Michael was our service coordinator for a very difficult and challenging 1 bdrm condo HVAC replacement. His evaluation in terms of a new unit was spot on so we did not over, nor under invest in a system. His delivery promise was the next day (which I found extraordinary.) They had the right equipment and service techs ready to go despite this oppressive hot weather.Omar and his assistant did a great job working within a very tight installation space successfully. They got the HVAC unit into the condo ceiling and the outdoor cooling unit up on the roof within a few hours.The job was complicated by a shorted out/disrupted wire connection between the 13th floor unit and the 17th floor roof unit. Michael arrived on the scene to help Omar diagnose the problem, work with building management on reviewing building charts, and finding the right way to pull a new wire from 17th roof to 13th floor unit.GREAT JOB! I’ve heard it said that it’s not “IF” you have a foundation/slab issue in Texas, but rather “WHEN” you have a problem. We have foundation settling which required 20 piers and leveling 2 years ago. This past weekend we discovered we had water leak somewhere between our garage and a bedroom which might have been because of the foundation issues or something else…needless to say we were like “Oh $#!%” now what??😬We shut off our main water and started drying things out and on Monday was able to have Adam from Master Tech come out and assess the problem. He was able to determine quickly what likely issue was but couldn’t start until today. The original estimate was over $5,000 worst case scenario, and when they got here and started working he was able to save us about $1,500, plus offered us 0% for 25 months, whew!! And he was able complete his work and we now have Water restored and only have to get the refinishing done. Adam was amazing and I highly recommend Master Tech to anyone facing a tough plumbing situation. Fast and fair and will try to save you money 🙏!!

*Update* I’ve now used MasterTech for both plumbing repair and HVAC.HVAC: Troy is an expert of his craft, and thoroughly explained our issues throughout his troubleshooting process. We had a 42 year old system that he was able to skillfully diagnose, while also explaining multiple safety issues that the previous home owners might have caused by neglecting to maintain the system. We decided to go with a new inside and outside system, and Omar and his technicians did a phenomenal job. They set clear expectations for the day and followed through to a T. Omar spent additional time after everything was installed and cleaned to ensure I knew a few things about the machine, filters, and even helped me setup the new system thermostat with its app. We’re members of their maintenance program now and if trust them for any HVAC repairs you won’t be sorry.Plumbing: Adam is amazing. Super honest and transparent the entire time. Adam was able to help with testing our home and verifying we didn’t have any leaks, and even went above and beyond for documentation to help us provide the city of Lewisville what they needed to take a bigger look at a city leak. We are now needing some other unrelated minor plumbing work done 6 months later and I immediately called Master Tech because I know it’ll be done right for a fair price.

First, They installed a complete new HVAC system including all new duct work and insulation. It works amazingly well and has truly cut down on my electric & gas bills.I signed the annual contract and just had my 1st service. The tech spent quite a bit of time ensuring everything was in order.Their customer service & sales team are outstanding (responsiveness especially!)! Everything is explained perfectly, so that someone like me (not educated on HVAC systems) can understand it. Best choice I have ever made going with this company. When my A/C went out Omar was my technician and came out the same day and diagnosed a leak in coil (R22) and bad capacitor. He educated me on my options and even though I thought the expense was higher than it should be (COVID price hike never settled) I still listened to his suggestions as I have an understanding of the cycle of operations of HVAC. He suggested a new system as my system was 16 years old and when one starts to go the rest could be right behind it. Before doing any type of work, I told him to do the cheap band-aid fix so I can get A/C for the moment as it was a large expense to dish out without thinking about it and getting second opinions. He proceeded to change the capacitor and the fried contactor for the wires. Before he was able to re-fill the freon we both noticed the fan on the condenser would not turn on. At that time we realized the original issue fried the fan as well. After realizing my options were now becoming limited he went over my possible invoice choices based on different brands of units. He told me they do finance and depending on my credit I could get 0% interest for 72 months. I went with the Ameristar 5 ton 14.3 SEER and immediately got the financial documents that night as Omar stated with me while I could not make immediate decision. He was patient and super friendly which I would never think someone dealing with people who are always upset since they are angry at their own situation. He could not been more supportive as he could see I was between a rock and a hard place shelling out that kind of money. Offered for me to get a second opinion as I brought it up earlier and reassured me he will be there if I need him. After realizing he wasnt just trying to make dollar for the company but genuinely concerned I decided to take a chance especially since I didnt want to be out of A/C for another day as I need it for sleeping. I decided to pull the trigger and pay what I thought was a little high in price for piece of mind and convenience 8-9 PM. I reviewed the documents before signing and noticed that it had my payments at 17% interest and we are both like that is wrong as I got approved for 0%. After Omar calling the financial person to get clarification it was just letting us know that is what it would be if I missed a payment or didnt pay the full amount. The next morning Jay and Christian came to install my new unit. 8-ish hours of work for those poor guys to install and test multiple things to ensure the quality was exceptional. They both walked me through everything they did and encouraged me to inspect everything to make sure I was satisfied. Everytime the came in my home they wore those booties to keep my floors clean. Omar came back a few times during install and helped me set up my wifi for my new thermostat and would not leave until it was completed as we were having trouble with my android phone connecting to the thermostat but my wifes iPhone connected instantly and then automatically allowed my phone to connect since it was linked under the same account for the app. A little bit of insulation came out of the vent and dropped on my couch. Hard to see as it was the same color, he immediately got his vacuum and proceeded to check every other vent. 5 STAR service for these 3 gentlemen (Omar, Christian, and Jay).

We had (4) companies quote our total HVAC replacement including duct work. The quotes were about even but what made the difference was Troy at Mastertech. We recently purchased a house and the 80s HVAC/duct work needed some serious re-thinking. During the initial consult, the other companies missed stuff that Troy identified -> supplies to close to the return, relocate supplies near windows, changing the positioning of the attic unit to gain airflow efficiencies, etc.etc. Being in IT field for the past 30 years, the best engineers I worked with were people who were truly passionate about the work. I could tell during our initial conversation that he might of briefly left this universe and was in his happy place of static pressures, CFM and HVAC design principles. Thank you, great job!

Had an issue with my AC dripping from the return vent which ended up needing a full replacement. Troy was extremely helpful and helped walked me through the process of getting a a new AC installed right before the summer heat came in. He came back multiple times to help balance the system and ensure it was running smoothly sometimes very late in the day. I was very happy with this level of service and plan to continue using this company.Update Feb 2023: Ive now used them twice for installs of new AC/Heat pumps at my rental units and cant recommend them enough. Had issues with AC overnight and actually got Troy Bentley’s from some of his free advice Nextdoor posts, so I immediately messaged him on Nextdoor. He had me call Master Tech’s office to schedule him to come out the same day. I was at work and it got really warm in the house during the day (my wife was texting me every couple hours letting me know how hot it was) and came home to an 87degree house. Troy arrived right at the starting point of his arrival window and immediately went to work. My dogs “attacked” him immediately, and by “attacked” I mean were licking and begging for pets/attention. So he’s good with dogs. Toddler son came out next and he chatted with him for a minute or two, so he’s good with kids too. For the actual work/service related part, he asked me questions and looked around, and had a couple probable causes before he tested anything. Some testing confirmed one of his theories was correct (bad capacitor). He had one with him so swapped it out and the AC started up and cooling off (slowly obviously). Along the way he explained what things were and what he was doing in layman’s terms, so not making me feel like a moron, he was legitimately engaged and wanted to educate me as he went through things, which was very interesting I will say. He stuck around a bit to ensure everything kept moving in the right direction and there weren’t any other issues. He even cleaned off the coils/heatsink fins of my unit outside.Now is usually the worst part with most companies when they try to sell you complete new units and such. Troy gave me options and made suggestions on what he would do, explained what he did and what he expected would be needed next, etc. but he was never an aggressive “ram it down your throat” salesman. He was refreshingly honest about the options, pricing, etc. Yet most importantly, he got our AC back up and running the same day quickly, efficiently, and cost effectively.Troy is forever my HVAC guy! Working from home right now this was helpful and he was here within 2 minutes of the time on the text. Edward showed up at my door and greeted me professionally and began his service. He was dressed nicely, was clean, and he was very polite. Given the current world climate he was wearing a mask and booties and practiced social distancing. I was able to continue on with my work while he completed the service call and he was very patient and waited until I was able to finish before reviewing his findings with me.Edward presented me with a quote for simply what needed to be done but also included a quote for new units in case we happened to be at a place where we were able to or wanted to replace them. He made sure to tell me that new units were not needed but that he likes to provide the information. I appreciated his honesty and also appreciate knowing what it might cost if I were to make that decision. He showed me photos of the few things he discovered that do need to be fixed and explained to me why. He also didnt seem the least bit bothered when I explained that he most likely would need to explain it again to my husband.In 30 years Ive interacted with many AC repairmen but Edward was by far the best Ive encountered. Master Tech is awesome! My home warranty company called them because I was having issues with my HVAC system. Because I smelled gas, it was an urgency issue and they were able to accommodate my schedule. We discovered my system had a broken coil or something inside and was releasing carbon monoxide. After discussing it with the tech, he suggested I just get a new unit as our outside unit was 50 years old and not energy efficient. So we decided to. What I love is we got a discount from our warranty company because of upgrading our old unit, plus they gave me a military discount for being a veteran and the entire unit plus the extra vents I wanted installed, were done the next day. I was sad they couldnt put a vent in the master bath because of the pitch of the roof and where it needs to go, and the tech didnt check before telling me it could be done. Its the worst room in the winter. Anyways, Ive had several issues since, like the unit shutting off because it has a safety overflow shut off I didnt know about, and they came and fixed it and also reinstalled my Nest last time, free of charge because the unit went off again and I didnt know why. I absolutely love their service and product. I highly recommend them.

We originally were paired with Master tech because of a home warranty claim. We had a different company come out first because we thought we just needed Freon. They ended up telling us we needed a new unit so we called our home warranty company to get them to check it out. After master tech came out, they also said we needed a new unit. Both companies gave us options as to which units we could purchase and the financing options. After both companies, we decided to go with master tech. Edward with master tech was able to walk me through the options and answered all my questions. This company was able to work around mine and my husbands crazy schedule to get the service scheduled in a timely manner. The installers were professional about installing our new unit. They also got a permit with the city and the city came out to inspect the unit after it was installed. We had a minor issue with the breaker, but this was quickly resolved with no issues. They also made sure we knew how to clean the air filter and work the thermostat. I highly recommmend Master Tech service Corp.

My wife and I met Ryan last summer which was great timing. We bought our house here in Midland TX in 2013 and every summer we discovered our AC unit was not big enough to cool our house. Every summer our house would never get below 78 degrees in the summer and our average monthly electric bill was between $400-$500. Every summer something would go out and home warranty would replace the part but was such a hassle. We can’t thank Ryan enough for taking the time and running the numbers with us showing that with a new unit it would not only lower our electric bill but it would pay for itself and he was 100% right. Only once would someone come out to look at it and he’s told me the same thing. So I finally called Atmos, and they came out and told me it was the heat unit. So when I finally called them everything was AWESOME, making the appointment was easy and fast. They worked with me and my schedule I didn’t have to work around them that’s always a plus.
