We have had flickering lights, brownouts & power surges for the past couple of years. A different electrician came out and assured me all was safe & that these occurrences are just the joys of living in an older home (1956) After continued electrical drama, I reached out to AC Electric on a recommendation. After taking the time to actually listen to my concerns, they felt the issue lay with the utility co. Sure enough, Austin Energy found an issue at the transformer. (broken neutral)AC Electric took the time & care to visit with me multiple times via phone calls & emails, always expressing genuine concern for the safety of ourselves & our home.I must say it is rare these days to experience this level of care, service & professionalism.Id give em 6 stars if I could. Outstanding service all around.

AC came to my house when we did discovered we had aluminum wiring. They did a full cop-alum upgrade and we also had them install some new fixtures in our dining room and an outdoor outlet. Great, professional and quick service! Their rates were very reasonable. The crew was very respectful of my home and made sure to clean up thoroughly afterwards. Ill definitely be contacting them again in the future.

Had a great experience with AC Electric when dealing with aluminum wiring (we went with the Copalum solution) and replacement of an old electric panel. Their quote was quite a bit lower than the competition (by a few thousand dollars) but that didnt affect the work - their professionalism and work ethic was stellar. Work was performed on-time (only delay was from the city permit for the panel, not under their control). They went above and beyond to fix minor issues not covered in the original scope of work and were a pleasure to work with. Thanks, AC!

Mike and his crew installed an RV plug in our garage to allow us to charge a Nissan Leaf using an aftermarket charger. It did take some time to get some answers to my questions and find a good time for the installation. The work is solid and I would call Mike again for future electrical work.

They do really good work and are a nice family run business. They are in Southwest Austin, but will go all over the city. I would highly recommend them if you are wanting to get your job done correctly, and just done once. They dont cut corners and they have been in business for many years. Mike and Debbie are truly experts in the field.

AC Electric did a great job on a large electrical overhaul on our house. They are professional, fun, and flexible with my many requests. They crawled around on scaffolding, through attics, and under the house to run countless feet of wiring. They found old bad wiring that had been patched together over the years and corrected it and probably saved my family from a house fire. Their prices were competitive and they are prompt. I cant say enough good things about them. I will use them again and would recommend them to anyone.

Service needed: removal and replacement of light fixtures (chandeliers) one in dining room and one in entry way. Electrician came by day before service to measure height of entry chandelier to bring the correct ladder for the service. Two electricians worked simultaneously and completed job in about an hour. They were courteous, neat and efficient. They also offered to take away the old fixtures, to which I agreed. Excellent service.

Hired them to CopAlum a whole house. They did a great job in a reasonable amount of time and for a fair price. I will definitely call Mike again if I need any more electrical work.

I was really pleased with ACs work. I feel confident about them on quality, integrity and price. Took them a little time to get to us because they had a backlog but I would rather work with a friendly and honest outfit like AC then one of the big shops that just wants to squeeze every drop of blood out of you.

After a small fire in our home, AC electric next day sent an electrician to replace a burned out heater/light fixture in our bathroom. They had been here before, the ownereven came out on a Sunday to repair something in the electric box and never charged me for it. Later I hired them to replace the electrical box in the back yard. They dideverything by the book, calling the city electric company to disconnect the main lines and then arranged for an inspection by the city. The men who worked here, were determined to finish in one day even though it was raining outside. I really appreciate their prompt and professional service. I highly recommend this company. You can trust them to do the job right!

AC Electric is the BEST electrical company around. Mike Short is a master electrican. He came out and gave us an estimate of some work to be done on our eletrical breaker box that connected to our pool equipment. He and his team worked on a Saturday in 100 degree temps in Austin to get the job done. I believe that he saved our house from catching on fire due to a faulty breaker (that had been installed in the late 1970s). Mike knew all about the breakers and understood our concerns. I will never use another electrican in Austin -- AC Electric is dependable, honest and affordable. You cant go wrong with the team at AC Electric they will do the job once -- and it will be right!

Had to give 5 stars as this company answered my call today, sent 2 electricians out to diagnose and price a repair for us after our home buyers were asking for $$$$ for an electrical repair right before our option period ended. In the end, their fast diagnosis, competitive pricing, and quick estimate generation saved us $800 in our concessions to the buyer. Thank you, AC Electric!
