    We had a great experience with Joe Laconb, a skilled technician from Mr. Electric. Our office had been without lights for weeks, after multiple delays from another electrical company. Joe quickly diagnosed the problem, ordered the necessary parts, and had everything fixed the very next day. We were impressed by his professionalism and efficiency. As a plumbing company, Roto-Rooter Austin will definitely continue to rely on Mr. Electric for future electrical needs. Thank you for your outstanding service!

    The job was to convert fan/light fixture from incandescent bulbs and dimmer to LED bulbs and LED dimmer. I had done the job myself but it quit working after 1 hour. The electrician, Noble Duran, was meticulous about checking all the circuits. Then researched and found an LED bulb and LED dimmer that are compatible. It works perfect now. There is no substitute for a skilled professional! And the price was reasonable.

    Max Mad did a full rebuild of our main panel, sub panel, brought our entire system on an old house up to code including all permits, grounding and surge protection. Installed a dedicated circuit for an EV plug in the garage. Super professional and knowledgeable electrician! Every step of the way he was there to answer our questions and provide us with solutions and costing options for any possible amendment we wanted to make to the contract. I highly recommend mr electric, but be sure to ask for Max Mad. Also mr electric was the cheapest quote we had for the rebuild. So great value there as well.

    Panel upgrade and installationManaged the power off and reconnect with local electrical provider - I had to initiate but once ticket in James managed it from there. James also remedied previous wiring issues and advised on what to expect.Great service would recommend to anyone needing electrical work done.Also used some supplies I had already purchased and worked with me on the estimate.

    I wasn’t expecting an electrician from Mr. Electric until the afternoon. Got a text and said one could come over around 11:15 am. Rick Ingram arrived and began to trouble shoot problems I was having with 4 plugs, three of which were tied to a gfi in the kitchen. We had had some remodeling done which brought on the issues. After some checking of plugs Rick determined he could not solve the issue without looking behind the Sheetrock. He said they don’t cut into Sheetrock so I got my saw and began cutting. We found the areas where wires had been joined together and upon examining, Rick saw that the wires were not twisted together properly and had come apart so he twisted and capped the wires. Problems were solved except for the gfi switch He tested it again and saw his tester blink so he installed a new gfi switch which I had purchased and everything is now fixed. Rick continued to problem solve until he tracked down the problem and fixed it. All done at a great price which included my senior discount. I am so glad I called Mr. Electric and so glad Rick responded to the call. He is a nice, friendly, and knowledgeable professional. I’ve got a couple of holes to patch but peace of mind concerning solving the electrical problems is more than worth it.

    Max from Mr. Electric came out and did an amazing job with the work at my house. He asked clarifying questions to make sure my needs were thoroughly met. I got multiple quotes before starting the work and went with Max because he took the time to understand the problem, every other company just wanted to do the assessment without my input, hand me a quote and leave.Max literally found the amperage rating for each of my tools before making suggestions. 👏👏👏He also made my house safer and my garage workshop safer for my kids by thinking through useful upgrades like a locked switch for my power tool outlets. He was kind and patient with me and would recommend him to anyone. If you need electrical done right ask for Max at Mr Electric.

    Timely and competent service. Kevin Hernandez was very professional, educational, and supportive.     RESTORATION HARDWARE - 2 Helix chandelier installation - 300lbs each.I initially had an engagement with another company who were at my house on and off for 6 weeks (yes 6 weeks!) . They never completed the installation. I was left with open wires in my attic and the cost of expensive equipment recommended by them.I was about to return the chandeliers and made a call to Mr. Electric as a last resort.Mr Electric completed the installation in under 2 days.What truly impressed me was the technicians( Zack) expertise and precision during the installation process. It was evident that they had extensive experience with complex installations, and they executed this task flawlessly. The chandeliers were hung securely, and the wiring and connections were handled with utmost care and expertise. Furthermore, Zack took the time to walk me through the entire process, demonstrating a commitment to transparency and ensuring that I was satisfied with the work being done.In addition to his technical skill, I was delighted to see the unwavering commitment to safety. Given the weight and position of these fixtures, safety was a top priority. Zack went above and beyond, double-checking all connections and ensuring that everything was stable and secure.     Had a great experience with Mr Electric who had been referred to us by our plumber! Max was our electrician and he was wonderful. Took the time to thoroughly explain the issue and then went to get the supplies needed to fix the issue all in a day so we weren’t inconvenienced.     I dont write many service reviews, but I really wanted to recognize how great our service was in this case. After calling we were assigned an electrician, Douglas Boyd, for an appointment the following day. He came out and assessed our needs and gave us a comprehensive rundown of our homes status and our options for needed and optional work. He provided pictures of the work areas and clear explanations of everything so that we could make some informed decisions. He was both professional, kind, and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience and that our needs were met.He is by far the best electrician Ive ever worked with and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a skilled electrician in the Austin area. Ive already shared his info with my neighbors, family, and realtor :)

    We could not get the dryer to work so we replaced it and the dryer still would not work. Joe showed up and investigated the issue and realized that the electrical wiring needed to be replaced. Joe showed up at 8 AM the next morning, Worked outside the house, inside the house, and in the attic (Texas Heat Mind you) and by noon the dryer was running again. Imagine if I would’ve contacted him sooner I would not have had a replace my dryer……….

    Used the firm to replace an entry chandelier (21’ ceiling) with a speciality dual motor ceiling fan. Both techs showed up on time and also provided us with about a 30 minute notice which was helpful given this is a new home we do not yet occupy. They performed a thorough safety check which was much appreciated given this is a new home and provided some very helpful information regarding gfi circuits and details on a sub panel that had been installed for an EV. They completed the work timely and for a very reasonable amount. I have at least two other pending electrical projects and we will be using Mr. Electric and requesting John!! Highest rating.

    Our power went wonky during the recent storm. We had some electricity but no A/C. The lights and fans were fading and would go off randomly. Joe showed up on time and quickly determined that the COA needed to check the transformer and lines running to our house. He got them here quickly and updated them on our situation. The transformer was replaced and the lines were fixed. He stayed with the job until we had complete power. He also pointed out some safety issues that needed attention. Like our ungrounded our gas meter. He was so helpful and an all around good guy. I highly recommend Mr. Electric of Austin.

    When Zack came out on day one, he did a site survey and we spoke about the options related to the install of a Tesla home charger. From the start, he was very professional and definitely knowledgeable about what was needed to complete the task at hand. He pointed out a few items for our home builder and electrical install team to look into, then gave me his quote for the install. He came back when he was supposed to, did the install, cleaned up after himself, and even discarded some items that we didn’t need anymore!     Max originally came out a few months ago and did some work for us. He was awesome and extremely thorough. We had an issue today and I THOUGHT something might have gone wrong with the original work done. Max came back out and it turned out it has nothing to do with the electric work. Our disposal had locked up, causing it not to turn on. Even though it wasn’t his job, Max showed me how to reset the disposal and fixed the issue, and didn’t charge me or make me feel dumb for calling. I feel bad for wasting his time, but really appreciate that they were willing to come back out and follow up on the original work done and solve my problem even though it wasn’t related to their business or under their scope. I’m not sure if he will read this, but thank you so much Max.

    Max from Mr. Electric was awesome. I wanted to add a generator outlet so I can have power in an emergency. I had a plan on how to do it which was going to be way more expensive. He figured out another way to do it that is easier and saved me a lot of money. Plus the installation was really neat and clean. They even added a whole home surge protector which I am really glad to have. Super professional service all the way through. He also took the time to make sure I understood how it all fit together and how to switch from city power to generator power.

    Just hired Mr. electric for 3 items, and 2 floodlights which did not work properly that night. Max really worked hard trying to make it work. They worked temporarily but he didnt have the detailed knowledge to understand the nuances of the flood light install to turn the knob off test and to lock it in, as well as he didnt know the light switch is fickle with floodlights and can make it turn on permanently if moved too quickly.Turns out like all things it takes a few people to diagnose the problems. I was furious at first thinking they wouldnt help. Used to poor service during Covid I was livid and assuming they did not care. They came out the 3rd day but this time the manager Zach came. He was able to diagnose the small details that made them work and completed the 1st plug issue which I had originally paid $300 to only get. diagnosis without a solve. He came back and fixed it within cost.Im thrilled with their repeat service to come out and mend the issues if even it took three times. I calmed down each time realizing they absolutely are helping and good on their word. Im now a Mr. Electric loyal customer. Thank you Max and Zack. And Mr. Handyman Ive always loved.

    Mr. Electric ended up replacing the fust box, rewiring a couple of things inside that were original wiring not replaced in our remodel 20 years ago and then completely redoing the outside wiring. All the outside was really old, and they worked with the City of Austin to install new wiring from the pole to the house. They were outstanding to work with so definitely recommend!

    Great work friendly service, but way over priced. Cost 958 dollars to install 5 new 10 year battery fire alarms in my 1200 sq foot home. I didn’t feel like shopping around, and sensed this could be the going rate at other highly rated locations. I gave 4 stars because of the cost, still in shock… but happy with the work.

    We had an unfortunate experience with our pool builders where they ripped up our entire electrical system, leaving our home without power and a severely damaged system. Mr. Electric came out on an emergency call, and within 24 hours, was able to run a temporary line and get our main panel and sub panel back up and running. Not only that, the longitudinal process with them was thoughtful and timely, with Zach leading the way by planning prospectively and being hyper-responsive through the whole process. Zach was amazing, and is one of the few people that we have met that is not an individual player, but a quarterback, thinking ahead and synthesizing what was going on with the pool, plumbing, staging the process, etc... Such a rarity these days. We will forever be in Zachs debt.

    I was really pleased with the service I received from Mr. Electric in Austin (Joe). Its the simple things you would expect out of a company...a visit to our home to evaluate what work was needed. There are companies that want you to send photos to provide a work estimate vs. sending someone out to evaluate the proposed job. I obviously recognize Covid related protocols are in place, but the reality is at some point the selected company will need to be onsite to perform the work. Anyway, for my electrical work (50A circuit in the garage - where the main electric feed was on the opposite side of the house), Joe with Mr Electric came out to our home to evaluate what was needed and being he could actually look into the specific attic space etc. was able to come up with a workable solution that the competition was not able to properly size, route and price being they performed a picture based assessment. This went a long way with me in my decision process as I wanted comfort in knowing what was being asked of the electric company could be performed vs. guessing what was possible. I liked the text messages from Mr. Electric informing me of the specific time to expect the technician for both the pre-sales and the actual day the work was performed. (they sent a picture of Joe so i knew who to expect). Joe was on time, professional and cleaned up the areas that he was working on. Mr. Electrics pricing was WAY better than the other 2 companies that i was looking at. An in person pre-sales Joe is what sold me on doing business with Mr. Electric, the other attributes (professional/courteous/on-time/accurate/cleanliness) were also key for me to leave an extremely positive review.     We needed an EV charger installed and a sub panel upgrade to handle the charger. We were able to get someone out the next day. Douglas gave us an estimate for the project as well as a home safety check. He was very polite and professional and worked all day. The job was a little more complex than anticipated (our home is 38 years old) but he came back first thing the next morning to finish up. Left everything clean and was so friendly!
