There are no words that can describe the wonderful person/worker that James is! Hes a a angel sent from Heaven! My 88 year old grandmother had an emergency after hours, and he went above and beyond to assist her with her toilet. I can not thank him enough!

James is incredible to work with. We’ve worked together several times. Last time I had him over to inspect my sewer line prior to finishing a basement. While he was here, I showed James my preliminary design and his response? “Oh, you’re throwing money away with this. Just work within your constraints, don’t try to blast through them.” And damn was he right. Ive shown the same plans to multiple builders, and no one has had the eye that James has. It has saved me a ton of money and effort working with James. Im grateful for your help

I am describing James as “a one-man rescue squad for homes”. I was trying to diagnose a problem that was related to frozen pipes. When James came to my house, he pointed things out to me about my crawl space that no other plumber had bothered to tell me in the 24 years that I have owned my house. He suggested a less expensive option for fixing my current problem compared to the first opinion that I got. He was easy to reach. He was prompt in completing the work. He was very knowledgeable about home repairs. His truck is well equipped to deal with unexpected material needs (this ends up saving so much time that would normally be spent going back and forth to LOWES). He treated me with respect, he welcomed my input, and he was willing to explain what my alternatives were. I had a completely positive experience working with James. James is the best! Hes come by twice for a bunch of assorted projects for us and weve been pleased with him every time. He is good at what he does and organizes his work in a way that you get the most bang for your buck. Weve had him install commercial sinks, move sinks and drainage/water lines, repair our front door, service our fridges, and even clean our grease trap. Hes a good dude and affordable.

James Pearce is a rare find. He has solved several drain clogs that I failed to make significant impact on over several days of plotting and attempting. One caused a rather extensive mess, which he cleaned up very quickly with a very cheerful energy. Each problem is approached with inquisitive intelligence, and none have baffled him yet. His charges are conservative and fair. He comes quickly, does the work efficiently, and leaves no trail. Thank you, James for taking good care of us!

I called James with a clogged sink on a Saturday morning. He was at our home within a few hours and suggested a long term fix for our sink clog which had happened the previous year. He spent a few hours here rerouting our drain so it had a shorter run. I appreciate that he could look at the problem and suggest a way to fix it that wasnt just a bandaid on the problem. Hes personable and diligent. I highly recommend.

When i came home to sewage coming out of my washing machine drain i was horrified but James came out that night working until 9pm to snake the yard and drain to resolve the clog. Then he uncovered the root of the issue lack of a backflow trap and poor gradient for our drain installing a sump pump and correcting multiple pipe issues. Very professional, speedy, safe during this virus and accurate. Definitely would recommend!

Short version for people in a hurry- This man saved me $6000. Call him.Long version for those who like detail- I called a plumbing service (Just Better Home Services) way back in November to figure out why my basement was flooding every time I showered. Their technician claimed to have installed a cleanout (which was apparently not necessary), attempted to clean the drain, and found a substantial root structure in my pipes. He came back with a $6000 quote saying hed have to dig up my yard to see whether or not the pipes were significantly damaged. Im a small business owner in the midst of COVID- financing options or no, I dont have $6000 to throw around. I held off on the repair and just..... showered less, stuffing a rag down the drain to make it drain slower and crossing my fingers for less sewage in my basement. Gross, right?I gave up and called James. 30 minutes after our initial conversation, he was in my house and working to solve the problem. Three hours and two auger runs later, the problem was fixed. James was efficient, honest, and very knowledgeable. Added bonus- in the three hours he was working, he taught me a ton about my plumbing.

Repair Cville Rooter Service, operated by James Pearce, installed a sump pump for me, quickly and for a reasonable price. Not only the sump pump, but he removed a broken industrial dehumidifier, installed a new one I had bought, and replaced a clogged HVAC drain pipe. The dehumidifier and the HVAC now drain centrally into the sump pump well, which worked like a charm after the first heavy rain (1-25-2021). Some wiring work and a sump pump alarm were also part of the project. Where there used to be inches of standing water after heavy rain, there was none this morning (1-26-21). Even after all the snow, ice and rain this month, my space stayed dry. He and his assistant brought peace of mind, and I recommend you use James Pearce/Repair Cville for plumbing jobs.

We cannot rave enough about the amazing job that James did! We had a serious problem with sewage seeping in through the floor and foundation in a basement bathroom. We had no idea what to do! We had done some work with a plumber Who thought it was a cracked pipe and did a little bit of demolition to find the source. Before we did too much demolition we decided to give James a call and get his expert opinion and he quickly determined that it was a blocked drain pipe. Not only did James get the job done, but he’s so knowledgeable and we learned so much about the whole process from him. We could not recommend him enough to anyone who’s got plumbing issues!

Our experience with James was possibly the best contractor experience the entire time we have lived in Charlottesville. We reached out to James after discovering a burst pipe. He was incredibly responsive and helped do some initial remote diligence before arriving on site--presumably saving us both time and me money. James was upfront about cost structure and expectations for the job, with a couple different potential scenarios. I especially appreciated this. Before arriving, we realized there was at least one other potential job we would request from him (unrelated to the pipe) and he was able to tackle that one as well. James communicated throughout the work, sharing pictures and his perspective and various nuances and ways to approach solution as he discovered them. I can confidently say that our house is in a better state than it was before the pipe burst and will reach out to James for every single job that he is able and willing to do. Send your business to this man.

Dream Repair! My faucet was near death, and I was referred to James Pearce. Although it was a Monday (and late afternoon), James immediately replied, and thanks to his last job finishing up ahead of schedule, he was able to pick up a fabulous new faucet (we discussed model and features I wanted), came to my home, and had installed my new faucet within the hour. Extremely professional, polite, and cleaned up everything. Very satisfied and I highly recommend!
