For years my wife and I have wanted to remodel our 1969 bathroom. This spring, Joe was completing a job next door. We asked if he would be willing to give us an estimate sometime. He did so that very afternoon and, with the neighbors permission, even showed us that bath remodel.Our four phase project--installing a replacement well pressure tank; installing a new water softener; replacing the aging copper line supply system with PEX and remodeling the bathroom--is complete. 1969 is history. We are delighted with the beautifully transformed result!But more importantly, we are especially thankful for Joe.He is a skilled, detail-oriented craftsman. Joe was absolutely AMAZING! I was referred to him by a friend that had nothing but great things to say about him and his work. Joe was able to work on my timeline, he was professional, prompt and very thorough. I’m beyond happy with the work dependable plumbing did for my house. I found out my water heater was leaking on a Monday morning. By that afternoon I called, received a quote, and had a replacement scheduled. The very next day, I have a new water heater. Excellent price and service! If you need a dependable plumber, Joes the man! Joe installed my water heater in 2014 when I bought my home, it finally crapped out and I needed to get it repaired because my tenant had just moved in and did not have hot water for a couple days. My property manager had another plumber come out, charged me $1300 saying they were 95% confident they thought it would fix the problem. $1300 later, they told me it didnt work and I needed to replace it, and they would charge me a total or $5500 and would lower it to $5,000. I was not happy and reached out to Joe. Joe came the next day installing a new system at a lower cost and problem solved, tenants are enjoying unlimited hot water with the tankless heater. Joe is my go to plumber, he should be yours too.

Joe did a great job installing a new water heater for me, replacing the original 27 year old unit. He also took care of a tub drain plug and shower faucet that needed replacing and repair. We also talked about other projects that need to be addressed in the future (well bladder tank and water softener). Joe has a good understanding of different elements found in water (manganese, etc) and how they can impact your equipment. Joe is always on time, very personable, and knows what he is doing for a fair price. Thanks Joe!

I felt very confident from the conversation I had with Joe that the job would be done correctly, efficiently and in my budget. The installation went smoothly, they even hauled away the old water heater and cleaned up the job site when they were done. Joe showed up on time and did a great job with the install for a new water heater, even fixing some other issues not directly related that needed to be addressed. Joe also went out his way with the replacement adjusting his scheduled during the holiday season to make sure our failing unit was taken care of before it dumped 50 gallons of water in our basement. Joes workmanship is excellent and when he left everything was very clean. Called Joe for an estimate on a water softener and reverse osmosis installation. Joe stopped by to get a look at my well, to make sure it could handle the installation. It could not. He recommended a new well before installing the softener and risking a well failure. He was very helpful, knowledgeable and pleasant. Would not invoice me for his time. I will definitely use Joe when I need plumbing service in the future.

I contracted with Dependable Plumbing to replace an older PowerVent water heater. After sending him a photograph of the heater, Joe responded very quickly with a competitive quote. On the scheduled day, he arrived on time and was clean and efficient in his work. Unfortunately, late Saturday evening, only two days after installation, the water heater stopped working. I texted Joe and he immediately advised that he would come over the next day, even though it was Labor Day weekend. This is excellent customer service. On Sunday morning, we ran some diagnostics and found it to be a faulty sensor. Apparently, there had been a bad batch of sensors so the supplier just handed over a new one. Joe returned on Tuesday morning with the replacement sensor. It took less than five minutes to install it.Having been a licence contractor for the past 10 years, I have dealt with many sub-contractors. In my personal experience, Dependable Plumbing is exactly that; dependable. A bonus is that Joe is on time, efficient, knowledgeable and leaves the job site very clean and tidy. Highly recommended!

We hired two different plumbers through Angi’s listen install plumbing for a new kitchen sink. One left for parts and never came back and the other left with the pipes leaking. I called Joe with Dependable Plumbing and he came within a couple days, immediately knew what was wrong, fixed it, and also fixed our dishwasher that wouldn’t drain. He was a lot cheaper than the other two as well. If we ever have a problem again, I will call Joe for sure. If you are thinking about hiring him for a job, you won’t regret it. We would have had a lot less stress if we would have just went with Dependable Plumbing from the start.

We have been using Joes services for 5+ years now and he is great every time! Most recently, he came out and replaced our water heater in under 24 hours when we found it leaking. Joe is extremely fast, reasonable, and reliable.Over the years, Joe has also replaced waste pipes, added a water line for an icemaker to a new fridge, fixed leaky valves, and more. We discovered that our gas water heater was leaking on Friday before Memorial Day. Our first attempt was to have Home Depot to do the job. By Saturday at noon, we have not heard from Home Depot. My wife looked into Home Advisors and found Dependable Plumbing (Joe Kerns). Joe made an appointment for Tuesday at 11 am.. Joe came right on time, and completed the job as promised. If you are looking for hot water heater replacement, Dependable Plumbing is very reliable and does a very excellent job.

I chose Joe at Dependable Plumbing from info on the Internet. I dont like to do this. I prefer getting a recommendation from someone I know and trust but in this case I went with the info got particularly since Joes reviews were so good. My experience i was very much similar to what others have encountered when dealing with Dependable Plumbing. He had a touch challenge with the work he did at our house but he had the skill to get my problem solved. He was also very friendly and he explained his game plan to me. I was thinking he might not be able to do what had to be done without breaking some of the parts but he solved it without making it necessary to get new parts. I do not generally write reviews but I very much wanted to share my very good experience with Joe to others who may be looking for a good plumber.

We had Dependable Plumbing out to fix our kitchen sink that was leaking in multiple places. They were able to work us in next business day for a non-emergent appointment (it has been leaking intermittently for quite some time). The work was completed quickly and efficiently. After the workmen left I tested the sink pretty throughly (as I said the issue was intermittent) and found it was still leaking slightly. We called Dependable plumbing and let them know; Joe said he was a significant distance from us and asked if he could come the next day to correct the issue. This was fine with us as it was completely non-urgent. Joe arrived promptly at the agreed upon time the next day and was able to fix the problem completely. This was nearly a week ago and we have not had anymore problems. Very pleased with the work and service we received from Dependable plumbing, price was very reasonable as well.

I had a sewer line that went through the foundation that cracked and had to be replaced. Not only did he repair, but he determined why the crack happened and made the appropriate adjustments so it would not happen again in the future. The communications were timely, work scheduled quickly and quality of work was A+ (he also had the best price out of 3 plumbers contacted). Will definitely have Joe as our go to for future needs.

I had several fairly minor problems: slightly slow draining bathroom sink and tub, dripping bathroom faucet, low pressure in kitchen faucet and toilet that randomly sounded like the tank was refilling.I called Dependable Plumbing, left a message and Joe returned my phone call very promptly. He was able to schedule an appointment just a few days after our conversation. He arrived on time, was very personable and took his shoes off upon entering the house (such a courteous thing to do). He fixed the pressure in my kitchen faucet which was TERRIFIC! Yaaaay! He happened to have a part with him to be able to fix the issue with my toilet, he unclogged my bathroom sink, ckd to see if my tub was clogged (it wasnt) and tried to fix the drip in my bathroom faucet. He couldnt get the hot water connection off and said if the drip ended up not being in the cold water line (in which he installed a new washer) then I would need a whole new faucet. Unfortunately, right after he left I noticed the drip wasnt fixed, so I will have to look into getting a new faucet. I dont have a water softener and he strongly recommended looking into getting a water softener. He explained that it would extend the life of my plumbing fixtures and the prevent the milky appearance of glassware from dishwasher use. He was at my home about 1 1/2 hrs. I will gladly hire Joe again, appreciate his good work and will recommend him to others.
