HVAC technician Jonathon Herbert recently serviced our AC unit for its yearly maintenance and he was amazing!! He is very knowledgeable in his field and very respectful. Day 2 (12/3/2024): Joseph and Adam thoroughly investigated to find a leak inside and outside the house. The result was that the leak was associated with the water flowing in and out of the swimming pool. Its a simple fix and something the pool tech can do. In addition, they discovered that the water pump connected to the hot water heater to send hot water to the bathrooms was burned out. They replaced the pump and processed a timer to keep it from burning out in the future.More professional, knowledgeable jobs by Elmers.Day 1 (12/2/2024) Arnaldo went above and beyond. He was assigned to look at our water softening system. Hours later and after conducting a full review of our plumbing system, Arnaldo determined we needed further experienced help. We were so pleased with his professionalism and friendliness and look forward to further work from Arnaldo and other Elmers technicians to take care of all of our needs. I had Henry Diaz come fix part of my AC unit that was damaged when installing my water heater. Henry was super professional, worked quickly with all his knowledge. We also have a new born in the home and he was super respectful of our space and was quiet while doing his work, which was amazing. Would definitely request him again if possible.

I had an emergency issue today (SAWS sent an email saying my water was running for a couple of days straight). I called and their van showed up within an hour. Jesse and Josue were excellent. They found the leak quickly and were able to repair it without any problems. Both were extremely polite and answered our plumbing questions. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. I highly recommend Elmers!

Elmers plumbing was quick to respond and service even on a weekend! With knowledgeable staff they were able to pinpoint our problem pretty quickly. To add to their services, we worked with 24 hour Flood Pros of San Antonio to help clean up our flooded carpet. Thank god for quick service from them as well, as they prevented mold build up and further damage, while explaining everything that was going on.

Elmers did a terrific job! Jason came out and cleared the clogged sewer line, replaced my hall bathroom toilet and even diagnosed a leak in my water heater. He also diagnosed a larger issue which Chris and his crew came out and completed the repair in one day. Raymond and Juan along with the excavation crew came out the next day to backfill the holes. They even offered to fill some other holes in our front yard with the leftover dirt. Steven called and followed up to validate if the service was completed satisfactorily. The entire Elmers crew and office dispatch staff provided exceptional customer service! Thank you for everything!

I recently purchased a new home and was surprised when the city notified me of a major leak. My first call was to to Elmers and the agent who took my call was empathetic, professional, and upfront about the timeline for scheduling a consultation. He booked my appointment for first thing the next morning. Joseph and Shane arrived on time the following day to evaluate the situation, then presented a variety of service options (including financing) while answering all my questions along the way. As a first time homebuyer, they understood this was another new experience for me and quickly came up with a creative solution to preserve my yard, prevent future risk to the new pipes, and contacted the city while on-site to be sure work could begin today. I cannot begin to describe the relief I felt when Joseph and Shane began breaking down the affordable service options which included a 10yr warranty. Im so grateful for their expertise and compassion towards the situation we were facing.Gonzalo was out at the property before end of day to complete a post service inspection and gave me the thumbs up. The entire Elmers team truly provided a memorable experience and affirmed my choice to call them my go-to provider for plumbing needs.

My mom and I live in a home that has been here since the 1920s. Its an old house! We recently had a new toilet put in the main bathroom and shortly after started noticing a sewage smell and our toilets were not flushing properly. I was having surgery at the time so the problem could not be looked at. My mother is a spritely senior on a fixed income and I help take care of her. The day after coming home from the hospital we really started having problems with the toilet. I knew it was time to call a professional. I have always believed in the integrity of Elmers Plumbing because of the previous reviews (I researched!) and commercials which have always stuck with me. Elmers integrity and love for his parents always showed through the camera and you can hear it in his voice. THIS idea and philosophy are exceptionally important to us because keeping the integrity of the house is crucial as this is a generational house. It was bought and cared for by my grandparents who were able to live here until death. Then it became my moms. Eventually it will be mine and my sons. I just knew Elmers was the company to call. I have not been disappointed. The receptionist was kind and very straightforward. When Michael the scheduler called about the tech coming out he was also the same. Shayne the first tech was right on time. He was kind, knowledgeable and exceptionally patient. He explained everything very well as he went along. He let us know pricing was as he went along too. Once he determined the problems (it wasnt just one!) he set to work. He let us know that he was bringing a senior tech to come and further assist as the problems were becoming complicated. Joseph and Adam showed up right away. They had a great attitude and were very patient and explained everything so we could understand and make the best financial decision. Joseph was very helpful on the financial stuff. He answered my questions very clearly and his experience shows. He helped us get a payment plan set up. They had to call a fourth person, Arnaldo the jetter because the problem extended into the backyard. He also came quickly and was very very kind. They have wonderful teamwork skills and ALL their experience shows. They all explained what the whole fix was going to be. They set to work and were neat, clean, and have got the job done. We are fixed and we can rest assured for no more issues for a long time. They even helped keep the cat inside! I knew I made the right choice with Elmers Plumbing and I will call them again for any issues. The team was great, patient, explanatory, professional, honest and polite. The quality of work was excellent and professional. If you need a plumber, this is the company to call. Thank you Elmers (especially Shayne, Joseph, Adam, and Arnaldo) YOU ALL ROCK!

Called this morning because there was a leak on my downstairs ceiling from my upstairs bathroom. They sent Patrick K. out in less than an hour of that call. He was able to pinpoint the issue, get supplies and fix my leak same day. As you can imagine, that’s not something you want to deal with the day after Christmas. I was able to apply for an easy 6 month payment plan. I’m super happy with the company and customer service. He even patched my hole up until I can find a drywall person. He also informed me of their yearly plans for HVAC and plumbing, which I will be signing up for as soon as my useless home warranty plan is up. Thanks y’all!

Our heat went out and we decided to call Elmers. Tech Nathan Gilbert came during the time frame dispatch gave us. Nathan was very thorough and answered all questions we had. Unfortunately since ot was the weekend we couldnt get it fixed until Monday. Monday came around and sure enough he called us with prices with all the options we had discussed. He explained each option throughly and once we selected option that best fit our budget he was here to fix unit. Very fast and efficient. Would definitely recommend Elmers and Nathan he is very knowledgeable and professional.

Elmers radio commercial always said he ...kept that system running for another 17(?) years. Challenge accepted!

Weve used a few other companies in the past and felt that either they didnt do a very good job or they outright took advantage of us. So when we had an emergency air conditioning issue come up a while back, we gave this place a shot, because they were willing to come out quickly without charging us an outrageous after hours fee. They did a great job, and we have used them since.We had an issue yesterday where our AC quit putting out cold air until we turned it off and turned it back on. So we called Elmers to come out and look at it and see if they can find the cause and prevent it from happening again. The rep that came out, JONATHON HERBERT, did awesome job. As I have quickly come to expect from this company, he did a great job with keeping me informed before he got here and during his time here. Also, when I am at work, I cannot answer my phone, and I let him know this. He instead texted me when he had questions, as I had asked him to do. I appreciate it that he was respectful of my work restrictions and did not try to call me and potentially interrupt and important phone call or meeting. I also appreciated that he took a massive amount of pictures and video show me exactly what he was saying that he was concerned about, rather than just expecting me to take his word for it. And then he gave me the options as far as getting it taken care of. Once I picked my option, he got it done pretty quickly.Also, not related to the work at all, but I appreciate that he took a minute to pet and pay attention to my little Corgi dog. Whether its air conditioning repair, or a store clerk at Walmart, I think it says something when they are willing to take a second and pay attention to a family member they have no obligation to pay attention to (child, pet, etc). It was just a nice little touch, in my opinion. Very happy with the service provided!

Joseph and Shane provided excellent service. They replaced my old water heater with a brand new one, from top to bottom, in about two hours. Joseph informed me of all the available pricing options and afterwards they immediately got to work and even walked me through the process step by step. Elmer’s came through in a pinch when my 30 year old water heater began leaking from the bottom and needed to be replaced with haste. Big thanks to all the staff involved, from the ones who set the appointment, to the technicians who worked like lightning to get it done.

I’ve been in desperate need of working AC for over three years. After all the repairs and energy upgrades were done, I was ready to replace our grossly inefficient system.I started by getting estimates and was greeted by Michael Balderaz, a fellow Army for lifer and in general awesome dude. He gave solid information on what they offer, what I needed, and ways Elmer would help.I honestly felt bad, he was so thorough but we had to cut short our time (on my end) in the middle of our estimate. He offered to come back the next day and delivered on that promise by completing the estimate and even trying to call in favors to earn my business.I really would have liked to have them install, but a different company offered similar warranties and equipment with a steep undercut in price.I’m sure they’ll continue to do well out here as everyone needs AC in TX. If you’re looking for repair/install from people who are passionate about what they do, please give them a call!

Joseph Ruiz & ArnaldoWhere do I begin? I just recently moved into the home that I grew up in after separation. Starting over is never easy and there are always challenges. Coming home to water in the middle of your floor in your bedroom Due to a leak from the bathroom sink. All I could do was laugh,mop up the water and figure out how I could catch the water because a bucket not be able to fit in the space where the leak was. So I took a tall vase to catch the water. And I knew that I was going to call Elmer’s. How did I know, I was gonna call Elmer because the same week this leak happened I kept Seeing Elmer’s work trucks all over the city, no matter where I went. So I googled pulled up Elmer and as you know when you googled something Entities come up and if you’re frantic, you just call so I made an appointment with a company that I thought was Elmer’s Only to wake up at four or 5 o’clock in the morning to pay attention to confirmation text that I was Sent and recognize that it had a name that I thought oh well maybe this is the plumber that’s coming out, but it would not sit right with me. So I googled Elmer’s once again and paid very close attention to the number I was calling And once the young lady answered, the phone clearly asked is this Elmer’s and she said yes. Sharing with her the story that I booked an appointment with another company, but I had wanted Elmer’s! I scheduled an appointment with with her, letting her know that I had a family Funeral to go to, and if there was anyway they could get to me before I left. Trying to fit me into the schedule they stayed in constant contact with me throughout the day. I informed them that my neighbors had to help me turn off the water so I wasn’t so rushed as I was before thinking that when I came home from the funeral, I’d have a flood running through my house . When I tell you that I receive condolences from Elmer and his staff as well as the gentleman that came in Saturday morning. In a world of constant chaos due to transition and rebuilding. Who would’ve thought that I would receive such compassionate kind caring service and humanity from a plumbing company. Just like anything else and any other business your staff is a reflection of leadership Elmer. It is obvious to me that you are kind, Compassionate caring leader. Thank you it’s all I can say yet. Since working on pipe I asked about updating a 10+ year water heater. Having a crew to come out same day I called. Crew came out to trench 40 ft of pipe and replace the water heater all done approximately 4 hours, price affordable. I didnt feel as though I had to sell one of my children orbody limbs.🤣 I already scheduled bathroom plumbing work to be replaced. Huge Thank you to Joseph and Shane and the trenching crew.

We signed up with Elmers for annual HVAC maintenance right after they performed a thorough duct cleaning of our home. We were very pleased with the duct cleaning service. However, I cant say the same thing for routine HVAC service. We had our first routine HVAC maintenance service done around late spring. A follow up for a winter checkup was scheduled for today (16 Dec 2024). Received a call this morning telling me that they would not be able to make the appointment. What is the purpose of scheduling an appointment ahead of time if it cant be followed up on? I missed half a day of work to stay home for this appointment. I understand that winter is a busy time of the year for HVAC maintenance. It seems to me that our follow-up appointment was not a priority. Update: 19 Dec 2924 :Follow-up was great with Jackson. Great job

The fan on my AC was running constantly. Never shuts off. Emmanuel came out and found the relay on the control board for the fan motor was stuck and needed to be replaced. he also found some other things that were not up to code. Rather than fix it and bill me, he went the extra mile to look up the unit on the Goodman website and found it was still under warranty, including workmanship, from the old company that sold the system to me in 2018. He suggested I call them since they are still responsible.So he could have just sold me all these services and I wouldnt have known the difference. But he saved me a lot of money . And didnt charge me anything!

Joseph, Shane, and Arnaldo did an exemplary job of repairing our plumbing issues. We had them replace a shower faucet and on/off control, which they did. However, we also had an issue with sewer drainage. They were able to identify the problem and clear out the drain quickly and efficiently. They also found a leak with our water heater that is substantial and potentially a big problem. They called out a professional who advised us to submit a claim on our homeowner policy. Joseph, Shane, and Arnaldo replaced the water heater connections so that the leak is fixed. All of this was done for a very reasonable cost. We highly recommend Elmer’s and especially this hard working, highly competent crew.

They got right to work with running the sewage machine. They checked the progress running the camera through there. Joseph was not satisfied with the results. Granted, there was a lot of gunk and the water still that we could see through the camera. I appreciate him keeping me abreast of all he and Shane were doing through the process. Joseph recommended the jetter and explained the process as well. He got Arnaldo right over. Arnaldo was amazingly courteous and professional too. In all, Joseph, Shane and Arnaldo worked great as a team and got the job done. Joseph brought me back to the camera and I saw a huge difference. So, thank you for a plumbing job well done Elmer’s! (it being so late I was concerned the technician would do a rush job) but, our technician Jonathon was amazing and my concerns were pushed aside when he came in like time was not a factor and made sure he looked at everything. Amazing. Both AC’s out since yesterday afternoon. Elmer’s squeezed us in. Within 30 min David diagnosed and found the issues. Fixed and did a safety check etc, blew out my drain lines in o make sure all was clear now that the AC has to dry out all this humid air and bring the temp down from 82. David was also articulate and neat about the job. Hope he never has to come back but if I have an issue I’ll call for him. Thanks David for your technical dedication.

Update 11/15/24 - we’ve had our system and the care package for almost 2 years and could not be more satisfied. Nathan came out today for our regular maintenance and walked us through what we need, helped with recommendations to keep our system running longer, and got us set up with a much needed deep clean for our system. Everyone with interacted with has been fantastic, they’re always on time & super helpful, and the team continues to exceed expectations.Original: We are working with Elmer’s for our water softener purchase and installation. After doing our research, they’re the only company we could find that offers a 10-year no questions asked warranty (at an up charge, but it’s worth it). Their technicians are incredibly knowledgeable, honest, and genuine when discussing the products with you. The first tech that came out was able to gather a lot of information, but admitted that he didn’t yet know the full spectrum of what they could offer and set up a meeting with someone who did. I appreciate honesty like this because I know that it means the company values quality over an easy sale. When Daniel Meyer returned with a second tech the next day they were able to answer all of our questions, provide us with multiple offers that fit our needs, and help us understand the pros and cons of each to make the best decision for our home. There was not a single point where we felt pressured to buy an upgrade or spend more on bells & whistles, and throughout the process he built confidence with us, making it easy to choose their service. While they weren’t the cheapest option, they were better priced than most of the competitors, and we were impressed that they use a local company for the water softener so they not only understand the complexities of Texas hard water, but by choosing them we are able to support local business. After experiencing this level of service we will be working with Elmers for all of our AC and Plumbing preventative maintenance, and any other needs because they’re company we can trust.

We called out Elmer’s because we were having an issue with our AC. We’ve used other companies over the years, but mostly another local AC company. My wife wanted to call Elmer’s for a second opinion (she really liked Elmer’s commercial), so we did. I’m so glad we did. I’ve never had someone explain their diagnosis in such detail!Anthony (I can’t remember his last name) came out for the initial visit to identify the problem. Afterwards, he sketched out possibilities.Due to the multiple options we had to choose from, Anthony suggested sending out a tech to complete a thorough examination of the whole system. In came Michael Balderaz, who took his time and reviewed the entire system with us (pictures, video, etc.). Never have I had a tech be so thorough and patient, making sure you fully understand your particular system and the different ways to solve the problem!I highly recommend Elmer’s!

My second time using Elmers at my elderly Moms house for plumbing and they nailed it again....outstanding service! Her house has settled over the years to create a positive pitch which means the main sewer line under her foundation is no longer sloped towards the main sewer line in the street. As a result, debris get caught in areas of her sewer line which could backup and flood her bathrooms, sinks and tubs. The cost to repair this condition is extremely high and not affordable at this time so we proactively get Elmers to come out every 6 months to run their Elmer Cam up Moms sewer line to see how bad it is. Yesterday, we got outstanding service from Joseph Ruiz, Shane and Allen. These guys cleaned out secondary drain lines as well as the main sewer line in an extremely professional manner making sure to keep us informed the whole time they were there. I will continue to use this company for all my plumbing needs and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for plumbing help!

Our experience with Elmers really exceeded all expectations. We had been waiting for a part from a home warranty claim with another company for almost a month when we got tired of it and called Elmers instead. Michael came out and gave us some options, but with everything that we had going wrong, we decided a whole new system was the direction we wanted to go. They had great financing options and they came in the next day to do the install. The install team laid blankets down over everything so as not to damage our carpet. They started around 9am and everything was done by 6pm. We are so glad we called Elmers and would recommend them to anyone.

I echo the many great Google reviews here and glad I found Elmer’s when I recently had my Air Conditioner fail. Early next morning, with the mid-day summer heat looming, I called Elmer’s after finding many great reviews here. I was immediately seen by Manny that morning who presented my repair options, and to my surprise, he had repair techs ready to come out to my house a few minutes after his visit. Tyler and Jameson were also very professional and got the major installation job done that same day in my hot house. The next day, Jeremiah followed up at my home and provided QA of the work and answered my questions. Everybody, including the customer service and dispatch, were very professional and understanding of my loss of AC in the Texas summer heat….I would not hesitate to recommend Elmer’s among the many HVAC companies and wish I knew of them sooner. Chris Hudspeth who was the Comfort follow up guy after the initial evaluation by their technician Louis and he showed up on Friday, May 31 around 4 o’clock pm and we went over all my options and I felt very comfortable in deciding that I needed a new air conditioner. mine was a little over 20 years old. he explained how the air conditioner worked & answered all my questions but we also got to know each other prior to that. so I felt very Comfortable with him and at ease that he was being honest and truthful with the answers to my questions. When my friend showed up he went ahead and explained all the same things to him at my request And we both felt that it would be in my best interest to get a brand new air conditioner. I felt like he had my best interest at heart which is what Elmer’s policy is in all the reviews that I’ve read. Then on Monday, June 3 The office called and said that the technicians to install my air conditioner would be arriving at 9:30 and Carl and Shawn were very prompt & explained what they’re going to do & how long it was gonna take which was basically 10 to 12 hours. they came in with a good attitude & explained everything and went to work. I’m not even sure they took a lunch break! Finished early & showed me how to use the Thermometer box. Told me that the instructions for the air conditioner were up in the attic with the air conditioner. Told me the size of the filters and just had a positive attitude about everything. cleaned up their mess and again I felt very comfortable with them leaving. And again I got the best service I could possibly get and that Elmer’s really does care about their clients ! The air conditioner is working awesome! I’ve had several people call to check from Elmer’s to make sure that the air conditioner is working well and let me know if there’s anything they can do to make things better to let them know. I highly recommend Elmer’s!
