Our sink clogged, and after trying several home remedies, we called Lane Plumbing in the early evening and talked to the owner, Jim, as first-time clients. He said he would schedule us for the next morning. Later that evening the sink ran freely; one of the home remedies must have worked after all. We called Jim early in the morning, and he said that he doesnt believe in trying to fix something that is working, and readily canceled the appointment. He said that he suspected there was still a partial blockage (I agree) and proceeded to give us some good advice on how reduce the likelihood it would clog fully again. So far so good!We had two very pleasant chats, Jim was clearly very knowledgeable, and we really appreciated his suggesting we cancel the appointment rather than have someone come out and check. Thanks! Well definitely call again next time we have a plumbing issue.

Ive had Lane Plumbing to my house to do a few different jobs since its an older house. Each job has been done well and the plumbers that have worked on it have been pleasant to work with. They explain things very well so I understand what was done. Most recently I worked with Ty and he did a great job, going above and beyond to make sure he completed everything to my liking! I was even on the phone with the owner one day asking about getting my water heater flushed; instead of just taking my money, he explained the steps to me and said I dont need to hire them to do that. The price for other services has been one of the best Ive found in the area, and having that come with the quality of their customer service is top notch. Ill be using Lane for any plumbing needs in the future!

Once we made decision for them to do work, within 5 days the new line was replaced and they did it faster to avoid weather concerns. The process is not destructive to our yard - it looks great. After I messaged several photos of my 15 year-old water heater located in a crawlspace and described the symptoms to owner Jimmy Lane, Jane provided a prompt, itemized estimate for replacement, including a 10% senior discount on labor. Lane was the best of several estimates, and the service was scheduled the next day. Workmanship and communication was excellent, and the crew even identified a hazardous grounding issue and recommended an electrician who quickly resolved the problem the same day (this fix would have been required for safety reasons regardless of the plumber used). I received a follow-up call the next day to confirm that all was satisfactory. These folks really care about their customers, and I highly recommend them!

They solve plumbing issues that some of the other plumbing company with lots of TV commercials and ads could not!I had a problem with a kitchen vent, I and I first called a huge plumbing company and they gave up after 2 days of work because they said they needed to remove most of my kitchen cabinets first. Based on my basic understanding of plumbing, I decided call Lame plumbing for a second opinion. Lane plumbing not only fixed the blockage right away from the roof, but they did not have to remove any of my kitchen cabinets.They fixed the problem right away at a very reasonable price. Lane Plumbing saved the day for me, my wife and our kids!I have used them for other routine things like upgrading a garbage disposal and I have been very happy with their knowledge, professionalism and quality of work.Ps- Lane’s plumber is in high demand, so do not be afraid to leave a message if you get their voicemail, they have always call back as soon as they can.

The other day we woke up to no hot water. When we went out to the garage to take a look at the water heater it was leaking severely. After reading several reviews online we decided to call Lane Plumbing. The owner, Jim, actually answered himself. I explained the situation to him and that I was having surgery the next day so any thing he could do would be a big help. He assured me he would do everything he could to get me taken care of that day and he did! His crew was out that evening to install a new water heater and did a fantastic job. I highly recommend them and will be using them for all my plumbing needs.

Daniel and Ty did an awesome job! They were on time, quick to assess the situation and not judgmental at what my husband had done before they got here! Extremely knowledgeable and willing to explain my options in terms I could understand. It was a big job and they worked quick and precise the whole time! We had a pipe burst in our finished basement during the evening. The receptionist (I forgot her name - Sorry!) was very helpful and caring in all of our interactions with her over the next 3 days. Mr. Lane even answered the phone himself a couple of times, and recommended some restoration folks to handle the cleanup! Nelson arrived first thing the next day, and the following day to make repairs and replace several corroded fittings. The problems just kept growing, due to the poor original construction of our homes plumbing (brass fittings on well water). It became a monstrous project and he took it all in stride. He was terrific! We then discovered several more corroded fittings and Lane sent Daniel out on the third day. Daniel was especially outstanding in every way, helping us find all the corroded fittings that we could possibly gain access to. He also suggested some other fixes to help us avoid problems in the future. It was a HUGE undertaking for both servicemen, but they both performed exceptionally well with their knowledge, kindness, professionalism, patience, and expertise. Three days sounds like a long time, but they both worked quickly and efficiently. It was just an incredibly tedious job as we got further into it. They probably replaced 50 or 60 fittings that were all corroding badly and in danger of bursting like the first one. They were more than willing to do the job, and do it RIGHT the first time, even as we kept finding more problems. They cleaned up well after themselves and were very courteous. Lane Plumbing is now on our speed dial for any future problems or regular maintenance. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I am grateful that I came across Jimmy Lane with Lane Plumbing. I did a DIY project over the weekend that turned out disastrous. When I spoke to Jimmy, somehow he turned my embarrassment into laughter. He sent out Mark and Jerry who fixed my issue promptly and the cost was very reasonable. I was so impressed with the work that I gave them another job and Mark showed up the very next day to get that job done. I admire Marks work ethic. I needed a plumber after water leaked (flowed heavily) from a pipe behind a wall in my master bedroom. Lane Plumbing was the fourth company that I contacted to get estimates. After speaking with Jimmy for a minute, I knew that his company would get my business. His interchange with me was caring, professional, and respectful. His technicians arrived a couple of hours later. They, too, were professional and efficient. The men diagnosed and repaired the problem within two hours. Our water heater split the bottom seam on a Saturday and was leaking for 2 prior days in the basement. Part of the basement is finished with carpet so the carpet soaked up the water and I stepped into the room to find 1.5 inch water. When I called Jennifer answered immediately, was sympathetic to my situation, calmed me, assured me they could help. She walked me thru the process to stop the water running, and recommended and called an emergency water damage company to get them out to start the clean up. Lane communicated constantly with me on availability of a replacement parts, costs and their arrival times. The crew was prompt, efficient, thorough, polite, respectful and it was very obvious they knew what they were doing.The entire disaster was in process of being resolved in 8 hours.

Called Lane Plumbing after two other companies were unable to unclog my sewer line. The second company said they may be able to unstop clog by using a light and then a backhoe in the yard for a price of $2800 +, I called Lane to get a third opinion and Im so glad I did. They gave me an estimate over the phone, sent two plumbers out to assess and repair the problem for less than 450. They were professional and courteous from start to finish. Give them a try.

I attempted to call a few plumbers before reaching Lane plumbing in the listings. The first few did not answer the phone mid day. When I got to Lane plumbing the phone was answered, which showed me they actually wanted business. I asked if my job was considered too small and if they did residential work. It was explained that my request could be accommodated and an approximate cost was given. I was also asked for photos so that we could be sure we were on the same page and the plumbers could be sure to be prepared. I was told that the work could be scheduled the same day or the next since it was already close to noon. I received a call within an hour or two stating that the job could be scheduled the same day and they could arrive in about an hour. They arrived right at an hour later and once I showed them the issue and gave a little more information on possible access points, they went right to work and before I knew it they were done, very quick work. The price came in as quoted and the work was efficient and great workmanship. I would recommend Lane Plumbing to anyone who needs plumbing work done. I am a DIYer but definitely think this job was worth paying for.HCDRaleigh NC

After the replacement of my countertops to granite which included an under mounted 18G sink, Lane Plumbing came out to reconnect the plumbing including installing faucet and garbage disposal. Dan, the plumber discover a serious issue with configuration of the old plumbing pipes which would totally need to be redesigned to work with my new sink. Dan made a second trip back to his shop to get the necessary tools to meet the challenge of attaching new pipes to the sink. His years of experience as a plumber saved me more expense of having to cut into the concrete to attach piping. Thanks Dave for representing Lane Plumbing well!!!

JR Lane plumbing is one of the most honest plumbers ive worked with over the years. They do excellent work as well! Jimmy does not try to drive cost up through multiple service calls and will typically give recommendations on what to try to help save some costs. Jimmy has saved me alot of money by being more thorough than other plumbers who just want to charge you as much as possible via service calls and/or fixes that costs way more than they should.I had a sewer back up issue that another plumbing company told me was a cracked line(after charging me $100 to run a camera through my drain from outside the house to my sewer...less than 8ft). The other plumber wanted to charge me $1000 to come out and dig up the pipe and lay a new pipe, again no more than 8ft. I called Jimmy, and without coming out he asked me a series of questions, leading to the fact that my house was 7-8yrs old and I had just moved in 2yrs ago AND never had my sewer drained. I did not know if the previous owners had done so either. Jimmy said that is likely the issue and referred me to a sewage company to drain my sewer, which solved the issue. I wanted to also check the pipe to ensure it was not cracked, Jimmy sent 3 guys to shovel dig the trench and check the pipe, which only cost me ~$200. Jimmy saved me anywhere from $500-$700 easy on getting this fixed.I recommend JR Lane Plumbing if you want an experienced plumber, good customer service, and honesty!Thanks Jimmy most of all for the honesty! At the end of the day, I have to pay someone any way, Id rather pay someone who has great morals when it comes to dealing with their customers.MJ

Kitchen faucet sprayer malfunctioning - called late in afternoon; problem fixed by noon the next day - that is what I call SERVICE! Personnel easy to deal with and easy to talk to. Was even advised why the slight delay as a part had to be obtained. When personnel arrived, they even removed their shoes so as not to track anything on the tan carpet - this was totally unexpected and MUCH appreciated. Let me begin by stating that good plumbing aint cheap...and it should not be. If you want cheap, then get ready to spend more in the long run and suffer all the trouble that comes with it.I used Lane Plumbing for the first time last week to find and fix the problem with my water heater. It is a Navien tankless heater and I am really happy with it. It is 10 years old, and to my surprise, I should have been getting it serviced every year or so to have it flushed out. The mineral buildup from the water is a killer. Now, I know.I had just returned from a hospital stay after surgery and could not shower for a few more days, but when I could, I really wanted it to be a hot shower. Fortunately, I knew the heater had a problem so I called Lane on a Thursday. Ty and Nelson showed up on schedule on Friday and diagnosed the problem. They would flush the unit to see if the less expensive solution would fix the problem. While it was flushing, they checked and replaced the shower valves in the master bath, which were also 10 years old and while might have been OK, I decided that replacing was smart. Back to finish the flush. No joy. I needed a new one.It was now 3 PM on Friday! The office manager, Jane got busy and found one...the exact machine as mine. The team picked it up and returned to my place at 4, installed the equipment and I had hot water by 5:15!Over the weekend, one of the showere handles developed a drip. drip, drip...some trash came through and got caught in a seal. I called Jane on Monday morning and later that day, Daniel showed up, cleaned the valve and no more drip.While he was there, I mentioned that the heater took a long time to push hot to the shower and sinks and such, so he checked the water heater. He found that there was a switch that came from the factory set for an external recirculation pump. My system has an internal pump. (It makes no sense that they ship a heater that has an internal pump set as if it needs an external). He flipped the switch and we have instant hot water everywhere.While he was there, he noticed a little more drip into the pan than was normal for standard condensation. Further investigation revealed a deteriorated washer in a pipe connection from the original install. He fixed it.We went downstairs to check the heat at the kitchen sink, the furthest from the heater, and he noticed the handle was loose. He quickly tightened it up and hea was done.What a great experience!I think that Jane, the office manager has as strong a grasp of plumbing of most plumbers I have met. The plumbers are all Lane employees, not sub-contractors. They are well trained and all have lots of experience. Nelson has worked for Lane for 30 years! I think Ty said he has been there for 8 and I dont remember how any Daniel has worked there, but he obviously enjoyed the company. I mention all this because the workforce being stable is really important. The more stable they are, the stronger indication of a successful company. A company can not stay in business unless they continue to have a strong customer base, and that only comes from good work.As I said, good work does not come cheap, but I no longer want to do this work myself so I will keep them on my list. The owner contacted me after seeing my previous review to discuss it. I explained to him I felt my concerns werent address and we went back over my first call. Im glad to say we resolved my concerns and he sent another team Jerry & Darnell out to address my toilet issues. Jerry found it was a worn out fill valve. Lane plumbing repaired it at no cost.It says alot about a company when they addressa problem and come to an agreement and satisfy a customer.Lane Plumbing came out and replaced a 3/4 water pressure valve in crawlspace billed $375.00 /350 was labor 25 tax go figure. workers were here less than an hour. Never agai will I use them, didnt listen to my concerns. i still have noise in pipes, which owner diagnosed over phone and said it was just a PRV issue.
