Alex and Celso have come out a number of times to help me with plumbing things. They installed a new hot water heater, replaced a cartridge in my shower, and today just replaced my garbage disposal.Mr. Rooter plumbing has always picked up the phone quickly and had someone at my house same day or next to fix the issue.Alex and Celso who have done most of the work are great guys, always do a good job explaining to me my options and how pricing is set up. They also do a great job walking me through anything I have questions about and make sure to clean up after themselves when theyre gone.Plumbing issues can be very stressful, but these guys make it a breeze!

We called Mr. Rooter about our new fridge’s water dispenser not working. They offered to have someone over same day but it wasn’t urgent. Zach came out on the very next business day and diagnosed the issue immediately. While checking on our water line in the crawl space under our house, he noticed a few other issues with old pipes leaking and rusting. Our house is 75 years old so no surprise. Zach was diligent, knowledgeable, and informative, explained everything thoroughly and gave us invaluable advice about maintaining our home. There was no sales pitch, just honest and competent guidance. I can’t say enough about how above and beyond the service was. Zach is our plumber for life.Edited to add - he fixed our water pressure at no cost.

I reached out to Mr Rooter Plumbing to get a second - or at least a refined - opinion on how to solve our hot water distribution challenges in the house. Not convinced that tankless, pumps, secondary heaters, etc., were viable, I paid the diagnosis fee to let the team perform a due diligence on the best path forward. And Zach and Dan did a very thorough job with explaining the options, describing the pros and cons of each, etc., all without pressuring us into a project that we werent quite ready for. But having this information and service from them will help guide me in our future choices for plumbing service for this or any other of our needs!

Mr. Rooter has been my go to in the 10 years I have been in Austin. Have had to replace both of my hot water tanks since I moved in , but the team over there has been amazing to work with. Recently Mark, a technician, changed out the expansion tanks as one had decided to burst. As he inspected the other tank he noticed the rust and recommended getting that changed out. Estimate of work was great and the final price was the same. Thanks Mr Rooter and Mark for being there quickly after the issue presented itself.

Alex C. went ABOVE AND BEYOND to not only spend the time figuring out the issue, but then going to get the parts to fix it on the spot. He was extremely professional, patiently explained (and re-explained) the problems so I understood, gave me multiple options based on what I felt comfortable paying, and made sure he didn’t leave until he knew his work was done correctly.So thankful to have found an honest and reliable company. Recently called Mr. Rooter to investigate clogged drains in my house. Discovered that there were roots in my sewage piping and they cleared them out, as well as replaced the toilets. Mr. Rooter plumbers were knowledgable and were able to assist when I had a follow-up emergency with my sewage drainage. All of the technicians and the manager were helpful and answered all of my questions.Giving four stars instead of five because their website advertised 24/7 emergency support, but their call center was unavailable to assist me when I called them late at night.However, customer service from Brett and his technicians was top-notch to ensure that I was taken care of.

I called Rooter plumbing and they were able to send someone that evening. The tech Tommy was very informative and made sure I understood what his recommendations were. He called me with an update and informed me of next step and what his recommendations were and made sure we were on same page of what should happen next. He did the job quickly despite some difficulties in removing the old faucet. The new faucet is working great. The area was cleaned up perfectly. All round a job well done!

Even as busy as the company was, they were able to send a technician (Mark Lucas) with the camera. Instead of having to pull up my toilet and do some major work, Mark was experienced enough to get his camera through a broken pipe that three other technicians (plus CofA crew) had already told me could not be done. By going this way the technician also saved me hundreds of dollars. The other type of estimate ranged from $750.—$2,200. Mr Rooter being the lowest price of $750.My only problem is that I didn’t call them firsthand. 2nd Update: Updating from 3 stars to 5 stars. Despite the rough experience we had at the start the work they did was very quality and worth every penny. Michael was the technician who installed the tank and pump and when we had issue he came back each time and solved and neither of the problems were to the fault of there work. We did get unlucky with the first person that we worked with (not Michael) but Michael is truly very skilled worker and very knowledgeable and he is the main reason for turning this from a 1 start to a 5 star.1st Update: Updating from 1 star to 3 star. They did reach out to me after this review and ended up doing the repair. They did do quality work in the end but costed a pretty penny (6K) and they replaced the sewage pump and basin. Overall I am indifferent about the whole situation but thought they deserved more than one star.Original Review:The guys charged $800 for their diagnostic services. They didnt even think of checking the outlet to see if it was an electrical issue. Then they stood around a twiddled their thumbs for HOURS while they waited for the pumping company to come. After they charged $800 for diagnostic services and then did not even take out the pump to look at it. The services were literally robbery in daylight and I paid $800 for them to tell me what I already knew that the pump was not working. They did not even look at or try to repair the pump.No wonder they had time to send someone over...

The response time was incredible. My water main was leaking. My wife and I had no water in the house. We tried to get someone out quickly but were have a lot of trouble. We called several places and got the run around. We were being told that we would get a call back and not hearing anything. We tried Mr. Rooter and they had Eli and Cedric out here in less than an hour. I stood outside and watched them work. They were quick, friendly and made sure the job was done right. Eli even made a comment about how badly he wanted to turn the water on but wanted to wait so that he was sure that the glue had properly set. While he was waiting we had a good conversation and they did an amazing job making me feel like they werent just trying to rush the repair so they could leave. So this is probably the best plumber I have ever dealt with in my 12 years of home ownership so far. First of all - this review is not only about Mr. Rooter in general, but specifically about the plumber I was lucky enough to use - Jason Henderson. The guy is a total BOSS!The work we had done was first of all to convert my electric cooktop to a gas top, and secondly, replace my water heater. Jason can out pretty quickly, got everything hooked up for the gas line and then when the inspector came out with his notes, Jason updated the little things here and there to keep it moving.The water heater was a whole other animal. The old water heater was 27 years old, so WAY out of code. Jason spent a full day removing the old one and getting everything up to snuff. He also went the extra mile of doing a final pressure test on the gas lines after everything to make sure that when the inspector came out we KNOW we will pass.There are so many other little things he kept doing throughout the ay that showed that he truly cares about his customers. It may not be much if I listed them, but to me and my family it was these extra little things that made a whole world of difference.I would definitely recommend Mr. Rooter to anyone as their prices and timing was top notch, but, more specifically, if you can get Jason Henderson on your job - DO IT! You will NOT be let down!

Take a minute and read this before hiring Mr Rooter of Austin. They are hands down the most professional plumbing company I have ever dealt with and I have dealt with many.I had extensive work that needed to be done from multiple root intrusion in my drained lines under my slab, repairing supply lines, gas line rerouting, toilet removal and install that required a professional to handle this massive job.From the first day they were very clear and gave me multiple options that saved me thousands of dollars to repair all the damages. They were on time every single time and the main plumber on the job, Michael, was extremely professional, patient, and explained everything he was doing before he started.The workmanship was the highest I have seen in years as they made sure everything was done correctly and constantly checked and rechecked their work.Once the job was done, they also had the inspector and engineer out the same day (which is a miracle) and wrapped up the job two weeks sooner than they had anticipated.The time they saved me along with the headaches and anxiety that goes with major plumbing work was worth every penny.Big thanks to Brett, Michael and the rest of the crew.

I was directed to Mr. Rooter via a customer support site for our tankless water heater company. We reached out to 4 licensed installers and Mr. Rooter was the only one to answer us. A rep came out to the house the next day to do an assessment. Our Rinnai tankless had a busted copper section due to icepocalypse and the turnaround time for a replacement was 1-2 months. Mr. Rooter suggested using a different company as they were getting some stock in that week. I was a little skeptical that this was just a ploy to get us locked in and that inventory would not be available. I was happily wrong. Mr Rooter contacted us within a week as promised, setup an AM install, came on time, and got the water heater up and running. The plumber, Alvin Santoy, spent less than 30 minutes working on this since we already had the broken waterline exposed.
