnt appear rushed or annoyed by the number of questions I asked. Thank you for fixing the leak. This is the first time I used Michael and Son plumbing.

The staff that came to our home were extremely kind, patient, and knowledgeable. The (unexpected but very necessary) installation of our new water heater was quick and efficient! Manuel and his assistant (can’t remember his name-sorry) were great! I had to later make an emergency call and Manuel returned back to our home and was just as helpful as he was during our first interaction! The other plumber that came for the emergency call (Justin) was also immensely helpful!! They answered all of my questions, explained each process in detail, listened to my concerns, and made sure that things were fully inspected and secure before they left. He walked me through the process and showed me everything that was being done. After the inspection. He made recommendations that might be needed without being pushy or giving a big sales pitch. He showed me pictures of what was cleaned and done. Being descriptive of each picture. The one item he suggested that may needed attention right away. It was decently priced and he took care of it right then and there. Afterward, he told me what was taken place and gave me my right up by email. Then on his way with a friendly smile and thank you. Pluming emergency, late night Wednesday call, Marcellus Almond showed up fast, identified a main house drain blockage, stayed until almost midnight to get the job done correctly and clean up. Thats a short story with all the major factors. Michael &Sons was a great experience and I truly hope they appreciate the professional, knowledgeable, and skilled plumber (Marcellus) that they have representing the, because he was outstanding!Update: As part of the original service, Michael & Sons does a camera inspection of the pipes to ensure theres nothing wrong with the pipes and that they are completely clear. AlbertBarnes came today to accomplish that and it was another excellent experience. He was fast, professional, knowledgeable, and is clearly another asset to this company.

They put on shoe covers before entering my home, since my water damage every company that came in did not care about that. James was very knowledgeable and informative, advised me to call dominion cause most of my issue was dominion fault, so he stayed with me while I called them letting them know what the issue was. Really liked James such a very nice young man!! Michael and son have got two very good employees, if James is training his assistant that came out with him then Michael and son will serve the community knowing that they are providing great knowledgeable service.Will be calling Michael and Son asking for James to complete any electrical work I need done.

Manuel was PHENOMENAL! He initially came to service our water heater but it needed to be completely replaced. He was able to assess the system and recommend the new one we purchased. He was able to get us on the schedule the following day for the install. His work on installing the new one was impeccable. Very neat and the finished product was pristine. He was extremely thorough in his explanation of what he did and what was added. Gave me complete instructions on the gas line, pilot, temperature adjustments and other features. Freida was very understanding and explained, in more detail, the reasoning behind some of what was left unsaid by the technician. Review edited from 1 to 4 stars because of the service received from this team.Original Review:Was really unimpressed with the level of service received from the technician at Michael and Son. He came over, took a look around for about 5 minutes, then suggested a whole system replacement to the tune of $7,000+. When I mentioned how expensive that was for what appeared to be a simple fix, just before Christmas time, he commented on the age of my equipment (12 years old?) and then stated that for what I needed to replace I was already 1/3 of the way there for cost, and that they offered financing. Completely tone-deaf. So, moral of the story, I had to pay $89 for this “service”, called James River Air for their “free second opinion”, and am back up and running with a simple part replacement that cost me $400 installed vs. $7,000. I will NEVER recommend this business. Clearly there was some commission at play. I wish there was some recourse for that $89 I wasted but I doubt they would even entertain a refund for this waste of time.

After 6 pm on the 24th I needed an electrician due to my power line being pulled away from the house, so I called Michael & Sons for the first time and within 5 minutes on the called had Dalton scheduled for the very next morning. They had to go to the county and obtain an emergency permit and inspection in order to get our electricity back on. Due to updated county code Dalton had to install an extension pole through my roof and run new line from the meter box (which he also upgraded to meet current code), and connect it to the pole for the power company to reconnect their power line to. All new cuts in roof were properly sealed. Very pleased with the quick response, courteous and professional work in such a timely fashion.

He made suggestions for my concern (emergency heat-EH comes on within increase of one degree) then he was done...so I thought--no way. He then thought to check the thermostat... He found irregularities in two setting options-#1-the EH was set to trigger 9x w/in 1 hour---REALLY😲 #2-the degree setting of when the EH would trigger was adjusted.I explained this as I understood it, so you HVAC gurus, dont judge me🥴😂I will monitor my bill, in hopes that these significant changes will decrease my $450+ DomVA bill during this season.Oh, last but not least, dont put off your HVAC needs/repairs...M&S has affordable finance options--take advantage😉Kudos to you Christian!!

Let me start by saying Michael and Sons is the best. They have been servicing my hvac since my last service company went out of business but on 7/13 they were just outstanding. On 7/13 at 1245am I had a toliet that was leaking and I got on line and saw they had an open that same day. I scheduled my appointment and a great technician named Justin showed up that even. Justin was professional, courteous,and respectful of my home. He explained to me why I was having the leaking toliet and showed me the correction and installed the new toilet I had purchased in about 20 minutes. He doubled checked his work and made sure the new toilet wasnt leaking. He then explained everything he did and even took pictures in case there were any future issues. He mentioned to me all the services they offered and at no time did I feel like he was trying to up sale me. He is truly a great tech who takes time and pride in his work. He kept his work area clean and neat when he left you couldnt even tell he was there. Every company should have great techs in there company. This young has a great future ahead of him.
