We hired Snowflake last month to replace our entire old HVAC system with a ductless inverter system. Jose did the initial assessment and was very thorough in how the install would work, how a ductless system works, and the best type of system for the size of our home and what we were looking for. He also offered to remove our old condenser, furnace, and ducts (which were in pretty bad shape) during the install, and set up the gas lines so we had the option of later installing a gas range, and a gas grill outside. The installers were friendly,!professional, knowledgeable, and did a great job. They had to cut into a bit of our drywall for the lines but once they finished and patched it up you could hardly tell the difference.They did in fact remove our old HVAC equipment which freed up our entire crawl space and some of our patio outside. The system has been working great so far and we are glad we switched, and we would highly recommend Snowflake for folks looking for this service!

I don’t know how to thank Jose and his team enough! My partner and I live in a converted school bus tiny home and were in need of a heating/cooling system. Calling Snowflake Air got us a top-rated Mitsubishi unit with a very well-thought out secure installation. Jose, innovator of the Skoolie year, came up with solutions to challenges of having a mount for a home on wheels and he foresaw possible pitfalls (literally) that are going to save our butts (while keeping them cool and warm).The team…Gary, Jake, Ron were so efficient and are men that clearly know their craft. They put pride into their work and wanted to make sure we were happy with the aesthetics by keeping everything so neat while secure. Our AC suddenly stopped working this morning, I spoke with a very friendly person on the phone and she managed to get someone out the same day. Their system seems well organized and streamlined, I received a confirmation text and a heads up when a technician was en route. Jose showed up right when they said he would be here, he was also very friendly and knowledgeable. He got the problem diagnosed and fixed within minutes then made absolutely sure everything was working as expected. Even gave me a few tips on a new house we’re building. Will not hesitate to call again or refer a friend.

Snowflake was great to work with. Jose assessed the system and the issue we were having, explained everything clearly and provided plan for maintenance and repair. Two ductless heads and a heat pump were deeply cleaned, and a blower motor replaced. Ductless is still hit or miss on whether companies truly know how the systems work, and its obvious that Snowflake knows them very well. Well be using them in the future for any/all system needs.

I received 3 estimates for an install of a Mini-Split ductless system to heat/cool my RV garage (chose Mitsubishi unit). Jose, the owner of Snowflake Air came personally to provide the estimate, not a salesperson as with the other cos. Unlike the other cos reps, Jose gave me various options right from the start re unit brands/models, materials, install methods, etc...I didnt have to ask. He then answered my questions and provided product brochures, etc... Very easy going, no hard sell. After that, Jose emailed me more product info for HOA approval and responded to a few addl questions I had.His price quote was somewhat close to one other co, coming out in the middle of the 3. Snowflakes online reviews were excellent, but I ultimately chose this co based on my gut feeling that they would not only do a quality job, but also that they would be the most responsive should any issue arise down the road.So far, at one week after the install, I couldnt be more pleased with how well Jose and his staff communicates, the install, and the system itself. Its a night and day difference in my garage. Jake the lead on the install team and his helper Luis, showed on time, and did a very good and neat job in nasty weather. Assuming one is buying a quality product, the jobs success always comes down to the installer. Like the friendly office staff, they were courteous and professional. This company communicates exceptionally well and is timely in responding. I would recommend Snowflake highly without hesitation.

We moved into a 2 story home that really didn’t have adequate cooling for the upstairs. After searching and reading prior reviews we went with Snowflake Air. We are very happy we did. They took time with us to discuss options and we decided to go with a ductless system upstairs. This was a cheaper option and it’s been running straight for a few months perfectly. They are very professional and I think they left the work areas cleaner than what they were to begin with! They have great customer service. I found a small leak last night on our regular unit and called at 8am. They were here and fixed the minor issue and done by 10am. I cannot say enough for this company. I believe they care about their customers and their image. We are very pleased and will keep using them for any future needs. Thanks!

Also, whenever we’ve had an issue (few and far between), they have always been there same day for us. I chose Snowflake Air because Jose, who is also the owner, was the estimator who I felt was going to take the best care of me and not just try to sell me something. He even suggested that I try a few things that might put off the replacement for a couple of years. There was improvement, but I chose to replace anyway. From start to finish, the attention to detail and to my concerns was the best I have ever seen. Everyone involved was there to see that I got what I wanted and what I needed, no more, no less. Michael and Jose came out today to fine tune all of the duct work in our attic. We found that the previous technician did not adequately secure the duct work and we had lose lines blowing hot air into the attic. Not a good situation for our gas bill. In a couple of hours they had everything cinched up and working great. They are very affordable, on time, and the communication was excellent. Would definitely recommend.

Outstanding customer service, technician was very very knowledgeable. I had right now air come before they did and they said my cost would be over 2k for a new furnace, Snowflake came in and did a step by step investigation, after 40 min and some cleaning my furnace is running like new, my cost? $79, yes they saved me 2k so I already signed up for a yearly maintenance program, I dont want another company in my house, before calling one of the big guys call one of the last honest guys in the valley!!!

Im disabled and cannot handle the heat. 3 other companies that had come out to look at our unit and were trying to upsale us. Snowflake was the last call I made. Since the repair went so quickly he also took the time to install the new programmable thermostat that was sitting on the kitchen counter waiting for me to get around to installing. Snowflake Air was recommended through Home Depot. I had 3 other companies quote replacing our furnace and A/C unit. Snowflake Air was almost the lowest quote. Two long established companies in the southern Idaho area were almost double the estimate. Both their Better Business Bureau ratings were much lower than Snowflake Air. Once Snowflake Air started the work, each time Michael/Jose said they would be at our home, they were on time. When an electrical sub-contractor was not honest about his licensing, Snowflake Air hired another electrical contractor at their own expense to insure the work got a FINAL permit from the City of Boise. I wholeheartedly recommend Snowflake Air for any type of furnace H/A work. I am NOT related to either Michael or Jose!

A little over a year ago I was in the process of selling some bonds to purchase a new furnace and air conditioner. I had been told by four local HVAC companies that my equipment was worn out. One went as far as unplugging necessary wires to insure the furnace wouldnt work. My investor recommended Snowflake Air. Michael came out and checked the equipment and plugged the wires back in. He informed me that the system was dated but had been taken good care of. He recommended that I postpone until the equipment failed. At my request, he did give me a bid that was substantially less than all the other bids for the exact same equipment. A few days ago, Juan came out and tuned the air conditioner up for summer. Everything is still in good shape. I kept the money invested, instead of giving it to a local HVAC company to invest. I feel that Snowflake Airs owners and technicians are not only honest and dedicated but proactive in saving their customers money. What more can we hope for?I finally got the Completely new HVAC system along with An electronic Air Scrubber. With the recent pandemic I felt that a device designed for removing dangerous biohazardous materials might be something worth purchasing. Im pleased I did it. A small price to pay for the protection it provides. The last HVAC system lasted 21 years with annual servicing. Lets hope this new one does the same. The brand I ordered was not available so they upgraded the order to a more efficient model, free of charge. Thank you, Snowflake Air!

Michael and Jose did an excellent job from coming over to pre inspect my (hot) upstairs bonus room, attic, electrical, etc. Then provided a competitive solution with a ductless heat pump to cool that area down efficiently. If you have a heating or cooling issue with your HVAC, do yourself a favor and call Snowflake Air!I had an issue that required recearch and extra parts to fix. I had received several bids from several of the other “big reputable” companies in the area to fix the problem. The bids were several thousands of dollars and involved a complete overhaul of my furance and duct work. I found it difficult to beleive that a house that was built less than 10 years ago would have such issues requiring such drastic and exstensive rework to solve the issue.I decided to call Micheal and asked if he could help. They sent someone the same day to look at the issue. Micheal was able to find the source of the issue and within a few day had located a replacement part and was able to install it. The best part of this was that not only did the part work and my issues were solved, they were able to complete the job quickly and final cost was under what they had originally quoted.Quick, reliable and very cost effective. These are the words I would describe the service at Snowflake Air.
