I hired Cold is on the Right after the enthusiastic review of a neighbor. On both occasions they had to unscrew messes left by other, less able contractors, one a bad general contractor.Suffice I had emotional scars.Each time they were able to solve complex problems in my best interests efficiently. One time they had to come back after I sourced a part, for which there was ONE CHARGE. They aren’t the least expensive alternative, though reasonable, and they don’t scheme once here about how much they could charge.This is invaluable to a well off single woman who is not dumb and sees it coming every time.The General contractor had proposed changing a shower valve different from other plumbing because scarce (he approved the part). He said he’d have to tear out the tile again and rebuild for which there was a charge… so out he went. Again because he first installed the shower head at 6’ so already took out the tile once!In comes Cold to the rescue. No, they said: if we go through the closet behind the valve, all you have to do is put the drywall back up, an easy fix.Five stars is too few. Each time they send two guys out, one holding the highest certification.I couldn’t be more impressed.

I called Cold is on the Right to help with a few plumbing issues, including a clogged sink and some leaky faucets. It was easy to get an appointment that fit my schedule, and Jack and Drew arrived on the early side of the 2-hour window. They were friendly and knowledgeable (and always wore shoe coverings in the house!), letting me know what was causing the problems and giving me a cost estimate. I approved it, and they got right to work. I’m very pleased with the repairs and will call Cold is on the Right again if needed.

Joey and Dion were awesome! My water heater was about to go and I had another plumber lined up. His back went out the day he was supposed to work on it. The water heater is in the attic and started leaking down the walls. I called Cold is on the Right and they came out the same day to assess and make sure it didnt leak anymore. They fixed it so I at least had water. They replaced the water heater two days later. They also fixed a few other issues at my house. Cold is on the Right is my new plumber!

Ive had issues with my AC nearly every year, and used a different plumbing and air service each time to address repeated problems with my condensate drain line backing up. Matt from Cold is on the Right was the first technician to catch that I had a restriction in the refrigerant line through my wall and attic. The job became much more complicated, but their team was able to identify and replace every part of the old lines that were completely bent up inside the wall.Apologies for the long and complex job, but Im very glad you were thorough with the diagnostics and took the time to identify the root cause of my issues. They also found that my AC unit was not properly wired to my thermostat to support 1st and 2nd stage cooling, which they were also able to fix during the other repairs. I found their prices for the service to be very reasonable.I will be using them again for any future plumbing and air issues.

Jake and Matt were top notch. Solved problems with my main sewer line and cleanout in 2 hours that others spent days trying to figure out. These guys were transparent, talked me through everything they were seeing / how they were fixing it and offered to show me the sewer camera feed all along the way, too.From a separate visit I also learned that Cold is on the Right is stacked with more experience on the plumbing side (either Master Plumbers or very close to it) than most businesses in the Bee Cave/Lakeway area.I am always careful with service businesses now but have found Cold is on the Right to be effective and honest about the work they are doing.Recommend.

Simply fantastic. I met with them due to an issue with my new custom home having some issues. Seems that the original plumber did not do the job correctly. Brendin went out of his way with several follow up phone calls to help with assessing the issues. Seems that the house was plumbed with two tanks with parallel sets of lines when the tanks should have been in series AND a check valve was forgotten for the hot water recirc pump! They suggested and replaced two less efficient hot water heaters for one with an on demand heater to supplement when needed. So far my electric bill has been cut in half! The crew showed up at the appointed date/time with all needed equipment, were very polite/respectful, and fixed all the issues for a great price! It would not be possible for me to be happier with their service.

I am writing this review to express my heartfelt thanks to Preston and George from Cold is on the Right Plumbing!!!:):):) I needed help trying to replace an ancient fixture on my shower faucet. I made an appointment, and prior to their Saturday arrival, my hot water stopped working. When they arrived I asked them if they could take a look to see what might be wrong. They checked everything, and discovered something horrifying!!! My old hot water heater was having electrical issues, and was smoking really badly in the adjacent wall!!! They started figuring out all of the logistics to replace the hot water heater. When I gave my approval for the replacement, they stayed for 5-6 hours to install the new water heater and get it all working properly. I believe Preston and George saved my life that day, and I would like to thank them with all of my heart!!!:):):) To top it off, Preston was able to find my ancient faucet part. Preston and George came back the following week to install it, and now my faucet is working perfectly!!!:):):)

Cold is on the Right is by far the best plumbing service in town. After the freeze of 2021 I had continues plumbing problems. Prior to Cold is on the Right I was dealing with a plumbing company who replaced my hot water heater but couldn’t get my water pressure or hot water to work. They were unsuccessful for months. Eventually I fired them and hired Cold is on the Right. They figured the problem out immediately and cleared my lines out. It was still not an overnight process. But they communicated effectively, showed up on time, and we were able to troubleshoot the problem until all lines were clear and my plumbing issues were completely resolved.

Cold is On the Right installed a new segment of waterline from the water meter to the house after the old waterline cracked. Billy also tested the PRV and determined it was beginning to fail and included that in the job. He and Jack showed up on time, went right to work, and installed the new PRV and waterline very efficiently. They then tested and adjusted the water pressure, and walked through the house making sure that all the faucets and water heater were working properly. The kitchen faucet required an adjustment and they made it. Overall, Billy knows his stuff and is pleasant to work with, and both he and Jack did a great job, were very professional, and took the time to make sure everything worked before going to their next job. Super plumbers!

Cold Is On The Right Plumbing came to our rescue after the snowpocalypse left us without a working water heater. We called many plumbing companies, but had to wait it out because plumbers were focused on assisting those without water. After a few weeks, a friend suggested this company and so glad to find out about them. I called and spoke with Kari. She was so reassuring and was able to work us in. The plumber was prompt and courteous. We ended up getting a new tankless and the entire process was so smooth from start to finish. The new hot water heater is working great. I highly recommend this company!

I had a very good experience with Cold is on the Right Plumbing and highly recommend them for anyone looking for a reputable, fair and competent plumbing company. My job included installation of water heaters and removal of an older on-demand water system that failed. This involved rerouting piping, setting up two heaters, making adjustments to follow code, capping off gas lines used for heating the old system, and removal of the old heating system. Brendan arrived promptly, was very professional and knowledgeable. He gave a fair bid, the work was done exactly as promised, and he even returned at no charge when I had a problem with sediment/minerals suddenly clogging my kitchen faucet upon completion of the work. Customer satisfaction is important and it was clearly demonstrated here.

We discovered a leaking hot water heater after work hours on Friday. I emailed COLD IS ON THE RIGHT the details of our situation and left a voice mail requesting Saturday service. The office called Saturday morning and asked me to confirm details. I was told a plumber would contact me shortly to ask some questions to make sure they would have what they needed on the truck. The plumbers, Bren & Mike, arrived as scheduled, introduced themselves, diagnosed the problem, explained two options with recommendations and went to work. While here they repaired two faucets and reprogrammed our water softener. Both Bren and Mike are very knowledgeable and professional. COLD IS ON THE RIGHT sets a high standard, is very customer service oriented and reasonably priced. I would gladly hire them again.

I highly recommend Cold Is On The Right Plumbing. I realized that I had a slab leak in my house that was draining into my garage. I called and spoke with Kari and she got her team to my house as soon as possible. When they arrived, the found the leak and gave me all of my options and explained the costs and details needed for each option. They were very transparent and honest with every step. The house is older so the parts needed werent readily available but Kari was able to find it and send the guys back out the next day. They will be my go-to plumbing company from now on!

We have used Cold is on the Right since 2015. They have done some huge jobs for us in our home. We have always been highly satisfied customers, and continue to be. Today they were at our home for a few hours, digging in the front yard to determine the source of a leak. They found and repaired the leak, keeping us apprised of their progress as they worked. There was only partial shade, the job was long, and the day only got hotter as they worked. They completely cleaned up the impressive mess that was made from all the digging. Most of the mess was muddy, due to the leak. They were cheerful and competent, and after filling in the hole they dug, they carefully tamped down the sod theyd had to remove to access the leak. There was no mess anywhere after theyd finished. And this is why we will never call anyone else for plumbing work! Kari and Brendin operate their business with integrity and excellence, and it shows. They train their plumbers to have the same high level of customer service and integrity. Cold is on the Right is an outstanding plumbing business, and I highly recommend them.

I used cold on the water for one of the properties I managed in Austin. That unit had hot water issues and many plumbers failed to fix it. Jason came out and he was able to fix it after checking the neighbor water heater and finding that the plumber was simply incorrect in our unit. They are not cheap but they are good. I would have given them 5 stars but last call I have sent them to the same unit for hot water issue again not reaching a particular pipe on 3rd floor. They tried few things but none worked. They charged me $170 for that which I am not happy with. In the end nothing was replaced and the issue wasn’t fixed.

Great emergency response following the TX freeze Feb-2021. I will call them first for future needs. A knowledgeable buddy in Lakeway recommended them some weeks back, unrelated. A live person answered my call, another called back later that night. They listened well and explained well and honestly. The only surprise was how fast they got to our house. We had some luck: we already knew which part of the house plumbing froze; when it thawed and broke we quickly closed the main valve at the street; the professional plumber quickly found and fixed one leak and after opening the main valve found no other leaks. We are delighted customers.

My water heater died last Sunday. On Tuesday, I was able to get the Cold is on the Right guys to come take care of the problem. Not only did they replace the water heater, but they helped with 2 other unrelated issues: replaced mixer valves in two showers and a toilet quarter turn shut off valve. Really glad they did the toilet valve, as he said it just popped off in his hand and could have shot off the wall at any time.Brendin, Mike, and Dakota got me up and running in just a few hours and confirmed I had hot water before they left.

So I call Cold Is On The Right at 4:30 in the afternoon, luckily they have two plumbers, Jimmie & Jake, that just completed another job so they sent them right over. They were at my house by 5 and wasted no time getting to work. Jimmie and Jake were polite, professional and clearly knew what they were doing. They had the pipe replaced and the system back up and running by 6. Amazing!! I will be using Cold Is On The Right again.

We needed a water heater replaced. We considered several companies and narrowed to Cold Is On The Right and two others. Brendin, the crew lead, came by our home to assess the situation. We discussed options and decided to go tankless. Their price was competitive with other companies and we selected Cold Is On The Right because they were more knowledgeable and easier to work with than the other companies. Brenden showed up with a crew and made sure they knew exactly what to do and he went over everything with me. Their crews show up in twos, one master plumber and one assistant, so that while the master plumber is doing the technical work the assistant is handling everything else; very efficient which means saving us money. They covered our wood floors and carpet. Our original water heaters were removed, the attic was modified to mount the tankless and our tankless was installed and running in no time. I talked with the crews about what they were doing and about some other things we were considering, water softener for one. They were friendly, easy to work with and made useful suggestions. Everything was completed to our satisfaction including our flooring was kept in perfect condition. In the end I felt like they were part of the family. We love our tankless water heater and think Cold Is On The Right is the best choice.

Needed to install a new under the sink water filtration system. Had 3 companies check it and give me a quote. All 3 gave me pretty much same estimate but Jeff and Austin, from Cold is on the Right, were the only ones really checking what it will be needed to make the installation and more important they were the only ones NOT trying to push a full house water filtration system. The other reps from the other 2 companies were really persistent on this to the point that a simple quote process became an annoying one. CIOTR did an amazing job from beginning to end. Strongly recommended.

Ive used Cold is on the Right many times over the past few years and theyve always been professional, prompt, friendly, and reliable. Most recently, I had my pressure releasing valve (PVR) blow in my backyard, where my house water connects to the city. Cold came out quickly and assessed that, unfortunately, they couldnt replace the PRV because my home had galvanized steel pipes and they had rusted beyond help. The quote I received was high, and they completely understood when I said I was going to get a second opinion. The second opinion I received was nearly twice as much as Cold quoted, and the person I spoke to didnt instill as much confidence as Joey from Cold did. No one wants to hear they need to trench their backyard and replace pipes, but sometimes its inevitable, and you definitely want someone like Joey explaining it all to you and doing the work. They were able to complete the work in less than 2 days and stuck to the price quoted. Plumbing work is often stressful and expensive, but I know I can always trust Cold to do quality work at honest prices and take the time to make sure Im comfortable and understand everything involved. I highly recommend them!

I believe they are an honest company that stands behind their work (not a company that preys on people when disaster strikes). The plumbing service industry in Austin is full of snake oil salesmen and inexperienced technicians that can cost the average homeowner $1000s more than is needed per job. Woke up and had two inches of water in my mechanical room. Not good. Called around no one could come out same day. Called a plumber who has done work on my house previously and did a wonderful job. Thomas answered and said he was working for cold is on the right and would get in touch with the office. He did and they sent him over a few hours later. Found a broken connection in the wall. Fixed it without a huge mess and we were good to go. Mechanical room was bone dry next morning and the price was very fair. Had never heard of Cold is on the Right before, but I did know Thomas. When it comes to plumbing he is the master and he is a heck of a nice guy. Says a lot when a company hires good people as they are really the face of the business. Thanks guys!

I have used Cold Is On The Right and cannot say enough good things about them. They found and repaired a plumbing leak in my house that other plumbing companies could not repair and actually made worse. This particular problem eluded a couple of other plumbing companies for nearly 12 years. Even a leak detection company from San Antonio could not find the problem. I also had several problems with burst pipes after the Feb/Austin freeze. They came out multiple times and were very prompt. They are the one of the best companies (of any type) that I have ever dealt with. They are professional, courteous, reasonably priced, and always come when they say they will. I highly recommend this company!

We recently lost both of our water heaters to old age. We reached out to Cold is On the Right Plumbing, who we have been using for our plumbing needs. They were quick to come out and quote multiple options to replace our water heaters with the traditional tank type heaters to upgrading to a tankless. We took the leap and went tankless, but were very disappointed in the 2 minutes it was taking for hot water to show up at the faucet. Cold is On the Right quickly sent out Bren and Jake to resolve the issue. I want to give a big shout out to Bren for his relentless pursuit of the issue and Jake for backing him up every step of the way. Earlier this week, I unexpectantly had my hot water heater go out. With five guests from out of state in town, this was a major problem and something I needed fixed in a hurry. I called Cold is On the Right Plumbing and was greeted with a very friendly person who had me scheduled to see a technician that morning. An hour later, a technician named Brendin was here, gave me an estimate (he was extremely knowledgeable and talked me through everything), ordered the parts while he was here and even spoke to my insurance company for me! Within another hour, the parts were delivered, installed and we had hot water. Cold is On the Right Plumbing certainly saved my day!

Brandin, the main licensed plumber with Cold is on the Right came to our house with his excellent assistant and they evaluated our situation. Our main faucet at our kitchen sink had a bad leak. I thought it might just be gasket but Brandin explained in a friendly way that we probably needed a whole new faucet set. Then he and his assistant went to the local Home Depot and bought a quality set for us within our budget. Then they installed it and we have used it since all the time. Had a leak spring up from under commode. We couldn’t get the main for the house to shut the water off. We called CIOTR and they were here in 15 minutes, and fixed the issue in about 45 minutes. We had a clog and they had to reseal the commode. Super sweet plumbers and customer service.
