Subsequently, I decided to give Pete the Plumbing Pro a chance despite their lack of reviews. I was pleasantly surprised when they picked up my call instantly on a weekend and had Nathaniel at my place within an hour. Nathaniel was both polite and upbeat when he arrived. My situation was rather challenging as my sewer drain was blocked about 50 feet down the line near the street. This necessitated digging up the line in my yard to rectify the issue. Even though the task took roughly three hours to complete, the bill was reasonable. My positive experience with Nathaniel and the company overall has led me to associate Pete the Plumbing Pro with any plumbing needs I might have in Dallas.

Each of us consistently has the same positive experience with them - they are professional, skilled, fairly priced, and transparent. We recently required their services to address an issue with deteriorating rubber hoses on a 6-year-old hot water heater (which was initially installed by a heavily advertised competitor before we discovered Pete the Plumbing Pro). Barry, the plumber from Pete the Plumbing Pro, took the time to explain the issue - the rubber hoses, which are easier to install, deteriorate due to the heat and start to leave black residue in your hot water. Barry then efficiently set to work to rectify the problem as it should have been done the first time, with copper. It would have been simpler for him to just replace the hoses with the same type, knowing that in six years, wed be facing the same issue again, unaware that a more effective solution existed. However, he chose to do the job right, charging a very fair price for the time spent. This did not surprise us in the least, as this is the standard we have come to expect from Pete the Plumbing Pro. Were just regretful that weve spent all our lives in Dallas and were unaware of this local diamond in the rough!

It began to leak, and I discovered in the warranty that sun exposure could void it. Guess what? The softener was set up right under the sun! I made a call, only to discover the plumbing business had switched hands. But instead of getting into a debate, they honored what the previous owner should have done. They replaced the softener for free, and even went the extra mile to build a shelter to shield it from the sun, all at no additional cost. The level of customer service was truly astounding. This decision was largely due to Barrys reasonable quote, his professionalism, and the assurance he gave us as first-time homeowners, that everything would be perfectly fine during and after the job. Barry efficiently dug a 25-foot long tunnel under our house and swiftly removed the old cast-iron pipes, replacing them with modern PVC ones. He also added an extra access point near the house. Since the work was completed, weve had no issues at all! Our home has two bedrooms and one bathroom, and even with up to five people staying at times, weve experienced no problems. I cant recommend their services enough! Remember to ask for Barry. I wish I had taken pictures to show the updated pipe under the house.

This seemed rather strange and unprofessional, why wouldnt they just replace the phone or get the phone service to check it out? Its an odd way to run a business, but never mind. Update - Barry promptly contacted us to resolve our issues and kindly proposed a significant refund. He also admitted that their teams communication could be better. Once again, were happy with the plumbing work done and were open to hiring them for future jobs. First Review: The plumbing tasks carried out by Nathaniel were fantastic. However, communication with Barry was far from good as he failed to return calls when promised and left our messages unreturned for a fortnight. We were also overcharged. They came, assessed the work, took photos, and provided an estimate after evaluating the job. This estimate had a lengthy list of materials like pipe, fittings, a tee, a pressure switch, a valve, and a pressure gauge. The only parts they ended up installing were some pipe, 90-degree fittings, and one valve. As Nathaniel exited, he mentioned that the bill should be much lower than the estimate as we didnt do most of what was quoted. When I spoke with Barry, he mentioned he needed to consult with Nathaniel. Finally, after two weeks, he contacted me and issued a revised bill that was $170 more than the initial estimate!!! This, despite them installing fewer parts and deriving their estimate after examining the job in my home! Its safe to say we wont be avoiding them in the future.

The plumbers, Barry and Nathaniel, were courteous and professional, and the quality of their work was commendable. The scheduling process, however, was a bit prolonged. It took a couple of weeks for Barry to come out and diagnose the issue. After the initial check, the system experienced another issue and it took another week for Nathaniel to identify that there was a fault in the thermostat wire leading to the condensing unit. Their quote for running a new 50ft cable in the attic was $700, which felt a bit steep. I appreciate that labor costs are part of this, but it seemed excessive for what I knew to be a $100 material cost and a job that would only take around two hours. But in the end, they were willing to negotiate the price and got the job done within a reasonable time frame in Dallas. Their workmanship was excellent and I was ultimately satisfied with the service.

Pete the Plumbing Pro did a great job replacing my two outdoor hose spigots, which are made of brass and plastic. One of the spigots had previously been capped off under the house, but Nathaniel expertly reconnected it. Not only that, but Barry managed to fix a minor drip in my Delta kitchen faucet by replacing the internal parts. The total charge for the work was $372.00, which covered the parts and $225 for labor. Just a little tip for future customers: if you prefer to recycle your own metals, let them know up front. They initially assumed I wanted them to handle the discarded metals. Also, if theyre replacing parts, you might want to check out the parts before they install them. In my case, they didnt show me the parts before installing them. Overall, their service was excellent and I would highly recommend them!

My daughter mentioned that he was extremely professional and knowledgeable, and he efficiently completed the task at hand. I also had some toilet screws that needed replacing, and fortunately, Nathaniel had the necessary parts on hand to fix that issue as well. It had been previously cleared with high water pressure, but unfortunately, it backed up again and required boring and relining. Thats when Pete the Plumbing Pro stepped in with Nathaniel, their expert plumber, who swiftly diagnosed the issue and suggested a solution that we decided to proceed with. The very next day, they took care of relining our sewer pipe. Pete the Plumbing Pro proved to be extremely responsive and transparent about the entire process and the related costs. Nathaniel was extremely friendly and professional, taking the time to explain each step of the process. They also did an excellent job with the cleanup afterward. Id highly recommend them for any plumbing needs.

**update** pete the plumbing pro did return and ensured my lines were placed underground as per code. they did make amends, which has prompted me to increase their rating to 4 stars. i might have given 5, but it did take 3-4 weeks to complete the task, and my yard did need a bit of cleaning afterwards. it was also somewhat challenging to understand the explanations and get issues rectified. ill observe how the new setup performs over the next few months, and may consider revising the star rating based on that. their initial work was commendable, and i was quite satisfied. however, on this occasion, i was billed $5000 for bathroom repiping. initially, the estimate was 5k for the entire house, but they couldnt access the kitchen sink, hence ended up charging me 5k for only the bathroom. moreover, my piping was placed outside where it could freeze. they werent going to try and solve the problem either, but just left my kitchen pipes disconnected. i felt as if they just took my money, did the bare minimum and left. i just hoped they would have been more helpful.

My water heater broke down, so I rang a few plumbing services to see who was available. Unfortunately, everyone was booked for at least a few days, some even a week. However, when I got in touch with this one plumbing service, they promised to send someone by the evening. I explained to Nathaniel on the phone that my water heater had ceased functioning and told him it was five years old. He mentioned his hourly fee and then asked if I had tried to reset the heater. He walked me through the resetting procedure and asked me to ring him back if it didnt work. Luckily, the reset did the trick and Nathaniel saved me from a potentially expensive service call. Not to mention the extra expense if a dishonest plumber had convinced me to replace the unit or to dismantle it for a lengthy and costly fix. Big thanks to Nathaniel and his plumbing service for their assistance and for ensuring I could enjoy a hot shower again.
