I had a leak in a pipe that was between the meter and my condo unit. This was an unexpected event so I contacted Simply Leak.Michael came out (even when it was raining), did what he needed to do and marked where the leak was. The plumber Travis from Danicka Plumbing remarked in all the time hes been doing this kind of work; he was amazed that the leak was exactly where Michael had indicated. Hello Michael:For all the reasons we talked about during your visit to locate the leak in my main water service line--i.e. arriving on time, explaining the process of locating a leak, having all the equipment available and ready to go, providing pre-arrival information and great follow up—I have no problem assigning a 5 star review to Simply Leak Detection. In fact, I have already done just that in an email I sent to my Homeowner’s Association.The best part of this whole thing is that you found the leak quickly and had no problem letting me ‘participate’ in your search for the leak, even encouraging me to watch and learn so that I would be more educated about the process.So, how accurate was the indicated location of the leak in my water service line? When all the digging was done, I would say that the marker you placed was within 2 inches of the actual break in my water line. Unfortunately, the location was beside of a stand of cedar trees and it took around 10 hours of digging by hand and cutting roots just to access the pipe to make the necessary repairs! The actual repair took me under an hour and that included shutting the water off and recharging the system afterwards. However, like you said, it sure beats finding the leak under the large concrete slab at the front entrance to my house.After two days, there is no visible leak where I made the repairs. I will contact the water district today to come check my meter to see if they are satisfied that my line is no longer leaking and hopefully get some credit on my previous billings.Thanks again for the great service. I’ve attached some photos of the project for your entertainment. BTW: My service line is 1” black PE, at 200 psi. I used brass barb and barb unions/mender/splice repair with SS hose clamps. Using a little bit of heat and a touch of WD 40 on the fittings, I was able to slip the barb ends inside the PE pipe.

Michael showed up quickly with appropriate equipment and went right to work. He identified the source of the leak as a pressurized cold water line and when the wall was opened up that was exactly what it was and where he identified. Not inexpensive but worth the money given the amount of damage water can cause very quickly. Michael talked us through the process so we knew what he was doing and how he arrived at his conclusions. 10/10 would hire again.

I am currently living out of state for work but came back to my house in Federal Way after a couple of months to find the water company had left me a letter stating I had used over 5,000 gallons of water in a month! I called a couple of plumbers who came out and diagnosed my issue as being my main water line leaking due to the fact I had the water inside my house shut off for the winter. They then quoted me $24,000 to replace it!After some debating, I decided to try and do a spot repair myself with some friends, just needed to figure out where it was leaking. I was recommended this company and they were able to come out within the week. After just a few minutes, Kane was able to tell me my main line was fine. Within maybe twenty minutes he was able to pinpoint the exact location of the leak, a combination of my inside water shutoff valve being leaky, and my first floor toilets flapper valve.Kane was able to save me from digging up my front yard (which my HOA was going to fight me on and make me pay for landscaping service after the fact). Also, he turned a $1,000 repair in parts and labor to a $20 toilet flapper valve replacement. I couldnt recommend Simply Leak Detect more, courteous, prompt, and professional.

We knew the leak was somewhere between the water meter and house. Mike was SPOT ON with finding leak location. He even made it fun for our granddaughter who was here at the time. I wasnt terribly thrilled about paying $450 for the service but to dig down 32 and find the leak (where Mike said it was) couldnt be beat. Alternative would have been to dig a 32 trench, 48 ft to the meter! We highly recommend Simply Leak Detection!

I didnt know what to expect. I had gotten a notice from the city that my meter had been running and that there was a leak of about .5 gallons a minute! I had already been paying the increased cost of the leak for about three months and was worried about spending more money. So I tried to find the leak, dug some holes and was unsuccessful. So I called the plumber. He looked around and tried to find it in the home, but was also unsuccessful. He gave me Micheals number. I gave him a call and immediately he called me back. In our conversation he set the expectation of cost and what he could do. They did a great job identifying a leak location in our water main. They marked it on the surface and the leak was within six inches of their mark after I dug down about 40. I was able to get a patch on the line to stop the leak while I explore options to replace the line. One thing to consider - if your line is an old galvanized steel line like mine, your money may be better spent moving ahead with replacement because any patch is going to be a stopgap measure.

Mike from Simply Leak Detection did an amazing job! He was very thorough and professional and ultimately ended up saving me a ton of time and money. Mike identified the exact spot where the leak was. When I started to dig at the spot he marked I unexpectedly ended up hitting asphalt a couple of feet down (which explains why the helium detection didnt work). Once I broke through the asphalt I was worried that not knowing it was there may have thrown off the location detection but I kept digging nonetheless. after a couple more feet I was about to give up and move to the right or left and viola! water started bubbling up into the hole. I shut the water off and hand dug the hole until I located the pipe (just a few more inches). When I uncovered the pipe, the leak was right there! I literally only uncovered about 6 inches of pipe! I couldnt have done this without the expertise of Simply Leak Detection. Worth every penny!

Mike was extremely knowledgeable, personable, and thorough. He showed up on time and explained the steps he was going to take to detect where our water line leak was. I contacted Simply Leak Detection due to a long time underground water leak in our irrigation system. We set up a date, and Mike arrived on time and ready to roll. Never having dealt with a leak detection service before, I was very interested to see if the process would actually work. After about 3 hours of very thorough work, Mike located the leak, and marked the spot so my irrigation company could repair it.Three days later, the irrigation company came out and started to dig down to the underground water leak. As it turned out, the leak was about 4 and a half feet down, and the leaking pipe was underneath a septic line. It was a difficult fix, but after 3 and a half hours, the leak was repaired.We would NEVER have found the leak without SLD, because the leaking water never reached the surface of the ground, and it ran downslope.Bottom line, money well spent, and the leak was EXACTLY where Mike said it would be. Mike was great!!! I was working from home and could not give him my full attention and he was very patient with me and waited until I was off the phone (several times) to show me the issue or discribe what he was doing and when and where he found the leak. He let me listen to the leak, through his equipment, and let me know he could not find any other leaks in our water line. He recommended a plumbing company (PriCor Technologies) that he trusted. I called Pricor and they came out the same day for an estimate and scheduled the repairs for the next day. Dont call anyone else, Mike is the man, he will take care of you!!!
