When searching for an HVAC system, I selected to meet with McCarthy because of their great customer reviews and ratings. After discussing with Michael their products, services and warranties, I was excited to purchase a system with them. I purchased on Sat and on Monday McCarthys install team arrived early, and immediately started the install. The overall team was awesome. No time was wasted. They were, professional and informative throughout. They removed all old equipment leaving a clean area. Team lead, doubled checked the install, overviewed the new, systems, its operations, maintenance and patiently answered my questions. It’s been almost a month since my new HVAC install and I’m really happy. The overall experience was exceptional. I’m so happy I chose McCarthy Services.

Found them online with great reviews. Had an inspection, literally the same day with a quoted price. I forgot the guy that came here for the inspection and quoted price but he was very knowledgeable and was willing to work with me. The two technicians, Kenny Pham and Walter Grady came over literally the next day and installed it within a few hours. They have a 10 year warranty or something like that. I had called three other places before them and settled with them because their price was very competitive and they was willing to work with me. My old AC unit was over 20 years old and was running on old Freon, but this new AC unit run on the new type of Freon and wow, it cools the house fast and it’s so energy efficient. This new AC unit allows me to connect through Nest and control it online and has a lot of features and it cools the house so much faster! They have great pricing, guaranteed and the two technicians are very professional and did a great job explaining everything. I recommended them to my neighbors and friends! Call and ask, they are willing to work with you!

Service people are always great. Very efficient and friendly. They explain the issues with layman’s terms and perform excellent work. This is the reason for the rating I’m giving.My issue with McCarthy’s is with the call center. I will place blame on management for not properly training the staff that call to set up the service appointments, nor do they have any apparent follow-up with the staff to ensure they are following protocol. Over the past few months, I have been called 15-18 times to make an appointment, when I had previously scheduled one in February for today (13 September). No one checks the schedule to see if the customer has an appointment already scheduled. I have repeatedly asked to speak to a manager, told they would call, but they have been unresponsive.Again, service technicians are great, but Management leaves a lot to be desired!

I called McCarthy for a second opinion on a new AC system. Mine went out on the hottest day of the summer. I met with Brian Langford - a true advisor and professional. He walked me through my options and we closed the deal. Installers showed up at 8am sharp this morning and were done in 3 hours. Also professional and courteous. I’m thrilled I didn’t go with the competitor. This team was too notch!

Only one gripe. The sales rep was friendly and professional. The technicians thus far have been friendly and professional. The product, Carrier heat pump, works well. The one gripe is the product make a loud noise, almost like a horn playing. Ive been told by two techs that it is a part of the defrost process and that it is not just Carrier products that do this. I will complain to Carrier about it. They need to design it better since they are supposed to be known for having quiet products.

Technician James did good work, however, there were some administrative errors in scheduling that need to be addressed. First, since McCarthy does not do duct cleaning, the scheduler should not have scheduled it. Also, James offered to do the fall preventative maintenance I had scheduled after I made him aware that I had scheduled it. Otherwise, I doubt if another technician had been schedule to perform the seasonal preventative maintenance work.

Joshua Biehl came out to take a look at our aging HVAC system. I knew it was 20 years old, and would not last much longer. But the larger issue was making costly band aid repairs that would not last long. So after Joshua thoroughly explained what would be entailed in replacing it, we agreed to purchase a complete new HVAC system (including outdoor compressor.) They allowed us to do the financing that we can easily afford; however, it will paid off long before the end of the terms. The following week Peter and Brian superbly installed our new system and we are pleased and impressed. Thank you, McCarthy Services!

The day of the appointment they no call no show. I sent an email regarding the situation and I received a survey and a bill. The bill was for zero dollars. I understand this may not be the overall company image but the company should have the dignity to call and inform me of the situation.

Donald was the tech, very personable and seemingly qualified. However, he arrived before 9 am, and my appt was between 10 and 2. Annoying, but maybe I’m nitpicking. He said my system (7 yrs. old) is trashed and arranged for followup visit to estimate a new system. The estimate is free, and I’ll evaluate afterwards, but all this is one of those “things that make ya go, hmm.”

Both of my systems in my dual zone house quit working on the same day during 104 degree temps. I called at midnight to schedule an appointment and got it for the same day. They got one system back up and running quickly. Unfortunately, a part has to be ordered for the other one, so I still have to live with the heat in the top half of my house for a couple more days. My rating is based on the speed and professionalism of the people who came out to diagnose the problem and fix what they could.

Mr. Guerrero answered all of my questions, also changed my air filters and showed me how to change them. Alejan Guerrero also took his time showing me how to program the thermostat. Alex Kazeitchev was the best technician I have had in the 23 years I have been a client. His level of knowledge of the infinity system is a cut above. I purchased the Ned Canadian filter system, and now my air quality should be completely 100%. McCarthy service pricing isnt competitive, but the service is good. I remain a loyal customer.

My technician was amazing! Super helpful, patient, listened, great communicator, thought about how to fix the problem since it wasnt immediately apparent, and ultimately fixed it! So much relief. He also wore a mask at my request with no argument and already had one on him. As a high risk individual who has encountered some rude attitudes about masking inside my home, I do NOT take that for granted.Only removed one star for the company, not the technician, because I was told I would get a warning call or text, and instead they sent me an email, which I was not keeping a lookout for due to being explicitly told it would be a call or text. I would have set my email to send me push notifications if Id known. Therefore I had no warning when the technician showed up and had to make him wait while I rushed to get my anxious dog crated.But he was great about being patient with that. Couldnt have asked for a better technician. The company just needs to be clearer about time warnings for customers, or fix a glitch in the system if thats what the issue was.

Im happy because the tech came on time in the early part of window time. 6pm-9pmI recently purchased a new home( older home) and needed a HVAC cleaning service I thought according to the inspection report I received.However, I was in for a rude awaiting. The tech Matthew was very knowledgeable and explained my issue to my family and I.Unfortunately due to age of my home I need a whole new HVAC system. Even though news wasnt what I expected and unfortunate huge cost. After having abysmal service from the company since having the split Carrier system installed on my roof, Sam and Cory and the 6 other ladies who tried to help me with the latest issue were professional in every way. The fact that Richard, the Quality Service Manager, did not respond to one call regarding the issue says nothing for the Company. Until employees such as Richard care that “the Customer is your business”, I would think that McCarthy should change their voicemail recording.

The service was great! The service was scheduled for a hearing check in/ tune up snd the technician, George, had great customer service and knowledgeable. He also assisted with setting me up with the ongoing maintenance plan to ensure consistency with my heating/ air conditioning is maintained (after the plan was not implemented a year ago). Customer Service Dept and Operations/ Logistics were great today - but previously in the week the representative did not call back regarding follow up questions I had regarding the rescheduling of my appointment. Overall still great service but would have liked my questions answered before the appointment.

Sopheak was very helpful and kind during his visit for a diagnostic of my HVAC system. I really appreciated the details he went into on why I need my system replaced. I called McCarthy Services because my unit stopped cooling the other day. I live in a high-rise condo that uses an HVAC coil connected to the water heater, so it has been a hard two days trying to find companies that service me, most won’t even come out and look. When Sopheak checked it out, he found a Freon leak. Due to the age of my unit and the fact it uses R-22, he said they unfortunately cannot repair. It is a difficult and unfortunate situation to begin with, so I really appreciated his kindness! So far this company has also been very quick to try to get someone over here to estimate on the repair cost. I sure need it done ASAP as we go into the hot summer. I hope the repair experience is just as quick and easy as the diagnostic

Update 5/16/2024: had a regular service visit today and Cori was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. The condenser outside had an annoying rattle that he spent some extra time addressing and fixing. All of my experiences with McCarthy have been great so far. I highly recommend.My condenser outside was making an annoying vibration less than one year after installation. I called on Monday and they were here Wednesday during a window of time I requested and the technician was able to identify and repair the vibration in a matter of minutes. I had a few other questions about observations I’ve made on the new system and he was able to provide good responses to all of them. I am happy with the services provided today.Andrew came out to my house today to perform cooling system check and was very informative. He answered all of my questions and made some recommendations to help extend the life of my system in between their maintenance checks. He also explained every part of the service he did as he performed the work which was great. Overall I am very happy with the service received by McCarthy home services.
