Portage Plumbing Services did great today! I called Joel about a small plumbing problem I had and he was able to fit me in. I had a previous appointment and couldn’t be here, but he and Luke showed up right on time, let themselves in, called me with a suggestion about how to solve the problem, and successfully completed the work without any problem. They cleaned up very well after themselves as well! PPS made me feel like my job was as important as larger jobs, and that’s why I have used them multiple times through the years. Top notch service!

Peter came early to my appointment. He assessed the problem and where to access my broken water line to the outside spiket. He cut it out and showed me the split in line. He made a new line and got a new faucet installed. This was done in about an hour. Everything was cleaned up and cant tell that he was even here.I would recommend Portage Plumbing for your plumbing needs. I also recommend Peter. He was polite and friendly.

I had a leak rolling into my basement, and I was kind of concerned that it was from my shower. As one does, I ignored it for a little while, and then I got to the point where I felt like I really needed to get on it. I called Portage Plumbing Services and was told theyd send somebody out the next morning at 9 am to quote it. I was pleasantly surprised that he was able to find the leak and fix it at the same visit! I had visions of mold and wet wood and expensive replacement of my shower, but none of that came to pass. The plumber was friendly, professional, and he got the job done and left the place just as he found it. Ill be seeing them first when I do replace my shower unit!

I’ll be the first to point out service problems in my reviews but despite struggles with other service providers, including larger firms, I experienced nothing bad here. We are in a rural area and yet our voicemail was responded to promptly and without hesitation an initial visit and quote in the fall 2023 was followed up by actual work in spring of 2024. Peter was prompt on both occasions demonstrating that he was not only knowledgeable but honest in ultimately telling us that our pressure tank, which we thought needed replacing, was in good condition despite scheduling us the whole day for that portion of the job. He gave us good tips and alternatives listening to our concerns. In the end we had a new spigot put in, a new pressure gauge and an automatic shut off valve for water pipe breaks. The device recommended was internet- enabled and really amazing! From what I understand this is a long-time family-run business that repeatedly came out to our home despite not being an easy location. Such a rare find in service providers needs to be reviewed.Thank you Peter and all of you at Portage plumbing. Never give up on the basics of good service and I believe business will continue to follow.
