Ben was our technician today. He performed a very thorough job on the initial inspection and service needs of our heater and air conditioner. Further, he spent time adjusting settings on the thermostat to optimize performance of this equipment. Great attitude and great work - Drake will be back!Turns out, Drake was back in November when our family woke up to no heating. Thankfully, Ben was the on call technician. As expected, he did a thorough job of diagnosing the problem, made needed part replacements. Drakes service is superb - highly recommend this company for all heating and cooling needs!

Jordan and his partner went above and beyond to get us up and going. I had already attempted to unclog my sewer to the city side and was not successful. Jordan spent roughly 5 hours over 2 days in order to make my home habitable again. Jordan really knew his stuff and was a pleasure to chat with during our time huddled around the clean out. I know it’s not cheap, but you’re paying for a professional service that I have experienced to be top notch.

This team of plumbers saved me three separate times in the past two months with plumbing emergencies regarding my one toilet and my one kitchen sink. Had to replace AC, furnace, & water heater this summer. I want to thank Drake and Bryson. Bryson installed the AC/Furnace after a couple of days I noticed water was leaking out of my AC. I called Drake and explained what was going on. Bryson came out this past Friday and put in a safety switch on the secondary gravity drain. Leak stopped for about six hours then the secondary safety switch popped. Contacted Bryson that evening and the next morning he was out at my house. After troubleshooting with Bryson we decided to try a straight line drain from the Primary gravity drain line. That fixed the issue I was having. Also need to give a shout out to Jon Kitson on the plumbing side. Solid individual that knows his plumbing!

I had the main sewer line plug, so I called Drake Plumbing Mechanical. The mechanic plumber assessed the situation, then gave me a bid that I thought was excessively high, so I refused their help. I rented a snake from Tates Rents and spent the next 2 1/2 hours trying to unclog the sewage line unsuccessfully. I had to humble myself and I called them back. The mechanics then snaked the line, and I paid the fee. Three days later it plugged again, and they came back and snaked it again. They only charged me for my first encounter, and did not charge for the second two hour response. I would highly recommend Drake mechanical for any plumbing needs and even though they may seem high they stand by their work in the long run they’re very Inexpensive. I would not hesitate to recommend them to all my family and friends.

Bryce came out on an emergency call and fixed the problem in no time. He also found another problem that required a new furnace installation. Bryce was very knowledgeable about what options we had and was able to get us a high quality furnace and air conditioner. They were great! The hot water at my business lost all pressure. I called a different plumber and they came in and said we would have to replace the whole thing because it had a crack in the interior, but they wouldnt be able to replace it until the next day. I called my contractor and asked who installed the water heater in the first place and he said Drake. I called them to see if they could replace the water heater the same day. Within an hour they had sent someone out to look at it, turns out it wasnt cracked it just had some sticky valves, they took care of them in less than a hour, were super friendly and saved me a ton of money! I highly recommend them.

I wanted to update my post. 8/28/2023I have used Drake Mechanical for years and they have been amazing. Recently my young daughter had an issue with her water heater. The people she called from the number on the water heater said they would charge her $250.00 just to come out! I called Drake Mechanical and they came right out for half of that! On a Sunday the plumber came out and got her taken care of. It was such a relief to know that my daughter and her young kids had hot water. I would recommend them to anyone looking for great service and kind people.Amazing Service!I use them for everything and they always take amazing care of my clients.

We had an emergency and we were referred to Drake by a trusted friend. Greg came out right away and found a clog in our mainline causing an overflow. It took a couple visits but seems to be doing great now. First visit cost was very reasonable!! We all thought it was good-to-go, but we needed a follow-up a few days later- Drake were extremely busy but Greg came out the day after the call and found an unusual underlying issue, and was able to fix it that day. Second visit cost was about what you’d expect from any premium plumber, i doubt many people will have to worry about a second visit for the same reason though. We would definitely use again and recommend. We are so grateful for the work! Greg was awesome. Sincere thanks Greg! and Drake!

We used Drake Mechanical at my work, when our pipes froze. John and Matt came out within 30 minutes of calling and were able to assess the issues right away. Based on their expert advise, we had the pipes replaced and we were back in business. Their estimate was right on, with no surprises. Drake Mechanical has been helping me for at least 33 years. Through the years they have always done the highest quality work and always saved me money. I would NEVER call anyone else to help with my plumbing, heating, and air conditioning problems. When I could have easily been charged at least twice as much, they have always been honest and saved me money. Please dont even THINK about calling another company. All the workers are the best in town. Today Tom Bullock came to my (very old) house and diagnosed the problem. He will be coming back with new pipes and maybe another worker to fix the major problem soon...maybe today or certainly early next week. Please call Drake Mecnanical for any problems. Called Drake Mechanical on a Wednesday to make an appointment to have a technician come out and see what it would take to connect our new gas cooktop. The nice lady on the phone said the next available time would be Monday. I asked if it was possible for an earlier date she said she would give me a call if there was a cancelled appointment. The next morning (Thursday) I received a call from her and said a technician can be over in an hour. The technician (Tom) arrived in 45 minutes and was very courteous and professional. I explained how I would like to have things cleaned up in the cabinet space under the cooktop and he was quick giving me the best option. We agreed to the price and he stated the work. Tom worked quickly and in a short time the new cooktop fired up. His job looks so much better than how it was before and he even helped turn on the pilot light on our water heater. From the first phone call to the at home appointment, I am pleased with the two people who help me and I will recommend them to others. Thanks a bunch.

I called Drake Mechanical on a Tuesday and they scheduled me for a non-emergency service call on the following Thursday morning. Thursday morning they called before 08:00 and arrived before 8:30. They gave me 2 options for work I wasnt sure how to proceed on, then changed out 2 hose bibs in a tight area of a crawl space and tightened and caulked a tub spout. Price was not cheap, but not outside the range I anticipated. Bottom line is they promised what I needed, showed up when they promised and did excellent work.

My house is almost 80 years old, and it came with plumbing problems from the get-go. I used to call around to see who could come out soonest, but not anymore. Ive had the best luck with Drake and have been using them exclusively for the past couple years.When the gears wore out in my tub faucet, I was really in a pinch. They came the next day to do a quick fix and followed up later to diagnose a secondary problem I had asked about (a problem that another company had been unable to fix years before). Matt and John were honest and competent. They gave me a great price on the quick fix and a very good estimate on the more complex problem. I feel like Im in good hands!

My family has used Drake Mechanical since I was a child (Im in my 70s). The technician was very informative and answered my questions thoroughly. He also was there to check 2 broken toilets. He told me what to do to get the one toilet running by fixing ourselves. Told us what we needed and wed be saving hundreds of dollars. The other toilet is more technical and will have to wait, but now have working toilet and hot water! So happy.

Our technician was super nice and professional. Seemed to know a lot about plumbing. The service ended up being a bit more expensive then a lot of other places. We were able to get an appointment the same week we called which was really nice. The tech really looked at everything and let us know other stuff that needed work and what to expect to come up. We have heard these problems before so it wasnt a surprise but was great to see he was noticing other problems.

I have used Drake Mechanical for a number of years for both my business and my home, for both plumbing and HVAC. After my recent experience I just had to write about the service.I returned home on a day in our stretch of high 90s and my A/C was not running. I called Drake like I usually do and expected a weeks wait because of the flurry of problems in the valley (I had two friends whos A/C went out recently and that was their wait time to even get someone to look at their problem) but the Drake technician managed to stop by the first thing the next day. It appears the years of cottonwood fluff had finally killed my unit. He attempted to get it to force start first, in order to keep the cost down but the thing was just stuck after all the years. He wrote up a quote on a couple of systems and left it for me to decide. Once I had made up my mind he was out the next day and had the thing installed in about 5 hours and the total matched the estimate, no overages at all, and the estimate was even lower that the tech had warned me about when I asked about the general costs of replacement.Almost all of this was handled over the phone as I had such a busy week with two sons leaving for the service. There were no real hiccups and three days from my unit going down my house was back under 72 degrees where I like it.Over the years I have called Drake at all hours of the day for different problems and always had a reasonably timed response. All the technicians that I have dealt with have been experience and professional and most of all respectful. I choose to deal with them because they are a local company and I have never had problems getting a hold of someone to help with a problem. I may also be more patient that others being a native Idahoan that is used to there being a limited amount of resources in the valley to get things done. If you want good solid service from a company that isnt part of the the national cut corners version of business that is becoming more and more common then I highly recommend at least giving Drake a try.

Since it was late in the day, he showed me how to restart the furnace to get me thru the night and then replaced one of the needed parts that was available.
