I have had numerous experiences with Mr. Electric. All of them have been positive. Electricians and support staff are courteous, well-trained, and respectful. Each works with diligence and focus. Work is completed efficiently, ensuring I am involved when my input is needed. Zach worked by himself for several hours installing GFI receptacles and dual smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Trey and Jesse came later, helping to trace circuits and assist with tasks. The job was complex, as my house has 4 floors. There was no wasted time. It was a long day. I am completely satisfied with my experience today. Mr. Electric is the standard in competence and top-notch customer service!

Today we hired Mr. Electric to fix some electrical issues in a kitchen remodel, install a range outlet, and install recessed lighting (4 lights). When we scheduled, the company answered the phone when we called, was available to come out the next day, and arrived right within the service window. Our electrician was Ryan Swafford. He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and kind enough to answer our questions. He gave us a fair pricing and even did the additional jobs we wanted done (recessed lights). He cleaned up his work when finished, had all the required tools, and overall, did a fantastic job. Very pleased. Thank you for all the help!

They do good work, but oh my god they are expensive! I called them out because of a burning electric smell. It was just a loose wire that was an easy fix. So I asked them how much it would be to replace a light switch (I already had the switch). They said $475! This is a photo of the switch. I ended up having them run two new lines to the kitchen, plus fix the switch. Total was $2200. Four hours into the job, he said, I should have finished this two hours ago. It took an additional 2 hours (total of 6 hours). The work is excellent but they quoted $2200 for what they thought was two hours worth of work. Ill go ahead and give them 5 stars for the quality of work, but watch the price!

This was the second job that I used Mr Electric for. I specifically asked for Jeremiah because I liked him and how he worked. He specifically wanted to do what I wanted and he was so friendly, helpful and kind. He couldn’t come back today to finish the job but he brought Travis to show him what he needed to do to finish up. I like Travis too. He was quick but thorough. He wanted his measurements to be as accurate as possible. He also was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I was amazed that he had been doing the job for many years. So, I have more projects to do and I will be asking for Jeremiah or Travis to do them. Thank you guys for taking care of me and helping me out with my projects. I look forward to seeing you both again soon! ☺️

We reached out to Mr. Electric after we purchased our hot tub. We needed power run to the hot tub in advance of expected freezing temps that were just 3-4 days out. They sent Jacob out to our house the very next day. We were concerned about how the wiring might look aesthetically running along our deck, and I shared a couple of our “least ugly” ideas with Jacob. He spent some time looking around and giving the project some deliberate thought, then he proposed a solution that we had not considered—and that we loved. He worked up a quote on the spot, I signed the work order, and his team went out that night and purchased all the necessary materials. Early the next morning, Jacob returned with a co-worker, Tim, and they knocked out the entire project in near-freezing temps. They were wonderful, had awesome attitudes, and took tremendous pride in their work—including how the finished product looked. When they were finished, there wasn’t a wire visible anywhere! And we didn’t think that would be feasible before we called Mr. Electric. The next time we have a need for an electrician, Jacob and Mr. Electric will be my first call (I literally added their number to my iPhone contacts)!

Soooo.... when you have a LARGE house, built in 1915, it seems you may have a REALLY hard time finding an electrician to do the jobs that count ... you know, the hard ones, the ones that take skill and time! Thank the universe we found MR ELECTRIC OF KNOXVILLE! We had an estimate and a date of service within a few days of reaching out. Then... to our surprise... they actually came out on the day of service and did the job! The guys were friendly, respectful, thorough, skilled and professional! Really couldnt have asked for more! The safety check was nice but the crew refused to do the work until the upscale was done. And the work that was done was extremely expensive. Installed two new breakers and removed a 10’ piece of wire in panel that had been abandoned. Very expensive

Chris was professional from our first encounter and throughout the process. He quoted the job of installing bistro lighting, an outdoor light fixture, and outdoor outlets. Our home is on a slab, so a lot of work and expertise was required to complete the job correctly and with attention to aesthetics. We are very pleased with the outcome and plan on having additional work done soon. We highly recommend Chris and his assistant who worked with him that day. He is personable and hard working - a pleasure to have in your home. The total cost of the job was $1730 and was worth every penny.

My utility company came to my property and informed me my power meter socket was causing my household electricity to cut in and out. They cut my power and said that I needed an electrician to get it fixed ASAP.After calling 6-7 local companies, Mr. Electric was the only one who was took the effort to carve out room in their busy day to come help me at a very short notice.The electrician, David, who was very friendly, arrived right on time and inspected the meter according to the information I had provided. He saw the blatant issue with my meter box, drove to morristown and back the same day to retrieve a necessary part, and installed it.However, after speaking with my utility company on the phone next to David, we realized the issue he had seen and spent a considerable time fixing was not the one the utility company diagnosed and told me to fix. David quickly outlined a plan on how to fix the REAL issue and refunded me the entirety of the cost for the necessary fix he had initially done.While I cannot yet comment on the electrical work performed by Mr. Electric, I am extremely impressed with their professionalism and commitment to happy, satisfied customers. I would definitely would recommend them, especially David!

One night, our house had an awful problem with the fire alarms going off every 15 minutes starting at 4am. After changing all the batteries in every alarm we were unable to stop the constant ringing. They charged a very reasonable price for the service and finished quickly. Overall a great first electrician experience for my wife and I who are new homeowners. Our electrician was Darrin Jones and he went above and beyond expectations for us. He did a very thorough look over of my house to do the quote that was for free and then was able to work with me on a affordable cost for the work we wanted done. He was able to come back in and he stayed for just about 12 hours on his Friday to finish the job in one day! Everything looked and worked great from what he did. The small details of his work is really what made the difference to me and my wife along with the trust and communication of having him be there in our home without us and giving me picture updates throughout the day. If you’re looking for a great electrician, get Mr. Electric and ask for Darrin Jones!

I hired Mr. Electric to completely rewire my home in Knoxville. My house was built in 1948 and unfortunately turned out to have quite a few challenges which required a 3-day job to become a 7-day job. Despite the fact that they had to spend more than double the amount of time, Mr. Electric honored their original quote to me, and did not charge me even one cent more. Furthermore, I was consistently impressed by the fact that they showed up on time and worked hard each and every day to get the job done with a high degree of excellence. In particular, I want to acknowledge Chris whose dedication and hard work is a reflection of Mr. Electric’s professionalism. I had an issue with an oven that had stopped working. Upon inspection, the problem was an improper wiring job performed several years ago by the provider who installed the appliance. The result was a fried junction box. Mr. Electric performed a complete power delivery circuit renovation and electrical fire protection safety system upgrade. Chris, James, and Lee were very professional and respectful while in my home. James and Lee were timely with the repair and did a great job in explaining what they were doing. I was very pleased with their work and would highly recommend them.

So, when I called of course they stated they would call me back for scheduling. I waited no phone call in over week turns out they had the number wrong. In all honesty Im 100% sure I gave them my number come to think of it which wasn’t a big deal because the response time of them getting a tech out here was incredibly fast! They respected the fact that time was of essence . I work from home and so the two techs that came the day of installation were incredibly and extremely respectful and very quiet. The price I paid for was worth every penny will definitely use them again!

A freak windstorm at the end of July 2019 resulted in a huge tree toppling to the ground and in the process, yanking the electrical service from the house and damaging the siding in the process of the destruction. The power company restored the service as a temporary solution, effectively applying a bandaid and recommended that the power service be relocated. Due to the age of the house (40+ years), in order to relocate the service, it was necessary to bring the service up to current local code. This necessitated installing a new circuit breaker box, arc fault/ground fault circuits and installing a weatherhead/riser on the house exterior along with a new power meter. The electrician, Darrin Jones, was very knowledgeable and professional, answering questions in laymen terms and describing each task as the process evolved. With the exception of the local power company responding in a timely manner to dropping the new lines, the whole process was smooth as butter and educational to me as the home owner. Darrins WOW service went beyond the scope of the job as I now have an electrical outlet located next to my gas dryer rather than stretching the cord to the nearest electrical outlet across the room. I wouldnt hesitate recommending Mr. Electric to anyone, regardless of the complexity of the work. All communications, email and telephonic, were answered in a timely and professional manner. The city inspector raved highly at the quality of the workmanship, making the process run that much smoother. Thanks, Mr. Electric!!

We do free estimates ...there was an emphasis on the We, which confirmed for me that he not only took strong personal pride in his physical work and customer service, but was also proud to be a part of the company that he works for. That only happens when the rest of the company does and feels the same. In depth knowledge and amazing ability to teach the basics to the electrically incompetent. If ever I need electrical work done in east Tennessee, I will only be calling one place.
