The Gwyn technicians Bryce & Peyton did a very good job. They were friendly and professional. They were very thorough. They took time to answer any question I posed. They showed me before and after pictures. They thoroughly cleaned all the vents that needed it. The dryer vent of course was the worst. We are so glad we got this done. We are satisfied Gwyn customers.A couple of minor things. They did not send the pictures. They may have tried to, but if so they didn’t come through. I called the office and they were sent today. Also, they left the thermostat turned off. I’m sure they meant to turn it back on once they were finished.

Mark was wonderful. He came and spent 1.5 hours looking into why my heater wasnt working, fixed it so it was, changed the filter in my AC and fixed my thermostat. He explained everything he was doing and why. And Mark took lots of pictures for me. I will definitely be calling Gwyn Services again!

After 50+ years as an electrical, plumbing and HVAC technician, I know if someone knows what they are doing and Mark knows his trade.Mark arrived on time, asked what the problem was. He went outside and in a few minutes he had diagnosed and repaired the condensing unit and washed the dirt and grass off of the coils.Unit works great!! Another great job. Technicians were very efficient and completed job as described. Installed RV 30amp outlet on house for camper hook up. Had been using 20amp drop cord to charge camper battery and run lights or fridge. Couldn’t run A/C. But now…Yippee! I can run my A/C in the RV during the summer. Basically just added another room to my house!

I am thoroughly impressed with Gwyn Services and how they handled our plumbing emergency. We called them out as an urgent matter because we had family visiting, and unfortunately, one of our guests accidentally poured hot grease down the drain. As many know, this is a big no-no, and it caused severe blockages in both our kitchen sinks and led to backflow with black residue.The situation left my husband and me beyond frustrated and upset. Initially, we thought it was a septic issue, so we contacted our local natural gas provider, who then referred us to a plumber. Thankfully, they recommended Gwyn Services.When Gwyn Services arrived, they were prompt, professional, and incredibly efficient. Within less than an hour, they resolved the blockage and restored our sinks to working order. The technicians were courteous, knowledgeable, and provided valuable recommendations for preventing future issues.The service was not only swift but also reasonably priced. They charge a $125 assessment fee, which is well worth it considering the comprehensive service they provide. My husband and I are extremely grateful for their help, and we cannot express enough how satisfied we are with the outcome.If you ever have any plumbing needs or require emergency service, I highly recommend Gwyn Services. Gwyn Services of Winston-Salem did an outstanding job on my recent Change Out from a 25yo R22 system, to a new 2.5 Ton R410A American Standard 14 Seer2 AC unit, with 80 AFUE furnace in the attic of my new house. Everyone did their job exceptionally well.Terrell Robinson and apprentice came with an estimate and Gwyn Services stood by their estimate. I requested an outdoor unit sound supressor for the compressor (photo-orange top), made by Trane (very similar build), and they threw it in for free. Peyton Engle said that made a big difference in the sound and I believe him. For anyone with an outdoor unit near a window, I highly recommend. Peyton also lined up the copper tubing exactly with the outdoor gravel pedestal I built for the unit (photo), to get it up off the ground and the mulch. Joel Gonzalez did precision work in the attic on a hot day. I also understand Joel Gonzales also does great duct work and can duct anything. To finish, Corbin Miller came by at the time of Forsyth HVAC Inspection and did a Start Up, where they calibrate your system. He changed the blower speed (Single Phase-12 possible speeds) from a Tap 7 to a Tap 4, which greatly reduced the air flow down to the appropriate speed of 400 CFMs per ton. Corbin also took the time to help me load the theromstat (American Standard 824) IPhone app, which lets me monitor and change the temperature and Heating/Cooling phase of my house remotely (photo).I added 50A Neoprene rubber as a vibration damper between the cinder blocks and the sheet metal water overflow drip pan and between the cinder blocks and the furnace/AC blower unit. Gwyn insulated the condensation overflow pipe to prevent dripping in the attic. Duct work from new attic units to existing duct work was a perfect fit. On top of being good at what they do, they were all very personable answering all my questions and I have a lot of questions, I am a software engineer. I requested an extended transferrable warranty and for a little extra, I got it through Gwyn, whom I expect to continue doing business. I bought this unit based on the reputation of Gwyn Services and glad I did. I have high standards and rarely give a glowing review unless deserved.January 1, 2025 all new residential AC installs will change to the new Propane based refrigerant, which will cost somewhere around 20% more and probably be less efficient and probably be running under increased pressure, making them less reliable.You may consider getting your new R410a system now while you can...Edward Fey

I called Gwyn Services because of an issues with the drain line on our attic HVAC until. Their Technician Cullen showed up as scheduled, diagnosed the problem thoroughly. They serviced and cleaned the unit and offered a 30 day guarantee on the service call.I am a contractor myself in the housing industry. It hard to find reliable companies who hire professional and qualified people. Gwen Services is new to the Morganton and surrounding areas. They are based out of Winston Salem. I am so glad to support there new expansion and glad I called them.I am now going to contract them to a yearly service agreement to maintain and service both our units on our home. Gwyn heating and air has been our go-to for several years. They are reliable, timely and honest. We just had our dual system replaced as it had not been working in years. Their estimate was better than anyone . The techs were very respectful as i was working from home that day. After they left we had realized the system was still not working as it should. I called and left a VM at 5:30 pm and the same tech was back out by 10 am. He dixed the problem and appologized . He owned the mistake and was very kind about it . I greatly appreciated his honesty . He had it fixed in less than an hour . I would HIGHLY recommend them !

Excellent job on our indoor and outdoor ceiling fan installations yesterday! Matt came out for an estimate on both jobs, which he had for us the next day, and contacted us within a week to get us scheduled. Ben was here for most of the day, since both jobs were complicated (outdoor open taverna and indoor installation in a 100 year old house). He needed to make several trips to get special switch boxes, braces, etc. and did a wonderful job. He was very personable, very easy to work with and we are very, very pleased with the outcome! Ive had some bad experiences with HVAC techs in the past so I had been remiss in having my systems serviced. But after almost 4 years of being in my house, I felt it was time to have them checked. I checked the American Standard website for recommendations in this area and found Gwyn Services. Their reviews were excellent so I scheduled an appointment. The tech came yesterday. He showed up on time, was pleasant, and seemed extremely knowledgeable. After checking my systems, he helped to install a smart thermostat that I didnt think was compatible based on the wiring. But he knew instantly that one of the wires was labelled incorrectly. I was very happy with my service experience and will definitely call Gwyn for future needs.

We contacted Gwyn HVAC Services to address operational issues with our AC units. Our technician Mark arrived promptly when expected and went straight to work on diagnosing the problem. Within 40 minutes he had finished his work and gave us the results of his investigation. We are looking at replacing our twenty year old units based on his observations and recommendations.While it wasn’t the results we had hoped for, I can say it isn’t unexpected. Mark was very professional in his communication with us and we would welcome him back for future work. He was able to restore at least partial operations of our old units until we can get the equipment replaced.

Electricians came out to my house on Friday and replaced the wiring to my sump pump. I was away from the house from Friday midmorning until Saturday evening after 6pm. Upon walking in the house I only had power in 2 rooms. I called Gwyn and a repairman was at my house within an hour. Joe Middleton quickly found the problem and fixed it and checked several outlets to ensure I had power. Again, I cant say anything negative about my experience. Joe was very professional, extremely nice and got the job done in minutes! It says alot about a companys reputation when their workers treat you with respect and take care of you like family. My 97 year old mother’s caretaker discovered an active water leak in her copper water line under the house. We called in the service order at 6:30 PM. By 9:00 Pm the tech was on-site and finished by 11:00 PM, replacing 2 T junctions and making sure the water was turned on and functioning properly. Thank you so much!!

Update to the prior service and experience: after shutting down my system I called the company to install a new unit. As I expected Darrell the sale manager came out to show me what was available for my attic. He was professional and new what unit would be best suited for the area. Unit ordered and installed. It was done by two excellent installers, Bryce. The work was completed in one day. When they left, you would have never known they were there. The area was left immaculate. Very pleased with the installers.Servicemen are always pleasant to deal with and always addresses my concerns. Checked the second unit and found it to have a slow carbon monoxide leak. He immediately turned the unit off which I was so grateful. Mark explained what the problem was and how it could affect my life if left on. This is the reason for my yearly contract with this company to circumvent problems of this nature. Once Mark was done the work area was left nice and clean. Very pleased.

Gwynn Electrical, HVAC and Plumbing has been to my house a few times to repair things (1 electrical, 1 HVAC and 1 plumbing). I have always been extremely pleased with them. They are very honest about the cost of repairs.My experience with all 3 repairs was excellent: I received a fair price for the repair, and in the case of the HVAC repair, they saved me thousands of dollars from what other estimates recommended. The other HVAC repairs wanted to replace my entire system for a cost of around $13,000. Gwynn discovered that it was only the compressor that needed to be replaced and that was $2000 to repair.I recommend them highly and would not hesitate to use them again.

That really helps knowing they are looking for potential hazards and alerting the home owner that it needs to be corrected. The problem was the original valve (installed by builders subcontractor) was a poor quality Price Pfister model. Gwyn installed a Delta valve, spout and shower head that are first rate. Not cheap but fast, competent, courteous, and reliable.

These guys took out my very old oil furnace and AC unit and replaced everything with a top of the line system, for much better of a price than I expected. Everyone I worked with was very helpful and easy to communicate with!Nathan Phillips helped get me set up for an appointment and advise on what route to take, quickly and easily; Terrell Robinson came out and gave me an accurate quote in only about 10 mins and even explained some things I didn’t understand about my ductwork, he was also very easy to text or call any time I needed him; Dustin and Mason (don’t know their last names) installed the whole system and not only did an excellent job in 2 days time, but were also fun to talk to and very friendly. Lastly, they had to give me a new breaker box and meter and unfortunately I don’t know the guys names who did that but they also did an awesome job and contacted me promptly when they needed to.Overall it was a very streamlined and satisfying experience. I’m super excited to have this new system installed as it’s a major improvement. I highly recommend going with Gwyn!

I needed a breaker put in I am on a Duke engery program. I learned a lot from the young man that came to my house he fixed the breaker and I was telling them about my heat hump. That someone was going to give me a estimate and was gonna charge me a $100 and he said they get free estimates but he did look at my heat up and tell me exactly what was wrong with it. This is a very Professional business. Theyre not trying to rip you off either theyre very honest. I have recommended them to a few people already.

Long but gives comparison of Gwyn to another well known company in the area.My husband and I had worked with another company for HVAC maintenance and service in the past. Our AC went out at the end of June and we called them. That company quoted me $5,000 just to get the unit working and $10,000 for a long term fix. They said at $10,000 it would make sense to replace the entire unit. (I agreed with that logic). Weird thing is, they refused to give me the quotes and insisted my husband contact them after work so they could give him the new unit quotes.Once they left I did a lot of research on AC units. Decided from what they said, their numbers didnt seem reasonable. Did a lot of research on AC companies and decided to contact Gwyn.Gwyn didnt have many negative reviews and the ones they had mostly appeared not their fault and everyone seemed to love their techs. I sent a request online that night. Gwyn called me the next day and said they could fit me in that afternoon (Friday afternoon before 4th. I wasnt home so the rest is my husbands experience).The gentleman (dont remember his name) walked him through all the issues. My husband paid him a little less than $500 to find the location of a leak and he said theyd get back to him with the quote for repair. But, he also cleaned our unit and had it cooling again before he left for no additional charge.My husband assumed since Tuesday of the next week was the 4th, we wouldnt hear anything back for a while. He was wrong. Monday he received a message with a quote. I dont remember for sure but I believe the quote was around $1,500. We havent had the work done yet but thats because we have been trying to work with our home warranty with the reimbursement process. Once the work is done, I will update with my review of the work.Every part of our experience with Gwyn has exceeded our expectations. Needless to say Gwyn will be our new HVAC service going forward.

Service provided was Electrical service. Gwyn stepped into a typical older home remodel and did a great job roughing in the Electrical. They had a lot of trouble shooting to do, picking through a mess of spaghetti wiring from the past. They are nice to talk through issues, they asked questions that made me feel they had experience with older home wiring. Overall we are very pleased with the first phase of the project, and look forward to the finish phase!

I moved from NJ and purchased a home in NC. I smelled gas as soon as I moved in and call the Gas Company and they responded quickly. They informed me I had a very slow gas link. Being new to the area I didn’t know whom to call. I saw their name on the Air Condition and made the call. They responded to my call and set up an appointment. A wonderful tech, Mark Gizan, made the service call. He was outstanding and very patient since I was so upset. The Air Condition was fixed. Due to their quick response I signed up for their annual contract which included a plumber and an electrician. So far I used both, each one was pleasant and curious. Today, my firer alarm when off and was buzzing for hours. I called them to please help because I did not know what to do. They sent a tech out and it was fixed immediately. They have given me peace of mind. I know I can depend on them for help in an emergency.

UPDATE - April 2024. Gwyn did semi-annual check up on heat pump systems. Tech was competent, courteous and thorough.I use only Gwyn for any plumbing, HVAC or electrical work. They do the job right and are very professional. You will not find them to be the least expensive, but you get what you pay for with them.UPDATE - I just had Gwyn do some wiring for towel warmer and install an outdoor security light/camera. As usual work was done correctly with a professional tech. I highly recommend them.

Fuel was leaking somehow and tech stated pump had went bad. My son checked it and a part had somehow became loose. If my son had had not checked my landlord would been out of expense for new pump. I haven’t been able to leave heat on because of the strong smell of fuel. I have never had this issue in the past and I have lives here since 2007.
