Greg and his apprentice Cody did an excellent job on fixing a drippy shower and investigating some other issues in our house. They were very informative and friendly and they didnt try to pressure us into purchasing additional services that we didnt necessarily need or want. I would highly recommend gray duck For anyone who is LGBTQ+. They are queer and women owned, and they are very friendly.

I’m so happy with everything that was done. I needed to replace some piping for waste water which also involved pulling out my dishwasher (which wasn’t an easy job!). I was treated very courteously and professionally. Weve used Gray Duck Plumbing a handful of times now. Tina and Dan are both super helpful!They didnt try up-selling us on anything, which was refreshing considering the number of contractors weve had in our house lately. Both Tina and Dan were patient with troubleshooting and finding solutions to some of the upgrades we need done.Ive never lived in a house with a boiler before, so Dan gave me a full rundown of how our boiler works and how to maintain it (and he cleaned out years of funky stuff that had accumulated).We have more plumbing projects and upgrades that we want done over time, and Im excited to employ a small local company to do it. From the quotes they gave me, I feel like the prices were reasonable and they werent trying to nickel and dime us. With all of the contractors weve been talking to lately, this was pretty refreshing to see.This is also the first plumbing company Ive seen thats openly part of the LGBTQ community. I actually found out about them through a local subreddit, and Im glad I looked into them!Plus Shelby was so nice each time I called, and also super patient with all of my questions. You guys rock!

I found Grey Duck last year at the Pride Festival and grabbed a business card. I had yet to buy a home but wanted to have a resource available for when I finally purchased one. The spigot in the backyard was broken and unusable as well as the front spigot with a split in the pipe. I called Grey Duck to have them come out for a quote and they were able to get me scheduled for an appointment asap. Greg came to my home promptly on time. He listened to what I needed fixed and proceeded to explain to me what he would do to solve my problem. While he was in my basement he smelled a faint scent of gas and started checking the pipes for leaks which he found. He gave me a reasonable quote for the work and offered to take care of it right away. He was fast, efficient, and kind. He wanted to make sure that I was happy before he left and explained exactly what he had done. Excellent service that I would recommend to anyone in need of plumbing services. 10/10 would absolutely use again and plan on it! Grey Duck is going to be my go-to for all my homes plumbing needs!

The best part about Dan at Gray Duck is how he takes the time to explain everything and give you options. Our clawfoot tub faucet malfunctioned a few days before houseguests were coming. What a great experience! Tina was incredibly helpful, very knowledgeable and creative. We utilized their Virtual Plumbing service which was such a great experience and a perfect way for us to get the extra help that we needed. We are doing our own DIY plumbing for a bathroom in our tiny Amish built log cabin and we needed some clarification on how to vent our shower and toilet. Given that it’s a tiny home, we have a unique set up where other plumbers wouldn’t even give us the time of day. Tina was able to see what we were trying to accomplish and guided us on what we needed to do. What’s great too is she also has experience with tiny homes as well!!!It worked seamlessly and is a great way to ask for help and get easy to use and quick guidance. We can’t recommend them and their services enough!!! They are going to be our go to plumbers from now on!

Tina is incredible! As a first time homeowner and a femme-presenting person, Ive struggled a lot to find honest repair workers in the past. Tina treated me as an equal and respected me--and thats to say nothing of her service which was wonderful! I hired her to hook up my new gas dryer and she went the extra mile to make it more accessible, check the gas lines, and even examine my water heater. She took extra time to teach me some plumbing tricks to help me take care of my old appliances as well. I really appreciated the respect Tina showed me and the quality of her work. These folks are wonderful to work with. We have a house built in 1885 with bathroom plumbing from 1960. They took the time to look over all the plumbing we were looking at fixing/updating (leaking pipe, lead toilet traps, lead drain pipes, old waterpipes, etc.) and gave us suggestions and estimates for the various parts/sections so we could decide what we did or didnt want to do. They did a great job on bathroom one, and we are looking forward to working with them on bathroom two!!

Dan came out to help me troubleshoot an issue with our bathroom plumbing, and while he was there he identified and fixed a gas leak that CenterPoint had missed when they were out to work on our furnace (the leak was *right next to* the part of the furnace they worked on). Im sure that made an extra-long day for him, and I really appreciated it! He was also very helpful and thorough in answering my laypersons questions about adding a second bathroom and doing some minor repairs myself. Highly recommend using Gray Duck--they are fantastic!

Dan and Tina are absolutely amazing. I own a 130 year old home in St Paul and that comes with a lot of maintenance. We found Greyduck right when we moved and feel so lucky to have them to help us with issues as they arise. They’ve helped convert our clawfoot tub to a shower and we had them out to teach us how to maintain our 100+ year old boiler. They’ve been so informative and focused on teaching us how to care for our home.On top of all of that, they are competitively priced!!

We called them on a whim a month ago to help with a simple tub spout problem and had a wonderful experience with them. A month later the community stack leading to sewer piping was clogged and backing up into our apartments. I reached out to Grey Duck again because our last experience was so good and again they were incredibly responsive and helpful getting this disastrous situation under control! They checked in before doing any other work that wasnt in the original estimate, did efficient and clean work, and were incredibly kind and communicative. Tina is seriously the MVP of the game. I have been going through it this year with my plumbing - boiler issues, a new gas line needed in a weird as heck crawl space that no human should have to enter, and a checked out toilet. I came to Tina feeling like an idiot after a bad experience with another plumbing company in town. Besides providing quick and skilled solutions to all of the repairs, Tina talked to me like a person. This means so much to me as a homeowner with a weird old house. Gray Duck Plumbing is responsive, personable, professional, and worth the investment.I bought a house and while working from home my office kind of smelled funky. I finally called about it and Tina found leaks and the old lines were so brittle. I decided to have Gray Duck run new lines and put in shut-off valves for each of the appliances. The work was done quickly and I was able to keep working in my office while the lines were installed. I havent had any issues since and now I feel so much safer in my home.

We recently moved into a home that needed a lot of updating and repair. Id heard good things about Gray Duck Plumbing from a friend and tried them out. Dan was great. He installed 2 new toilets, a new water heater and new water softener - all at a very reasonable price. When he asked if there was anything else needed I mentioned the kitchen faucet wasnt working well and that the sump pump might need repair because thered been water in the basement. He fixed both. He seems to take real pride in his work and showed me exactly what hed done and why and told me how to maintain the new things. Even though his prices were good, he gave me options for things that could be fixed if I couldnt afford to replace them. I wanted new (especially the toilets) but I appreciated his concern for my budget.

I opted for the most aggressive option and Tina and Dan came out and did the work with care and quality. He explained to me what could be the issues and how to handle them, treating this as an educational experience which I greatly appreciated. As a young homeowner I appreciate that Dan is willing to teach me basic skills for takimf care of the things in my home. For this specific issue, I was given quotes for multiple options of what to do and we ended up removing the garbage disposal instead of replacing it.
