Recently we replaced our roof and had to remove and reinstall our solar panels. Daniel Mendoza was our technician and he did a great job with the project. The removal was quick and efficient. Solar Service was very flexible with the reinstallation dates as we had some travel and wanted it completed before we left. It was done efficiently and correctly. It’s working and we have not had any issues with it. We were very satisfied with the quality, efficiency, and with the cost of the project. I would recommend Daniel and Solar Service to install solar panels or for anything related to solar.

Not expecting them to call today, but couldn’t have asked for a better day to clean and wash my solar panels as per my maintenance plan with Solar Service. Angel explained what he was going to do and pointed out areas that needed attention on numerous panels. He worked all the layout with care and did not appear to rush through any part of the 48 solar panels. He finished, gathered all his equipment and tools, put everything in his truck/van. . LI had to replace my roof and prior to that solar panels had to be removed. This was a request that was given to them last minute. Austin and crew were prompt right on time and removed the panels before the roofers started. And they were back once the roofers completed laying down the singles. Cleaned the panels before setting it up. In all I have been very happy with their professionalism and quality of work done

What I Liked: Let me first say they did a really great job cleaning the panels and documenting the work. The tech was friendly and seemed knowledgeable.What I Didnt Like: Scheduling was chaotic with lots of back and forth. They ended up scheduling me then showed up a week earlier than expected (not a huge deal). I got quoted for a price around $195 but was charged just over $300 for the final service. Customer service was helpful in identifying I was overcharged and refunded around $45.Overall: I think this company is pretty good. They do a good job but leave some things to be desired on the administrative side. Will probably use them again.

Austin and the crew from Solar Service did a great job on our recent project. Having our roof replaced meant we need our solar array removed and reinstalled. The team at Solar Service we’re very professional. They were great communicators letting me know when the crew would arrive and they always showed up on time. Something I especially appreciated was the welcome messages for each visit that included the name and photo of the technician so I knew exactly what to expect. The crew went out of their way to make sure everything was fully operational including cleaning the panels and work site. Thanks Solar Service!!

My wife found Solar service which was nice to see was actually local to S. Austin not a referral service like so many are.We had a small leak from a near week long rain downpour which affected one spot we found was not really installed correctly (see Photo) so a small leak was happening. Also, our panels had never been cleaned.The office staff gave my wife two options on the repair so if the Tech thought he couldn’t do it they had a roofer they trusted so they’d just remove the panels needed for the repair, they’d come back out once the repair was fixed and then reinstall and do the cleaning.This made us feel like they had the whole process in mind not just making a quick buck.Turns out Jack was able to address the small leak with relative ease and certainty which was a blessing.He spent a good bit of time scrubbing the panels and yes, they look night and day so they now have our business for annual cleaning.From the office staff to Jack our Technician who lives just in San Marco, it was a great experience and a reasonable price.I highly recommend you folks and will be sure to tell others in our community FB groups about y’all.

The solar panels on my rental stopped working years ago. Jack came out, determined the junction box let in water and it caused a short destroying both inverters. He fixed the issue, came back and installed a new inverter and the system works perfectly. They did a great job at a resonable price. Jack was always on time, provided a lot of communication and if I need service on my house I will absolutely call them again.

Due to 5/12/24 storm our roof needed replacing. We have 72 solar panels installed by a “less than reputable” provider that had to be removed before new roof put on. Francisco Alvarez project team came in & removed within 4 hours. Stored our equipment in an orderly fashion in our backyard. After new roof installed they came around 8 am & had re-installed by 5:30 same day! They were prompt, steady hard working and did a Great job cleaning up after theirselves-better than the roofers did. Our solar back in service & we couldn’t be more pleased. We’ve signed up for their maintenance agreement which more than what original installer gave in 2 years.Thank you again Francisco team and all of Solar Service staff-they answered all my questions & respond so quickly!!

The technician didn’t show on time because the previous job ran over. This is understandable. But the technician DID come by after hours and look at my inverter. This is a plus since rescheduling would have been 6 days later.REVIEW UPDATE: New inverter was communicating with my mobile device. Matthew came out the next day and showed me what I was doing wrong and got my system communicating with my iPhone. Also, Jenna is extremely customer oriented. She worked with me via phone calls and texts to narrow down the issue.2023-11-21Had one panel damaged during the Oct hail storm. Scheduling repair was effortless. Jack was in and out and friendly as always. These are my solar people and I highly recommend them.2024-07-25Solar Service did it again. Working with them was easy. They were responsive and a worked with the equipment provider to get me a replacement inverter.

After doing some diagnostics it was determined that it needed to be replaced. ☹️ A new one was ordered and installed. My only issue was that there was no visibility regarding the shipping details or installation date without contacting the office repeatedly.

After a short introduction, he wasted no time in analyzing and resolving the issues with my solar panels. As any consumate professional would do, Dante was not satisfied until he had completely resolved ALL issues, including repair of the connectivity issues between the microinverter reporting box and the internet. The Solar Service Team, what can I truly say about them?? They were AWESOME. After a really bad storm it was determined that we needed a new roof. The only way the process could start was to remove the solar panels. After reaching out to our original installers using the workmanship warranty, which was so heavily advertised at the time, it didnt give us the peace of mind or surety that we were promised. During further research, we found...The Solar Service Team, and let me tell you they were very accommodating of our needs, from removing the panels, to cleaning prior to re-installing and offered a better workmanship warranty. The young man tells me Im getting a code that my micro converter isnt responding. Im like really, well shows right here on my app that it is. He was rather surprised. I have the app on my phone. I showed it to him, paid him and set him on his way. I called Emphase and the panels were fine. I called and told them I didnt appreciate the guy telling me there was something wrong when their wasnt. After a conversation with the owner it was sorted out. The guy was new and really needs more training. They apologized for the inconvenience. The owner was very nice and we had a good conversation. Im so glad Austin finally has solar panel cleaning and service company. Most solar panel companies only want to sell and install the panels and seem disinterested in cleaning or service.My panels were installed around 10 years ago and had never been cleaned. The Solar Service crew came out and cleaned my panels and checked the inverters for proper operation. Sadly solar panels diminish in power over the years but one of my strings of panels has degraded more quickly. Dirt buildup on the panels acts like a blanket and the additional heat degrades the panels even faster.My panels, when dirty, made 53.1 kWh on March 7, 2021 a perfect generating day. When clean, they made 54.9 kWh on March 15, 2021 which was partly cloudy in the afternoon.If youve got solar panels you need to keep them clean. Not just for the output but for the longevity of your panels. Call Solar Service and theyll improve your solar output.

He reviewed my entire system and contacted the monitoring company and resolved the issue. Solar Service responded quickly and professionally, not like the company that installed my panels. They didnt even return my calls.
