I looked long and hard and diligently for the right company or disappointed for about 2 months. Finally, we found Hoffman. They exceeded our expectations. Not only was Nelson first class, his young helper Diego was equally competent and moreover polite and respectful. You dont see that very often. As far as technical skills, they cant be beat. Were not going to look anymore for anybody else but often good pricing. Superior technicians.

Hoffman was able to squeeze my appointment in as we were way overdue to replace the smoke detectors and they were beginning to go off in the middle of the night for no reason. Mike showed me the date on them and they were the originals when the home was built in 2003. yikes! He was able to provide a fair price to replace all of our smoke detectors, the work moved along swiftly and he was very professional and personable. After the install he synced them all to ensure they were connected properly, something I wouldnt have known to do had I tried to replace the detectors by myself, but its an important step. While Mike was here I asked his advice for the outlet requirements for my pottery kiln. He confirmed that itd need to be on its own line and was able to create a new outlet straight from the box for my kiln. Well be calling Mike Thorpe back when we take down our back porch so that we can have the electrical fixed there as well. And once I open my business, I know now who I can rely on! Thanks so much for everything!!

Very pleased with Hoffman Electrical for electrician services. We were serviced by both Rolando and Hector on different occasions and both did a wonderful job. Rolando helped with installing outdoor outlets for landscape lighting and Hector most recently did a full electrical inspection of our back step down bedroom that flooded after Hurricane Helene. Both also educated my husband and me on what services they performed and informed us in an easy to understand manner. I will come back to Hoffman because they are fair on pricing and do not try to up sell you. I also appreciated both technicians giving ball park estimates before they began working. Fantastic customer service and will use again!

I was actually thinking I needed to have patch work done on my drywall when he was finished but he was so good I can’t even tell there was work done. 👍👌I am super pleased. I love that this company gives back to our community by offering apprenticeship in this field! Mike T and Diego were professional, knowledgeable and friendly electricians who on the same day they came to give us an estimate were able to fix our problem on the spot! With many of us having had recent hurricane damages, other electricians refused to even set up estimate appointments because our job was too small for them to bother with. Hoffman, you now have a customer for life!

I had had 2 other companies refuse the job unless I upgraded and would be on a wait list into December. James was early. I showed him the issue and he understood it exactly. The main problem was the electric to my lift which he solved immediately. however, they were other issues so he had to go get some parts and came back. He got about 3/4 of the job done, but there was a park that had to be ordered. I paid 1/2. When the park comes in, we will reschedule. I would recommend them highly. He came back two days later and completed the project successfully.

I contacted Hoffman Electrical and A/C company on Sunday October 27, 2024 and left a message for someone to return my call, as we are in need of getting an estimate for a new Air Conditioner, due to Helene flooding our home. I received a call back early Monday morning from Samantha to schedule a technician to come out and they were able to schedule it for the SAME day, which is usually unheard of, but she did. Ray Balado was the technician that came out and he was very kind, through and explained everything to us, he sent the quote right away so we can submit it to our flood insurance along with the other paperwork we have, he was very efficient, kind and very knowledgeable. Their estimate is free of charge and they are very reasonable on the cost to replace the air conditioner, air handler, raising the unit above the flood level and also some wiring that will need replacing from corrosion from the flood waters. I would recommend Hoffman Electrical and A/C to anyone who is wanting or in need of a new air conditioner or electrical work on their home. Hopefully you will have Ray as your technician as I would give him 10 stars if it were possible.

Collin came out to service a light that would not come on immediately and/or stay on. He was thorough working through the process. Checked the voltage at the switch and at the light fixture. Turned out it was a bad light fixture. Collin waited for me to run out and buy a new light My Wife would like. Collin took all the plastic off the new light, wiped off any finger prints and used a vacuum to clean up any debris that was left. Excellent job. Reasonable price. Im very happy with the work that was done.

We enjoyed a wonderful experience with Mike Rhodes. The man is a workhouse who knows what hes doing. He was great from the day he first came out and evaluated our needs to the day of our Generac Generator installation. We live in attached townhouses, and there was no place to install the self-sufficient mode to give us electricity for the whole house. He guided us to a manually operated gas unit that would do the job, then expertly installed it, tested it, and guided us through the procedures to run it in case of an outage. Hired Hoffman to install a Level 2 charger for my EV in my garage. Call, estimate, and work completed in a single day! Jason laid out all my options and didn’t try and push unnecessary expense items. The work was phenomenal and the technician more so. I will never hire anyone other than Hoffman going forward and won’t let anyone work on my house’s electrical system other than Jason. Thanks for the work, we look forward to more projects to come.Update: We just hired Hoffman again to install a generator plug and interlock so we can run our house off our generator. After the original Electrical Panel upgrade, I was not well pleaded with the outside wiring. The old wiring that was disconnect, was left open and hanging. So Tech Osmel returned and removed the old wiring and old box, and patched a big hole made in the drywall ceiling while installing the wiring for the range. And that made me well-pleased. Now, Im ready for my final building inspection by the City of Tampa. 04/28/2024 🤗*********************************************Electrical Tech Osmel R. Perez arrived on time and was ready to start the job that took longer than anticipated. But he was willing to forego his lunch break until the job was completed and done correctly. The job was reasonably priced and he made sure I received all of my discounts allowed by the company for a new customer. So, I would definitely request him for my next Electrical project. 04/19/2024.

Hoffman must really practice team work because an additional technician came and brought him the supplies from Tampa on I-4 , on a Friday. Anyone who lives in this area knows just how special that is.I had to close my office location so I really needed the job done from start to finish and they were able to do that to the highest level. We had never used them personally before but had referred them to one of our clients who had great feedback on their experience as well. James gave me an estimate on replacing four bathroom exhaust fans two weeks ago and helped me pick out the fan features that would produce the results I wanted. He saved me time and hassle trying to figure it out for myself. Install day came and he and helper Cody installed all four exhaust fans seamlessly. James already planned to need attic access for potential problems. He did not complain that he had to get up there or make just to fit larger fans in each bathroom. Great job as always from Hoffman. Every technician that has came to the house has been outstanding.

I wanted to get an exterior line to the side of my backyard for my new above ground pool filter. Hoffman called me to schedule on the same day I completed a request for service online. The service technician came when scheduled and gave me the bad news, we have to change the panel to bring it up to code. Yikes, it was much more $ than expected, but it was completed a few days later with Hoffman taking care of everything. The two Hoffman electricians were very careful with my freshly completed landscaping, they were thorough (had to dig clear across the yard, removing path stones and rock etc.) and completed the whole thing in a day in our 90 degree heat.Thanks Hoffman!

After checking, and double checking, he discovered a cobble job between two outlets done with lamp cord. I truly believe Osmel prevented a potential fire hazard in my residence. He then gave me a reasonable estimate for the repair of the problem, and promptly scheduled it. I’m very happy with the job so far.Osmel returned today with Sam. Im happy to report, the service received from Hoffman and specifically, their technician, Jason Williams, was phenomenal. I had an EV charger installed and also had some extensive troubleshooting done on some smart switches.Ill step through the various things that prompted me to write this review:Price: I had a competitive bid done and Hoffman was considerably less expensive than their competition. I wont mention the other company, but their quote was insultingly high. Hoffman provided a reasonable and fair quote.Quality of Service: The job was completed successfully, the installs look great and the area was cleaned better than it was when they started.Professionalism: The troubleshooting ended up taking way longer than anticipated. I wont say exactly how long, but Jason and his apprentice, Diego, were at my house for an entire day and then some. Despite the frustrating troubleshooting, Jason remained positive, friendly and professional. He insisted that they would finish the job successfully, and they did.I will definitely go back to Hoffman if I have any electrical needs in the future and would encourage others to give them a shot as well.

I just found Hoffman electric from Google. They had good reviews and when I called very good rates... I had a problem with a burnt wire smell around the electric box. It only happened when I turned on the heat but not always . I had another electrician out I could not mimic the smell he changed a breaker said everything looked fine. But then I smelled it again called Hoffman they sent out Rolando Garaza again I could not mimic what I smelled but he didnt just open the panel in the garage he opened the one outside and there was the smell. The wires from our house connecting to the meter were over heating and melting the insulation on them . Im very greatful he could have just opened the main panel said everything looks fine and called it a day . So it was a serious issue he called it in to Hoffman they rearranged things so he could do an emergency repair (if not we would have been displaced). The work was done quickly. I thought it was going to be an all day project but it was not. They were up front about the price which was much less than we expected. Mr.Garza explained everything very clearly showed us the parts the problem. VERY HONEST, PROFESSIONAL, NEAT, EFFICIENT.... could go on and on. Will refer to everyone I know.

After a new exterior siding installation presented issues with our breaker and heat pump, our technician (Osmel) was able to troubleshoot the problem and provide detailed explanations of the repairs needed. Prior to Hoffman Electrical, I had two other electricians visit my home to assist me with some lights that were not working. Neither were able to properly diagnose or repair the problem. Collin was my technician and he was beyond wonderful. It turns out that I needed a new electrical panel – not only was it installed incorrectly prior to my home purchase, but it was extremely unsafe and an existing fire hazard (thanks home inspector!!!). Collin was able to make the repair same day. He was thorough, informative, and helpful in just about every way. As a company, they were able to move things around so I could get same day service and even had someone else deliver the necessary parts to my home within the hour. This was an incredibly stressful situation, and I am thankful and relieved knowing my home is safe – having everything work properly is pretty nice too. I cant imagine using another electrical company in Tampa ever again.EDIT: I got an entirely new HVAC system in 2024. They were more affordable than others with this quote, still provided several complimentary items as a kind gesture (thermostat, UV light, etc.), and their team is always kind, professional, and easy to have in my home. Forever a customer.

Surprisingly not all electrician companies change smoke detectors. Hoffman was one of few with great reviews, and they were able to get us on the books. Mike Thorpe came out, gave us a fair deal to change all of our smoke detectors and provided a couple of other quotes on things that we needed to get done. While he was here we also had him install another outlet in the garage. I want to call something out that Im not sure people would notice- Between the work getting done, the various estimates that we needed and Mikes demeanor, he was wicked confident. Not just in his work, but his responses, and the cost which tells me that hes not only very knowledgeable and experienced, but also, the company or boss he works for empowers him to work independently, they trust the quality of his work and he has autonomy to make the right decisions for customers. Ya know how sometime a repair guy will come to your home and they have this aura that theyre not confident in the costs like they know its too high, or you can tell theyre not really relaxed. Often that comes from the company environment they work for. If you dont allow your people autonomy to do their job, if you dont trust your workers, it rubs off on them. Youll lose sales and have average to below average reviews. So seeing that Mike was completely comfortable, he didnt BS me, he didnt do this back and forth dance on costs...etc, that tells me that Mike is not only very knowledgeable in his work but also, Hoffman allows him to do his best work. They trust him. How a company treats their employees means a lot to me. I dont want to hire crappy companies that think of their employees as mules to rake in cash. I want to support companies that hire the best people to do their best work and thats what I saw in the quality of Mikes work. 10 star rating. Everything was completed perfectly and I can sleep better knowing we wont have any issues. Will call back when we need more work done and well request Mike!

Nick was our technician and he was such a joy to work with. He explained everything that needed to be done. He did the complete service within an hour and a half. Nick is very personable and easy to talk to. His work ethic is awesome! He only had to make 3 holes in our wall to make the wire installation. He is very knowledgeable in electricity. We are in need of some more electrical wiring to be done and we will definitely request Nick to be the service technician for our next job in the very near future. Jason Williams, a outstanding Electrician for Hoffman Electrical & Air Conditioning, was extremely professional and thorough in explaining our electrical issue caused by the January 9th, 2024 storm that moved thru our area (Tampa). Hoffman Electrical & Air Condition is lucky to have such a talented professional to service their Clients! Ive used Hoffman Electrical & Air Conditioning in the past and they are perhaps not the very cheapest in the area, but worth the peace of mind that your service issue will be handled professionally, on time and correctly! I highly recommend this company!

Osmany came out to do an estimate for four different small electrical jobs in my home. He sent me an estimate in a timely manner. Scheduling was a breeze. I received a reminder text and email regarding our appointment time and then an alert when Osmany was on his way to my house. He showed up a few minutes early, we went over all the details of each job again, and he and his assistant Cody got right to work. They had to troubleshoot a couple of small things, but they always had a good solution and communicated clearly with me. The quality of their work was very good. I appreciate the timeliness, clear communication, and that they cleaned up after themselves. I would highly recommend!!

Jason was technician that came to our home to complete service upgrade/install lockout for our generator. He and his helper were very professional did very good work installing our new electric panel. Afterwards he explained how the new lockout switch works and what I have to do in case we are without power and have to refer to generator to power up our house. They both very clean and did great job cleaning up after job was completed. I will use Hoffman electric in future if needed. I would consider Jason and his helper an asset to any company.
