Dave was fantastic. Called him one evening for a slow draining tub and he was there the next morning and quickly got it sorted out at a very fair price. We just bought our home, while he was there he did a very thorough inspection and it was obvious he knew the ins and outs of a variety of plumbing challenges and how to address them. Having had Dave as my plumbing specialist for over seven years I am very happy and eager to recommend him and his business Daves Drain Service! An under-counter sewage/waste water ejector in my daylight basement apartment had died and was overflowing so I called Dave. Instead of making an appointment to come over and fix the issue at weekend emergency rates, Dave walked me through a fix that within minutes had everything working perfectly and gave me instructions as to how to prevent future issues. In a perfect world I would like to think that any other plumber would have done the same foregoing an easy and considerable service charge, but in my experience that just isnt so. Dave is fair, honest, knowledgeable and THE ONE TO CALL!

First time we used Dave he determined that we had a blockage on the citys side, and he helped us contact the city and get them to pay for it. Fun is not the first word most people probably think of when it comes to situations necessitating a plumber, but the professionalism, candor, and just general niceness of the Daves Drain Service crew made my dishwashers dysfunction as enjoyable an experience as it could possibly be. And they’re funny! Of course, this happened on a Saturday; Dave was out when he said hed be, knew the issue right away, and didnt charge me for his visit because he needed to obtain a part. He and his colleague returned on Monday, when they said they would, made short work of the problem, charged me fairly for fixing it, and were on their way in well under an hour. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Three years after the review below, I called Dave again for another drain unclog. Again, hes the best in the business here in Boise and does a great job for less than 1/3 of his competitors. Dave knows what he is doing and cares about his customers. He is a completely different company than those that demand $50 to show up at your door just to tell you how much you need to bend over to use their services, while they empty your wallet. Dave is a gem and I hope he stays in business at least until I move away from this California annex.Thanks Dave!===========================This company is one of those wonderful (almost gone) American institutions. A small owner operator business. These guys did a great job unplugging my main drain. They did a very professional job and at a very reasonable price. Its a great thing to find a good competent person in charge of the company doing the work himself. You dont have to pay for large management (slacker) salaries like you do for the big name companies. I have dealt with numerous plumbers in Boise, and none were near as honest, knowledgeable, and able to fix a variety of plumbing issues so quickly and affordable. I am so happy to have found him and will continue to use him and refer him to friends and family. Dave replaced a water heater under my house, fixed a toilet and replaced a sink, all over the holidays, quickly and efficiently. I just did a partial remodel of my kitchen and replaced the counter tops sink and faucet. I got a couple of bids from the the Big Box Truck plumbing companies in Boise which had me thinking about going to plumbing school myself to save on the high cost of services in Boise. Then I called Dave and my worries were taken care of. Not only were his prices more than one half less than the other plumbing companies but Dave was willing to work on my schedule to get the job done, including coming on Saturday to do the work. When my countertop installation was delayed, Dave assured me that he would be available to install the new faucet and reinstall the plumbing within a day of the countertops going in. He even offered to do it the day the counter tops were put in by working my project into his schedule. He did an excellent job and even went beyond my expectations when he leveled the dishwasher and installed a garbage disposal when he discovered the old one was leaking and needed to be replaced. Dave did outstanding work, was on-time, neat, clean and stuck to the original estimate for services. I did pay a very reasonable cost for the garbage disposal, but it was fair price and less than it would have cost to pick one up at any of the home improvement stores. I like Dave and the service he provided far exceeded my expectations. He did quality work at more than fair prices and worked with me to get the water back on to my kitchen in the quickest time possible. I would recommend Dave to anyone looking for a plumber and will use him for any future plumbing needs. Dave is now my go to guy for any plumbing work I need done. You should call him if you need a plumber.

We got our washer and dryer installed but there was a leak and other issues that arose. We found Dave and he was able to come out to the house on the same day that we needed him. We had an outdoor water leak of unknown origin. We had a sprinkler guy and another plumber out before Dave. We wanted a second opinion but didnt want to wait.Dave answered his phone right away and was out within an hour (all competitors were at least 5 hours out). He quickly diagnosed the problem and told us what would need to happen.We had to dig out our yard to get to the leak. Dave helped us find someone to do it (at a reasonable cost), and came right out after the pipe was accessible. On a Saturday! He showed us what was wrong, and replaced what was needed same day.The price was very reasonable. Dave and his guy were funny, fast, and trustworthy. Excellent response time and good work. Will absolutely use him again.

Dave just replaced a pair of 19 year old leaking water heaters. His response time is excellent, he walked me through the entire replacement process, he used much better equipment than what is selling at the big box stores and his quote, which he stuck to, was half that of the other two large plumbing contractors that bid the job. He was also insistent on bringing my system up to code and educating me as to the reasons why. No reason to mess with bids in the future, I am confident Dave will do the best job.

I really appreciate someone that has a lot of experience and chooses to use it wisely and for the good. After explaining to Dave that some services told me I needed a ____ and Id like his bid, the first question he asked me was How do you know that you need ____? let me look at it myself. Then he proposed a fix that 4 previous services hadnt even offered, or maybe even thought of. He was in and out in minimal time. He also proceeded to answer all my questions that I had gained from listening to other proposals, and he helped me realize how much fear tactics plays in to this line or work. Hes quite passionate about his trade, and it shows through his work. I also appreciate that he said I dont care what zip code you live in, I charge the same rate. I saw some reviews about getting ahold of him, all I gotta say is that he is a busy guy, best to over communicate with him, he means well. Solid guy and a solid plumber. Ill definitely be sharing his info.

I attempted to clean out a main drain line myself. But the snake I rented wasn’t up to the job. I called Dave and he gave me a quote over the phone, was out as scheduled, took care of the job quickly efficiently and for what he said it would cost. He’s very personable and knowledgeable and will explain what he’s doing. He even looked over the rest of the plumbing in the house for free and his work was guaranteed for 60 days. We had Dave come out to clean our drain. Ended up having a lot of tree roots in the line and sewer pipe was cracked. Had to dig down to sewer pipe, replace pipe and sewer clean out. Job took longer then he thought because of our sprinkler system and an electrical line. Also bought and installed a new toilet for us. He had quoted a price before hand and he stayed with that price even though it took longer than he thought. We were very pleased with Dave and his crew. Dave gave me a lower quote to do replace my garbage disposal than the other Plumbers I called. He came out and pulled a wash cloth out of the kitchen drain that I didnt realize had slipped down there and said the garbage disposal wasnt the problem the washcloth was. He said the garbage disposal doesnt need to be replaced at all, its in great shape. He didnt even charge me for a service call! He said he believes in being honest and not replacing things that dont need to be replaced. I am beyond impressed with his level of integrity. Thank you Dave!
