    Southwest was available to install an interloc transfer switch/outlet for my large portable generator on short notice with Hurricane Milton approaching. The electrician, Bert, did a clean and professional job. Additionally, the experienced electrician, “Bert” was friendly and very courteous and professional. He also installed some nice pendant fixtures and lights in place of some recessed lights.

    I cant say enough good things about this company. First Jaron shows up, explains everything to you, walks the job, and tells you the best spot to put the generator. Gets you an estimate in an hour or so. No b.s. jacking up the price to give a fake discount like other companies. One estimate from another Co. came in with discounts and was the same price as Jaron. I dont like sleezy sales tactics you dont get that here. Then the women in the office handle the permits and they are excellent. They see an issue (because there is always an issue with Cape Coral) and they are on top of it. The Cape said my 2 year old site survey wasnt good enough. Without batting an eye, my original survey company was contacted by SWFL Electric and an appointment was made for me to have a survey done. Then they called and advised me of the situation. Now thats customer service. They dont call with problems, they call with solutions. Every Wed you get a call keeping you up to date on permitting. Then the crew comes out to do the install. Again, complete professionals. I had Rainer and Nelson. They were fantastic, did a great job, very clean, no corners cut, very friendly and answered any questions I had. I have to say, not at any point in this process did I feel neglected or pushed aside. All this and they are still about the same price as other companies. Its not like you pay extra for good service, they just provide it. Youre welcome to shop around, but if you go with another company and it turns into a nightmare, remember I told you these guys are the best.

    You should absolutely use this business if you can. We called a few locations for service and we completely understand the stress and difficulties of any business to service homeowners ahead of a hurricane. This company was clear, accurate, informative, responsive, and followed up with us every step of the way. We had the exact opposite experience with other companies we called. Even if this company could not have helped us, they would have earned our future business with their communication level alone.

    Jo was my Southwest Florida Electric technician today when I had a surge protection device installed in my home today. First of all, I feel it’s extremely important to have your power panel protected by one of these devices. Then when you check out electrical companies that do electrical work, there is no company better rated than Southwest Florida Electric by their customer comments. Jo, my technician, arrived on time and my being interested in this type of work, watched the complete installation in the power panel and the panel outside where my internet connects to the house. Yes you want this protected also don’t you. Jo was most competent in his work and took the time to explain, in detail how this system works and the guarantees that come with their installation.     Met with Bert for initial assessment regarding cost to install wiring for pool heater. He thoroughly explained the who, what, where, when and why that was needed to complete the project correctly. When he came back for installation, he did what was previously discussed in a timely and professional manner. He is knowledgeable, professional and courteous. In my opinion, Bert is an asset to Southwest Florida Electric.

    I had Southwest Florida Electric mount and install a Ring wired Floodlight Camera Pro at my house. Since this is a hardwired model, the tech needed to go up in the attic and run new wires to power the camera.Jeremy did an awesome job, completing the task relatively fast and efficiently. The Ring spotlight camera works perfectly.I decided to use Southwest Florida Electric, based on the positive ratings and feedback. I too am giving this company the highest rating.The cost of the job was reasonable and a lot lower than another electrical company that I had here for an estimate.I highly recommend Southwest Florida Electric for all of your electrical needs. I will definitely call on this company for any electrical jobs in the future.

    Jaron showed up on time and let us know when he was on his way.We couldnt be happier with what he fixed for us.We had a transfer switch installed about a year ago by SW Florida Electric and we didnt realize until Hurricane Milton, when we had to use our generator for the first time since the installation, that part of one circuit that we had wanted connected to the transfer switch had not been done at the initial installation. Jaron fixed it in a few minutes and double checked to make sure it was correct before he left. Great Job! I would highly recommend

    Called the company and they came same day. Bert, my tech, was prompt, professional, and courteous. He fixed my problem in minutes. It was my own stupidity that couldnt fix it myself but he pointed out my mistake and showed me what to do. He was also sharp enough to not block the mailbox and garbage cans as so many vendors do.     I called on SWFL Electric several years ago and was beyond impressed with the work done. This time I needed power restored to my dock... The phone receptionist found me a swift appointment and kindly found me another when I had to switch.Bert showed up on schedule, inspected my entire home electric set-up as part of the service call -- and did find a number of problems to address and updates to code to suggest. He proposed several estimates for different packages of work, including of course just the price of the service call; I felt no pressure to agree to any of these other than the inspection charge (on discount at the time!) but did sign on for some fixes that seemed advisable. I may get some of the other work done at a later date.Bert was personable and a pleasure to talk to, as well as totally knowledgeable about things electric. He identified my dock power problem and corrected it, replaced some GFCI outlets, and replaced the main electric panel surge protector that had probably died 15 years ago... He will return next week to finish the job with some parts he didnt have with him.I was already recommending SW FL Electric to friends, and will continue to do so most enthusiastically!Update: Bert returned to finish the work hed started, and revisited power at the dock which was shorting out due to faulty boat-lift wiring. I am very happy to have gotten this work done, AND to have had it done by Southwest Electric!

    We needed some help with fixing our pool light wiring along with cutting power to some landscape lighting so we could remove it. Jo came out today exactly on the scheduled time and was professional and super helpful. He took care of everything quickly and explained everything he did. Great price, great service.     Just completed a Kohler whole house generator system. Jason Henkel and his staff Lindsay and Toby handled all necessary permits and notifications. Rainer Jorge and Nelson completed all the electrical work. Blossman gas prepared the yard for the propane tank install. All work done professionally and in timely manner. I definitely would recommend this company for all your electric needs or generator installs.

    Jeremy has worked on our place before and is familiar with the layout and was able to quickly service our generator and get the info necessary to give us the estimate we need for some other work. SWFE has been always been responsive and professional and I highly recommend them.This is a post I neglected to finish but I’ve continued to rely on SWFE for any electrical needs I have and they always are responsive and professional. I’ve used them multiple times since I wrote the initial part of this post. Jeremy is my “ go-to-guy” and his familiarity with the property and house makes it easy for both of us.     This was our first experience with this company. Everyone from Jessica, Toby, Bert & Jaron were outstanding to work with. They worked with us to accommodate our time frame which we really appreciated. Bert & Jaron were very thorough giving explanations that a lay person could understand. It took a couple of visits to locate the cause of the problem which was ultimately corrected. At the same time, we were made aware of the potential for future problems with the outlets & switches because of shoddy work done at the time the building was constructed. We will be using this company for any future electrical work & highly recommend them.

    We were thoroughly impressed by the high quality of service that Southwest Florida Electric demonstrated. They were in contact with us to let us know when technician was on his way. Brence, the technician, did a thorough inspection. He gave us options and we chose the one that fit our needs the best. He repaired a couple of items but needed to come back to complete the job. The follow up was excellent and we are totally satisfied with the work. We are making a list of other electrical tweaks for the future and they will get the call. They are honest and professional. We highly recommend them.

    I had a new fan installed in my Lanai and it would not operate. I called Southwest Florida Electric. They were responsive and sent out Brence R as their technician. He was very professional and took pride in his work. He trouble shot my ceiling fan issue and was able to repair/fix. I was telling him about the amount of storm surge that I had from Hurricane Ian and he said he would like to look at my electrical panel in the garage, my generator panel and the panel outside. He inspected all 3 and said everything looked great. I highly recommend this company and would ask for Brence ( but I am sure all their Technicians are great). I will use this company in the future for all my electrical needs/issues. Finally found a reputable and reliable company in SW Florida

    I purchased a ceiling fan with lights through Home Depot, and Southwest Florida electric was one of the vendors they partner with for installations. I haven’t had much luck with Home Depot‘s vendors until Southwest Florida electric. They promptly called to talk to me, scheduled an installation, & it was priced reasonably. when the technician showed up, they were unbelievably professional down to the coverings they wore on their shoes. They did a beautiful installation job, completely protected my furniture during it and did an absolutely fabulous job. I’m already planning on getting Southwest Florida electric back here to do some long overdue electrical work because they were fair priced, Answer all my questions honestly and I felt very comfortable having them in my home. I cannot recommend them enough !

    I called for same day service we were remodeling and ran into a snag with the electrical. I had never used this company before but saw they had good ratings. They said they just happened to have a service person available.     I have used Southwest Florida Electric for YEARS and have had a wonderful experience every time. My entire house was wired by them. I had them back years later with the large bucket truck to install outside lighting on 30 foot poles in my yard to light it up when I entertain or work in my back yard. I even had them set up those same lights and other lights in my house so I can turn them on and off with my iPhone which is SUPER COOL!! I can set my own timers and such. They have been to over 80 of my commercial units to install new circuits, or change out an old fuse panel to a breaker box for the insurance company. I was able to get them to one of my units with in 2 hours because of an emergency I was having. I was very happy they responded so quickly and helped me avoid a disaster. Their fees are always reasonable and I have never had any issue with any of their work. They always pass the county inspections the first time. I cant say enough great things about them and I will continue to use them for years to come (and you should too :-)

It is not a simple process because you have to deal with both the gas and electric utilities, as well as the electrician and local government inspections along the way. SWFE was AWESOME.     I have had a main panel breaker problem for 3 years. I have had 4 new breakers in one slot over these three years and today Kenny came in and found the problem and fixed it permanently. The previous electricians just replaced the breaker and charged me an arm and a leg for it and Kenny went through all the circuits on the breaker to find the issue, which he did and charged me just a bit more than half of what the other electricians charged. I cant give a higher recommendation. Just The Best Electrician in SW Florida.

    Southwest Florida Electric was awesome. I called with an issue with a breaker (for my hot water heater). Luck would have it a technician (Jo) just finished a job and was able to answer the service call. He came, listened to what I had to say, diagnosed the issue with no hassle and withing 30 minutes (ish) the repair was complete. I would definitely recommend Southwest Florida Electric to anyone and will definitely be calling them again with any electrical issues.
