I used the Plumbing Authority for the first time yesterday and highly recommend them. The scheduler was pleasant and efficient, and I had a plumber on site within an hour and a half, which was SO appreciated! Communication about timing, procedures, and costs was excellent. Mikhail, the plumber, was professional, polite, and very easy to work with. He fixed the problem and took extra time to look at the configuration of lines in an old house to address possible future problems. The cost was very reasonable, less than I had anticipated. While this was a fairly minor job, based on this experience I would not hesitate to call them for other work in the future.

We had Plumbing Authority replace a gas hot water heater and replace some old pipes. They did a great job! We called them on a Friday, they came out same day and gave an estimate on a few different options. We chose an option at that time. On Tuesday they came and performed the work and were done the same day. They were very polite and respectful. We will call them if we need any more work done in the future. Highly recommend. I knew I had a leak but just didn’t know where. I called the Plumbing Authority for the first time and they promptly came when promised. Jake N found that the problem was the main water line from the meter to the house and has scheduled the Field Supervisor to come out tomorrow for the repair options since he is the one specialized in this area. I was very impressed with Jake and his knowledge, and he was extremely polite.Update 10/15/24: Today Ray and Cody came out to replace my water line from the meter to the house. I live in a condo community with a small front yard that has a lot of buried utilities and communication lines. They took such great care in making sure they could bore under and around all of those with no issues. The line was replaced, they cleaned up the garage and yard, hardly leaving a trace they were here. They were both so polite and took great care of my home. I will definitely use The Plumbing Authority again. I highly recommend them. Thank you again!!!

I was impressed that Jake and his assistant Jake wore shoe covers. They worked us into their already tight schedule and got us our quote so the home buying process can progress another step. Awesome. Thank you all so much. He was friendly and so courteous; he kept our home clean and was careful about shutting doors behind him (we have an indoor cat, so this matters to me). Mikhail, was very professional and informative. Even though I was unable to physically be at the location for the estimate, we spoke on the phone both before and after, with a detailed conversation. The price seems high, compared to the first company, but we’ll see how they compare with the other two companies.The Plumbing Authority installed a new water line at my cabin the last of September. The plumbers that came out were Ray and Cody. I could not have asked for two more professional installers! They even worked in the rain until it got so bad it became unsafe. Ray is extremely knowledgeable and a very pleasant personality. I Highly Recommend The Plumbing Authority and be sure to ask for Ray! You will Not Be Disappointed!

Was a good experience overall, Stephen was super knowledgeable. The price to install a garbage disposal at a house that didnt ready have one was $850 which I honestly thought was very high but he stated it was necessary to keep the company profitable and ensure that neither him or the company lost money. His work seems good and there is a warranty that will allow a return visit within the next couple years if things malfunction. He was also in and out within a few hours, outside the price being a few hundred bucks higher than I expected the service was good and he was great.

Yesterday Jake flushed hot water heater installed last year to maintain efficiency and longevity. He explained process and expected results. I found The Plumbing Authority based on excellent reviews. The sound of running water when there shouldnt be any is terrible on Saturday morning. Jake came expecting to find my reported water heater but instead found supply line leak in the yard and dug hard to find the source. Its fixed correctly and I am so very relieved. He knew what he was doing and did it quickly in sticky clay mud. Thank you, Jake. Im glad that Ill know to call The Plumbing Authority next time and Ill ask for Jake.

We have used The Plumbing Authority for water supply repairs several years now. They’re easy to schedule for appointments, have a 24 hour hot line, if needed and show up on time with the parts to complete the job! Our technician this visit, Alex, was personable and explained the issue clearly. While the quote may be more than some smaller contractors, it was reasonable and I know it’s backed by a company that has a very good reputation. Alex finished the job timely and I know it was done professionally, so will last. I would recommend the PA crew to anyone that wants quality work done.This update review is for the PA visit on December 10th. Mr Steven called before leaving your shop to let us know he was headed to our home. He was excellent, five stars and had the job done within a short time .The repair was fairly straightforward and he gave us three quote levels, the most expensive included changing out the commode, which was not necessary. The other two were still rather pricey and we are retired, so went with the lowest cost, which still included changing out the both ifill and flush items. If your company had not mailed the discount card earlier in the year, we may have shopped around more. This cost for basic replacement is the reason for the lower four star overall rating this service visit.We will continue to consider PA for all our plumbing needs going forward.

Steve did a great job. He performed a comprehensive examination of the toilet and sink. He fully explained what he was doing and why. After the examination he explained why the toilet appeared clogged and what the real issue was. I needed a new toilet and Steve measured and made sure he was going to order the right one for my height. I appreciated that immensely. Then he explained everything again including the charges. He was very responsive to all my questions. I feel very appreciative of his thoroughness and kindness. I definitely recommend The Plumming Authority!

I want to share with you our experience working with Plumbing Authority. We called them because of so many great reviews. We were surprised that a tech was able to service our problem the same day we called. Alex came out about an hour after our call in. We had a a toilet that would not stop running after a flush, so we assumed it was a float and or valve not working properly. Alex seemed very knowledgeable abd was extremely polite with us. After his review, he explained he needed to replace both the valve at rhe wall and the the flapper mechanism inside the toilet. Then explained it would cost $567. We were both in complete shock! Prices are crazy everywhere so was this just one of those things that have increased that much? Im thinking its cheaper for us to buy a new toilet and have it installed. I looked at one at Home Depot for $200 (mid price) thinking I could get installed maybe $100-$150. He said if he replaced the toilet it would cost $850. Im in shock once again. Our toilet was only 2 years old, so Im not sure why it was even having a mechanical issue but it was. He tested our water softness and said it was pretty bad and could be the reason. Although we dont visibly see much scale on shower heads or sink facets. We decided to let him just fix the valve and flap for $567 and move on. It took him 15 minutes. Geesh again he was very kind and super efficient. But really? Does it cost $567 to change a valve at the wall and the flapper piece inside a toilet? $300 seems high but could have better understood that price. Im still in shock and was in a time crunch or I would have shopped it for another price to compare. I cant say if this was fair or ridiculous... I wish I knew.But Alex was great. And the service on the phone call was great and our toilet is no longer running.

Cant say enough good things aboutAlex.Whatever you are paying him is not enough.Figured out the problem in under 60 seconds and had it fixed in about 5 minutes.Saved me a lot of money compared to the first company that came out to give me an estimate. The lowest was for a tank rebuild at $580, a new toilet for $820 and a water treatment system for $7K (????)I will be using The Plumbing Authority again and will be referring as many people as I can.Great people make a good company.ANOTHER POST. The schedulers responded quickly throughout, and the estimator and plumbers arrived as promised each time, and got the job done right. Keith made some really great suggestions for the present and future, including a laundry pump for our below-grade setup, which was a perfect solution to a problem that I didnt know I had. The main job was a 100-ft trenchless water main, connected to a PEX manifold in my utility room, which Ray and Rio completed to perfection. Before calling PA, our original rehab plans included water main changeout later down the road, but leaks were developing, so it got bumped up the priority list, and having other projects in the pipeline, we could not do a full re-pipe at that time, but strictly the water main and laundry pump. All of the guys--Keith, Ray, and Rio offered very helpful suggestions throughout the process, and navigated like true professionals through all of the speedbumps that our unusual property could throw at them. I will definitely call the Plumbing Authority in the future. -Charlie

I got their name through Angie, and they called me even before I was able to call them. The person I talked with on the phone was friendly and able to understand our problem. Plus, they were able to have someone out the same day. Steve was able to analyze our situation, recommend a solution, and explain it clearly. He even wore shoe covers to keep the floors clean. The work wont be cheap, but it seems a fair price. Couldnt be done right away, because it will take a week or so to get the right items, but thats life. Fortunately not an emergency situation. On the whole, they are a very professional outfit.

My DIY attempt at a repair failed late one afternoon. I expected to be without water for a couple of days. I called PA (based on glowing recommendation from previous customer) and Jake showed up in about 30 minutes! He was obviously knowledgeable and very professional. He explained exactly what the problem was, including a demo with a piece of pipe, and what he would do to fix it (which included cutting into an exterior wall) and an estimated cost. He did exactly what he said, make a great repair to the wall, and was done in an hour, and my water was back on. Very satisfied.

I was very pleased with everything that Jake did but I was disappointed in the amount of subfloor that was taken out and replaced. The quote made by Makhail was supposed to have a carpenter included to replace the subfloor that was damaged. Jake said that he was only supposed to replace enough to replace the toilet and that the tile people might need to do more. Fix it for good! This was not done, in fact Makhail told me that the carpenter (sub contractor) would make the project seamless for the tile to be installed. Only one person showed up and he did what he was told to do. That’s all for now 🤔

One crew is working inside the house while the other is busy outside excavating 135 of 60+ year-old cast iron pipe and replacing it with code PVC. Its obvious these guys are professionals--they go about their work without interruption and seamlessly work together to complement the completion of each step in the process. In their excavation, they found portions of an old walkway buried; no problem, well haul it away for you, came their response. Plumbing Authority is now my plumber of choice, and I recommend it without reservation.Chris came to my house Saturday on 1-hour’s notice to review the plumbing work completed during the week. He observed a weak gasket in a toilet and alerted Plumbing Authority to order a new, custom-fit gasket. Steve called me Monday to schedule a plumbing visit later that day to repair the weak toilet gasket. Plumbing Authority is on top of things and really defines good customer service.My initial contact with Plumbing Authority was with Mikhail who provided me with an estimate for sewer replacement. Mikhail was patient as he listened to my meds and professional as he went about preparing a detailed, 4-page estimate offering different options for replacement. Arrived on time, very professional and nice! They were efficient and were great working around my doservice! Project was a new water line from the street to the house, as well as an entire redo of the plumbing in the entire house. They finished the project quickly and on budget. This company sets the bar for professionalism and customer service. I had two major indoor and outdoor (main water line replaced) and they were spot on and offer interest free financing. It helps when faced with a major unexpected cost. I did not hesitate when my hot water heater went out to call them. I went with their recommendations and Mikhail Lynch is fantastic. He even checked to see if the water had penetrated my walls and flooring and unfortunately it had. I appreciate he thoroughness. I have manufacturer and company warranties on everything they installed. This is not your typical old school plumbing company. Technology with cameras to scope drains and the pictures they took, helped with the insurance company as well. Absolutely recommend The Plumbing Authority for your plumbing needs.

Had a drain re-pipe done. Plumbing is expensive. But they have great financing options. Everyone I dealt with after my initial consult was great. First guy was a bit too much doom and gloom. Field inspector, Mikhail, and other plumber Marc were great. Easy to book within the week. All work completed quickly within a week of my first consult. They also warranty their work for ten years so. I felt like I was in good hands. Would definitely recommend.

If you have an outside leak in your main water line, look no further than The Plumbing Authority. The company owns a bore drilling machine, and its prices are considerably cheaper 25% - 33% than other Knoxville area plumbing companies, who have to hire an independent bore drilling firm and tack on its own fees. My first encounter with The Plumbing Authority came by apppointment and on-time arrival of Mikhail Lynch. He quickly determined that my leak was outdoors and that the steep incline in my front yard would prevent the existing water line from being excavated. The Plumbing Authority installed a brand new flexible plastic line inside a separate hard plastic sleeve, which will prevent damage to the new main water line from settling rocks in the soil and also insulate against the winter subfreezing temperatures. Mikhail described the project in advance and had a tablet to show me the bore drilling machine the company owned. Mikhail came across as very professional and thus made a great first impression for the company. The work was completed so quietly that working inside my house I never heard the bore drilling machine. Where my old main water shut off valve required me to perch on a ladder and slide my entire arm into the opening, I now have a modern pull down lever -- straight down means water is flowing; perpendicular to the pipe means the valve is closed in easy reach from a bedroom closet. Goodbye wobbily indoor ladder!

We have an older home that’s getting to be the age where original parts are failing. Plumbing Authority came highly recommended, and I understand why! The work was done beautifully and carefully. The tech was fully prepared, on time, and did gorgeous work. He even made some minor alterations to the piping for the water heater so that maintenance will be easy for access for us. We got maintenance instructions on everything, tips for preventing issues, and an idea of what repairs will need to be done in the next 5 years. This is EXACTLY what I hope for when a repair person comes out. I wouldn’t want any other plumbing company to work on our house after this.

I really appreciate the care that Chris took during his time installing my new water heater. He told me before what he was going to be doing, updated me when he started doing the task.He laid down floor coverings throughout the house where it was needed. Even with the floor covering down to cover the hardwood floors, he wore shoe coverings each time he entered the house. He promptly took them off as before he stepped outside so as not to track anything in the house.

I had an underground leak that was examined by a couple of other companies. I called the Plumbing Authority and they sent Mikhail out to the house. He searched for the leak and could not find it so he gave me a straightforward estimate, and also provided me with a great outline of what other companies could do. He was not trying to sell any one service, just providing positives and negatives.Because of this good service call, I decided to use them to reroute my water into the house. Ray and Rio were the two workers who came out and perform the job of rerouting it. They did an excellent job, and both of them were professional, pleasant kind, and efficient. My water was not off for too long and they performed the difficult job within an afternoon.I hope to never have to call about any plumbing services in the future, but if I have to, I will likely reach out to the Plumbing Authority again.

The Plumbing Authority installed a gas, tankless water heater for us last year. We had them back for descaling the unit again this year to maintain its efficiency. As usual they were prompt and courteous and they are great with notifications. We had to have our entire house replumbed after the cold weather this past winter. Our house was poorly done by the previous owner and they even use the wrong PVC pipe under the house. We had leaks everywhere after the cold weather. The plumbing authority replumbed our entire house with PEX all the way to every faucet in the house. They did their usual sterling job and continued to follow up to make sure we were completely satisfied. I added some exterior faucets at the time and some places that I really wanted one and I was very pleased with the entire job. Now I call them for maintenance. They can handle it all.

Jake is very knowledgeable. He explained what his plan was to correct the problem Im having with my tankless water heater. After working on the water heater(flushing the system) I tested the hot water. It was much better that before. He also advised and removed the flow restrictor from the shower head that was one of the main issues that we were having with the hot water in the shower. Jake explained to me that there was another issue with the heater. He returned and replaced a thermostat and valve. After these repairs the water heater is like new. Im very pleased with Jake and will call The Plumbing Authority from now on for any plumbing issues that I have.Thanks Jake!!
