Well, I had my visit with Rich. I usually ask for the same service man each time so he knows my furnace and air conditioner. I needed a part and on this new service agreement the part was 50% off regular price on this plan. Hes been watching this particular part fir a while and said it may have to be replaced.I was sceptical at first, but its worth the little bit higher price in case something fails on the furnace.

I was told by the manufacturer that I had a recall on my air conditioner and a repair man would be coming out to service my unit. . When the repairman showed up and checked my equipment, he explained that that there wasnt a recall on my air condition, but rather on Goodman furnaces (which I did not have). While he was here he checked out my air conditioner and explained what to do to alleviate the issue I was having. I was told originally that there would be no charge to me, and he honored that. Nice guy.

He is a thorough technician who did all the checking for the silver level service. He made excellent recommendations of things I can do to get better utilization out of our systems. She found Kevin Thompson in the shop and routed him to me. He was scheduled to install a water heater, but found a way to replace my defective valves in record time. I am very appreciative of the quick and professional care that I received. Kevin was easy to talk to and was very knowledgeable. I cannot express my thanks for the work that I received. I have used this company twice through my home warranty. Prior to going through the warranty, I had used a handful of other plumbing companies which had severely overcharged me for minor plumbing repairs and fix it issues. I purchased my home in April and have been bombarded with hidden issues that didnt come up on the home inspection. The gentlemen that I have dealt with from THIS Rentmeister (specifically the Total Home Service in Syracuse) have been absolutely extraordinary. They always give a courtesy call to let me know when they are about 15-20 minutes away to make sure there is someone available. I have had to have 2 pipes replaced in my house and both times I have used this Rentmeister. They are extremely helpful and give you the big picture rather than just coming in and fixing what is broken. I had a leak in my kitchen drain pipe that I thought only needed a replacement in the top portion of the pipe. The guys at Rentmeister told me they would fix the broken pipe but they highly recommended checking the bottom portion of the pipe (which is in the basement) as well to make sure no further water damage was caused. Thank goodness they did because the pipe was broken at both ends. They even showed me the pipe when they pulled it out so that I could see where and how it had cracked. I always appreciate this kind of business because it lets you know your arent just getting charged for something they say you need when you might not actually need it, regardless if it is covered under a home warranty or not. These gentlemen always clean up before they leave, they vacuumed and wiped down my kitchen floor. They have been kind enough to refer me to other professionals that they recommend for other projects I have in the house and I have full confidence that anyone they recommend would be just as excellent as they are. There is also a Rentmeister in Ogden which is right now the street from me but I will always use the Syracuse one based on the professional experience and expertise they have demonstrated to me. 10/10 would recommend this business!

I had a problem with my heat coming on. I replaced the thermostat but problem continued. Called Rentmeister & they came out in about 4 hrs. Technician found a dirty flame sensor. Cleaned it & furnace came on. I thought the charge was quite high for what he did ($231.00) but I am grateful he got our heat back working.-------------------UPDATE-----------------------This company is awesome. They responded to my review & even called me to tell me a typo was done on the billing code & gave me a credit back for the mistake. Not many places would do that. Thanks again for the great service & the honesty.

I love Rentmeister. My warranty company sent them out to fix a water hammer noise and they replaced the pressure regulator the first time. Kevin came out and was very knowledgeable and kind. Great guy. my sound came back and my warranty company sent out a different plumber service to look at the issue. They would not listen and installed parts i didnt need that didnt fix the issue and when the issue wasnt fixed told my warranty company my drywall would have to be ripped apart. They wouldnt listen to me when I told them I thought it was the kitchen sink causing the issue since the noise started there and I had low water pressure and a leak. I asked for a second opinion and Kevin from Rentmeister came back. He was great listened to the symptoms I described and replaced the faucet and shutoff valves. Issue resolved. Thank you to Rentmeister for having such knowledgeable and professional plumbers. It was such a relief to have everything fixed and to be taken seriously. I would use this company with or without a warranty as I feel they are fair, honest and have great customer service. Which i should add that even when i spoke with the people on the main line they were extremely kind and helpful as well.

Ive had some faucets that has been broken for a few year and they came in and replaced them for me. Kevin and Braden was awesome for all the hard work they had to do due to our nice Syracuse City hard water Ha!!Ha!! And I dont have a water softener but they got everything installed, so now they are in working conditions and made me a happy camper and that I have a bathroom shower again in my hall bathroom and a nice sink and new faucet and a new outdoor faucet on my house that has been leaking for a year or so now and replaced my toilet inners that quit working the day before my appointment and was able to take care of that too while they were there. Honestly, I have been very impressed with this company. Very professional. They removed two water heaters for us, and replaced with a tankless water heater. My daughter used Rentmeister for some plumbing fixes in her new home which was a fixer upper. Joseph with Rentmeister gave her the quote and did the work . He and his partner replaced some old pipe brought a water heater to code installed new toilet flange and waste line hookup, washer lines replaced just to name a few things . He and his partner did excellent work. Because of this I asked them to give me a quote on rough in plumbing and install of sink and toilet in my basement remodel. Their quote came in at much less than my previous plumber. They roughed in my lines moved my waste line. They then came back after I had finished my drywall and flooring and installed my toilet and sink faucet. The toilet tank was a little too big. This was a Friday morning. Joseph told me it was not a problem. He checked with his supplier in Logan and told me he could come back that afternoon or replace the tank first thing Monday. He returned on Monday and replaced and finished the install. I can’t say enough about how happy I am with the quality of the job. The great professionalism of the people that work for this company. Ive used Rentmeister several times through my First American Home warranty over the past couple of years. Ive always been pleased with their service. Earlier this month in Feb 2020, I discovered a new plumbing problem. I noticed water dripping from the top of a doorway (obviously from inside the wall from the upstairs bath to a downstairs hallway). Yikes! I called and my home warranty assigned Rentmeister. I reported the issue on a Sunday night. Rentmeister called me monday morning around 10am and scheduled my service for the next day. Kevin and Braden showed up right on time. I was glad they sent two people because one obviously needed to be downstairs and one upstairs. They ran the bathtub water and shower and tested the drainage... no water leaking. Curious. They discussed with me cutting a small hole in the wall to further investigate. Before they started cutting, we talked about the size of the hole and how I wanted to add an access panel later so that it would be easy for me. Finally, Kevin asked Braden to spray the wall of the shower with water while he watched for leaks. Bingo! The culprit was an old seal around the water on/off/temp knob and a loose screw. A very simple fix, but a very tricky diagnosis. I would have never figured it out if Id have asked my dad to fix it. Experience definitely played a big role in finding and fixing my problem quickly and without more damage. They reassured me that there wasnt mold in the wall and their sensor showed no moisture readings- wed caught the problem quickly. These guys are great! Good cleanup, professionalism and friendliness.

Joseph came out today to help me when I called my warranty company about the sound of running water with all of my fixtures off. We looked for quite a while without finding a leak, before Joseph figured out it was the water shutoff valve and regulator. After all that was done he answered several questions for me about my options for upgrading my water heater and installing a softener. My AC went out and my home warranty had assigned another contractor, but they never reached out to me. They contacted me very promptly and even offered to come out at 9:30 pm, but I said we had already made arrangements. Nathan was at my house by 10:00 am the next morning fixed my AC. They removed the old heater and replaced it within three hours of my initial call for service which was very much appreciated. The cost was a shock and I couldn’t help but feel a little taken advantage of. Over $2100 to replace a water heater seems out of line, even if it was after hours. The technicians did tell me that they charge time and one-half for after hours work and I agreed to that, so I suppose I should have asked more questions. I appreciate the job and the timeliness, just not the price.

Great company with integrity and amazing customer service. They got a technician right out to fix a problem with our air conditioner. They were able to diagnose a simple a malfunctioning power controller that another company missed and recommended that we replace the entire system.

I have to say I have been very happy with this company. I had several problems with my AC, and my home warranty assigned Rentmeister to come and help. Through a series of issues due to the complexity of the problem, I had to have 3 separate service calls to my home to have my AC fixed. Each time the technicians were polite, helpful, as well as knowledgeable. Due to a seriously broken down AC unit, we finally got everything working after the 3rd call, and the technicians let me know to call them if I had ANY problems, and they would be out to fix it immediately. For having received a horrible service request in my awfully run down AC unit, they definitely helped me out of a hard place. Thank you, Rentmeister!!!!

Great company! Our basement flooded and we needed help. I called the company Monday 1/20 and the earliest they could get us in was Thursday 1/23, theyre busy. I called back this morning, Tuesday 1/21, asking how to go about keeping the water down and from destroying the basement (some companies state if you mess with anything [tamper] even with the clean up they could deny a claim). I was directed by (Diana, sorry if I got this wrong) to call Joseph. I called him, explained the situation, and instead of Thursday, he agreed to come out tonight. He asked that I call him around 3pm to confirm. I did and he came out a bit later. He is amazing, informative, and made recommendations for something I wasnt sure on. Kept asking if there was anything else. Again, thank you Joseph!!! If there were more stars, Id give a 10!
