Alex was awesome - super friendly,professional, and cost-effective. He assessed plumbing needs for our home and effectively executed on sink/toilet installs, a water heater fix, and set up a whole new sink for us in our laundry room, which was a huge task. Alex plumbed in the new pipe and even installed the drywall. Compared to other plumbers we assessed, he had more comprehensive service (ex. adding the drywall) while also being more cost effective!

Alex is a fantastic plumber and business owner who goes above and beyond to meet his clients needs. Our water heater was in need of a cleaning and was knocking really loudly so alex came out to flush it multiple times. The sediment buildup was pretty locked in so we werent able to fully clear it that day. Alex wasnt satisfied with that though so he went and acquired a more specific tool for the job, came back 2 days later and fixed the problem at the same cost as the initial visit.Honest, good quality work is hard to come by these days and Im so glad I found a guy who I can trust in the long run! I have been a homeowner for 20 years and I have had a little bit of work done on my house. This was hands-down the best experience I have ever had. The work was excellent and exactly what I wanted. My specific issue was I had an old gas line that was positioned right in the middle of the wall and sticking out quite a ways preventing me from installing a modern stove with a flat back. Alex was able to move my gas line where it needed to go in order to accommodate the new stove and the results were more than I ever could have imagined. It is rare these days that you, get exactly what you paid for. And I guess what I mean by that is so often you end up paying a lot and not being really happy with the results. I could not be happier. I also want to comment on Alex‘s professionalism. He answers the phone promptly. He’s able to quickly diagnose what it is you are needing, he is able to say what it will take him to do the job, he showed up on time, it took him almost no time to complete the work, and as I said before, the results are excellent.highly highly highly recommend. It is so rare these days to find a service provider who follows through from first contact to completed job.

I first retained the services of Al Mac plumbing after another plumbing service told me they were unable to fix the gas connection going to my stove. Al quickly, assessed the connections and was able to fix things leaving me with the confidence that it was done correctly. Even better, his rates are reasonable.I’ve continued using him for years now for things ranging from Gas fireplace connections to fixture installations, repairing dishwasher lines, etc.As a master plumber, he seems to know it all. Alex was great to work with! We needed to run a gas line around our house and through our backyard to hook up a heater for our stock tank pool. He knocked everything out in one day and was extremely communicative during the entire process. Once the heater was delivered, he came back out to hook it up to the new gas line. Alex was great! In spite of the 30° and sleeting weather, he removed my old, leaky, dirty 40 gallon water heater from my kitchen and installed a shiny new tankless water heater outside. He answered some random plumbing questions for me too.Desmond was great as well. He installed an owners cut off valve for me and also helped address the water pressure issue. Al is great -- he was originally contracted through my pool contractor to do some work in the backyard. I was talking to him as he was wrapping up that job and mentioned a few issues in the house; Al was able to take a quick peek, offer some solutions and provided a bid.Ever since switching to a tankless water heater, we noticed some of the faucets lost pressure and took way too long to circulate hot water. We spoke to other plumbers who mentioned that there wasnt anything that could be done and that the faucet was in an as is state.I had Al come back a few weeks later and was able to fix and upgrade some of the plumbing system, to both increase water pressure and also speed up how long it takes for water to reach some of the faucets.Im really happy about the service and am thankful Ive run into Al by chance. I strongly recommend reaching out to Al as his team is great -- you wont find any better in the area.

I appreciated that they showed up promptly and charged a fair price for the short-notice work. I appreciated that for scheduled service they arrived on time. Strong recommend.

My water heater was leaking. I received bids from two plumbers who insisted the unit had to be replaced and gave bids of between $1,000 and $1,750 for just labor costs (the new water heater being a separate cost) because of the unusual configuration of the unit, space constraints, location of water filter, etc.I refused to accept those outlandish prices. I contacted the manufacturer and was sold a replacement component intending to repair the water heater myself. But, then I was stuck because my water shut-off didn’t completely turn off the water. Enter more plumbers who were telling me the only solution is to shut off water to the entire condominium building. They said that process would take several hours (on the clock the whole time). The fact that the water shut-off wasn’t operational also would have increased the original bids significantly as those bids assumed the water shut-off was functioning properly.After two weeks of a broken and dripping water heater, I contacted Al Mac who offered to come out and look at the situation. Instead of just giving me an estimate and scheduling a later date to repair the problem, he offered to fix it right then. For a couple hundred bucks, he engaged a temporary fix with my water shut-off, replaced the broken component with the part I purchased, and had the water heater totally fixed and working within an hour!!!It took him 5 minutes to diagnose the problem and explain how he could fix the unit, all at a fraction of the cost of other plumbers.I greatly appreciated his integrity to tell me what was actually needed, his willingness to use parts I had already acquired, and to repair the water heater (versus replacing it), saving me literally thousands of dollars and unnecessary work.He was incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and even vacuumed the area when the work was done, leaving my space cleaner than before he arrived to do work. The total bill was EXACTLY what he said it would be.I cannot recommend his services more!!

I highly recommend Al Mac Plumbing! I called on a Monday for a non-urgent plumbing issue (needing to get our pressure release valve and owner shutoff replaced, which were original to our house). Alex gave us quote on Wednesday, and he came out Friday to do the work. He showed up exactly when he said he’d arrive and was super friendly throughout the process. His prices were very reasonable (I called around to a few other places), and he also came inside to do a quick fix on a low-pressure shower head and kitchen sink faucet. He also made sure to work around some new landscaping we’d just done! Will definitely be using him for any future plumbing needs!

I’m super glad I discovered Al Mac plumbing. Me and my wife were smelling sewer gas in our house that we just purchased last month. The house we bought is an older house from the early 70s. The previous owner had it renovated before they sold it to us. Well I’ll cut to the chase now 😅. We had Al and his apprentice Dessie show up and they offered to perform a smoke bomb test. At first I was like, did you just say Bomb😄. Al said it’s not an actual bomb, it’s a smoke candle that he will light and put in my drain pipe. Well I said sounds pretty cool, I’m in. Well after Al did the smoke test, he discovered that I had an open piece of pipe behind my toilet in the master bathroom. Al had to pull my toilet and cut the sheetrock behind the toilet to find the pipe. Al capped the open pipe and haven’t smelled sewer gases since. Just thankful Al and Dessie could fix that in a timely manner.

We had Al Mac Plumbing install a new Pressure Reduction Valve and a Gas Valve for our dryer. They were very professional, helpful, got the job done, and cleaned up after themselves. Al was professional, knowledgeable, and provided the best response time out of the 10 calls I made. Al came out to hook up our gas stove and install a disposal. He is a Master certified plumber and goes the extra step to ensure a quality job. He is also very pleasant and personal level which is great when someone is in your house for a few hours working on multiple jobs. Al owns the company so he has a lot of stake in his work and it’s shows in his craftsmanship. He answered the phone vs me having to talk to a call center operator and then wait for someone to review my call. He also gave me transparent pricing up front vs many of the big brands that would not give me a clear hourly estimate for service. I didn’t want to enter these projects blindly so I appreciated knowing a ball park range of what to expect. We will be using Al Mac for all future plumbing jobs and so relieved to have found an honest expert plumber. Avoid the big companies and go with Al!
