    The diagnosis of the water problems we were having revealed that we needed to have the tankless hot water heater replaced. This was done professionally and efficiently by the repairman, Sam.     Having to deal with plumbing issues on a holiday is no fun, but Jack came to the rescue. He arrived on time, presented the options for solving our problem, and immediately got to work. Unfortunately, the first method was not successful and he showed us video of the mangled tree roots blocking our line. He then proceeded with the second option using high pressure water. Seeing the before/ after pictures allowed us to feel comfortable that the line was cleared. All this was accomplished before guests arrived! We appreciate Jacks friendly demeanor, work ethic, and time he gave us on Thanksgiving Day.

Ben Franklin had provided an exceptionally good late night, emergency septic service a few years ago, so thought they deserved repeat business.     Sam did such a great job! He was able to find the leak quickly and changed out the entire water heater the same day. He took the time to show the important functions and the important red flags to know if things are not working properly.     I am happy with the service I received. They were quick and provided me service the day after I called.I have held back one start because I feel that they were not truthful in there sales pitch and snuck in drain cleaning liquid without me requesting any or explaining the true cost of the liquid 100$ for two roughly gallons size bottles.After the technician left I reviewed my receipt and called the office, when I saw the charge. They were understanding and once I returned the liquid I was given a refund. But it was a hassle I did not need.

    This was my first experience getting a septic tank cleaning. And I wasn’t sure what to expect when BFP came out to clean and pump it out. I first received a call from BFP informing me they were about 20-25 minutes from arriving. When they arrived Eric and David were very nice and informative. They informed me of what and how they would be doing and gave me a written quote before they started. They located the tank w accuracy, I only had a vague idea of its location, and dug a hole by hand (No invasive machinery needed). They pumped it out and repaired the area where they dug. Clean up - there was none, Eric and David were excellent. I would have them back and that says ALOT.

    Kevin Connolly was very friendly, positive and humorous. He also didnt mind getting down in the mud in our small crawl space with all the spiders and whatever else to take care of us. He was quick to diagnose, give options, and fix our cracked pipes. He also offered thier Ben Society Maintenance Plan that saved us money, gave us a water filtration system, hot water heater flush, sewer pipe check, water test, and more. We are very thankful for Kevin and Benjamin Franklin Plumbing!UPDATE: Quinten Fischer came by for the Ben Society Maintenance inspection to check our whole plumbing system. He let us know our chlorine levels were very high (that explains bad taste) and our pipe pressure was also very high (which explains our namebrand garden hoses always bursting). The FREE Brita water filter he installed made a BIG difference in taste, and it is nice knowing our pipes are not about to bust from all that extra pressure. Quinten was very professional and kind, he gave us alot of options and we felt that he really cared about us. We are very thankful for Quinten and Benjamin Franklin Plumbing!

The old one was leaking from the faucet and I wanted a bigger sink and faucet which I had already bought months ago.     I had the annual inspection done today and was happy to find no problems. Vincent discussed the new and improved maintenance agreement with the additional services that are included. Fantastic new agreement including free dispatch calls, Britta filter on one sink of my choice, one bottle of bio Ben and visual inspection of septic line with camera among other things. I got the bottle of Bio Ben and the camera inspection. Ill be getting the Britta filter next week. This is a great addition to the already great service Ive always gotten.

    Sam was very professional and did the job in a reasonable time. He probably would have gotten done faster but there were a few obstacles in the pipe. He educated me on what to look for in the future should I need your service again. The price was steeper than I expected but not his fault. All in all the 5 stars are for him and the young lady I spoke with on the phone to set the appointment. She was able to find time in a 24 hour period which was huge and it wasnt considered an emergency call that results in a higher rate to come out same day. The 5 stars were earned today and yesterday

They listed Plumbing system I found that deceiving as they explained because the hook up for water (pipe) was on the outside of the house, it did not get covered! So what exactly was covered?!     Jack did a great job. My only suggestion going forward would be to look the entire property over before suggesting anything. In Jacks case it wasnt truly his fualt becuase thedrain out plug was super hard to see... One of Jacks suggestions for a fix (when we could not get the snake to work from the toilet going down) was installing a drain out plug (1600$) or using a hydro blaster (also 1600$) to see of we could get the pipe clear.... The renter mentioned something at the edge of the property and it saved me a lot money as Jack was able to go in from that spot and clear the issue. It was in fact a drain out plug. I still need a new pipe (prob 4 to 5k) becuase my blockage came from a crushed pipe. So the 1600 hydroblast would have also been a waste of money as well as an unneeded additional drain out...The plug I had was very hard to see/easy to miss because it was missing a cap, but before suggestions are made its something that should be found if possible by yourself or the tech.. Though in this case I do not blame him becuse it was indeed hard to see at ground level with slightly higher grass then the tube level and the cap was missing, so even i missed it... Also the prices are insane (which has nothing to do with Jack) Get several other companies to bid against each other if you have time and can. The prices are redic and basically rovbery and while inflation goes up 15 to 50 % on most things its went up 300% or more in this industry. The people are the only ones eho van fix this. By bidding against other companies and not accepting the high costs... For example: to unscrew and move a toilet (anyone can do, even a 10 year old) its 400$. I asked to move it myself. You can ask to do that and if a company says no GO WITH SOMEONE ELSE. They can absolutely let you do it. Just unscrew the two screws in the floor and turn off the water cable going into the back and disconnect it. Carefully remove the top lid and either drain the water or move slowly. Putting the toilet back is a little more daunting becuase you need to make sure the seal on the bottom is in the right place but just watch a YouTube video its not hard at all. Its actually super easy if you just watch a video and save yourself 400$... Buy a new seal if you can and use that or if the person that shows up is nice they can provide one. Dont stand for the prices you dont have to. Go with someone else or do things yourself. The people working there arent getting paid 400% more than they used to so its just companies taking advantage of the things cost more mindset.....

    This proved to be one of the very best experiences Ive had with a company during what was kind of a trying time. Everyone I had interaction with at Benjamin Franklin Plumbing performed their job to a high standard of excellence.My moms water heater just quit on us about two weeks earlier. I texted brief description of our situation to Benjamin Franklin Plumbing and their representative called me back very soon to set up an appointment the next day. Vincent Rochester arrived punctually, as scheduled, and git right to work. He quickly diagnosed a leak high up in the tank itself. The leak had shorted out the unit and we needed a replacement. He was kind enough to check our warranty situation with the manufacturer. Sadly, we found we had only been covered by a tiny warranty that had expired years ago. But Vincent drew up a concise list of options going forward and sat down to go over them with me thoroughly. I decided to purchase a replacement from a big box store and have Benjamin Franklin do the installation. And Im certainly glad I did. Vincent and Quinton handled the installation- being very careful to wear shoe coverings inside the house and to put down plastic to protect our floors during removal of the old unit. There was a question about some old wiring that had likely been water damaged, so the service guys asked their electrician to drop by and double-check the safety of the installation. They didnt stop at good enough and that impressed me. We now have not only an abundant supply of hot water for my mom who is 88 and suffers from Alzheimers- we have a go-to plumbing company for the future.I want to emphasize that Vincent and Quinton were a delight to work with throughout the process. Both were just very impressive young men in addition to their plumbing expertise. Seems like Benjamin Franklin Plumbing is pretty selective about who they hire to do their work and represent their brand.Theyre my choice.Thanks guys. You are much appreciated.Philip D. Wax seal issue. Josh quickly reviewed the situation and gave me several options. We chose an option and he fixed the issue quickly. We also discussed the possibility of either installing a more forceful flush toilet and/or rerouting a drain line. These are future considerations.17Nov23. Time to reroute the existing drain line to provide a more permanent solution. Cost was low enough that we acted quickly. Josh did the rerouting quickly and without the mess which normally comes with open drain lines. All good here.

    The unethical plumber. Terrible company, rude and unprofessional staff. The owner wont return calls. They came out to install a water heater and put a crushed heater under my house and said NOTHING about the damage. I had to take extra time off work, mileage and cost to refill the 2nd heater they HAD to install once I caught them in their attempt to try and get away with putting in a damaged unit. Quinten inspected and approved the 1st (damaged) heater. Sandra in the office called me beligerant for complaining. James the tech supervisor called me argumentative for asking why the replacement was different then the 1st one installed. They put commercial grade in the 1st time and replaced it with residential grade. James told me he could go get commercial grade and charge me the difference even though thats what they put in the 1st time....total jerk. The owner Harlem Cottingham wont return calls, apparently couldnt care less once hes got your $.After speaking with the owner, Hallum Cottingham he was very concerned and apologetic for the service I got. He was unaware of what had transpired and after our conversation I was satisfied with the resolution to the problem. Therefore I am changing my rating to 5 stars. Thanks for taking the time and effort to make it right.

    We had a pipe burst in our front yard. We had no water in the house. Kevin from Benjamin Franklin was here until 9pm locating the leak. 11 hours later an entire team was here with an excavator. They dug down 6 feet in driving rain all day and located the burst pipe after 7 hours of searching. The pipe was repaired and water restored to our house. I can not emphasize enough how reliable and skilled these guys are. And if you happen to get Kevin on a call, rest assured that he will do everything possible to solve your problem. These guys are the best.

    Angel, the installer, was informative about the product. Reviewed the installation performed. Reviewed guarantees with me. Reviewed the functions and operation of the Hot water tank with me. Bradley, his assistant checked the water lines in the house for air in the lines. They cleaned up and took all their water material with them. They were prompt, Professional and courteous.

    Ive never had a bad experience with Benjamin Franklin Plumbing in the past 12 years we have been using them for our plumbing work, and my latest is no exception. Hallam clearly takes a lot of pride in his work, and is an artist when it comes to his job. The re-plumbed lines and drains in my kitchen and the new under-sink filter unit he installed take up a minimum of space, are accessible, and look nice. He was always friendly and polite, knowledgeable and capable, as were his helpers. If BFP does ONE thing right, its hiring great people.

    We had an issue with our hot water heater and I was able to investigate and see that the pressure relief valve was the issue. I replaced that but after having the breaker flipped for two days while waiting to get time to fix it, the hot water line had apparently froze with the temps being in the low 20s lately. I felt a bit defeated after replacing the valve and NOT having hot water run. Cold ran but hot didnt run anything, not even cold water. I tried googling and tried a few things (possibly air locked line) but still nothing so after having to go out for other business, several hours later I reached out to Benjamin Franklin plumbing. I spoke with a gentleman named Hallam who was super nice and he tried helping me troubleshoot some things over the phone so I wasnt charged for a big nothing burger. He gave me a couple of things to check when I got home. When I arrived, I didnt find anything that he mentioned being an issue, however, to my surprise, we now had hot water again...which is why I concluded that the line had to have been froze. So, while I didnt actually have to have them come out, it was still nice to talk to someone that wasnt eager to just get a paycheck when some time spent on the phone could have saved us money and I appreciated that. When we do have a bigger issue that will need onsite help, Ill definitely remember this event and reach out to these guys for my business. Thanks again, Hallam.

    Our first day in a new home and the movers clogged our toilet. It was so bad, plunging didn’t help.I called and they had a technician out on a Saturday evening within 45 min. Jack was professional, friendly and efficient. He had to auger the toilet to get it unclogged, but he had it done in no time.Great service on a Saturday evening, highly recommend them.

    Ben Franklin Plumbing came at the scheduled time. Quickly diagnosed the problem and replaced the natural gas flow control valve on my water heater. Kevin was efficient and professional. The price is higher than some other plumbers but worth it in my mind because they are prompt and perform good quality work.

    We are new to the area and have never had a septic tank system. I called for an inspection and some schooling on how to maintain the system.     Hallam responded to my need to find a blockage in my pipes that had caused a rather messy backup and the inability to use the water. The company was called early evening after hours and Hallam showed up punctually the next morning at nine. He obviously knew what he was doing and quickly identified the problem and shared all the options for its correction. All costs and options were clearly explained and all questions were knowledgely addressed.I think he went above and beyond when fixing the issue and put extra effort into making things right. I recommend Hallam one hundred percent and will specifically request his services when needed in the future.
