He helped me talk through the issue, the cause (the age of my system), and gave me options including being honest that most interventions they could employ might not be effective or cost effective, which I appreciated. ~$130 for the diagnosis visit. I called on a Monday and they showed up first thing Tuesday.

Our HVAC technician, Glen, made very quick work of the issue we were having when our unit stopped blowing cool air. He got our unit back up and running within 15 minutes and was minimallyinvasive throughout the service. He even showed us the broken part he replaced. Commercial Service is solid at what they do and have responded swiftly to the two calls I’ve made since moving into my new house. Highly recommend!

I came home from a long weekend away to find my air conditioner went kaplooey! As the weekend was in the mid upper 90s, I called commercial service at Sunday late afternoon and received a return call almost immediately. Glen, the technician on call, clearly explained what the costs may be on a Sunday evening and verified I wanted to get it addressed immediately rather than wait until Monday. He was out here promptly and quickly found and resolved the issue. He was kind enough to explain the whole process to me and what was going on and the workings of the HVAC system which I was very curious about. I’ve used Commercial Service for three decades now and have always had excellent work by their teams. I felt that the price was fair and being assured of a cool house during these hot days made it worth it all that much more!

After purchasing an old home in Bloomington, replaced 2 systems a couple years ago and added a mini-split for a four season room. Prior to replacement, I had Commercial Services out for an HVAC inspection on a 17-year old unit and 24-year old unit and, separately, a very thorough plumbing inspection (and some minor repairs there). Everything from initial inspections to sales to service has run quite well. Timeframes quoted were achieved and everyone was quite experienced, with one of the most experienced/knowledgeable being the sales guy, Joe Garman. Nick in service has also been quite helpful. Every technician sent has been friendly and has known what they were doing. Jeremy was out today on routine service and a minor repair. He was very helpful and knowledgeable. Appreciate all of their help and feel like our HVAC situation is in great hands.

Glad to share a specific detail that may be reassuring, especially to those on a fixed income: Glen advised me as he named that id be his second call on Sunday morning and that my financial responsibility would begin as his driving to my home would begin. I cringed. Really?! This emergency service is quoted at $302. per hour. He guided that if i waited to Monday, the cost is $137. per hour. Yet, my dog and i are melting! I confirm this emergency order for Sunday morning. The good news: my total cost = one hour of labor plus cost of replacement part!! Details: Glen had to dig out the a.c. utility box on the outside wall hidden under a bunch of ivy. This woke up a swarm of mosquitoes that caused him to douse himself - twice - with his mosquito repellant! Glen switched out the broken part, did a full a.c. inspection while monitoring the a.c. functioning, plus billed for the travel time and accomplished all within ONE hour. Thank you, Glen. Glad to sing your praises!!

On morning Monday, when I woke up, and I noticed that my air conditioning wasn’t working properly, I knew who to call. At quarter till one, a technician came to work until he finished his job: a few minutes after 4 in the afternoon. It would’ve been awesome if he would’ve stayed a little bit longer to double check his work, but he didn’t. It was today, two days later, after the original job was done, a second technician came and checked it and told me that it was well done but a wire wasn’t connected properly and that’s why my air-conditioning wasn’t cooling down. The company fixed what needed to be fixed, did what was right, and left along the way, a satisfied customer.

Revising this review after working with them a bit more. The plumbers came out to fix a simple valve issue in my shower, but they spotted a larger problem behind the wall that made for a risky repair (brittle old CPVC). Several years ago I decided to replace our HVAC system. I got estimates and interviewed 4 or 5 local HVAC contractors. I am very happy at choosing Commercial Service. I have them come out and inspect and do maintenance twice yearly, and I know that I made a good investment and that my system is in good hands. The Commercial staff Ive met are all courteous, knowledgeable, and professional.

Nothing but praise for this outfit - even though we didnt have a contract, they showed up same-day when our furnace quit, assessed the problem, gave good explanations, and a reasonable time and $$ estimate for a replacement furnace. The installation was quick, neat and well-done, and one of the techs even stopped by later that week with a free replacement part he had found for our old Aprilaire filter housing. The new Trane furnace blows better than our old Carrier ever did. Thanks guys!
