Zach and George worked in our home for 2 weeks taking care of repairs on behalf of our builder, Goodall. While the process was lengthy, they showed up promptly every day and kept us informed about the process. We are super grateful for Mr. Handyman’s flexibility, especially after our home repairs were paused for over a month, due to an issue with mold. They showed respect for our home and our furniture while working by ensuring everything was covered including our hard wood floors and all furniture. They pride themselves on quality work and they did an amazing job with our bathroom remodel, plumbing, drywall, and painting. Thanks again.

He not only fixed our leaky toilet quickly but inquired if we had any other issues he could address since he was able to resolve the toilet issue so quickly. He checked our toilet in the master bedroom and replaced a valve so the water would turn off in a timely manner. Two jobs completed in less than an hour saving us the expense of another visit! We will always use Mr. Handyman!

After buying my first house in Knoxville (states away from friends & family). I decided to install a tile standup. To make a long story short, I hired a company (that I will not name) who was well reviewed & licensed/insured. This review is not about them, BUT they had to install the shower twice because of poor craftsmanship. This took 4 months, couldn’t maintain employees causing 6 techs to work on this job. Finally, I was “satisfied” just wanting it all over & given a 1-yr warranty.I was working about 70+h/wk, so it was 3 mths later when I noticed water leaking out of the wall b/w the shower & the bedroom. Water was pooling by the baseboard under the window in the bedroom. I found Mr. HM online w/ A+ google reviews. They quickly sent out a tech (Andrew) & he immediately determined that the water was coming from the shower.I had issues w/ the original contractor to honor their warranty and remove the mold caused by the leaking shower due to a poorly folded/installed shower pan and repair the damage to the floors/walls & replace the shower. Mr. Handyman without expectation of being able to get this repair job helped me significantly. The owner even came by my house with his tech a 2nd time to determine the extent of the leakage & damage to give the other company a written list of repairs (2nd opinion). Afterwards the owner wanted to help me & made calls to a company he trusted to assess the mold infestation. 5 mths later, after firing the other company & beginning repairs out of pocket bc they would not honor their warranty or faulty work, I was able to get the mold quickly repaired & they did a fantastic job.Happy with Mr.HM, I requested Scott (the estimator and project manager of this job) to come by for the estimate. He was such a nice guy, excited by the possibility of the job, cared about quality & my satisfaction. He was immediately someone I felt that I could not only trust with the project, but with my home, which was not an easy feat since my last experience was abhorrent and violating.When they started, I just had a giant hole to the crawl space in the master bedroom and bath. The experience with Scott was phenomenal, we initially sat down and planned a basic shower using my previous design for the shower. Scott asked me what I would really want in my bathroom if I could have anything and I replied “huge shower”. He had many ideas to make my shower larger with the current size of my bathroom, but quickly realized it wouldn’t be much more $ for me to move the BR wall (my bedroom was huge) & increase the BR size. He designed the perfect BR that fit my budget!After quick scheduling, the first 2 on the job were Kevin and Zach, who were excellent workers with both speed & craftsmanship. I was working from home during the first 2 of weeks of the job & was worried that I would be uncomfortable being a young woman alone in her home w/ strangers BUT not at all! They caused ZERO STRESS & felt safer with them around! They were incredibly courteous, kind, and helpful! They walked me through all the steps of what they were doing, why, and how which was so useful for me to understand what was going on in my home! They constantly asked me what my preference was for the details and advised me when I was unfamiliar with the decision. I could not have asked for both better people and workers in my home!I went to Iceland for 10 days during construction. During which Scott would text me updates & I had zero worries while I was gone! When I came back job was 2 days from being complete and BETTER than I had imagined. Yancy did an amazing job installing the shower walls and doors! Scott told me to make a list of any minor repairs Id need to their work and theyd come out and fix it. Its now been 4 months and I havent added a single item to that list!!!After this fantastic experience I can’t imagine ever using another company for any of my future home repair jobs!

Jim and Hunter worked inside and outside our home for a week. They did everything from inside and outside painting of newly installed doors, garage door trim repair and painting, dry wall and woodwork repair, pressure washing of gutters and doorknob and door hinge replacement. We had damaged woodwork for which we could not find matching replacement boards. So they expertly filled, sanded and painted all of the damage. They were punctual, knowledgeable and very skilled. They answered every question we had and even helped plan, measure and put together a list of needed materials for the future repair of our front porch - that we will be scheduling soon! Thank you.

We had a dryer vent become disconnected in the wall (unknown location). Raymond Jones found the correct location to open the wall and discovered where the pipe had separated (see pic). He fixed the pipe in such a manner that it should not happen again and then repaired the sheetrock such that you could never tell a large rectangle had been cut. Luckily we had some extra wall paint on hand, and the end result was perfection. Highly recommend Ray and Mr Handyman.

I called and scheduled Mr. Handyman to replace a chandelier with a ceiling fan as well as install a dog door in the sunroom of a house we recently bought (built in 1968). On the scheduled day of my service, Kevin arrived on time and was extremely friendly and ready to get to work. Upon his arrival, I decided I’d actually rather switch the chandelier with another ceiling fan (instead of get rid of the chandelier all together), and he said he could do it no problem. It actually took him way less longer than expected, about an hour and a half! When he was done, he was very informative about the new location of the fan and that I could expect it to “wobble” if placed on the highest speed (this was due to the more shallow depth of my ceiling and 100% not his fault or something he could change). I didn’t mind as I had it done more so for cosmetic reasons, but he ensured me it should still be a safe and functional fan. When it came to installing the dog door, he went out to purchase one to install. Unfortunately upon his return, we realized my stout pitbull-mix needs a wider dog door that would also fit in the wooden paneling of the room (that unfortunately Kevin couldn’t find on the day of his service). He gave me the exact dimensions of a dog door that would fit and suggested I order one that he could install at a later date. Before he left he asked if he could do anything else, and I remembered my master bathroom fan was not working! He happily agreed to take a look. In just a few minutes, Kevin determined the source of the problem and had it fully functioning again. He was again informative about what I should do should it “stop working” again. This was my first experience with a handyman service and I couldn’t be more impressed or satisfied, Kevin was awesome!

I needed help trying to find water leak that was getting under hardwood flooring by back door. Yancy from Mr. Handyman was great to have doing the repair. He took time to inspect to find the incoming leak which was because the flashing was not installed correctly above the door. He fixed that and replaced the hardwood flooring planks that were buckled quicker than I expected. I definitely recommend using them for repairs around the house.

He finished it faster than he estimated, and there was time left on the clock for him to take care of a minor issue I had been unable to fix on my own. In addition, he gave me a quote for a small paint job, explaining what is involved and how it will need to be staged. I am a female homeowner, and I appreciated his thoughtful explanations about things he wanted to make sure I knew, but without talking down in any way to me.Finally, no fingerprints on my ceiling (!!) which has been my repeated bad experience with lighting installers.

He was very gracious, gave my husband an estimated time to be finished, worked hard, and was very sweet to my kids. It was so nice to have a company show up when they said they would, finish in the time they said they would, and charge us the initial estimated cost. Our service provider, Ezra, was very professional and explained his process for repairing the hardware holding the ladder. When he finished, our attic ladder was sturdy and worked well. Before we called Mr. Handyman, we had a step ladder with a set of crutches on two wooden blocks holding our attic door closed right in the middle of our walk-in closet. I needed a camera wire located up under soffit on a second story home. Ezra Howell came out and knew exactly what to do and removed a section of the soffit and located the wire without any difficulty at all, then replaced the soffit section. He was on time for our appointment, was very personable and polite and completed the work in a very short time frame even as it rained. I was very impressed with his knowledge and professional approach to the problem. Repaired shingles that had blown off the roof of my shed. Workers were great and did a excellent job. My only minor complaint is the price of the service. The two handymen were at my house for half an hour and it cost me $222. This was no surprise to me since the company was very upfront about the cost. The cost was the only reason I gave a rating of 4 instead of 5.

I called because I had a small project I didnt know how to tackle. When I called they made an appointment at my convenience and made sure I knew who was coming and when they would be there. They were also very clear on their pricing and what my expectations should be. The handyman showed up as scheduled and completed the work. It turned out to be more straightforward than I anticipated and he even suggested possible upgrades if I wanted to do more later. I am a first time customer of Mr. Handyman. I run machinery in my home attached garage 24/7 and consequently, the garage gets very hot. As a solution, I purchased some vents (two different types) for placement in my garage door. Although this particular operation is not listed specifically by Mr. Handyman as a service, they agreed to take on the project. Travis Bower, my technician, was on time for the appointment. Moreover, Travis was very professional, friendly, communicative and knowledgeable. He installed the vents in less time than I thought he would and the total cost came to be lower than the initial quote. Travis also cleaned up the area where he worked after he was finished and documented the work done. As a side note, I also like the fact that the franchise is family owned which to me means that the owners take their reputation and business very serious. I am very happy with the results and service provided to me. I will definitely be using Mr. Handyman again for future projects!

I called Mr. Handyman, this past winter, to fix my gutters. They were pulled apart from my house, due to all the snow and ice buildup that weighed them down. It was on a Friday, and there was a big rain storm expected Sunday/Monday. Every place I called was going to have me wait till Monday, or some other day in the following week. With Mr. Handyman, I was able to schedule an appointment the next day, which was a Saturday. They gave me an estimate, and did all the work, while I myself was at work. They finished long before I got off work, and they did a great job. The price was very reasonable as well. Much cheaper than I was expecting.Ill be keeping their number close by, should I need anymore work done.Thank You
