I needed multiple plumbing jobs done on my home, and North Hill Sewer & Drain was highly recommended to me. They were able to do the work within a week, and now I too, highly recommend them! Matt was my technician, and he is knowledgeable & highly skilled. He actually went to 5 different Home Depots and Lowes stores to finally get the kitchen faucet I had chosen!! He is a gem and a work-horse, which is rare to find these days. The communication from their office with bids and receipts were immediate, and in perfect order. This company is a class-act, I will definitely be using them in the future and highly recommend!

Outstanding repair! In the midst of remodel and discovered two bad leaks. Matt came to do a bid and ended up repairing everything the same day. Repaired pipes, put in piping for shower and moved tub drain to center to accommodate shower pan, as no longer have a tub. Very knowledgeable of all aspects of the job. Very kind and reliable and all this for a thousand less than other plumbers. Wow! Didn’t know companies like this still existed.1month later 5 starsCalled them out again for a bad back up in toilet and shower this time. They went above and beyond checking the pipes thoroughly and explaining the plumbing issues they discovered while clearing the drain. They repaired everything swiftly and did an excellent job. They discovered a leak in the side sewer too and did what was needed to get a rebate that covered the $5,000 job!! Wow!Yesterday 5 starsEverything backed up again. Warren came out the next morning and in the end we learned that a poor flush on an old toilet in the laundry room, that was recently being used regularly, was the culprit. Just wasn’t flushing well enough to move the $&@ on down the pipe so everything jammed there. It did not take long to clear the long back up and he did not charge for the job. A truly kind professional who really cares. Their business can definitely be counted on!!!

If youre looking for a great plumbing company thats fair, trustworthy and efficient, North Hill is the place to go. Rick Moore, the owner is honest, timely, and very professional. He reworked plumbing in our crawl space that was put together with chewing gum before we bought the house. He worked with us as we needed the crawl space dried out by another company before we started. He went above and beyond his contractual obligations to make sure we were happy with the job, by coming back after the job was done to ensure our Navion tankless water heater and boiler was working properly and bleeding the system thoroughly.I rarely write recommendations for companies, but feel this needed to be communicated.If you need plumbing help, call Rick Moore at North Hill Sewer and Drain!!!

North Hill Plumbing is the best plumbing company in the Des Moines area! They responded to my emergency pipe leak the same day and were fast, efficient, and clean. Their pricing is fair for the quality of service provided—you definitely get what you pay for. Five stars and I will definitely hire them again. Ive used the big-name companies before and overpaid, but at North Hill, its all about value and making homeowners happy.

Rick and Warren are the Real Deal! I called on Thanksgiving with a major plumbing issue. They arrived early the next morning, ready to take on the challenge. When it became apparent that it was going to be a bigger job than expected, they did not charge for their time and efforts that day. They returned later with a plan of action and continued to work the problem, making the determination that we needed to involve the City. Rick took charge and made a phone call; it resulted in the dispatch of City workers to inspect and clear the problem at the main line. This saved us from additional time spent on troubleshooting, potentially unnecessary charges and prolonged frustration about the situation. Rick and Warren were professional, courteous and knowledgeable; treating us with kindness and respect. They both shared a great sense of humor, putting us at ease during a very trying time. They adjusted the final invoice after some fortunate change of circumstances, giving us a break on what could have been a very costly experience. We appreciate the value and feel relief and gratitude that the problem has been resolved. We would call them again in a heartbeat if needed, as they made us feel like family; that we mattered and that our issue was important. Michelle, who answered the phone, was also very thoughtful and efficient on the scheduling side. It gives us peace of mind to know that Rick and Warren are out there, and that real help is only a phone call away. I will remember our interaction and resolution with North Hill Sewer & Drain as the best-case scenario, turning the tide in our favor once they arrived on the scene. We always get three bids and once again North Hill won our business. Our sewer was blocked and almost backed up into the house. One bid came in at 20k, another at 5k, and Warren at North Hill was the only plumber that told us about a rebate available through the water district and in the end, the project cost us almost nothing! The North Hill team cleared and inspected the sewer, cut the concrete, replaced the side sewer pipes that were failing, got the job permitted and inspected, then filled the area back to a functional state. North Hill is a local small businesses that you should consider. Warren is a bad ass!

I called NHS&D on a friday morning for a clogged drain. They were able to get someone out that afternoon. One drain was not able to be cleared that day. On the following Monday after further diagnosis it was found that the original piping needed to be replaced. The repairs were well explained and a fair quote for repairs was given. The repairs were done quickly and the crew was very professional and courteous. I highly recommend North Hill Sewer & Drain.

Called at 6 am 4/15 for a clogged drain in the kitchen. Warren tried to work us in for 2 pm. He called to reschedule for 9 am next morning. Rick called to see if he could show up earlier. He cleared the pipe, changed baskets in the sink, and replaced the plumbing under the sink. I was grateful since they squeezed us in. He also squeezed us in to replace the cartridge and knob for the tub Fawcett. I noticed he had placed the baskets with manufacturer name center top. A small detail that says more about the individual than my expectations. Very responsive (especially in emergency situations), they review the overall situation and tell you what you need to do to fix and prevent the problem. Ive never had a situation where theyve had to come back and fix work theyve done. I have no hesitation is recommending!

North Hill did all the plumbing at our house for a permitted whole bathroom built from scratch. Everything was done perfect, they had to drill through the foundation to connect to the sewer outside the house, and they just touched the areas strictly needed and finished it up really neat. Communication was great, they were always on time, and they did their job as scheduled.

The first was an outdoor faucet replacement/repair and the second was connecting our first and second floor plumbing together, for a new septic system that was being installed.We were very pleased with their punctuality, communication and value of the quality of services that they performed for us. We had this bid out with several other companies and some of them looked completely confused about what we wanted done. Not North Hill Sewer and Drain; they looked at our project, explained how they would perform the needed work and quoted us a very fair price.We would definitely use them again for any future plumbing needs. Some insulation installers said I had an apparent sewage leak in my small and unpleasant crawlspace. I called North Hill Sewer and Drain and a plumber was sent out the same day -- he checked all my bathroom pipes in my crawlspace and found no leak. Then he suggested I turn on my shower and point the shower head all around and, sure enough, that turned out to be the source of the leak into the crawlspace. I simply needed to recaulk and regrout my shower. So the plumber solved this mystery quickly -- and made my day. Whenever I have a plumbing or sewer problem, this is the company I will call.

The pipes under my toilets and bathtub were leaking. A friend recommended them, and I called them for an estimate in the evening. They came the next day, did the inspection for free, and then installed new pipes at a reasonable price. They were very friendly and professional and did a great job.

Chad came out to our tiny house construction to install the flange for the toilet and to set the shower pan.When he got out there we realized, during the foam insulation process, that the toilet drain had moved about two inches from where it was supposed to be.Moving a drain pipe after it was foamed in is almost impossible. It is like being stuck in cement. My contractor and I were able to dig out some of the foam and Chad was willing to stay longer until this was complete.He then was able to use different fittings to place the drain in the correct location.What would have only take about 30 minutes took a couple of hours. We were not charged for this extra time and Chad was very supportive. We appreciated his willingness to go above and beyond.

Rick and Warren did a fantastic job revamping the water connections for a new washer. My old nozzles stuck out 5” from the wall which meant a new washer (on a pedestal) would not sit close to the wall. They installed a recessed system inset into the wall and solved the problem. They were very professional, thorough, communicated what they were doing and cleaned up after they were done. I would highly recommend North Hill Sewer and Drain and, if the need ever arises again, I will call them.

I called North Hill Sewer and Drain with the problem that my hot water only runs for a short time in the shower. Then just cold water runs. This was about 9 am in the morning. Michelle worked hard to find me a plumber that could come in that afternoon. Chad the plumber came in at the appointed time, very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. He assessed what the problem could be and was able to fix it. By the time he left, I had hot water running as needed, especially when taking showers! I thought I had a minor plumbing problem with water around the bottom of a toilet bowl. Turns out I had roots obstructing the drain - big problem. Rick and his crew arrived and after diagnosing the plugged drain, removed the problem and I now have a fully working toilet! Yeah!! We had a flooded front yard and they ran a camera through all the outdoor drains and when the camera wouldn’t travel any farther, they dug around to find the problem.
