Let me start off by thanking R. E. Coogan Heating Inc.! My old inefficient gas converted boiler unit stoped working on Christmas Eve. After trying to replace a couple parts to no avail, I decided to call a couple local companies and without hesitation Robert Coogan started to get the ball rolling on helping my wife and I out. Within 2 days before the cold coming in, Robert and his guys took away my old boiler and hot water tank and replaced it with this fine Navien High Efficiency system. Going from a bulky boiler and tank to a beautiful looking unit on a a wall opened up more space in the basement. I can’t thank him enough. If you’re ever in a a situation with having no heat or hot water, please Give Robert and his guys a call at R. E Coogan Heating Inc. He will have your house nice and warm as fast as he can. Constant with updates of what they are doing and how it’s going. Again can’t thank him and his company enough.

Late on Christmas Eve, when I had no heat and couldnt get help from anyone else (including a company I had a service contract with), Coogan Heating stepped in.Even though they dont typically service my area, they took the time to get on the phone with me, troubleshoot the issue, and help me solve the problem. Thanks to their expertise and willingness to go above and beyond, I had heat on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.What a gift! 8 years ago my water heater flooded my basement. RE Coogan came the same day and installed a new one which worked perfectly and never had a problem. So obviously I called him again to install a new one. Laurie in the office is soooo nice, Bob the owner is great and the guys that came to replace my tank were polite, professional, and respectful of the property. I’ve had a few people in my house to try to fix my boiler and they kept diagnosing it as something different . I called RE Coogan and they came same day , identified the problem and fixed it. I knew my boiler was old and so was my hot water heater. They talked me through rapair costs Vs a new Navien system. They walked me through applying for a 0% loan and rebates through Rise. Rob is truly a hands on owner . His team is great. His technicians came installed my new system and removed the old one in 2 days with a 20 minute switch over. They’re clean, friendly, professional and the office staff is extremely helpful and responsive . 5 stars for me I’m not calling anyone else.

My family recently moved to Warwick. We were spoiled because our previous plumber, Mike Zompa, was excellent; however, he only works in the East Bay. So, I called around a bit and thankfully found R.E. Heating. Right from the get-go,I was impressed. The customer service person who answered the phone was incredibly informative and super friendly. A technician/plumber arrived at our house in about 15 minutes! He, too, was incredibly informative and super friendly. He identified and resolved our heating issue with mind blowing efficiency. On top of that the owner, Robert Coogan, drove to our house to make sure the job was done well and get my feedback. It is a sincere pleasure writing this review as I have rarely experienced this level of excellent customer service!

There arent enough words to express my gratitude to Robert and his team. Around 8:15pm on 12/22 my carbon monoxide detector went off. Upon inspection from my local FD, it was determined that my very used furnace was pumping carbon monoxide into my house. The FD had to hit the kill switch on the furnace, which left me and my elderly mother with no heat on one of the coldest nights so far. Around 9:30pm I called R.E. Heating and went through the IVR and left a detailed message on the emergency line. The time from when I called the company to the time the owner was calling me back was 4 minutes. After speaking with Robert, and texting him photos of my furnace it was deemed I needed a new furnace. He sent me to Walmart to get some space heaters and said to call him if they were sold out and hed bring me some to borrow. Robert arrived at my house at 7:30am to take measurements and his team was here and getting to work by 8:30am. Devin and Christopher were very kind and worked diligently until I had heat again at 6pm. Robert called and texted me multiple times through the day to make sure my mom and I were doing okay and to give updates on what his team were doing. He called again a few hours after his team left to make sure everything was okay and that we were warm. When I spoke to him the first time the previous night he promised me that I would have heat again within 24 hours and he and his team came through. Im so very much appreciative of Robert and his teams hard work. Im especially appreciative of Roberts quick action in the early hours of the day, and his consistent communication and compassion. Thank you so much Robert, Devin, Christopher, and team. You made a very scary and stressful situation much easier to navigate. Mom and I are going to bed warm and safe tonight.

Phenomenal experience with Robert and team. Had them recommended to me through my realtor for boiler replacement due to my current boiler having unsafe CO levels (boiler was from 83). Robert and Lori talked me through every step of what would be installed, how to get 0% financing through RI Energy, and answered every question I had. They were able to get to my house about 1 week later, and the techs that came out got the entire install done in a day and walked us through what work they had done, basic operations of the Navien unit, and service schedule. Cant recommend enough.

After getting project estimates from a couple of HVAC companies, I called RE Coogan this past August on the recommendation of my realtor - mostly to get another take on something I had already decided to do. Bobby, the owner, picked up the phone and we soon set up a time for a visit. He came in, took inventory of the issues and challenges, and to my surprise, told me he didnt know what the solution was. This was surprising and impressive to me, as it didnt come from any lack of knowledge or experience - he simply meant that if he was going to do this right, he was going to get the LG rep involved and not just provide a solution, but the RIGHT solution. Two weeks later we had a plan, and while by no means the cheapest, it was indeed the right solution and one that would future-proof my new house for many years to come.In short order, Bobby and his ninjas - some of the most polite, courteous and detailed techs I have ever had the pleasure of working with - took over the house, and within 4 or 5 days installed high-efficiency, state-of-the-art heat pump and tankless water heater systems that have served me great through the summer, and so far this winter.I could keep going about many of the other ways RE Coogan went over and above to make me a happy client, but I am running long. Suffice it to say that I would have zero reservations returning to Bobby and the team for future work, and recommending them to friends and family. When we had another company come to service our boiler, we were told that it was leaking carbon monoxide, had to be shut off, and needed to be replaced. We were then quoted an extremely high price for a new boiler. We decided to get a second opinion but had a difficult time because it was a holiday weekend. I reached out to R E Coogan on Monday morning and spoke with Robert. He could tell how upset I was with this situation and came over that same morning. Robert inspected our boiler and tested it for carbon monoxide--it was not leaking, and the boiler did not need to be replaced. He was kind enough to leave his tester with us for peace of mind and contacted someone he knew at the gas company on our behalf. Someone from the gas company came out today and confirmed that our boiler is in good shape and not leaking. Thank you, Robert, for everything that you have done for us.

They were able to come the same day I called to remove the leaking water heater and then came first thing the following day to install the tankless system. I cant say enough good things. My favorite Aunt had been having issues with her heating system and couldnt find a Plumber to return her call, nevermind come out! I jumped in for the assist as its winter and cold, an intermittently working heating system is not acceptable. Through a friend, I was given this companys name and number! The OWNER took my call and was super helpful. I worked with his office to get my Aunt on their schedule for the same day (this isnt always possible)! Imagine my shock to learn that the OWNER actually came out with an apprentice and made sure my Aunt was up and running. He even called me back and let me know she was all set! I am beyond impressed. Had major issue with my boiler requiring immediate replacement. Called R E Coogan and spoke with Robert directly. He was very informative about the system and also recommended info on energy audit as well as no cost finance and rebates. Promised next day install. At the last minute I made a major change and called Robert and woke him up at 6 in the morning (sorry again Robert). At this point I figured I would have to wait longer but Robert took care of all my concerns and had boiler installed by end of the day. The fact he gave me his personal phone number and answered a call at 6 in the morning says a lot about the character of this man and his company. His employees were professional at all times. I would not hesitate to use his services in the future should the need arise.

We cant say enough for R.E. Coogan Heating Inc. On July 1 of this year our ceiling was leaking where the Air Handler is located. We had a mess on our hands to say the least. We called several companies and no one could come out and help us except for Coogan Heating. Devin and Keven were sent, they went into the attic and found that the tray that the air handler rested on had a hole in it. Although it could be fixed it was cost effective to replace the whole system. Within a few days the system was replaced and we were up and running. Both Devin and Kevin did an excellent job. Even before and after the system was installed, Robert the owner called to check on us. With our new system we couldnt be happier!!!

Weve used Coogan Heating & Plumbing twice now and been totally satisfied each time. The first time was an issue with our tub leaking. We had several plumbers come look at it, and two of them told us we had to get a new one but Nolan from Coogan Heating & Plumbing fixed the issue on the spot at a very reasonable rate, saving us a ton of money, time, and angst. Made the conversion from oil to gas last February, and the whole team was clean, courteous and fast. They kept us in the loop for every step. The on demand hot water was fast despite having the heat off for the whole summer, and our bills were way down. Turned the heat on this fall, no problems at all. The Navien they installed is quiet and provides plenty of hot water for multiple sources at once. Highly recommend these guys.

Robert (Bob) Coogan made an emergency call to my home after I lost heat in the house. Before he even arrived, he inquired if he could bring a few of his own heaters to not only keep me comfortable, but also to keep the pipes from freezing in the basement. He came promptly when he said he would, though it was holiday time and he was with his family. He examined the cause of the burning odor coming from the cellar, and determined it was faulty wiring in the boiler assembly that had caught fire.Although the boiler’s initial installer did not hook up the electrical components correctly, Bob ordered the proper parts and corrected the individual’s mistakes. There aren’t many people who would operate on a furnace that someone else installed improperly but Bob had the confidence and knowledge to do so. He answered all my questions and explained what he was doing to prevent an incident like this from happening again. He was considerate and courteous, as was the help he brought with him to work on the furnace. Everything was left completely clean when the job was finished. I highly recommend him for his professionalism and high standards to anyone needing a reliable plumbing and heating company!

Woke up without heat in the house. Called around to 5 other companies none of which had time to come out and look at my issue. I called R.E. Coogan and within an hour they were knocking on my door. Bob is a respectable guy that was able to fix my issue in minutes while teaching me a little something along the way. He also pointed out some things that I should keep an eye on going forward as he feels they are potential problems. Going forward Bob will be my first and only call when it comes to any heat related issues.

Apparently I didnt write a review of my heating system install from Coogan. It was outstanding. The crew was incredibly clean, professional, and helpful. They had the most organized worksite I have ever seen in my life. A few months later, I had to install a stove - I called RE Coogan and Robert himself swung by on his truck and helped me install the gas line and then helped me install the stove into the kitchen. Honestly, these folks deserve six stars.

I highly recommend R.E. Coogan Heating Inc. - being a big customer service person - he will actually return calls immediately, get estimates w/options right away as well as discuss and listen to your needs. Robert and his crew were able to get the job done within a week of agreeing on the contract for a new oil burner and hot water heater. During that time I had a power outage and they stayed late on a Friday night - YES, a Friday night !!! to get the job done. It has been almost a year and when I had a loose wire, he responded right away and came the next day and made good on his warranty. You cant ask for anything more !!!

This Review is Long Overdue. I had a major problem with my heating system a little over a year ago. The very first, very cold night of winter, my heat didn’t work. I called them late at night and They came out first thing in the morning. It was by no means an easy job for them, but they stayed until the job was complete and took a Huge Worry off of my shoulders. My heating unit has worked EXCELLENT ever Since. Bob Coogan is an awesome guy and really cares about his clients. I hired him to add to an existing air conditioning system. There was a snag during the job but Bob didnt wait one second, he jumped on the problem and before I knew it the job was done perfectly.
