I was more than pleased with Atherton Plumbing from the time I called them on a Sunday morning because my water heater cracked and was leaking water. I got an appointment the very next morning the young man Anthony, who installed my water heater, was very knowledgeable and explain things to me, and when he got ready to leave, he cleaned up after himself. I was very very pleased with my installer.

It was a messy job and when they were done, they cleaned it all up and ready for tile to be installed. 🙂

We just purchased a new home, and 2 days later, our water heater died. Our real estate agent recommended Atherton, so thats who we called. Atherton came out the next day, and installed a new one. The technician was very courteous and personable. He did the job quickly, and cleaned up afterwards. Our smaller mechanical closet required a skinny water heater which is apparently more expensive, despite being smaller. We paid $2800 for a new water heater, which is a LOT more than we were expecting! We had already been without hot water for days, so we had no viable option to get competitive quotes. However, I am giving this company the benefit of the doubt, that we were charged fair pricing. We are overall, pleased with the work that was done.

I called first thing in the morning, was able to get an appointment for late morning mid afternoon. The technician Ryan was very upfront with what he was going to do and pricing. He asked me for the details on what was going on and then he did only the necessary work. He was in and out in less than an hour. Very professional and friendly. We came home from a family get together late on Christmas eve to find a leak at our main water supply. After turning off the water I called many companies that had online adds stating that they provided 24x7 emergency services only to be told that they didnt have anyone available. Atherton was able to dispatch a plumber and my problem was resolved very quickly.

I am presently going through a law suit of being sued by previous contractor that caused serious plumbing issues, and would not honor their home warranty and just left me abandoned! Happened I received in the mail an advertisement addressed to my deceased husband. It had been over 30 years since we used Atherton Plumbing. I called them and they came out and assessed the problem that was over $10,000 to repair! The contractor forgot I hadnt submitted their final payment to them so I paid Atherton with part of that. Upon their completion to my shocking amazement, Atherton stated that they reduced the original quote of $10,400 to $4500! Who does that! Not only did Atherton do a great job in repairing and restoring my plumbing issues but showed complete HONESTY in not taking full advantage of me and the money. I would have never known the cost change had they not brought this to my attention.If your searching for an Excellent, Honest, Reliable Plumbing Co., Atherton Plumbing is and will always be my first and only choice. I have always been a staunch supporter of companies that have proven to me over time to be truly committed to quality service and customer satisfaction. Atherton Plumbing is one such company. I’ve lived in my current home for 38 years this coming January and Atherton has been my go to source for all my plumbing needs. Last week I encountered a problem with my water heater that would require a replacement. Atherton Plumbing responded to “my emergency” as if it was “their emergency”. I had a service representative here within an hour of my call who put together a plan to have it replaced within 24 hours. As is sometimes the case, they encountered some additional challenges that had to be addressed in order to complete the job, but without hesitation or delay, they summoned the necessary personnel and supplies in order to complete the install. From the front office staff, Becky and Veronica, to field service technicians Robbie, Luke, Ryan, Lloyd and Chris, you couldn’t ask for a better supporting team of professional plumbers. Even after a few days after the install was complete, I had a technical question regarding the water heater’s temperature adjustments and I received immediate attention and a call back within an hour of my inquiry. When I think of plumbing needs, I will always think of Atherton Plumbing first. Because when it comes to getting the job done and done right, I can’t help but value my past experiences and the emphasis they put into customer service and satisfaction throughout the entire process!

I am still disappointed and I feel we were taken advantage of a little bit because in was the holiday... initially we were quoted 2050.00 dollars then it jumped to 2666.68... I would like a detailed itemized list for each quote so I can understand the differences... that is a big jump in price... I should have resisted and said no in hindsight sight... it is fixed but we are certainly not happy and satisfied... the installers were supposed to have the owner call me but that never happened…Update as of 7/10/24… Mike the owner called me on Monday and I was able to talk with him today. We had a very good conversation regarding my job and it turned out to be a simple communication issue. Mike has made a very acceptable solution to us and we are very happy with the outcome!!!The quality of the work was never an issue because they did a high quality job. The installers had great attitudes as well.We would highly recommend them and we will use them again!!

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. We need to do a pretty big repair and we first asked the expertise from a different company. They have more reviews and, for some unknown reason, they are rated higher than Atherton Plumbing. After that bad experience, we called Atherton Plumbing and right from the beginning, there was such a big difference. Part of the job is done, we are very very happy with the work done so far. The Atherton tech came to my house for a drain problem and found that there were roots clogging the line. He attempted to clear them, but needed to call an additional tech for help. They worked and worked until the drain line was clear. They suggested that I call the city of Kettering and advise them to clear their main line as well. I asked what I could do for future maintenance and they said that I could be placed on a maintenance plan where they will call each year around this time to see if I want the drain cleaned. I was appreciative of their hard work and had them sign me up on the maintenance plan to hopefully avoid future problems. I would never use any other plumbing company than Atherton. Nick has been out to do work for me multiple times. In the past he has come out to replace our water heater, repaired our sump pump line and replaced an outside faucet. He does great work and has a very professional and pleasant demeanor. In one of his past visits, I mentioned that my main sewer line clogs with some roots about once every year or so and he suggested that I go on the Atherton mailing list to schedule it annually. This saves me the $90 upfront fee and I just pay for the work ($300). Nick and his trainee Gabe came to do the PM the other day and as always the work was done quickly and smoothly and it was very nice that there was no upselling, no suggesting I should let them dig up my yard or whatever else the other company I have used in the past was pushing. Very satisfied with Nick and anyone else I have dealt with at Atherton.

They tried to snake the drain but it didn’t work. So they got a bigger snake and that didn’t work either. So now they have to demo my basement. Being on a fixed income that really hurts. They basically did as little as possible and charged me twice as much.Then I called Atherton. The receptionist Erin, was able to send me someone out immediately. She was polite, Professional and intersted in my concerns.Their pro, Ryan, came to the rescue and fixed what the other guys didn’t!! They problem was a bur on the interior of the main line cat hinges and backing up. He cleared the line took images, and then worked on smoothing the drain until there was no more hang-ups.Not only did they make sure it was done right, they guaranteed the job. Lesson Learned.Later I needed my water heater flushed for lime scale build up. They booked me quickly and the job was done in no time. Great service overall!!
