Travis and his crew at Design Electric of Madison did a fantastic job with our whole house remodel. We got rid of our natural gas and upgraded our house to a 320 amp system. Design Electric of Madison set us up for success as we phase into energy independence. Having thought out conversations with Travis allowed us to plan for our EV car charger, solar panels & battery storage, induction range, heat pump, heat pump water heater, and countless more climate smart upgrades. Highly recommend this Company they do good work at reasonable rates and are a pleasure to deal with. RJ was great and helped us with his professional opinion too, these guys cleaned up great after themselves and were polite. Installed new Ceiling Fans in just about every room for us including a Closet and Porch.

We used Design Electric for our complete kitchen remodel after being introduced to the company when we had AC installed. Great experience and customer service. RJ was incredibly helpful with the design and planning, making sure we thought through layout and functionality of outlets and lighting options. Joe did great work installing and accommodating our preferences, and proactively suggested a small but valuable addition. Reasonable rates, quality work, great communication. Well definitely look to use Design Electric for future projects.

We had some knob and tube that needed removed, as well as several other things that needed corrected. RJ was great at managing the project - communicative and efficient. Joe came in and did the work today and was also great communicating, letting me know my options and how everything was done. We are grateful they got us on their schedule in a timely manner and were thrilled to have the work finished. I was very impressed with the way everything was done and we will definitely be contacting Design Electric for any future electrical needs.

I had neglected to replace 3 smoke and carbon dioxide alarms that were long past their expected lives. One began chirping. After YouTube reviews, I bought and installed a new unit with new battery. Then the other units chirped. When I called, Travis talked with me about things I might try before we concluded that I needed to replace all 3 units. I mentioned that I would turn off the power to the units until that happened. He was concerned. No smoke alarms? Not safe. He dropped off the new units at my house on the same morning and routed a busy electrician in the nearby area to install them. All is well now. That is excellent service.

This is a great group of electricians. Travis is phenomenal with lighting design and has an extensive knowledge of lighting and electrical products. Ive also worked with them for electrical service upgrades and knob and tube replacement. Their technicians have always been efficient, professional and clean up. I couldnt be happier and have referred them to many people.

Couldnt be happier! This is a friendly, professional, no-nonsense outfit. I asked them to do some extensive rewiring throughout our house, and they really nailed it. Their price was far and away the lowest of the three bids I got, and even after adding a few extras they still came in under budget.I used to be a contractor so Ive worked with all kinds, but Im really impressed with RJ and his team. I recommend them highly and Ill be calling them for the next project.

The Design Electric team installed a 90 amp sub-panel in our garage, including installation of three new GFI outlets. They informed us of several options, including the 90 amp service, in case we were considering investing in electric vehicles in the future. They were very professional, friendly and the work they performed was top notch. We cant say enough about how happy we are with the service provided by Design Electric.

My wife and I had several electricians bid our basement remodel, we felt that Design Electric was the only company that actually did design work. We were asked questions like What will be in this space? and What do sort of material are you using in this space? as opposed to someone coming in an bidding 12 cans in the ceiling. Travis is clearly passionate about lighting, way more than a normal human being should be. He was awesome to work with. His crew showed up on time and was very professional. Terry is a great electrician and very courteous. We found the pricing to be very competitive.
