My brother recommended I use AB May’s home warranty plan so I signed up. I couldn’t be more happy with the service. I signed up a few weeks ago and right before the big storm my heat went out. I called and the lady who took my call was beyond nice and helpful and was able to get me scheduled for the next day. My heat came back on so I told them to prioritize others without heat before me. They came today and my technician found the issue within 5 minutes. He went and got the part and had my system fixed within a few hours and was very through with any questions I had. I am so glad I signed up for their service plan and it is such a relief knowing I have a company who is fast, knowledgeable, and reliable. Came home on new years day to find water gushing out of our water heater and basement flooding. Juan arrived within 2 hours on a holiday and found a temporary resolution that stopped the flooding and still allowed us to having hot water.Juan returned the next morning and our new water heater was installed less then 18 hours from the time I initially called.Amazing.

Gabe arrived promptly at 8:30 a.m. as scheduled. He and his work partner done a complete furnace and air conditioning replacement. They both were very knowledgeable. They cleaned up and disposed of old equipment. I was amazed that they completed the job by 1:45 p.m. since we were told that it would take till 3 or 4 in the afternoon. What an amazing group of staff that A B May has working for them Phil the salesman was so nice and explained everything to us. Our sewer line backed up on Christmas day. Our experience with A.B. May was great from being to end. The person I talked to in the call center was helpful and personable (I’m sorry I don’t remember his name). The technician, Ebony M. provided excellent service. Not only was she knowledgeable and skilled, she was also personable. Though it was Christmas, the service was very timely. We are grateful and pleased!

Derrick Whittle is the best plumber in Kansas City. He saved our (could have been) disastrous Christmas. The cousins got too rowdy in our unfinished basement and broke the main waterline into our home. Water was pouring into our basement with the power of a fire hose.Calling the city over and over to shut our water off was impossible. They informed us that there was one crew that could dig up our street and they were “busy.” This resulted us bailing water until A.B. May called and said that a tech was on the way. I wasn’t sure if they would be able to do anything since our water wasn’t shut off, but Derrick showed up anyway to see if he could help.Derrick Whittle was cool as cucumber as he assessed the emergency. He took action immediately and wasn’t afraid to tackle the situation. He worked his plumbing Christmas miracle so meticulously and quickly. Manny Flores was the plumber that A.B. May sent to work on a leaky bathtub fixture in our home. He was here on the same day we called. There was a part that needed to be ordered and the follow up service call was also scheduled promptly and Manny was here right on time. Our leak was fixed in a timely manner for which I’m truly thankful-with family coming in from out of town for the holidays the last thing I need is to be short on bathrooms.We’ve done business with A.B. May for the last 7 years and have always been satisfied with the quality of their work. All of their service people are polite, careful of our property, and explain everything fully. My main water line was leaking and I called AB May to locate the leak and repair/replace it. Kale from ABMay arrived and began locating the leak. We ended up replacing the water line and Kale did a great job excavating in an efficient manner and rerouting the line inside the house. His plumbing work was 1st rate and I recommend him for any future work.

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Joe Taylor is in my opinion, one of the finest technicians that you have. Courteous, worked clean, didnt cut corners. Had an emergency with a14 year old water heater and Joe didnt try to upsell. He told me all the different options for repair and I decided that it was time to change out. No pressure service, arrive the day before a holiday and stayed late to be sure the job was done right. An employee like that will make me want to keep coming back to you for all my future needs.

We called AB May for a leak coming through our basement ceiling. We have an older home so we were worried that it was going to be catastrophic. AB May sent out Amber as a plumbing technician. She was able to quickly diagnose the issue was coming from our bathtub pipes above. She came back the next day and replaced the old pipes and shower fixtures. She was extremely meticulous in her work and everything came out beautifully. She was very helpful and knowledgeable. Her communication throughout the job was excellent. AB May is extremely lucky to have such a talented and kind plumbing technician. 5 Stars for Amber!!

Had two plumbers come out to look at clogged sink. First one showed up, looked around, said his company doesn’t let him take his tools off the truck for less than $200. Called AB May, got an appointment quickly, Ebony arrived early, was polite diligent, professional and when she left she cleaned up so well I think it was cleaner than before she arrived. And they stuck to their advertised price of $79 even though it took awhile. I would recommend AB May to anyone, but especially request Ebony.

He came out on a Sunday afternoon on short notice and he had my furnace up and working within a matter of minutes and was very professional and informative. He helped me see exactly what the cause of a reoccurring issue was and gave me a solution on the spot. AB May has found a new customer and I’m so grateful for Philip’s help!

Im extremely happy I called AB May to replace my air conditioner/furnace. They were able to get me into their busy schedule quickly. I was extremely impressed with the job that their servicemen did. Sebastian and his crew were quick, helpful and were extremely polite. They worked very quietly and my overly inquisitive dogs were not disturbed by them.I was not able to go into the basement, so Gabe made amazing step by step videos showing me how to replace all the filters and explaining all the new equipment to me. I would most definitely call them again. They made getting a new system painless.

Guillermo was a great service tech. He was very knowledgeable, helpful, professional, and friendly. He explained everything thoroughly including answering any questions I had. Our AC stopped working the last day it was warm so I scheduled a service call. I also had some questions about our humidifier that didnt seem to be running correctly after we turned the heat on (running much longer than it should considering the humidity inside & out). His answers were very thorough and helpful. He also found the problem with the AC was a part not working and the next week when the part was in he returned to install it. I was happy to have the same tech who knew the problem already and to have Guillermo return since he was so helpful and informative. Great service and would highly recommend him and AB May.

When I called AB May that morning after waking to a house at 61 degrees though I had turned on the furnace a few days before and was quite warm when we went to bed, the scheduler was empathetic and reassuring we would get a call the same day. Justin Kieso met with my husband and after listening to what my husband described what had been happening, Justin seemed to go right to the problem, explaining each finding and step to fix it (resetting our thermostat back to factory settings and reprogrammed it) as well as checking our fan on the outside unit, removing the dead mouse that chewed wires making it no longer run consistently, and got it working again as well. He was quick, knowledgeable, and the cost was shockingly fair!! We will definitely call them again. Thanks, AB May!!

My tech, Rafael, performed excellent service for us. He corrected some longstanding issues with my furnace which is now heating my house more efficiently than ever. I requested afternoon service and Rafael showed up in the morning which was ok, just not as planned. Also, AB May charges an $89 service fee in addition to time & materials which was not customary from my experience elsewhere. Regardless, they do good work.

He explained everything we needed to know about our furnace & potential problems and solutions. May, Ive worked with; his work is excellent. I have used A.B. May a number of times and will continue to for any problems in the future.Oh and did I mention Nate Deuel was great to work with. *Update/new issue: Service 2/15/24 Leaky Faucet*Welp after the Super Bowl I decided to clean up (Late, like 0030hrs). Was done w/the dishes & heard dripping🤦🏽‍♀️ Water was leaking under my kitchen sink. It was only on the garbage disposal side...so surely thats what it was. This also happened a month or so after I bought my hm in 2017 (b4 I got AB May, but I did call them, they gave good info, but I decided to buy it myself & had another company install it). Sort of remembering 2017, in my mind, I needed to buy a disposal. I called AB May, made my 2/15 appt & confirmed theyd install what I buy. The lady said yes, but she couldnt give me any prices (the techs do that--the only downside) she was also paitent, as i tried to tighten screws to see if it fixed it. Nope. Anywho wasnt sure of the disposal I wanted, so I bought 2 & would just ask the tech. The tech, Joseph Lopez, was on time, patient, swift & informative. He confirmed it was the disposal, he also confirmed the 5yr life of the Badger 500. I bought that one & a higher powered one (but wasnt sure the lgr one would fit). He explained the differences & the extras needed for the larger one. I decided to stick w/the B5. He said hed go get 1 from the truck. I told em I had one. He said maam you have the Gold Warranty Plan...your disposal is included I was like, so Im only paying the $75 service fee? Hes like, yulp. Well, tickle me pink! B4 he left...it was a long shot, but part of my larger top burner on my stove went out n the Med 1 is super high. Asked him if he had any idea. He did, but suggested I call AB May for an electrician. Told him depending on the cost, unsure if I want to fix it or get a new one. He let me know...that my stove is also covered in my plan🤦🏽‍♀️ So basically Ive been cook-struggling since a week before xmas...and all I had to do was call AB May. Guess I need to look at my plan again (its been awhile)🤣 basically, for me, all appliances except fridge/washer/dryer (which those I bought) are covered. I just love when techs give information, even if itll make us feel dumb. Lol. Ive had AB May, going on...I think 6-7 yrs now. The vip things we forget. **Best money I spend each month, for what they cover. Thanks AB May😁---------------------------------------*A/C dont work *On 7/1/23, my AC died. However, i was headed out of town the next morning. I was returning on 7/8/23 & gave them a call, while i was still on the highway, a few hours out. It was during one of our severe heat waves & when I left my hm it was over 100° days prior. I was given a time frame of their arrival & advised when Id hit town & she noted the file so that theyd arrive around when i did. And he did! The worker was nice, compassionate & worked swiftly. Outside compressor died. Since Im under their warranty & they put in the new AC system 5/2017, I only paid the normal service fee.I just love how they see my matters as urgent as I do & display genuine care & concern. Their flexibility is just awesome.

During a basement renovation we found we had a small leak in the ceiling. We put in an order for a service call. Timothy Wurtz arrived on site to diagnose the problem, he quickly isolated the issue and provided options for repair. He was able to return the next day and within a hour had repaired the issue and explained the work completed. Timothy was prompt, courteous , and made the repair quickly with thorough explanations each step of the way. I highly recommend AB May and especially Timothy should you ever need skilled diagnostics for plumbing issues or plumbing work in your home.

I had a whole home warranty through AB May and noticed leaks in the valves supplying my hot water heater and whole home humidifier. Instead of swapping out the valves they completely replumbed the copper inlet pipes. Couldnt be more satisfied. Excellent workmanship. I will continue to use AB May as long as I own this house. The workmanship is simply unbeatable.

The one thing that makes me hesitate when hiring someone to fix something is honesty and I was so so very pleased with Troy Fellers honesty. I was out of town when my washing machine decided to stop working, my grandson tried to use it and nothing happened. I had no idea who I could call to come and take a look at it. I googled and saw ABMay, a company I recognized, so I made an appointment online. That was the first thing I was impressed with, the second thing was the follow up text messages and the final thing was the honesty. My machine needed a motherboard and even though Troy could have fixed it, he suggested I get a new one that would cost pretty much the same as the repair. Integrity is EVERYTHING and I appreciated his advice. Thank you ABMay!

I called A.B. May to check on my Samsung fridge which was periodically loosing temperature. The whole process with this company was seamless and efficient. Their office staff member was pleasant and helpful. They scheduled my appointment within 3 days and were upfront about their diagnostic service fee. Zach was my service person and he quickly identified dirty condenser coils as the probable source of the temperature issue. A.B. May offers a 30-day warranty on their service call. If they need to return within that time frame, they wave the service charge. I hope my fridge temperature issue has been resolved, but if I needed another service, I would not hesitate to call A.B. May.

Well these guys aren’t cheap. But d@#n they’re good. I live in this place right now and I know some of the cost of this, and some of the technical aspects of this old house. They sold a deal to the owner and I knew it wasn’t gonna work with the exact problem we were having. They have been back a few times to come up with some creative ideas and I’m pleased to say that I’m fully impressed with the solution that was installed today. It’s a very creative solution that will bring many many many years of operating success. They stand behind their work way past the guy that someone knows who would have baled a long time ago. These guys are prompt creative professionals. They even wear these little booties in this old house to protect the floors. It really puts the emphasis on you get what you pay for. There’s two ways to do something in today’s world, the way to do it to get by, and the way to do it to never have to worry about it again. This right here is never have to stress about it again. I will forever recommend these guys to everyone and stress the importance of this story. Job well done guys!

George was amazing! He arrived early and was very friendly and sweet. He took his time explaining everything and ensure I knew what was needed for the AC unit to run properly again. While we waited for the AC unit to respond to his fixes, we had a mutual love of our dogs and shared stories about them to pass the time. He also helped me get a guy to come out and quote a replacement since he knew I expressed concerns about the age of my AC unit. A.B. May did fantastic and timely work for us! They went above and beyond! Our sewer line ruptured and was backing up in our front yard. We essentially had no running water. With a household of 8, we needed help. When I called, a very nice woman answered the phone and all of my questions. Dustin came out the next morning and and was extremely friendly and kind to my wife and kids. He immediately called Zack, who lives an hour and a half away from us but came by way after hours to assess the situation. Zack called his boss to schedule the repair and we thought we would have to wait another day. His boss arranged for us to have a relief ditch dug the next day which meant we could do dishes and take showers again. Zach was very patient and courteous and conversed with me over the phone numerous times as I still had to be at work. The repairs were extensive and very expensive. Zach helped us arrange financing and had a crew there promptly the next day. 5 ft of old clay pipe had crumbled underground and the rest of our line was full of tree roots. They replaced the broken portion of pipe, eliminated the tree roots and lined the rest of the sewer out the street. It was an absolute mess which I will be paying for over many years but I could not be happier with the customer service at A.B. May. The stages of repairs came with a 10 and 20 year warranty so I look forward to hopefully never having this problem again. A.B. May sincerely cared about helping us, did not try to upsell anything and got the whole problem fixed in less than 48 hours. I could not recommend this company more. Thanks for reading my review. A.B.May is a lifesaver! After my positive experience with professionals from this company, I will never do business with anyone else! I met Brian when I called for an estimate on hydro jetting my line after a previous plumber recommendation and quote. Brian suggested descaling the pipes which essentially cleans the pipes, remove tree roots, etc. and was a much safer, option than hydro jetting especially with a logged clogged line. After much consideration and worry I trusted Brian and his technicians Cody and Marcus to do the job. Thursday morning the team arrived and got to work on my critical issue. I called AB May this morning and set an appointment for today. The receptionist had a nice sense of humor and was very helpful. Nick Husseman was the technician who came to my home. He let me know when he was on his way and provided a map that showed his progress as he came to my home. Nick was pleasant and knowledgeable about my drainage system. I had been having backups coming into my home which was nasty. Nick diagnosed that the problem had resolved itself. It was no longer backing up and when water was run through the systems, there was no problem. If I have the problem again within the next 30 days, hell come back for free. The whole experience was pleasant (except the nasty sewage I cleaned up last night) and it feels as though the issue I called about was resolved.

They asked if we had extra paint and proceeded to touch up the wall.We had the whole process explained to us and what to expect and how/who to contact if we had any problems. We even had to leave for awhile before the technicians finished and they cleaned up and locked up to the point that you couldnt tell they were even there.We were completely satisfied with the experience with A B May and their employees.

My experience with A. B. May was excellent. Truly all that anyone could hope for. Tony and the other two installers were professional, efficient, and considerate.It was a terrifically tough job, removing all the old cast iron drain pipes from a 3-story 1905 house and replacing them with new plastic pipe, all the way from the basement floor to the roof. Hard to believe they could do all that in just four days.But the best part of the story is the quality of the work. I’ve used a lot of PVC pipe. Never in residential plumbing, but in other challenging settings. So, I can see the quality in the work that was done. They did beautiful work. That’s the only word for it. In the basement, the only place where the pipe will be visible, everything is straight and clean and well done. What a joy to have something that cannot be changed come out so well.And, not so important in this type of work, but the price was right as well. This could easily have cost a lot more.So glad I went with A. B. May. This needed to be done right, so I went with a quality firm. Best decision possible.

I would give 5 stars but the first Tech we got (Brian Lawrence) was very lazy, rude and inconsiderate. A simple fix to him would have been a new dish washer and $1500 later. He took one look at our dishwasher and just cancelled the call, didn’t even give me a chance to show him the clog in the drain line and went out to his truck to sit in front of my house for almost 40mins. The next tech who came out was super awesome and apologized for Brian’s lack of customer service and actions. He not only fixed our washer but it was done in minutes, AND he went above and beyond and made sure to fix it so we didn’t have the same problem ever again. Not to mention the bill was super reasonable.
