    We had an outdoor outlet that needed to be replaced. Helping Hands gave me a few ideas on troubleshooting while on the phone. We could schedule an appointment for the next week when those were exhausted. There was email and text confirmation. The day came, and we had a two-hour window for the electrician to arrive. When he didnt come in that window, I called to inquire if he was running late. I was told a job was taking longer and because it was approaching the end of the day they wouldnt be able to get to us that day. I was disappointed since we had planned around that appointment. A few minutes after our call, I received a text and phone call saying they could make it work and were on their way. I totally understand jobs go longer and things dont go as planned, and I appreciate the time it took to make it happen. The only thing that could have been better was communication about this before I called. Our electrician was fast and awesome! We would definitely use Helping Hands again!

    Great experience from start to finish. I contacted the company via their website after reading really great reviews for them online and I requested that someone contact me. I received a call from the company dispatcher first thing the next morning and one of their electricians, Pete, was out the next day to review the work I needed them to do, provide an estimate, and complete the work the same day for a reasonable price. I was given three options with varying price points, and after reviewing and choosing the best option based on recommendations from Pete, the work began right away and was finished within a couple of hours. I am incredibly pleased with the work that was done and I wouldn’t think twice about choosing them again and to recommend them to others.

    Mark was fantastic! We had multiple light fixture changes and correcting a 2 way switch issue. He was very nice, extremely professional and explained the estimate and work that would be completed. Did a fantastic job on replacing outside lighting and centering them even though original work was off-center. He cleaned up when completed. We highly recommend Helping Hands Electric and will call them again for any electrical needs.

    Mark did a great job of installing the power outlet and a level 2 EV charger in our garage. Arrived right when he said he would, talked me through everything he was going to do and pricing, and did the job professionally and neatly. The circuit in the fusebox looks great and the outlet and charger in the garage are perfect. I would hire these guys in a second for the next job I have. Thanks Helping Hands!

    So happy that I called Helping Hands Electric. Mark our electrician was wonderful to work with. We had 3 other companies who could not do what Mark did. He gave us some electrical outlets where we wanted them. He went over and above to make it happen. I would recommend this company, he was neat, clean and efficient and reasonable in price!

    Helping Hands Electric installed a new outlet for us to be able to charge our Tesla. Jacob was the electrician who did the work and we cannot say enough good things about him - very friendly, helpful, and efficient.     Jacob was awesome. He was on time. he asked me a few questions. He pointed out to me what he thought he problem was he fixed it he asked was there any additional things that I needed to have worked on?     Ader from Helping Hands was very knowledgeable and professional. He gave me expert advice for the installation of a generator along with several estimates based on my needs. Helping Hands made all the coordination with local utilities to survey the ground wires along with a plumber to run the gas line. Overall, it was a seamless process, and he finished the job by my preferred date.

    We were visiting my mother in law in Madison (81) and while there, an electical circuit went out and we could not figure it out. I sent my mother in law and son out to lunch and decided to call Helping Hands to see if we could get help that day. I could not believe that within 2 hours they had a tech at her house. I explained the issue and that my mother in law is a bit unreasonable, but they reassured me they would handle everything with care and understanding. Jake was great with her, explaining the problem, what was required to potentially fix the issue and the price. Due to our own plans we could not have anyone there for them to fix it that Friday afternoon, but they were able to get her on the schedule right away Monday morning!!! My mother in law was so impressed with Pete, she called me asking how I found these guys, and they were Amazing! - my mother in law never says that. Ever. If I could give Helping Hands 10 stars, I would. Thank you for handling a situation that normally would send my mother in law into a spiral, and making it the most positive service experience she has had in years!! Thank you!!

    I probably have a few other reviews up if you scroll, but I stand by my reviews. Every type of project from major to minor; installing a new box , mast and ground, to installing outlets or new exterior lights and cameras. Most recently, it was removing old (and dangerous) baseboard heaters with some really complicated wiring on an old addition. They have always exceeded expectations.Prices are fair, they give me options for the projects in various price ranges, give good advice, they are prompt and efficient, their technicians are super knowledgeable (shout out Peter and Jacob), and Id guess that about 45% of my 1950s home electrical has been redone by Helping Hands.It was the first contractor that we used when we moved here and bought a house. They were a fairly new company back then. We grew as a family and they grew as a company. They earned my trust then, and they continue to have it now.Cheers and keep up the good work!

    Small operation that provides great and very timely service. They have at times saved me money on simple issues by telling me how I could resolve things myself, if I desired. Recently I just needed some parts replaced (no actual electrical work done) and they told me what to order if I just wanted to do it myself, which I did. I also recently needed a simple junction box issue fixed, they told me what I would need to do to solve it myself, and then also quoted what it would cost them to fix it. On that one I chose to go with them as it involved working with the wires. The electrician was also able to reassure me that the quality of the work that was done prior in that box by another company was done properly, which gave me peace of mind (we have an older home). Highly recommend.

    The quality of work this company does is second to none. Yes, they are professional. Yes, they are knowledgable. Yes, they are punctual.     Helping Hands should be your first call, always! I want to start with the most important piece of feedback which was the electrician who was assigned to us: Mark Mook. What a kind, knowledgeable, efficient, patient, and caring person! He is the exact electrician expert that you would hope comes to your home to work on your projects! The detail he put into installing our three features throughout our home was so wonderful. He even pointed out small areas, like, “if you want me to fill in this 1/16th gap here, I can or bring it forward” which just speaks to the level of care this company takes on their projects. Once he was finished with that second light fixture, before moving onto the third, I even saw him wiping little spots on the wall which I didn’t even see. Truly Grade A++ Quality of work, care, cleanliness, attention to detail, and so much more!The second part of the review is something others might take for granted but as a female who was home alone, I really appreciated. Before my appointment, about an hour or two beforehand, I received a text message informing me that my electrician was on their way and a photo of the electrician so I knew who to expect. This prepared me to know that the person who arrived and ultimately that I was welcoming into my home was truly the person from Helping Hands. It might seem small but you hear horror stories about situations where people knock on your door claiming to be someone they are not or the senior population getting taken advantage of in scams and I kept thinking how nice this was. Another level of detail that Helping Hands provides that you just don’t otherwise receive from other companies!Lastly, the quality of work is exception and super reasonably priced! There’s no surprises or gimmicks. I loved the concept of how you walk through what you need to have done > they assess > they provide you with what the expected amount is and if you agree, you move forward with the work. If not, it’s a super low service fee and that’s it! I love the business model and the forwardness of it. There’s no hidden agenda, surprises, or fees.

    Extremely satisfied with the quality of work and professionalism, from my original phone inquiry to them, to their follow up regarding my satisfaction after the work was completed. Excellent service model where they allow time to actually do the work at the actual time of providing an estimate, if you choose to go ahead with them, which allowed us to have work done weeks ahead of what other electricians quoted and at competitive prices. They are also Tesla certified, so can install Tesla wall chargers in full compliance with Tesla requirements. I definitely recommend them and would use them again.

    Ive used helping hands twice for our house built in the 1950s. Once for a major electrical upgrade and the second time to get to some wiring that became an issue that I chose not to take care of the first time they worked on the house. Both times they worked on the house they were professional, they acted liked they cared about my house and the work they were doing, and their rates were reasonable compared to other electrical companies in the area. I would choose Helping Hands again and again, and would choose them if they offered services in other building trades too.

    Jacob was our technician and he was excellent. He came out to fix a non working outside light fixture. We have an older house and it turned out challenging to find out the electrical problem. He ultimately figured it out and on top of it he installed a Ring Cam. He was so persistent and spent a lot of time on our project until it was finally done. The charges were very fair and we were very satisfied. As he spent so much time at our place we felt bad if he couldn’t make it to other customers that afternoon.     Helping Hands performed a full replacement of the knob and tube wiring in my 100 year old home over the course of roughly a week.They did an excellent job. They provided many options for the project and worked with me to pick and choose the scope of work from among those options. Their bid was competitive compared to other electricians and they were able to fit into a challenging timeline between other work in my home happening around the same time. They were also very responsive to my initial request and questions prior to the start of work.I work from home and required active power to my workstation throughout the installation process. While this presented an extra challenge to the installers, they were happy to oblige my request and didnt have to turn power off to my workstation throughout the entire process.The installers were friendly and very professional. They answered my many questions throughout the entire installation process and worked with me to make adjustments to how the existing switches and outlets were setup and where the wiring was run so that they created as few access holes as possible. Additionally, they mounted all new light fixtures and ceiling fans that I purchased after the wiring work was done.They even presented me with an extra option near the end of the work as to whether or not to replace the wiring in my kitchen, which I had assumed was also knob and tube but was a more modern type of wiring due to a remodel that the previous homeowners had done. Since this wiring is safe, was in good condition, and I intend to remodel the kitchen in the future I took them up on the option to skip this area and deal with it later. This ended up saving me several thousand dollars off the original quote.All things considered, I am very pleased with the work performed, the overall price, the timing and duration of the work, and the overall professionalism of Helping Hands. Ill absolutely work with them again for future electrical work that I need in my home!

The installation was flawless and the end product looks great. They used low-profile, color adjustable can lights on a dimmer switch and now a previously dark space has come to life! I know businesses have to cover the cost of overhead, but $100/hour seems a little steep. I also asked for an estimate to install Cat6 through the house.     Tip to DIY homeowners: don’t play with electricity at 4:30pm on a Friday, because if you lose power, you may not find any electrician with weekend availability. And that’s exactly what happened to me. Of the ~20 electricians I called and left messages for during the weekend, only two returned my call on Monday, and Helping Hands was one of them and could get someone here the quickest (within about 24 hours). The whole process was great - the receptionist, Amanda, who I spoke with was super nice and accommodating, and Jake Partoll, the electrician, was so knowledgeable. He pointed out the rookie mistake I made when I wired a new outlet in my kitchen, and ended up replacing it with one that was up to code (GFCI) and grounding it. He had so much great advice and was just a pleasant person all around. He was also very careful when accessing my painted-over breaker box panel and didn’t peel or ruin any of the paint. 10/10 I would hire this company again if I ever need electrical work done in the future.     Electricians were excellent! Extremely professional and completed a very clean wiring installation. My electric car charger looks and works great. Ader took the time to walk me through everything they planned to do, showed me how they completed the items I was concerned about, and went through the items on the invoicing with me.     Helping Hands installed a Tesla Wall Charger. They responded to my quote request timely and scheduled the estimate appointment over voicemail which sped up the process since we werent available at the same times for a few days in a row. They showed up on time and finished earlier than they estimated. Everything was installed properly and works great. They even handled permits, etc. so I didnt need to do any paperwork after they were finished!

    So hard to find a good residential electrician, and Helping Hands is just that. Pricing up front, no surprises. High quality work, including some minor upgrades to the estimate at no charge. Reasonable prices (I mean, it’s not cheap, but electrical work never is) and excellent communication. I had a ton of small projects and they did them all, quickly and efficiently. Recommend highly!

    We originally were looking for an electrician who was well versed in installing Tesla car wall chargers. Helping Hands came highly recommended so we called them to do the work. It was a large project that involved upgrading us from 100 amp to 200 amp service. Everything was done above our expectations - not something you can usually say these days. Even the area where our circuit box is located looked much better and more organized after they were finished. Probably the best way to describe how much we liked their work was that we had them back to do thousands more in electrical work around our home. We had light fixtures replaced in many rooms, our kitchen changed from a central ceiling fixture to multiple recessed lights, track lights replaced with recessed lighting, outlets and switches replaced, security cameras with lights installed outside, and many more electrical projects to numerous to list. The next time we need electrical work, we’ll definitely be calling them again. Very professional, quality work every time!

    Reps were very friendly and well mannered. Wanted to hook up a new lantern on a post lamp near the entrance to our driveway. Lantern worked for a few days and then began to trip circuit breaker. They came back next day to trouble shoot (no charge) and after an hour or so determined that voltage to the lamp post was low. Now will have a new electrical line installed in a couple of weeks.

    We had a problem with a circuit breaker tripping after some roof work was done. We found helping hands on yelp and they came highly recommended. They were able to come out the next morning, and Ader was great. He knew what he was doing and found the problem which actually necessitated running a new wire to bypass the shorted circuit--somewhat involved. But he had it resolved within just a couple of hours, good as new and at a reasonable price. I could not have been more satisfied!
