    I received a coupon voucher in the mail for a furnace inspection. The whole process was seamless and very professional, from the scheduling to accommodate my weird work schedule, to reminder texts, and a text including the name and photo of the technician that would be completing the work. Kyle was very professional, thorough, patient and honest when explaining things and answering my questions. I felt comfortable with him in my home. For all of these reasons, I will more than likely look to Summers for future maintenance needs and new installs. Your voucher worked!

    Had plumbing and HVAC installed. Happily had John and Austin with support from Bill on the plumbing. Excellent customer service, kind and considerate. I could ask questions and get strong answers back.For HVAC working with Tom was extremely helpful, he gave me good insights on what each unit could do for me. For the installation Rob and Roberto did an excellent job, their communication with each other as well as the walk through we did together was stellar.

    Chad brown is the coolest!!!! I am one of those DIY’ers that know just enough to be dangerous! While installing a new microwave I hit the upstairs drainage pipe with one of the mounting screws! UGH! I called Summers as an “emergency call” in a panic because I wasn’t sure what I hit! Drainage? Copper pipe?? Chad walked me through turning off the water main until he got there. He got here quick and fixed everything right away! Whew!!!! Thank God for the Summer’s Home Maintenance plan too! TOTALLY WORTH THE MONEY! I was able to finally get the new microwave installed too! WHOOP! WHOOP!

    Bill, our service man, was terrific. He was able to repair our water heater without our having to replace it.     I’ve been using Summers for five years and highly recommend! They are excellent about communicating appointments and are transparent about the cost, which is very reasonable. They visit three times a year for maintenance of the heating, cooling, and plumbing. Max recently came to check our AC and was quick and knowledgeable. I never expected such excellent customer service from techs until Summers, and now I cant imagine using anyone else.

    Bill did a great job helping us figure out the reason for some noises coming from our pipes. He was determined to figure out the issue, even though it wasn’t immediately clear. Now our pipes are quiet, and Bill was even kind enough to give us some pointers if it ever occurs again. Great experience!

    Curtis was great! Very nice guy and answered all my questions. He even noticed the toilet in the basement bathroom that keeps running and fixed it for me! Added bonus, he was great with my super hyper puppy! Definitely recommend Summers in Bloomington IN!

    Had a wonderful experience today with Curtis Lowder. We recently sign up for their service plan and today was the plumbing checkup. He found a couple of issues I didn’t know about and repaired a couple more. Highly recommend Summers Plumbing Heating & Cooling. The other three technicians I’ve encountered were also great to work with!

    I scheduled online via Google over the weekend and they reached out first thing Monday morning to confirm. They were able to get someone out right away that morning. Bill was pleasant and efficient, explaining services and replacing a toilet supply valve all in about 30 minutes. Very pleased and will be using for service moving forward.

    Max (our tech) was a delight! The customer service (over the phone and in person) simply cant be beat. He listened with enthusiasm to my sons questions and jokes, and cuddled with our doggos. Max very knowledgeably answered all of our new home owner questions and walked us through each step of the required quarterly maintenance. The office staff that called ahead for scheduling were equally as genuine and lovely. Giving my highest recommendation!

    Summers has performed HVAC and plumbing maintenance in my home for several years. They are not always the cheapest option, but you get what you pay for: they are professional, well organized, and stand behind their work. The plumbers and HVAC technicians I have interacted with have taken the time to explain their plans and their work, making sure my expectations are met before and after service.Elijah has taken the time to walk me through the replacement options for an aging HVAC system and answer all the questions I had. There has been no pressure in the process. I ultimately purchased a high efficiency heat pump system. The variable fan and continuous airflow has reduced the temperature differential between floors in my bilevel home.After a plumbing inspection, Danny showed me areas to watch for potential future issues, told me a few small things I could easily take care of myself to prevent future issues, and a couple fixes to consider in the short-term. He took the time to answer the questions I had and there was no pressure to schedule the fixes. I did schedule a preventative maintenance job, knowing that Summers will be around to stand my their with.

    First off I wanna say that Andrew Hay was very knowledgeable when he came to quote me on a new unit, very professional and was very helpful finding what works best for me, he was very engaging talking over the plan, also I used summers before and I like they way they handle business, they take care of the problem and very reasonable they take care of there customers definitely. So for the experience Ive had with them, I got there service plan and they will be my company, definitely I will be using them for my upgrade in hvac and all plumbing maintenance. Good job to the whole team and how they conduct there business, and for the owner they spoke highly of you, and good job running a good reliable business with good techs and showing them how you want it done. Also like to say thanks to Curtis I now got the marble vanity top installed, he did a good job and he was careful how he put it on and made sure it was sealed in every place thanks it looks good, he definitely went the extra mile. 7/31/23 I am very happy today with diondre service today makes good talk and very professional its a win in my books thank you for being speedy and professional he was here on plumbing maintenance yearly check.

    Our repair experience with Summers was outstanding. Curtis was punctual, knowledgeable, courteous, and professional in every regardl. I especially appreciate how soon he responded to our service request, how well he diagnosed and explained the problem and necessary repairs, and how quickly and neatly he performed all the work in a tight space. That Curtis managed this without making any extra work for us to patch up drywall and even came in under his initial work estimate is beyond impressive. Had an emergency that had me call his personal line at 8pm and walked me through getting heat to my house in subfreezing weather.     As we were trying to replace our shower controller cartridge, we broke a pvc pipe in the wall, and it was a Saturday. Luckily, Bill from Summers was able to come fix the pipe and install a new shower controller. He did an excellent job: called before arriving to make sure he understood our needs, arrived when he said he would, worked efficiently and expertly, and cleaned up afterward. Bill was pleasant and easy to work with. Should we have a plumbing need in the future, we’d love to have Bill do the work.

    Kyle came today for a planned seasonal check of our heating system. His inspection was very thorough and he had pictures to document all findings and recommendations. He was to obtain parts to replace some suspect components that may not have made it through the winter. He was assisted in repairs by Caleb, another technician. The two techs also installed and set up an Ecobee3 smart thermostat and patiently taught me how to use it. I have consistently been impressed by the professionalism of the Summers technicians.

    I was very impressed with the service I received from the team at Summers. Travis was kind and professional when he fixed the leak in my laundry closet. He told me all about their service plan which I signed up for immediately. I recently purchased the condo I had rented for the past 10 years and knew the appliances were almost 20 years old. Curtis was also great. He flushed the water heater and checked all the water fixtures quickly. He answered all of my questions and was very patient. Eli checked my heating and discovered my heat pump was no longer working. Thank goodness I signed up for the service plan. I enjoyed talking to Eli about his job and appreciated how proud he was to be working for Summers. I was especially impressed that the company donates regularly to the Hoosier Hills Food Bank which is the same organization I support, too. Eli explained all the options they had available for a new HVAC system and water heater. I knew it would be a great investment to my home to upgrade to brand new energy efficient appliances. 5 days later Rob, David and Curtis were installing everything in less than 7 hours. Everyone was so friendly and respectful! I have never felt so at ease with people I had just met in my home. You could tell that they genuinely loved their jobs and cared about the quality of their work. I loved how excited Rob was to show me how to set up the app for my thermostat. Summers has a classy group of individuals working for them. Even the 2 people I talked to on the phone were pleasant. I look forward to my partnership with them. Im so glad Travis told me about their service plan. You have a customer for life! Thank you for all you did for me!

    Elijah was amazing! He came out for a second opinion after Peterman told us we needed an entirely new system. Elijah educated me about our current system and made necessary repairs. I cancelled my peterman membership and signed up for Summers while he completed the repairs. So glad we found a service we can trust!!

    I had my first plumbing inspection through Summers as part of their maintenance plan and was incredibly impressed. Danny arrived within just a few minutes of me getting the call that he would be on his way. He was incredibly thorough with his work, making sure he hadnt missed anything as he inspected in my home. I appreciated the explanation of what was going on in all aspects of the plumbing infrastructure in my house, including what may be a higher priority to fix or replace now vs. what may need work down the road. He was also super friendly and I did not feel any pressure to say yes to any services once he was finished. As a new-ish homeowner I still have a lot to learn about these kinds of things and this was a really great introduction to using Summers maintenance plans!

    Wow! Just wow! Called Summers at 7:00 pm after coming home and discovering a 90 degree house. The tech was in the neighborhood and headed right over! It is now 7:53. The tech has arrived, fixed the issue with their large inventory of parts and has headed out! AC working as good as new in literally less than an hour from discovering it wasn’t working. Elijah and Caleb were absolutely amazing. Extremely professional, kind, and explanatory. The tech not only didn’t mind me watching him work, but explained everything he was doing and how he was fixing the issue. AND THEN he explained proper maintenance on my specific unit. (Some allow for coil cleaner but mine does not.) These guys really care about their profession and their customers. To say this was a great experience is an understatement.     Update- on one of the hottest days of the year so far my compressor failed and I had no air conditioning. The replacement part was ordered and delivered quickly and Caleb and Kyle installed it in record time. I continue to be impressed by Summers professionalism and quality work.Summers arrived to repair a leaky showerhead and to provide estimates to install 3 bathroom faucets and a kitchen sink. I was very surprised and happy that Curtis and Caleb completed everything that same day. The sink was problematic but Curtis was determined to install it and he got it done!     Summers was absolutely incredible!Elijah Burgoon came in and gave us a fair assessment of our geothermal heating and cooling unit. He was amazingly honest with the condition of the unit and parts that may be available for a unit manufactured in 1989! Everything Elijah stated was what we knew from the independent home inspection we had done six weeks earlier when purchasing our home.We got a second opinion from a competitor. It was exactly in the time frame originally quoted!Rob and Dave came in and got their bearings around the installation. I did so after waiting 5 days for a local (well known) small business to return our calls and provide us with a quote for a routine replacement of a 50 gallon gas water heater. Our water heater had started leaking from the overflow and was not heating well.I first spoke with Brian at Summers answering service about a potential appointment. Brian was friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. I called back later in the day and they were able to connect us with the Bloomington location, and actually sent Curtis Lowder out to meet with us late on a Friday afternoon. They phoned us 30 minutes prior to arrival to let us know that he was on his way.We met with Curtis who was professional, extremely knowledgeable, experienced, personable, on time, took great pride in his work/quality/service, and seemed very honest and dependable…(We’ve found that these are qualities rarely encountered these days in our area). His knowledgeable friendly demeanor was an excellent example of what it’s like to begin to build a long term trustworthy & reliable rapport with another business. We are small business owners ourselves and seek out other businesses to utilize their services for the long term.Curtis provided us with recommendations and options for repair vs replace with NO sales pressure either way. He gave us his best advice on temporary repairs if needed, but with the fair replacement price (1/2 of the other local company’s high pressure quote for a tank actually way too large for our house). Our current 50 gallon water heater was 27+ years old, and we knew even though it could be repaired its days were likely numbered. So, we opted to replace.Ultimately, we are quite satisfied and relieved that we were connected with Curtis from Summers Plumbing Heating & Cooling in Bloomington, Indiana. So much so that not only did we decide to get a new water heater, but we decided to give them our business on a yearly house “Maintenance Plan” that will take care of our furnace, air conditioner, 2 Mini-split units, as well as keep an eye on our plumbing for the whole house. (We’ve faithfully given that service business for years to another competitor, but we were so impressed specifically by Curtis that we decided to switch!).Curtis was also happy to provide advice for how Summers could provide additional affordable services for our future projects as well. We live out in the country and Curtis had a very long commute back home on a Friday night, but he gave us his full attention and time to answer any questions or concerns we had.To our surprise, Curtis will also be the one to come back to install this Monday! He indicated house maintenance customers routinely are assigned the same repair person to build a trusted rapport with the client. Quite frankly…living way out in the country… we always prefer to know the repair person who is coming and we’ve found that someone familiar with our home & ourselves typically results in consistent, honest, trustworthy and affordable service.For now, I will say Summers was fast, on time, knowledgeable, experienced, honest, and best of all thankfully affordable.     Over Memorial weekend the great grandkids bath playtime was interrupted when water dripping down into basement was discovered. Oh no! From a marble tub with no access and we feared the worst! Called Summers Tuesday morning and Alex was here in about an hour (amazing) and running up & down steps checking everything & quickly zeroed in on the problem that fortunately was an easy fix not requiring contractors. Whew! Alex was so thorough and informative and super nice! He even checked out the sump pump & alarm for me that had been a recent concern at no extra charge. A real weight off my mind.     Chad Brown came to our home to do a plumbing check and then again later in the week to install a new kitchen faucet. He was punctual, friendly, and knowledgeable. He completed all the needed work and made sure everything was perfect before leaving. During the first visit, he unclogged a bathroom sink and found a set of expensive earring that one of our children had dropped down the sink! We would definitely trust him to work in our home anytime it’s needed!

    Today we had our annual maintenance call for our furnace and I couldnt be more impressed with the technician, Kyle. First, there was an accident on his primary route so he had to take some back roads to get here which was going to make him late. He called to inform us he would be 15 minutes late. Weve had service people be two hours late and never give us a call. After he completed the furnace check-up, he spent 15 minutes reviewing his findings. He showed us pictures on his tablet of his gauges and the parts of the furnace as he explained his findings. Weve always had good service calls from Summers but Kyle took it to another level. Being able to see pictures of the gauges on his equipment as he explained his findings made a huge difference in our ability to understand what he was telling us. He was exceptionally professional and thorough. He is an outstanding representative of your company.

But sometimes “someday” happens very suddenly and all kinds of decisions need to be made without much advance preparation.That’s what happened to me. They had a full schedule but Alex was here an hour or so later and fixed the problem in no time. He was so very nice, professional, thorough and informative. After fixing the leak issue I thought of another issue wed had with sump pump & its alarm, and Alex was right on the trail to that issue as well and, again, took care of it.And 36 hours after putting in service/estimate request to now-former plumber weve still not heard back from them.     Highly recommend this company! I had such a great experience with Travis on an emergency plumbing visit.
