Avalon replaced an approximately 75 foot off-street sewer lateral from my house to the City sewer line. The crew was very hardworking and efficient, completing the job in three days and getting the necessary certification from Berkeley Public Works. Trenching had to be done by hand, avoiding several utility lines to a neighboring house. Cleanup was excellent.

Avalon plumbing recently replaced our 75 year old, 45 foot long sewer lateral line. I highly recommend Avalon! Their bid was many thousands of dollars less than Roto Rooter, and the service was top notch. They were extremely timely and did everything they promised from the bidding process through completion of the project. The connection to the mainline is on our neighbors property which complicated the job. Avalons owner was there every day to make sure the job was going smoothly. We were able to use the pipe bursting method as opposed to having to trench the entire job. None the less, the holes at either end were deep and they had to cut and patch our concrete walkway. The patch was excellent! They matched our aggregate. I so appreciate this attention to detail. Roto Rooter was going to patch without the aggregate which would have looked terrible. Additionally, they were very quick! They lined up all the permitting and the whole big job was done in just a few days. After each day, they cleaned up and hosed off the concrete. I can honestly say they left our place cleaner than it was when they arrived. In the last couple of years we have had several contractors here. Avalon surpassed the rest in terms of professionalism, communication, keeping promises, and cleanup/attention to detail. They were friendly and just great to work with. I cant recommend them more highly.

Had over a dozen plumbers come out to inspect my main sewer drain as I was having clogging issues for years. Will showed up, performed an inspection to find the pipe had partially collapsed and roots had started to intrude. After speaking with him about our options, we decided to do a trenchless replacement from our clean out at the front of the house, down to the main connection in the street. Avalon was super communicative with planning, costs and potential issues. Took me many months to find these guys and I wouldnt hesitate to call them back for additional work.I also wanted to add that I was experiencing some issues with my hot water heater at the same time they were on site doing my sewer replacement. Will was able to take a look at the water heater and provide some good advice on what I should do. I had my water heater warranty swapped as it had a failed component. Thanks Will!!!

Two things really stood out for me: They practiced social distancing/masking/cleaning excellently, and they explained all the options very clearly. I definitely recommend them!

Excellent service but more importantly Jonathan really took care of me. He treated me like I was part of his family. They were fully booked but found it in their heart to go out of their way to make it to me in the same day. They charged me less than half of what another plumber charged me and the other plumber did less than what Jonathan did. Overall he’s the plumber I’ve been looking for, and they now have a lifetime client.

Will and Avalon were fantastic to work with. Our older hot water heater went out on a Thursday and Avalon was able to book us for a replacement the next day. Will responded promptly, and took time on the phone to discuss the options and in the end I decided to replace the heater with a new one rather than try to fix this older one, which had already been having problems for a few months now. The quote was reasonable, and the installation went of without a hitch. An all around pleasure to work with. Thanks!

However, the person at the front desk, Regina, was extremely responsive once they realized there was an issue. They followed all city of Berkeley permitting requirements, and overall Im very satisfied with the service. Would recommend.

When my water heater suddenly went out on me, I was able to call on Will with Avalon Services. We were in kind of a pinch with budget constraints, but he was able to find a solution to help us out. Not only did he replace our old water heater for us, but he also brought the piping up to modern code as well.Possibly one of the best plumbing services I have ever worked with.

I was super impressed with Avalon’s work to solve a tough problem for me. I was building an ADU and discovered that I couldn’t just connect the plumbing for it to my house system, that I needed to build a whole separate sewer connection. This required all the usual things plus a new sewer line to go under an existing driveway that was quite long. Avalon solved this for me without me having to tear up and replace my entire driveway. They figured out a good solution and got the whole thing done in only two days. Not only are they great at what they do, they estimated the job accurately, and were fun to work with. Amazing!

Avalon Services is our go-to company for all plumbing related issues. Will and his crew came through for us when our water main broke recently and he has also worked on our water heater and external hose bib in the past.We called them frantically in the morning and they were out the same afternoon to determine what the problem was. Within 24hours they had us back up and running! They had to dig about 120 feet of trench (through poison oak and underbrush on a hillside) from the meter to the house and suggested adding a spigot at the halfway point in the line to make it easier for us to water the garden.Thanks again, Avalon! Will and his team did an excellent job replacing the ~100 year old, ~100ft long sewer line at our home. The project was quite large, requiring permitting with the city and digging into the street. Will pulled all the needed permits, worked through all the inspections and did a good job keeping the street open for the neighbors during the project. The pipe replacement work was top notch quality, they pressure tested all the replaced pipes and did nice concrete work over the areas that had to be trenched. The line replacement comes with a 10 year warranty too!

With (4) kids ages 5 and under we experience many of these scenarios with toys/items going down without us looking. This time around has been quite a lot of work to figure out. Avalon has been patiently and consistently working through the jam in our line. They used great technology by sticking a camera down to show me in real time whats going on. They went above and beyond to get into my crawl space to ensure what the pathway of piping looked like so that way the resolution was thoroughly examined before opening things up. 5 stars all around! I contact Avalon Services when our tankless water heater went out, leaving us without a shower. I sent video and pictures to explain our problem and Will was on it. He was on time, cleaned up after he was done, obeyed all the Covid protocols and the estimate he gave me was spot on.We had another local company (Petaluma) come in and quote us a crazy amount of money and Will did for a really reasonable rate and his honesty was refreshing.In the end, we had the tankless water heater replaced, all the plumbing was brought up to code and we opted to have our regular water heater replaced too. The work was completed in 1 day and I could not be happier with the work and Wills talent as a plumber.He even gave me pointers on taking care of the regular water heater, who knew you should drain it even 3 years and clear out the muck.Thank you Will so much!
