When my wife and I were buying a house we had the guys at Gill plumbing inspect the plumbing and create a work order for what needed to be updated. Because of Gill plumbings quick communication. We were able to take those cost estimates to the seller and get the sale price reduced. After we bought the house, John and Nick from Gill plumbing replaced our water heater and pressure reducing valve on my main shutoff line. The water flow in the house is great now and the heater works like a dream. I was so pleased with the work they did I had them replace the kitchen sink. They completed the work fast and the quality was great. I would trust them with any of my future plumbing needs.

I recently hired John Will Plumbing to replace my old water heater, and I couldnt be happier with the service. The installation was seamless, and Nick even took the time to answer all my questions, making sure I was comfortable with everything before he left. The customer service, quality of work, pricing, and education are all top notch! Don’t waste your time like I did shopping around. Go with Gill’s first.By far the best experience I’ve had with a plumber. We reached out to inquire about getting an estimate for installing a pressure reducer valve. Within 3 days, Mr. Gill was at our property looking everything over and providing us with a comprehensive estimate that was fairly priced compared with a couple other estimates we received from other companies. We scheduled the installation within a couple days. They arrived on time, completed the installation, made sure our entire system was fit to work with the new valve. Then they educated us on how to take care of our new set up ourselves.

I had a great experience Gill Plumbing! I purchased a house in San Antonio this summer and realized I had an error code on my water softener and it didnt appear to be working right. I called and spoke with John and he helped me resolve the error code and set it to recycle that night.I scheduled an appointment for the following week since it looked like the service was 2 years past due. Nick came out and educated me on the softener, gave advice on some other potential plumbing issues, rebed the carbon filter, and installed a new resin catch filter. I had paint to match the walls, so he and his team mate painted the plywood so it looks like it is original to the house! Im very pleased and it is great to have soft water again!

I just wanted to recommend Gill Plumbing for any plumbing issues. We had a leak in the front slab of our house, they found it very fast, fixed it and were able to reroute the leak without going through my kitchen or the floor. Nick did the majority of the work with his assistant, and did an amazing job. They were all very professional, fast, and friendly. They kept us informed on each step they were doing and finished it in two days. John also helped us find a brick mason to replace the brick in front of the house where the repair was made. This is a wonderful, very professional company, and I highly recommend it.

We had a nasty leak right next to the water meter, and by the time SAWS came out and declared that it was our problem to fix, we were wasting thousands of gallons of water a day. I called Gill Plumbing based on a recommendation from a friend, and John promised to come out as soon as he could. He came the same day, even though it was after “normal” business hours, and quickly made the repair. Not only that, he made improvements that will help us avoid this issue in the future. I will definitely call him again the next time I need a plumber!

We called Gill Plumbing because the city water said we had a leak somewhere, but it wasn’t obvious where. Nick came out and made some diagnoses, located the leak under a sidewalk, dug it up and replaced the plumbing. I had a backed up kitchen sink and after looking for the normal cause, Nick came and used an auger to clean the pipes. Problem fully solved! Nick and David arrived on time (a little early, actually, but they called to verify that was okay first). Very clean and professional. Explained options and their troubleshooting and diagnosis. Cleaned out under the sink, replaced everything when they were done and completely cleaned and scrubbed the sinks from the standing water. Gill Plumbing installed a new water softener a couple of years ago. What really drew me to Gill was their competitive pricing. I had got quotes from other plumbing companies but they were trying to sell the Cadillac of water softeners. Gill provided me a quote just for what Id need and it was well priced. Also, when the job prior to my fathers ran later then expected, the plumber called to let him know he was running late and when my father could expect him. Not only did he deduct the cost of the new tank bought by my father from their invoice, he came back to install it at no extra charge. I called Gill Plumbing Services in the late afternoon due to having water pressure issues for days. Knowing already that my water softener wasnt working at all I called and over the phone John asked me some questions and probable causes. He and Nick showed up to my house the very next morning and explained in detail how the softener worked and provided some solutions due to its lack of operation. John gave me a fair quote on a new tank and other work I requested to be done. They both worked efficiently and solved the 2 issues. Called them out for a leak in a pipe under our foundation and they came and gave us a reasonable quote. We were schedule that same week and were able to get everything fixed same day. They actually screwed our drywall back in place which is something other plumbing companies haven’t done for us. They were timely, professional, and took the time to make sure they were addressing all of our plumbing needs. They even tried to fix our toilet for no charge. He also sat down and wrote out an itemized bill to submit for insurance purposes. Will definitely be using them again for any future leaks/plumbing issues!

As always John did a very professional job! I was able to do one stop shopping . He had the water heater and all the parts needed to do the job up to code. John is always very punctual, he cleaned everything after complete the job. He explained how to use the new water heater and set expectations for future maintenance in order to keep the unit running for many years to come. He also replaced the pressure valve and added a lever to close the water in that way I will get a rebate from SAWS. John’s prices are adequate for the kind of product he delivers. If you want a cheap job and cheap workmanship look somewhere else.

Okay, here’s my story, last night I came home and noticed water on our garage floor. I pretty much knew it was my water heater and the tank broke and I would need a replacement water heater. Well, that night I contacted a reputable company and they came out and confirmed what I knew and gave me a bid. I thought OMG this is awfully high (my last water heater cost me about $700). We’ll, the following morning I got another bid from a well known company and it was $500 more than the previous one. Then I called Gill’s Plumbing and they promptly came out and gave me a bid and it was in line with my first bid. I went with John Gill and I’m so happy I did. They were so professional and you could tell they were perfectionist and the work they did was amazing. Yeah, it was pretty expensive but now that I see the finished job, IT WAS WELL WORTH IT. I would not hesitate to recommend John for any plumbing issues. I admire his professionalism and dedication to his customers. Please give Gill’s Plumbing an opportunity to bid on your next job. They used cameras to identify the problem areas (there were several), and diligently cleaned out the many clogged pipes in the older home I recently bought (some of which had likely been clogged for years). John Gill and his team are the best service plumbers I have ever had the pleasure to do business with. They are not the cheapest, but they are definitely worth it and an incredible value. If you really value your property and the people associated with it, you should call Gill. Big-bad-John knows a ton about all eras of plumbing- we use him on a couple of 1920s houses (and everywhere else) and I am always impressed with Gills. First time homeowners and we had our first major issue. Sewer water backed up into our guest bathtub and it was a mess. Found John on the nextdoor app-he came HIGHLY recommended from my neighbors-so we gave him a call. He was courteous, prompt and professional. Gave me the price over the phone and found/fixed the issue in no time. He worked in the pouring rain to get us back to normal. My review for Gill Plumbing Services is long overdue.Simply put Gills, when i shopped around (I even have personal friends who are plumbers), was the most reasonably priced I could find this side of The Mississippi.My water pressure was too high. I needed work done on the incoming water line from the street and near the water heater I needed a tank installed.I am 100% satisfied, and close to 6 months later after a full remodel all is well.His work, as well as the gentleman who accompanied him, was professional, quick, and above all affordable.The next time anything plumbing related comes up I know who Ill call.

I found John and his company after others failed to do the job right. He changed out our boiler a couple of months ago and we loved that he communicated throughout the whole process and was competitive with his pricing. We have since hired him again to change out our sewer line which requires digging under our slab. Once again, competitive pricing, communicative, and superb follow through. I highly recommend.

Today was the third time John Gill has come to my rescue.First time was November 5th, 2020. My elderly step father needed to have a toilet fixed. John fixed the toilet same day and came back the same week to replace a toilet (not the one he fixed)The second time he helped me, I discovered a leak in the garage ceiling which is below my daughter’s bathroom. He took the time to walk me through what the issue could be. It turned out to not be a broken pipe but a leak between tub and shower faucet, leaking into the ceiling. This was in Early February 2021.Today, John replaced a faulty faucet in my elderly step father’s bathroom as well as the hot/cold pipes under the sink that are at least 40 years old.I continue to call John because he is reliable, honest and very thorough with his work. I would highly recommend him to anyone. He is good people as we say in Texas!

He gave me a receipt with a one year warranty and a refrigerator sticker. Gill Plumbing saved the day during rush hour traffic and did a perfect job. I highly recommend him to the people who live in Hill Country Retreat and the Alamo Ranch area.

As a first time home owner, I was having an issue with the water heater & a constant leak so naturally I was pretty worried that the leak was filling up a bucket enough for me to constantly empty out the bucket. My home warranty company that issued the original plumbing company was not taking the urgency into consideration since I had to do the follow-ups and also that they were No-Shows on both appointments they scheduled. I called Gill Plumbing Services and it was an immediate response and same day visit with in 20 min to half an hour!! The problem was temporarily fixed since it was later in the day near closing hours. Gill Plumbing said they can do a complete installation with the proper sized water heater and bring it all up to code. The problem was immediately repaired the following morning at 9am as he said he would. My experience was beyond my expectations and the customer service was outstanding!! It’s rare to find good reputable companies that care about what they do, are knowledgeable, have great customer service & do quality work. I am thankful for the work done on my home & I will use Gill Plumbing for all my future needs for my new home. The gentleman were very professional from beginning to end. Thank you both so much for coming out and doing a wonderful job!!

We had a problem with a toilet that would not flush. Gill Plumbing had good reviews. We called them not hoping for much, as it was 10:00 on the Friday before a 3 day holiday. Much surprised to hear he would try to be here after 2 jobs and estimated 1:00...hooray!! He got here about 2:15 and went right to work. The two guys were here for 3 hours and also repaired another toilet. We were very pleased with the way they worked and their price was fair. We will definitely use them again.
