In the middle of November, my gas furnace wanted to suddenly stop working. A family member had used National Refrigeration before and had nothing but praise for the company. I outreached and they were able to have a technician out the following the day.Technician Wyatt diagnosed the issue within an hour, and also offered some insights on the furnace I was unaware of. He was pleasant to talk to and answered all of my questions without hesitation.I ended up needing a part ordered, which took some time, understandably. But once it was received, National Refrigeration outreached and sent Wyatt the following day. The install was smooth and the furnace was running within an hour. It’s been a month and I’ve had no issues since. My experience was great overall and I highly recommend them!

Every National Refrigeration employee I have worked with has been polite and respectful especially those working in my home. They never have a problem with wearing clean protective boot covers and are conscientious of taking them on and off. Never a mess to clean up when they leave. Also very knowledgeable when it comes to more complex systems. Office also helped with warrantee work and submitting the claim. Great service.

Jarrod Pachero came to our house for annual winter service of our carrier HVAC system installled by National 3 years ago. He was polite, efficient, and gave clear feedback on the health of our system. He also spent extra time trying to troubleshoot the attached humidifier which was not working as it was part of the original HVAC system. He then talked me through the product line of humidifiers, benefits, and next steps showing good knowledge. He came back the next week to install a new humidifier. I would highly recommend National

This is the 5th time I have used National Refrigeration.Twice to recharge my A/C once to replace said unit, once to replace a broken spring on my garage and most recently installing a Mitsubishi mini split in another home.Work was done in a timely manner and at a reasonable price.Everyone who worked on the project moved throughout the house and I rarely heard them.Highly recommend this team for all your mechanical needs.

Hello - National Refrigeration representatives installed my heating and cooling system when my house was brand new. Since then, theyve continue to maintain the system via membership in there Comfortable Club. This years winter prep service occurred at a good time (before their calendar was booked up), and the technician was polite and thorough. The temperature readings for each main vent that needed checking were verified and I got some tips on how to clear the setting on my thermostats to better maintain a consistent temperature across the two levels of the house with multiple zones. Wyatt Kelly came to work on our neighbors A/C unit. He was knowledgeable, and quickly checked the unit and determined there was a faulty part (contactor). He had replacement part on his truck and swapped out the part., putting the unit back in service.I have helped our neighbor with some technical issues (PE 35 years). Our neighbor is elderly and battling serious illness. Having the A/C working gives her peace and comfort. Mr. Kellys quick response and repair helped greatly increase her comfort..

Jonathan arrived to do the annual inspection and preventive maintenance for my a/c unit on the hottest day of a heat wave, but the heat and humidity did not keep him from doing an excellent job. I was concerned because my condenser was in direct sunlight and he had to climb through my closet into the hot attic to access the rest of the unit. He assured me it was not a problem and continued his work with a smile. He replaced the filter and the batteries in my thermostat, which was not working when he arrived. He explained what he was doing and answered my questions. When he discovered a mouse nest in the outside condenser, he removed it and repaired some damaged wires, all in a pleasant and professional manner. He is truly an asset to your company! I would give him more than five stars if that was an option!!

I received a fast appointment, and David P., who serviced our furnace, was excellent. He gave it a thorough cleaning and answered our first-time homeowner questions, which we really appreciated. David got our heat working again without any extra fees, which we were grateful for. Thank you!

My Carrier split system was not cooling properly. After calling my installer (not National) he tried to fix but still wasnt working properly so I called National. Dave came out and quickly diagnosed the problem. They did a pressure check and determined that I had a leak in the new line I had the previous company installed last fall. They showed me where they reused some of the initial line and why it failed. Dave installed all new lines and added refrigerant to the system. The end result is my system is working like new cooling each zone like never before. I cant say enough about what a fantastic job National did! I would definitely recommend them and will be using them for maintenance going forward.

He did not show up until 9:20 which I understand was within 8-10. But why even bother telling me “between 8…” when there is no chance he would get there until 9:20 for his first stop? At the end, I asked him if he would have been there by 8:30 if I had told the scheduler that he would get an extra $50 tip if he made it by 8:30. He said YES. Sounds like employees take their time and get their coffee instead of trying to exceed expectations. As a retired business owner, it’s not the way I would want my employees to represent me.

They were able to work with the town inspectors to resolve issues that caused other contractors to refuse to even bid on the job. Full installation completed in less than 2 days and the office staff registered the equipment for me and sent me the links for rebates.

Charles came to my condo for a consultation on installing a mini split heating/cooling system in my bedroom on the second floor. After reviewing the room, where the system needed to be placed, the cost and the disruption to my condo building was prohibitive.He then asked if he could look at my furnace to see if it could be zoned. After reviewing the furnace, he sent me a quote the following day.The cost was reasonable and the process sounded like it would work well for me. I really liked the idea of using the current system I already have in place but making it more efficient. Thank you so much Charles Fitzgerald for the recommendation !Charles came yesterday with two other outstanding techs, Jeremy Newton & Jon Comancho. They spent approximately 7 hours installing and testing the new set-up. It went amazingly well. The woman who answered the phone was amazing; she asked my concerns and listened to what I had going on. She was so kind, and had excellent communication. She let me know someone could come out the same day(!!!) and kept me updated with the ETA of the technician (without asking!) I can not emphasize enough how much love, appreciate, and value good communication. Dave came to the rescue (right on time!) He was clearly very knowledgable and was able to swiftly diagnose the issue and replace the flux capacitor (just kidding - it was the run capacitor). He answered all of my million questions, and was so patient and friendly, despite the extreme heat he was having to deal with for the repair. He was also very kind to my overly friendly cat (if you have social pets, fear not!) I had just installed a nest thermostat myself and he optimized some of the settings to help with my lack of power and explained the prior thermostat was battery operated and took the time to show and explain some settings to make the nest system work better. I also decided to join the comfort club so he also did a nice cleanup of my system. By later that night my AC was completely back to working order and I feel good knowing the whole system just had a tune up since this is a newly purchased home and who knows when that was last done. I worked with Brian to get a quote for a mini-split a/c to cool the downstairs of my house. He came and did the quote and National Refrigeration was the most reasonable price I receive, especially since the electrician cost was included in the quote. They were able to get the mini-split ordered as soon as I was ready and I decided to add the heat pump option for $500 more. Once the unit came in, they came and installed as soon as I was able - the team that installed was courteous, professional and worked diligently throughout the day to get everything done. I have told some of my friends and neighbors about your company and they are interested in possibly contacting you about servicing them too.I have a service contract with National and have been having my heating and air conditioner serviced bi-annually. You guys do a great job. Last week, Jarrod serviced my heating system. He was very thorough and did a great job. I had a few questions for him and he did an excellent job answering them. Im very satisfied. Also, this survey is a great example of why you have a great company.Review of service on 12/2022I called National Refrigeration to report that water was dripping from a gray plastic pipe running from the front of the furnace and eventually emptying into a drain in the cement floor. I told them that, if there was a tech in the area, Id like him to stop by and check out this annoying sounding drip. The HVAC system is only about three years old. A couple of weeks passed and I called again and scheduled to have a serviceman come by and see if there was a problem with the system. The gentleman was very polite and did a good job identifying the problem. The drip sound was from the upstairs units furnace dripping water into a pipe that connects with the aforementioned plastic drain pipe, I thanked the tech and was stunned when he told me that the bill would be $149.00. I told him that I had a $200.00 yearly contract, but he said this was a diagnostic evaluation. He was in my condo unit for about 30-35 minutes. I feel that I should have been made aware that there would be a charge for this visit.Up to this point, I have been very happy with this company and have recommended them to 4 or 5 of my friends and neighbors.This was a most unpleasant experience to say the least.

I normally do not post. I dont have much confidence in social media, however for National Refrigeration I will make an exception.Summary: I will be a customer for life at National Refrigeration. They did an outstanding job replacing my HVAC. Furnace, Evaporator and AC Condenser unit.My HVAC was original equipment from when the home was constructed, 1998. I requested three quotes, two from very large firms in the State of RI. National I had to find on my own through the Carrier website which listed them as a certified installer.I was floored to see the price difference between the two very large first (who advertise locally on TV) and National. Nation was 2/3 the cost of the other two and proposed to complete the job in 1 day versus two for the other two firms.I did further research into Nation and found they had outstanding credentials including a 4.78/5.00 stars on BBB. Their Google reviews are 4.9 (again as of writing this feedback).I agreed to give them the work.The day of installation, the team Jeremy/Manny/Jon/Zack showed up to perform the work. They were ON TIME. They were considerate of our home, wore shoe coverings and used drop cloths. And most importantly, they were professional.They did an excellent job and completed it in one day as proposed. No surprises because they had told me during the estimate of what could possibly be challenging and why and what they did to mitigate the risk. The key for me was R22 versus R410A. They checked the diameter of the existing pipe and stated there should not be an issue with the change in PSI from one refrigerant to the other. The day of installation they validated that as well.They tested heating and air conditioning and explained all the work that had been performed plus a minor electrical change (at no additional cost).The team worked hard and most importantly looked like they had fun, which was a pleasant thing to see, cheers to Jeremy on his leadership.Thank you National! I do not write review often. But This organization is top notch! I needed a gas furnace and AC replacement and did a fair amount of research on different systems and cost. I went to two other companies to get estimates before going to National. I prefer talking to people face to face and went to their location in Warwick, RI. My initial meeting was with a service supervisor, Brian K. Great first impression, Brian was courteous, professional and informative. He encouraged me to describe what my desires were in a new system and walked me through several pros and cons of the options available. He was definitely not trying to sell me on the highest end models and was more concerned about me being informed on potential decisions. Several days later Brian came out to the house to perform the estimate. Again, he was very informative as we discussed different options and expectations and got me a proposal within a day. National’s quote came in lower than the others and when dealing with their support department Doreen was professional, a pleasure to deal with. Solid customer service you wish you got from every company. On the day of installation Brian, Sean D. and Rito S. performed the work. I mean they worked… I am a details person and these guys paid attention to the details. The epitome of professional and quality. Hey National Refrigeration, give these guys a raise. Semper Fi, Joe

We have 3 Central AC units, one installed by them and Sean has been our service tech for years. We couldnt be happier with the service we receive. As a Comfort Clubmember Sean keeps our systems running as efficient as possible and notices small repairs before they become an expensive repair or cause a breakdown. We have never been happier with any other service company, from the office to their techs they are the best !!!

As a Property Manager of 6 commercial buildings, it is VERY important to have a professional hard working company readily available at any time. National Refrigeration is our vendor, for 23 years now. They are very fair with pricing and will communicate the pros and cons in a very understanding manner. Brian Kelly is our service tech, he will sit an explain what is going on, and I never feel rushed to make a decision. I highly recommend National Refrigeration. Even Doreen when taking my service calls is very much so professional and gets a tech right out!
