I cant imagine anybody thats recently purchased a home that hasnt heard from a solar salesman. Im going to do my best to explain why I went with Lunex and the installation. I cant thank my salesman, Daniel Castel enough. He really went above and before for me. I started off the process around the 25th of October in 2023.This starts mostly a permitting process. Hillsborough County and TECO have to approve things or do things along the way. This is actually the longest part of the installation.About halfway through December everything was approved and 27 panels were installed as well as the transfer switch to provide power to TECO. The crew that installed the panels and electrician was awesome. They were done in a few hours. Since Ive waited months to write this review I feel safe in saying that I have no leaks in my roof and that the installation was perfect.Then we had to wait on TECO to install the proper meter to show the energy being sold back. I could use an app on my phone to see that my panels were already producing power. Lunex uses quality panels and it shows.The last two months, my electric bill has been less than $22. The future buyer of this house gets to take advantage of this without the cost of the system. Everything went exactly as promised and this was truly painless.Recently had a post storm check up by will from lunex to see how everything was. Very pleased with the service provided.

Over all satisfied with the service provided from Lunex power, including the installation process the communication and the follow up service post install has been great. I have had my system installed now since January and I received the permission to operate February 8 and I have yet to receive a bill more than the customer charge so everything is working great.

I’m very pleased to have real friends in the solar power business! Since Ramsey Murr and Colby McMahon first came to my house, I was impressed with their expertise. But one of the really important things to me was their integrity. They didn’t try to sell me more panels than I needed. Being in a new neighborhood, the other solar panel people also came to me and I talked with them. When I said I had already made a deal with Ramsey and Colby, I was told that they, Ramsey and Colby, were very good and that they had a good, respected, reputation. That was from their competitors. When the permits were approved, the installation crew came and with expertise and great care for my new house, it was like poetry in motion. These guys knew their stuff! I was so impressed with their organization and professionalism , and, after they cleaned up, they explained the safety procedures in case of emergency. Once the installation was completed, I was handed over to Andrew, he became my go-to guy at Lunex for the final stage of connecting and making sure electric bills and capacity were in good shape and any other issues or questions that might come up. He has been very accessible. By the way, when that big hurricane blew thru Florida, my roof and solar panels sustained no damage. Sure did impress me.

You never know when we lose power because the Tesla batteries are that quick to take over. Definitely happy especially after our last hurricane. The original company that I went solar with unfortunately went out of business. Then I needed a new roof and needed to find a local company who would be able to help me. I reached out to a few different companies and I met Ethan from Lunex . He was very nice and professional. He did such a great job at communication And just being an overall nice kind person. Sasha and the office was also very helpful with the entire process and coordinating scheduling. I also met with a gentleman name Shawn, who came out to double check everything before we took the panels off and put them back on everyone, all the way from installation crew brad and his guys to office support has been very pleasant to deal with through this entire process. The installation of the project was a very slow start but the end result is fantastic. The system is performing right up to par just like we purchased. Customer service was great at communicating and helping us get the ball rolling. They took care everything from permmiting to inspection. Today we received our final walk through with will who just showed up due to us not getting back to him. He showed us how to monitor the systemand understand how everything works as what to expect. Will went above and beyond to check a possible leak we thought was due to the solar which he noticed it was not and it was our ac drain pan. We are all very pleased that we had no damage from either hurricane. We would highly recommend lunex power

We are so glad we trusted Lunex Power, and specifically Zack Farr, to partner with in our decision to go solar. From the beginning, we found them to be transparent, reliable, and passionate about their work- more so than any other professional we evaluated. Lunex is a small company, with truly good, caring people working together through all aspects of the business- from sales, to administration, to install, and in following-up after the install they were willing and able to give us personal attention and care that I doubt any of the large conglomerate companies are able to replicate. Zack was amazing to work with. The process was very simple- they had our panels installed within a month of signing, and they had our panels approved by the city and powering our home within three months of signing. We realized the cost savings on our power bill before paying anything, which was by design as they ensured we paid nothing until the city had our panels approved and turned on. We did not lift a finger in getting city approval. So far, our panels are producing even more power than we expected. We have a “zero” bill, which means we pay only the required hook up fees and taxes, and we are storing power which will ensure we have a zero bill throughout even the summer, which used to cost us over $400 a month. We are so glad we made the decision to go solar, as the 26% tax rebate is expected to be decreased to 22% in 2023, and TECO just had a 12% rate increase due to increased fuel costs (another increase possible next year). We feel comfortable knowing we now are owners of our power source. So in addition to our overall monthly cost being cut in one-third to one-half, our cost is also fixed at least for the life of the panels (which are warrantied for 25 years). If you are thinking of going solar, now is a great time to do so, and Lunex Power truly is a great company to work with.Update re: the cost/benefitThe solar tax credit was increased to 30% (which we got in 2022). We also benefited from additional tax incentives (see our review of Solar Tax Pros) and ended up getting over 50% of the cost of the system back in rebates/tax incentives. Our solar loan was $109 for the first 2 years then increased to $225. We used to pay $400 average per month on electric (and that was before the TECO cost increase in 2022 and before we installed a pool), so it worked out to be a good deal for us. But we had one friend get a quote and the math didn’t work well for them- just depends on your energy costs, space on roof for panels, cost of system/financing costs, etc. But it may be worth getting a quote.Update re: the serviceWe have had to call Lunex three times since we had the system installed- twice we thought the app wasn’t working (once there was an issue with connectivity and the other time I was just confused). They sent out a technician to look at system and app within two days each time. Then a couple of weeks ago we had a small roof leak near where some panels were installed. They were out next day patching it up temporarily and have a roofer coming this week to fix it. Even though panels were installed two years ago they assumed it was the cause and were prompt in helping us. We just really feel like this is an honest company and have been very happy.

My gatewsy broke just over a year after install and Andrew came out the next day to follow thru and just after two weeks later he will install a brand new gatewa. I explained the situation to Dan and right away he had some ideas as to what was happening with my system and agreed to send one of his technicians to resolve the issue ASAP. Within 24 hours, Lunex responded, diagnosed the system and brought the system online. I highly recommend Lunex and they will be servicing my system from this point forward.

Ive had a very positive experience overall with Lunex Power. We entered our contract in late August 2022. Permitting was finished in late September, it was installed on October 21st, and received PTO from Teco on 11/16/2022. Though its only been a few days the system is already overperforming my expectations given the time of year.Their no pressure sales approach was a pleasure and they worked with me to design a system that met my specific requests (REC panels, Enphase IQ8M inverters, a 200 amp panel upgrade, and a removal/reinstall for when our roof is done in a few years) and needs. They were the first company of several I contacted who offered to deliver exactly what I requested. In addition the price they offered was extremely competitive.Lunex moved quickly to complete our design and obtain permits so that our system would be operational by the end of the year. During this phase we ran into a couple minor issues which may have been related to the customized design. Our initial plans did not include the inverter or main panel upgrade, which appears to have been a database error. I contacted the design team and this was corrected immediately. I do not believe this caused any notable delays during the permitting phase.I requested a small design modification due to my HOA requirements (we were first home in our neighborhood to install solar) and Lunex was prompt in making those additions. My board had a lot of concerns due to construction of our homes and Lunex was fantastic in getting me all the information I neeeded to receive my HOA approval.We experienced a hiccup the day before installation and Lunex again went above and beyond to provide high quality customer service. The panels were delivered early, however it was a different panel then what was in our design (same wattage, different manufacturer). There are substantial shortages of REC panels and I believe it was more related to the supplier. I contacted Lunex and we discussed a few options. I anticipated weeks or months long delay (these panels are very hard to get right now), instead they provided a small upgrade of the same REC panels at no extra cost. They took care of making sure we remained in compliance with our permit and we had the REC panels delivered within two hours of me contacting them with my concern.The installation crew (Danny, John, Andrew) were outstanding. The entire system was installed within six hours and looks great. The conduit was run well in the attic and it has minimal exterior conduit. A week later the electrical team completed our main panel install, they were also fantastic. They were very transparent and noted that based on our existing panel it was not really necessary. They offered to have me issued a credit, or perform a cheaper upgrade, however I decided to proceed with it.I was impressed with how quickly we achieved permission to operate. We completed our inspection 11/9/2022 and had PTO within a week! In fact the electric company was at our home within 48 hours of us submitting the application. While I know that phase can take longer, Lunex did everything they could to make sure they didnt cause a delay.My main constructive feedback is that periodiocally the response times can be a little inconsistent, however when it is important they are always prompt in replying. Im confident a large part of that is because I asked a ton of questions along the way (and I am sure I drove them a little crazy). They were always very polite and clearly place a high value on customer service. This was our first major home improvement project and while there were a few challenges along the way I am very satisfied with the result. I highly recommend giving the Lunex team a chance.A special thanks to James C, Sasha, Nolan, and Jaimie who helped us achieve a long term goal of going solar.
