In 2009, I had to replace the sewage pipe from my house to the city sewer only to find out this week that it had been attached to a few feet of Orangeburg pipe that was attached to the city sewer. If you know what Orangeburg pipe is you know what happened and it went unnoticed for awhile.When the plumber I had said they didnt have a long enough snake to clean out pipe and I would need to get someone else, thats when I started googling plumbers with good reviews and tried HRI Plumbing who discovered the problem. They were expensive but they tracked down the problems. New PVC was installed to the city sewer where the Orangeburg pipe was, also took stool, vanity, tub, washing machine and kitchen sink drains and installed new PVC in to the drain in the new sewer line installed in crawl space to bypass cast iron-- that was supposed to be done a long time ago from another plumber, when I had the bathroom remodeled. We have been breathing in sewer smell off and on for years along with a stool that flushed sometimes. As the problem escalated the washing machine started backing up when it drained, then backing up into A coil pan for central air and bathtub also - A stinky unhealthy mess. I thank HRI Plumbing guys Troy and Dakota for fixing the problems and caring what we were breathing in but most of all dedicated to fixing the problems.pictures of problems and how they were fixed by Troy and Dakota.

Reliable, responsive, and honest. Troy and John have both helped me out multiple times, they are very professional and knowledgeable. They make themselves approachable to discuss the issues at hand.Even when there was a slight issue that popped up a few weeks after their service, I called and they came out and fixed it free of charge two days later.The service is not as cheap as you’d get for a handyman or smaller company but their resources, reliability and experience are worth the extra dollars.

These guys were great and very accommodating when it came to providing different estimates and all the questions I had. From start to finish, they had great customer service. The contact form on their site prompted a phone call the same day from a person in their office. I forget her name specifically but she and I spoke more than once when shed call to confirm, reschedule, etc. Troy did the estimate and consultation even when the van gave out on him. He still made it! Kris did the installation next day and was polite, quick, and quiet. I had a work meeting and he verified he wouldnt interrupt so that was greatly appreciated! I think the stars aligned for it all to go so perfectly but that would discount the work these guys put in to actually making it happen. We greatly appreciate them and their work. 5/5, would recommend.

I contacted HRI on a Wednesday evening, had an appointment for the following Thursday to look at my water heater due to malfunction. They determined the issue and created a plan for a replacement. The technician was super friendly, and highly professional. It only took Troy a few hours to complete the installation with no mess! Will continue to do work with HRI!

This place is great. On short notice I called HRI to repair a leaking sewer pipe. I was told the service call would be the next day, but they would try to fit me in the same day I called. And they did, the technician Brandon was very professional and personable. He explained that the amount of work I wanted was more than a repair (which I knew but needed conformation). And it would take a sales person to give me a price. Well that was done in the same day also, and Brandon stayed at my house until the salesman spoke with him to confirm he was on his way. The salesman Jeremy was also very personable and professional. I was confident that I was treated fairly with the bid and the work will be done well. If it doesn’t meet my expectations I will edit my review. This place is worth the service call fee.

Brandon with HRI Plumbing did an excellent job on replacing my 40 gallon hot water heater and hauling away the old one which was real old and extremely clogged!! He also was very experienced, thorough, professional and personable. He explained what work he would be doing and answered all of my questions. These guys and gals are awesome! The central air and furnance they installed dropped my utility bill within two months! The installers where Veterans which is always a plus and the quality of work is excellent. I highly recommend these folks. They also offer payment plans that cannot be beat! If you need a new central air, furnace or both, trust me, give these folks a call, you will NOT be disappointed!

I tried 3 other plumbers in the area and HRI was the fourth. The other 3 never called back. HRI answered their phone, explained their fees and got me scheduled right away. They actually called the next day to get me in sooner (my issue was not an emergency). My plumber, Josh, showed up on time, was polite and communicated well. He even noticed a more serious issue that we hadn’t and was able to fix that at the same time. I’ve seen other people complaining about cost but I’m from Denver and their prices are fair where I come from. Maybe they are expensive for Illinois. I can’t speak to that as they are the only plumbers I’ve used.

They offered emergency service over the weekend or service during regular hours. Prior to arrival I was provided with name and picture of technician. Once he discovered the issue he laid out several different options as well as possible complications. No complications arose so repairs were quick and reasonable. We recently bought a replacement filter for our HVAC unit that HRI installed . Unfortunately we were sold the wrong size filter. But when I called and told the HRI folks that it was the wrong size they were so kind that they made a special trip to the house and brought the new (right sized) filter and picked up the old one! That is some awesomely good service!

To begin, thank you HRI Plumbing. Initially, I contacted Aire Serv concerning a furnace replacement. After Aire Serv noticed that our hot water heater was very unsafe, they shut it off. Taking our situation into consideration, HRI Plumbing told us that if we paid for the hot water heater to be replaced, their sister company Aire Serv would provide us with a free furnace and installation. The work was done very quickly and professionally. I would like to point out that the furnace was the more expensive of the two jobs. My family and I are very thankful for the considerate way in which HRI Plumbing remedied our situation. Thank you again.
