Conrad from Bob Oates was great. The first company was unable to get to the leak in my sewer line and Conrads team was finally able to get to the leak and redo the sewer line that was improperly done when my house was built. They spent two full days locating the leak and coming up with a plan to fix the issue. They are a very good company and took great care of me and had the issue fixed before Thanksgiving. Id highly recommend them!

TJ, Joe, and the crew at Bob Oates were awesome in helping restore water service to our home when the water main between street + crawl space burst underground, flooding our garage. They acted quickly, thoroughly, and left our home in arguably better condition than before the pipe burst. Pricing was reasonable for the extent of what was involved, and highly competitive.TJ led diagnostics and options for repair. Very quickly, he identified pros/cons to each, which led to a clear best option to build a new main via directional drilling.Joe led the repair crew, which involved digging up a corner of our driveway, leading the directional drilling machine, identifying an alternate course for the pipe upon finding underground obstructions, then securing and cleaning the fix. This involved extensive, on-site excavation, backfill, plumbing itself, concrete work, and comms throughout.The result was a shorter, more logical & maintainable water main with modern materials, cleanly installed with water restored in only 2 days. They even left our paver driveway in perfect condition. Highly recommended for this type of work.

I choose to work with a family-owned local business: Bob Oates Plumbing. In these past 10 years they’ve been flawless, including re-piping this old 1941 house; fixing the inferior work of a contractor’s mistakes; installing a new sewer; and today – repairing a constantly dripping shower head and running toilet. Wyatt Gavino was a gem: expert at his craft, detailed, kind, and easy to understand his explanations and suggestions. You won’t find Bob Oates Plumbing ads plastered all over TV; I’m guessing they instead plow that money into educating/training their own employees and investing in great equipment. Thanks so much!

Bob Oates replaced a section of my sewer and has also made house calls for minor issues. They are on-time, professional, and (relatively) reasonably priced. Theyve even taken time to educate me on certain minor issues to avoid having to call them in the future.Prices for home maintenance services have skyrocketed in the past few years and Bob Oates is no exception to this rule. That said, they are simply charging industry standard rates. Cant fault them for that.

I had called 3 other plumbers to replace my frost free hose bib and they were all stupid expensive just to show up. After getting an advertising postcard, I called Bob Oates. They set an appointment to come and check out the job the next day. The two guys showed up, said it was an easy fix and they did it on the spot for a reasonable price. Very happy!

I had 3 jobs-leaks which had been going on for sometime and a slow drain.I just didn’t want to deal with finding a reliable plumber. Bob Oats has been around for years so I took a chance.Mykal fixed the leaks-gave me hiscell number-came to scope the issue out-then returned to fix one leak-then had to come back againafter I dealt with an in the way furnace duct. I got to talk directly with him on cell-making the wholething easy. A pro-very knowledgable-and a good conversationalist.I discovered another problem with a slow draining tub after he leftI called him personally for advice and the office hooked me up with Mikey the drain specialist. He worked on the tub with a snake. It was not working.I had visions of needing drain pipe replaced. You still have me for 40 minutes-he said and kept trying. He finally broke through the clog-filled me in on the issues with my old iron pipe and I learned a couple of things. It works! He is a good conversationalist too. I felt like we were old friends right away.Where do you find these guys! They were great.The front office they were tops.

BOB OATES SEWER & TJ BRUCKSHEN! Honestly, what a great experience! Id give them 10 stars if I could! When I started this project I had no references from anyone so was on my own doing the research necessary to find a company. I narrowed it down to Bob Oates based on many factors, including great reviews and their Project Manager TJ who did an truly incredible job from start to finish. TJ was so great at explaining the process and was on my job from start to finish. I plan to do other sewer work with Bob Oates and TJ in the future on another property. I recommend anyone needing sewer work done to call Bob Oates and set up your work to be done with TJ.

My sewer was very backed up and was flooding my basement. I called Bob Oates plumbing and they arrived immediately. They assessed the problem and began work. They did the major the very next day. The could have waited a week but they took the problem as an emergency and fixed the problem. T.J., the leader, suggested a sewer liner to prevent future problems. Called to make an appt and they came within one hour. Our toilet needed to be replaced. The repair person went to pickup new toilet ,took out the damaged toilet and installed new toilet with 3 hours. Have had great experiences with the Bob Oates crew across a number of issues big and small, and they are my go to call moving forward for plumbing work. They have consistently provided thoughtful insights and proposals, focused on pragmatic and did not push unnecessary complexity or scope, and listened to needs. I especially appreciated working with TJ and Konrad to coordinate some larger projects (and really appreciate Konrad going above and beyond on back-and-forth details on a work order), and the work Wyatt and team did on executing said projects - communicative, respectful, and did a tidy and efficient job.

We have used them several times, most recently for the replacement of our entire sewer line. They made this a fairly easy and painless process. Granted, these types of projects are painful on the pocketbook. Bob Oates has comparable prices and excellent service. Andrew was assigned as our project manager. He was professional and communicated throughout. We highly recommend this company.UPDATE: I am updating this review because weve used Bob Oats again to install a new hot water tank heater. They were very prompt in replying to our request for a new hot water heater. We ended up buying our own but then they installed it. Theyre communications are excellent. They always arrive on time or early and let you know ahead of time when they are about to arrive. Theyre very professional. This last time we had Raymond and Talon. They did an excellent job. We highly recommend Bob Oats.

Friday afternoon after speaking to someone in the office when our sewer broke, Bob Oates had someone out to our house with in the hour. Very respectful associate and team came out and had assessed the situation and had a plan to fix the sewer by the end of the day. They used a camera that showed them and help explain to us what was the problem and where it was. We did have four other companies out on Friday afternoon and most did similar work and had similar prices to fix our problem. Bob Oates impressed me with the over all knowledge, equipment, and workers for our problem. Their office impressed me with their assistance, offered a military discount and helped us set up zero percent financing! Bob Oates offered to be out on Sat morning to do the work, but we passed and they came Monday morning and by the end of the day our sewer was working again!! They were very helpful in showing us the remaining of the sewer line to understand possible future problems. Bob Oates applied for the needed city permit. They were able to put in a NuFlow liner with a 20 year warranty to protect us in the future. Bob Oates never made us feel any pressure in the liner! Bob Oates was able to do the liner and all the work in house and did not have to contract out to another company. One stop problem solver!! The workers were very respectful of us, our yard and basement. They protected our yard from the digging and put everything back and cleaned up very nicely. The office was very easy and friendly to deal with the payment and paperwork. We 100% would recommend them to family and would use their service again in the future! It was really stressful as I had family in town. I reached out to Bob Oates, and TJ and his crew took great care of me. They ran a whole new line to the water meter. We hired Bob Oates for a sewer lining. They were the most competitive bid of the several companies we reached out to. Our project manager Julian was always prompt and courteous and professional. He took the time to explain what was being done and why. I had several follow up emails/texts with questions that Im sure would drive anyone nuts, but Julian was always patient and polite and thoroughly answered all of my concerns. When it came time to the installation, there were some delays caused by some staffing issues, but Julian made sure we were appraised of the situation and made sure we were taken care of. At the end of the job, the crew left our driveway looking cleaner than before they started! Were repeat customers of Bob Oates and will continue to use them for our plumbing needs.

We interviewed 4 sewer and plumbing companies after deciding we needed to line our sewer. This was a difficult decision since 3 of the 4 companies we spoke with I thought could do a fine job for us - still do. Bob Oates was the fourth we spoke with. The sales person was terrific, informative, helpful and energetic. We selected Oates, and in the end it was a gut decision. Their crew proved to be efficient, competent, and basically great to get along with. I always felt like they knew what they were doing, and they cared about doing the job right. This is important because this work is hard along with many challenges. I do not know anything about sewers so there is no way to check their work, and the bulk of their work was nine feet in the ground. Trust becomes a big factor and I have put my trust in Bob Oates. I truly believe if there are any issues down the road they will be there for us - this is big for me.

Bob Oates had someone who answered the phone (unlike some other places where I had to leave a message) and quickly scheduled us for between 8 and 10 am the next morning. Got a call around 8:40 with an ETA so I wasnt left wondering when they would arrive. The two guys who showed up were nice and knowledgeable. They gave me a time estimate and a cost estimate for the repair before they started. They got it done quickly and with no drama. Cleaned up the workspace nicely before they left. We recently experienced a backup in the side sewer of our 1931 older home. Bob Oates Sewer and Rooter responded on a weekend when no other plumber would. The remedy to our issue was to install a sewer liner through the 4” line to the city main. Bob Oates’ crew performed their work including excavation and plumbing tie ins to the line with diligence and professionalism throughout the process. A few problems did come up during the project but their ethical approach to them made them a standout company. We would definitely recommend Bob Oates Sewer and Rooter to anyone wanting the best at reasonable pricing.

Definitely have to give a shout out to Bob Oates! We have called them several times for issues with our main line drain being clogged due to roots and they have always done a great job. Our most recent issue was last week, and we had our main line inspected and then hydro-jetted. TJ was super professional, friendly, and awesome and explained everything really well to me and my husband. He got the line cleared out and looking great. We also had Bobby come the next day to do an evaluation on possibly resealing our pipes and he provided a lot of great information and was very professional as well. Overall we are really happy with Bob Oates and have found all of the technicians to be very trust-worthy and honest. We will definitely continue to call them for any future issues!

This is our second time working with Bob Oates and we’ve been very impressed. Earlier this year they replaced our side sewer, which was a huge job. Their bid for the job was right in the middle of the ones we received, but we were so impressed with their professionalism and knowledge and how well they explained everything. They did the job very thoroughly, and weren’t willing to settle for anything less than perfect. Absolutely great communication throughout and everyone was very kind.Yesterday our sump pump broke and our basement flooded, so we called them again. They were able to get out to our house first thing in the morning. They finished the job quickly, explained everything thoroughly, and the labor charge was really reasonable. They even went the extra mile in helping us by emptying all the heavy buckets of water we’d pumped out earlier, without even being asked. Super happy with this company and would recommend to others.

Bob Oates crew was awesome! They came to do an assessment but quickly identify the cause of the leak where we could see some damage in the ceiling of the first floor. They were able to address and get things repaired, so we thought, during that first visit and at a reasonable price - the leak we had was VERY slow and took a couple of days for us to see it was still there, they came back again did an exceptionally thorough job and finally fixed the leak without additional fees. I will be saving their info for if/when we need a plumber. Highly recommend.

I have found my new favorite plumbing company! My kitchen sink got clogged so I tried the plunger, drain cleaners, and even got my own drain snake...nothing. The clog was too deep in the pipes. I called Bob Oates late Friday and they they had someone out by 9am the next day. Their names were Henry and Dino. They were very polite and professional. They set up their machine and had my drain cleared in under 5 minutes. I have water again!!! They even tried to put everything back under my sink. In my past experiences with other companies the workers are willing to leave a mess for you to clean, not these guys. They also wore footies and a mask before entering. Ive used Bob Oates for the past several years. Im never disappointed by their on-time, friendly, and professional service. I had my mainline sewer jetted this service call. After a camera scope, I was given choices about what needed to be done. There was no sales pressure, no doom scenarios, etc. if I didnt do such-and such. Because the staff had finished sooner than expected, the original quote given to me was reduced to reflect that time difference. I had already made out the check for the original quote but was told that price was less because of reduced service time. Wow! No way I would not call BO for any plumbing services. Great outfit.

I had a great experience with Bob Oates. Had someone out to clear out my sewer line. I was really impressed with how professional they were. And he really went above my expectations. My cleanout needs to be access from my neighbors yard and he introduced and checked with the neighbor before doing the work. He also cleaned out my down spout p-trap which in connected to the clean out. Ive had a few different companies out in the past and none of them did either of these things.

What we really appreciated is that after we had already paid, the technician realized that a note on our account indicated we were to get a discount because of a scheduling mistake. We hadn’t even been told that we would be given a discount, but the technician notified the office and they in turn contacted us to tell us they would send a new invoice for the reduced amount and would stop the original payment. We appreciated their effort to make things right when they could have accepted the original payment without saying anything.

During the summer, TJ and his team installed a clean-out in our sewer, and hydro-jettied our root-bound pipes. Within a few months, our roots were back, and TJ gave us a quote for a liner. The team arrived as scheduled, and worked quickly to install the liner, keeping the excavation to a minimum and cleaning up well. TJ made sure the job was complete by videoing the final result; and taking an extra step, at no additional cost to us, to solve a extra challenge with our 100 year old pipes. Coreys team at Bob Oates is very good. They did not waste time at all changing all of our old shut-off water valves in our 24 unit, 25 yr old bldg. They had scheduled my unit to be started in the afternoon, but called around 10 AM to see if they could come earlier because they were just finishing with another unit. Since they shut the water off to the whole bldg at 9 AM, I thought that if they started on mine early they could finish early to turn the water back on. Thats exactly what happened. They didnt take a lunch break and finished around 2:30 and had turned the water back on by 3 PM as promised. All went according to schedule and no problems occurred with the work that they did. Only thing that they forgot to do was to turn the water heater back on. I had showered the next day with some tepid water, but I turned the power back to the water heater and all was fine in a few hrs. I want to thank Corey and his assistant for the fine job they did. I hope you enjoyed listening to the blues I had going on YouTube while you were working too.

The scheduling was pain free, and they even called saying they could be early if I wanted the day of the appointment. We had a broken sewer pipe which they found and repaired instantly so we could get back on line while we evaluated our options for full and permanent repairs. They are two separate crews but they communicated with each other constantly. Both kept me informed on status each day until the job was done.

A few days ago after all the strong rain about a week ago, TJ from Bob Oates Plumbing arrived to camera our storm drain piping. He and another technician came out last year about the same time to inspect our lines and ended up jetting them for a mud blockage. We live in a high water table area at the bottom of a steep Environmentally Critical lot (with strong underground springs) that was recently completely stripped of vegetation by the new property owner, so we wanted to make sure our lines had not gotten silted in by run off or blocked by mud again as happened in 2019.When TJ arrived, we were grateful that we had requested a camera because just before he showed up, our new 2 1/2 storm drain plugs/caps had just arrived by mail and while installing them, my husband accidentally dropped one into the drain line, and it was inaccessible for retrieval! TJ to the rescue with a CREATIVE use for the camera: he was able to use the camera to not only inspect our lines, but he was able to push the fallen plug all the way through the entire length of drain line to our exterior stormdrain catch basin. TJ saved the day. PLUS, he was friendly, professional, good natured and easy to communicate with. He deserves a management position!We have been loyal customers of Bob Oates plumbing since I bought our home in 1974. We would not think to work with anyone else. If anyone needs professional service on time and done with care, this company is the best!

Crews were cordial, respectful of our place and garden, and left their inside workspace cleaner then they found it. Project stayed below the previously quoted range (range based on aforementioned potential discoveries). Bobby did not up sell the scope where he could’ve, instead explained clearly why he does not advice customers on a potential back flow preventor I asked about.I hope to not have to hire them again, but certainly will if the need arises.

Prescott got there at 3:30 and blasted my cleanout with hot water 60ft out. He was very knowledgeable and fair in his explanation of what he could do to help my situation. I did not feel pressured at all. He left my basement cleaner than when he got there too!

I am more than satisfied. Timothy B worked for over 2 hours to clean my sewer line. Sweat was pouring from his forehead and he did not stop to take a break. I felt so bad for to have to work so hard. He is young and a hard worker. He has a great work ethic. I could not figure out why it was so clogged since I am so careful what goes down my drain. When he asked me if I used disposable wipes I remembered that I saw my daughter using them. I put a stop on that but I guess the damage had already been done. No wonder I had a slow drain since she moved. Thank you again Timothy...Moral of the story...dont put disposable wipes down the toilet.

What a great company! I actually chose them on Angies list for a special they were running on sewer relining- they came in gave me a good price and completed the work in a timely manner. Due to the amount of digging they had to do, a rock wall had to be dismantled which they did very carefully and actually reassembled it perfectly! My tulips and flowers all reappeared this spring!The end result was, however, a few scrapes and gouges on my newly resealed driveway. I showed the minimal damage to the owner Bob and he and his crew returned once the weather permitted and happily resealed my driveway back to the condition it was when the job began. I highly recommend them, and plan to hire them again for additional work.

Professional - they get down to business straight away, wear masks, & take off their shoes without being asked; knowledgeable - theyve been able to diagnose the problem quickly, and always take the time to answer my novice homeowner questions; they call ahead to say theyre on their way (or theyre running late - hey, it happens, and I appreciate the transparency), and perhaps the greatest endorsement of all - we have a new baby in the house, and each time theyve been over, somehow the baby has managed to be sleeping lol. When I tell them that the baby is sleeping, they actually tiptoe around the house, whisper to me and to each other (when there are two repair technicians), and are actually as quiet as I believe they can be when fixing pipes in the wall and floor. Fantastic company who we have used multiple times - highly recommend!

The 2 guys were very polite and professional. they pulled the toilet and put a camera in the sewer to see why I had a clog. They showed me the inside of the pipe and the likely cause, which fortunetly did not need extensive repair. They were very clean and tidy given the type of business that needed done. Their office kept me informed of their arrival so scheduling was a breeze. I recieved a copy of the video emailed to me for my records. TJ was the man! He came in and was great with our dog and son. After an introduction and brief assessment he got right to work unplugging our kitchen. Using a cable, he skillfully navigated his way around a 90 degree corner in our maze of plumbing (building built in the 60s). A wrong turn at the junction would have meant risk of damage to an adjacent unit’s plumbing.Under heavy pressure and a dog licking him incessantly, TJ successfully cleared a massive grease plug and created a clear path for water to drain. We can do our dishes in the kitchen now!!I don’t usually write reviews, but TJ’s customer service and expertise were over the top.
