    On 12/19/24 Derek and Jeff installed a mini-split on our three season porch. They arrived promptly at 8:00. They were very professional and took time to answer all questions and concerns. Installation went very smoothly. After install was finished Derek explained how to operate the system. They did a great job with clean up and taking off all trash. So far we’re happy with the system. We highly recommend DNA.Thank you so much.

    Oooooh DNA heating and cooling..Had a referral from a well respected colleague and friend to contact this company for a fresh new install for our farm house.i went over my thoughts and concerns and he came up with a game plan for split units one in each room of the house (thank God).Derrick not only took my call long with the very accommodating office manager,came all the way to Amelia to get my install done with a fair price considering the drive to our home.Derrick was on par with making sure how we felt during and after the install, he called checked on us 30 days later to make sure everything was running smooth and as it should and our house was comfy for the kids.Had an issue with one unit for a brief moment he answered at night and called me back immediately and helped me remedy the easy which was just batteries in the remote!!Highly highly recommend DNA HEATING AND COOLING if you dont want to be ripped off, and have quality work done with a decent customer service experience.Thank you to Derrick and his wife for getting the job done and his techs.

    Great experience with DNA. Easy online scheduling and communication. Actually the office called due to a reschedule and Derek came a day early. I have been retired from the HVAC & mechanical industry and I was extremely impressed with his professionalism and most importantly…troubleshooting skills.     I recently signed up for a Bi-Annual service membership and could not be happier!!! Our technician spent a few hours THOROUGHLY cleaning and working on my system, and it looks brand new now.     DNA heating and cooling performed a house call to investigate some issues we had been having with our heat pump. After investigation it was clear that we needed a new unit. It’s been freezing and they were able to provide us with options and perform the work that week, 2 days after we called. They spent two days working non stop and even performed upgrades to our ductwork to ensure that our new unit lasts longer and is as efficient as possible. Derek and Micheal are great and explain everything they are doing and the reasoning behind it. They also go above and beyond with certain details: installing PCV instead of typical drain tubing which can degrade overtime, installing cable clamps, caulking around all appropriate fixtures. We will continue using DNA as long as we are in RVA.

    Derek with DNA Heating and Cooling was the only contractor who entered my crawlspace to look at my duct work and went through the entire thing taking photos of problem areas. The other contractors just gave me prices to replace my ac with a heat pump. While the other contractors gave me quotes that were less expensive than DNA they were not giving me good advice on how to achieve a properly balanced system. Derek went above and beyond to make sure my system was properly designed and added intake registers that were much needed to make the system work properly. No other contractors mentioned this. Thanks to his willingness to inspect the duct work we were able to identify many holes in the ducts that reduced efficiency as well as pulled crawlspace air into my house. If I had used the other contractors I would have spent less but would have had a poorly designed system that would cost more in the long run. He worked with my schedule and showed up on time and did a fantastic job. If you need HVAC done right the first time this is your company.

    Our A/C was out for three days. We had tried a different company in town, who came out and said it was an electrical problem they couldnt fix. No other HVAC company could come out for three or more days.     If they can’t figure it out right away they will not charge you until they get it figured out, and they will figure it out. They check to see if your parts are under warranty every time, so I only had to pay for their time, not any of the replacement parts.     Derek is an excellent HVAC and plumbing resource to have in hand when things breakdown. He has fixed my HVAC in the heat of summer and in the coldest winter months when things would’ve gone bad quickly. Most recently my shower drain failed causing a ceiling leak and he was there the next day with a plan that didn’t involve tearing out the shower floor. Knowledgeable, professional, and timely.     The guys from DNA helped me out of with some plumbing repairs that were a little beyond my knowledge. I had a couple of leaking items that needed addressing from a home inspection report in preparation to sell my current home.
