Have an old house with old plumbing and fixtures and Aurora Plumbing Supply has saved our bacon a few times over the years. Today I went in looking for a replacement stem and handle assembly for a hose bib because I needed to replace the packing but had been unable to remove the bolt holding the handle in place. I wish Id gotten the name of the very friendly guy who helped me because he said, Well, I could just get the screw off for you - which, after about 10 minutes work with a torch, he did. Then put on two new washers and a new handle and I was out of there for about 10 bucks. No charge for the labor. Great place, nice guy!

Long story--short, I am extremely grateful to Aurora Plumbing (and especially to Spencer) for saving me a bunch of money and a bunch of time! Every employee I saw there was not only a plumbing expert, they were all patient, kind and helpful.Long story, I went to Aurora Plumbing for the first time after destroying the insides of my extra tall sink faucet.If I could find one, I was prepared to pay hundreds of dollars for an entirely new faucet. Or, ouch(!) hundreds more to have a plumber visit.At two big-box DIY stores, it took me 15 minutes each to even find someone with a bit of plumbing experience. No plumbers. Just retail experience.At Aurora Plumbing, Spencer saw what I had destroyed, went to the back, literally dug and yanked the old unit out, replaced and tested it! He charged me $20 for the part.Forgetting how I had taken the whole thing apart, he then showed me how to reassemble it, saw I was missing another part, got a kit to replace it. And then did the whole reassembly for me. I paid $40 in parts. Thats it! $40 bucks!Aurora Plumbing was the best DIY help I have ever gotten anywhere in 10+ years of DIYing. While I was at the counter, I watched three other employees offer the same level of service and expertise. Pro plumbers were going to Aurora Plumbing too.Thank you, Aurora Plumbing. Thank you Spencer for your amazing help and kindness. And saving me a bunch of time and money. A big bunch.

I always appreciate the patience and how thorough the counter help is when I visit Aurora Plumbing. They take time to demonstrate and explain parts and procedures to help make the project come together. They sell you what you need and dont try to upsell. It helps to take photos so they can diagnose your needs correctly. Joel was great!

I went down there with parts from an old corner toilet thinking I would never find the parts. Long drive, best results imaginable! I walked in and a parts person named Travis asked if he could help me. I handed him a shopping bag full of the parts, plus a toilet seat. He came up with the parts and and a full explanation of installation procedures for each item. He even found a seat to match! He was concise, pleasant and totally helpful/patient with me. I had shopped there years ago, and things had not changed. It is still the best plumbing parts store around. Yes the trip all the way from Arlington to North Seattle was well worth it. What a knowledgeable customer oriented company, with a welcoming and well trained employee base. I am obviously an old and semi physically impaired person, they held the door for me, and their genuine smiles made my day! Went home and within an hour had a brand new old toilet! As I embarked on my first DIY bathroom remodel, I knew I would need some plumbing advice. What I didnt expect was how incredibly helpful the team at Aurora Plumbing would be. After striking out at the nearby Big Box stores both in terms of inventory and suggestions of strategies to make my new bathtub/shower and sink work, a friend suggested I try Aurora. I was fully prepared to be gently mocked and questioned for my belief I could do it myself, instead I was given all the support, parts and creative ideas I needed, all of which worked perfectly.To top it all off, when I reached my FINAL step of remodel by putting in the new tub spout, only to have it leak and not fit, I went back, fully defeated ready for whatever they could do to help me, no matter the cost. There, Sean M., listened carefully to my issue, looked closely at my part (that I didnt purchase at Aurora but previously at a Big Box), went into the back room very focused with a handful of tools. He returned 5 minutes later, with the part all clean and fixed and then provided detailed instructions on how to make it fit at home.I REPEAT: HE FIXED A PART THAT WASNT EVEN FROM THEM.I dont know when I will try something like this again, but I am customer for life now.

I had a slow leak from my refrigerator water supply valve and so I took it to a big box home supply chain less than 5 mile from my house. Their so called plumbing expert sold me a repair kit with a bunch of different seals for $10. I took it home and replaced the seal as instructed and it still leaked. Actually worse.So I drove down to Aurora Plumbing and showed it to one of the knowledgeable guys behind the counter. I believe his name was Joel. He told me my options and then he took my disassembled handle, valve and screws into the back. After a few minutes he came back with my valve all put back together with a new seal. He even cleaned off the hard water deposits for me! Talk about excellent customer service!! I was in a bigger shock when I went to the cashier and my bill was $1.05.I went back home and reinstalled the valve and it works perfectly! After this experience, I am not wasting my time going to the big box hardware stores ever again for plumbing issues! Yes its a longer drive but these people are true experts who know plumbing and Im not making multiple trips wasting my time and money! Thank you Aurora Plumbing!! You have a new customer for life!

First, I would love to give a shout to Matt, who works at Shoreline location;his fantastic customer service skills and helpful manner has restored my faith in people. After weeks calling and emailing the manufacture of my sink,I was left without an affordable solution to a very simple fix, and I was very irritated. A friend recommended Aurora plumbing to me and I decided to give it a try. Matt took the time and found the part I was looking for briskly and without issue. Healso explained everything to me in an easy to understand way without sounding condescending. I payed a few dollars for the small part that I needed while the manufacturer wanted to charge me for a whole new spout plus shipping. Thank you to Matt, I appreciate you and the time you took to help me fix my sink.

Highly recommend! Friendly, helpful and efficient!Twice Ive come in looking for advice, twice theyve given me an answer that I wasnt finding online/elsewhere. And - both solutions worked perfectly.First time - I was installing a drain in my vanity sink, no matter how many times I followed the manufacturers instructions, I was getting a drip beneath the sink, down the threads of the drain. The advice was simply to apply plumbers putty around the threads before installing. Worked like a charm.Today - my bath faucet was slowly dripping. They went out of their way to show me how the cartridge inside the hot handle works and why a worn washer was causing the drip. $2.09 later and my problem is fixed.Ill drive out of my way to return to Aurora Plumbing next time I have an issue.

We could not be happier with the help with our bathroom update. New shower pan, walls, door, toilets, sink and everything. We had our own contractor. But, chose Aurora Plumbing to provide all of the fixtures. As in any project there are issues that arise. I took a photo of the issue and sent it to our sales person. Then immediately followed up with a phone call. The always supportive, Amber, was ALREADY on the phone to the supplier handling our issue. A huge thank you to Amber and also a huge thanks to Travis for talking me through the plumbing issue I had.

I walked in and as soon as I said, I need a moen kitchen faucet replacement hose, the cashier replied, the model ######? Yes, that one. I was in and out in three minutes with exactly what I needed. Service was prompt and courteous. It was only after, as I sat in my car fiddling with the GPS, and they turned the Open sign off, that I realized Id showed up at closing time! I felt rather embarrassed, but Id had no clue. The cashier was professional and gave no hint of attitude at my gaffe. I hugely appreciate their consideration and wonderful service, and will definitely return for any further plumbing needs.

Had a minor faucet issue, called ahead to make sure they had the right part and they were super friendly and helpful without remotely making me feel bad about not knowing how to describe the parts beyond the brand. When I showed up in person to pick up, Matt in the Parts Department had the relevant piece pulled already and and was happy to show me how to assemble and fix it. Excited to go back next time the right project pops up so I can learn more from this place with such nice, welcoming people.

I came in with a shower knob from a leaky shower. The gentleman behind the desk was pretty sure it was made by Price-Pfister, and sold me a repair kit and a few simple tools I needed. He also explained why I probably wouldnt need to replace the valve seat behind the cartridges; but in this case, I did. So I went back for the tool required to remove the old seat. The same gentleman got the tool, the disappeared into the back for eight minutes; I heard a grinder running during this time. He came out, having adjusted to tool to perfectly fit the seat I needed to remove. The seat was difficult to remove, and without his work would have been impossible. This is right up there with the best customer service Ive ever received.I did ask whether I should replace the seats for the other two cartridges at the same time. The two guys behind the desk looked at each other, then one said, Number one rule of plumbing: If it aint broke, dont fix it. They conveyed high expertise, and they have my very strong recommendation.

These guys are amazing! I had shopped at the store before, but didnt know they did plumbing house calls too until I needed to find a plumber for my second bath install. They were so amazing to work with, Mark the technician who did the job, was fast, knowledgeable and reliable. Best part is they were far less than any other bid I received. Its much harder than you think to find a reasonably priced plumber who is nice and reliable. I would recommend their services to anyone!

Called Aurora Plumbing after trying for days to clear our kitchen drain with every method for home use on the internet except caustic chemicals. Even bought a $100 higher powered snake.AP sent Will out and he arrived in LESS THAN AN HOUR and had our drain running in 20 minutes! At no extra charge, he also ran a video camera down to check the condition of the pipe. He was friendly, helpful, knowledgable, and just downright nice.We aren’t in the habit of making recommendations, but Wow. If you need a plumber, Will from Aurora Plumbing is your man.

He tried so hard to find the part for my toilet without any luck and he told me if I called the company they may send it to me sooner than he thought he could receive. I had to call twice as the first time after waiting 8 minutes I was disconnected and then when I called the second time after 15 minutes they were able to tell me they would overnite the part. I did purchase your sewer cleaning by his recommendation and am very pleased with the product. Thanks for everything. Had one plumber out and he did one job and it turns out he didnt do it right. I found out a while later and called and told the shop and they sent someone to fix the job. I was also in the shop and was clearly being upsold on an item that he first quoted as less than Lowe and Home Depots price, but a wise listening to what he was telling me was that it was going to be about $80 more than the $110 part after all the additional things needed. They clearly cater to people with bigger budgets now. Still, a great place for quality supplies and fixtures.

I had quite a quandary and spent seven or eight hours at three other hardware stores, speaking to six or seven people, all of whom had a very hard time understanding what I was asking for, and none of whom could find a solution for my needs. The guy who helped me at Aurora Plumbing understood immediately what I needed, and had a solution for me in about 60 seconds. Youve made my month!

I needed to replace my center shower valve so I removed it & brought it in. I wish I knew the service person’s name because he really went above & beyond my expectations.First- he let me know that I didn’t need a whole valve, just a replacement washer, which he removed and replaced for free.Second- I told him I wanted to replace the valve stop, so he found the matching stop and then custom ground a stop removal tool to fit the stop! The only thing I was charged for was the new stop. Really helpful! I will do all plumping related shopping here from now on.

I have had multiple interactions with this company, and they have all been excellent. The first was several years ago, and the details escape me now, but it was positive enough that I reached out to them again last year when I was looking for some drain part. What I needed was no longer manufactured, but they went out of their way to locate a replacement and then told me to obtain it AT NO FINANCIAL BENEFIT TO THEMSELVES.So, when a sprayer in my shower suddenly started leaking (after I turned the house water back on after being out town, which I was told probably contributed), I called them. The “leak” was more like a steady stream, at something like 3-4 gallons per hour, so I didn’t want to leave the water pressure on. But they were backed up with other emergencies and couldn’t get out to my house for nearly a week.Nevertheless, they talked me through solving the problem completely on my own. First, they correctly diagnosed it as the sprayer valve, and then they helped me identify the brand of the hardware, using emailed photos, since there was no logo on it. Then they located the sprayer valve, which, incidentally, had been discontinued. Finally, they sent me a schematic on how to install it. I even had to call back during the installation because at first I wasn’t sure how to disassemble the parts and then I doubted that they had really given me the right part. And because this played out over a couple of days, I ended up dealing with a second technician, besides the front office person. And to my surprise, he was just as helpful as they had been.Incidentally, they explained their fee schedule right from the start, and I’m sure that some will think that it’s high. Those types will chose to ignore the value of technically trained people who know what they are doing and who do it efficiently and correctly the first time. They will also overlook the extensive overhead of a business like this, as if the hourly rate is going straight into someone’s pocket. But above all, they will overlook the service that this company consistently delivers, especially when a customer really needs it and when this business stands to gain nothing at all for providing that much needed service.James McCullough

I love these guys.Whats with all the hate?I am a DIY-er, so I cant speak to their service department, but the counter help is knowledgeable and helpful.Sure they cost more, but were not there to get the absolutely cheapest price on the absolutely cheapest made part, are we?Quality parts, professional counter help, excellent stock of hard to find items.Complain all you want about prices as you sip your $6 organic chai latte wandering through PCC considering which sustainably-sourced bamboo napkin rings offer free shipping.I will continue to support a local institution that provides a staff with answers and an actual showroom.P.S. Thanks for that replacement bath fan motor. It was pricy, but I was so glad I didnt have to guess about ordering the wrong thing online, or tear the ceiling out to replace the entire thing with a new piece of crap from a big-box.

He called to let us know he was on his way and his ETA.Along with being kind and knowledgable he is a good problem solver. He makes notes about the plumbing issue of the day so that he can refer back to the plumbing history of the house the next time he comes.

I needed a new kitchen faucet and I came into your store and purchased one. Your plumber Dean came out and was right on time for my appointment. He was super pleasant. I told him I had called and notice that there was a leak under the sink. I noticed this when I removed everything so he could install my new faucet. Dean was super nice and said no leak He said he problem was with the old faucet. So, I did not need to have any of my pipes replaced. A huge savings for me. I am 74 years young and he also gave me a senior discount. I have used Aurora Plumbing Supply and swear by them. The folks at Aurora Plumbing are very honest and upstanding. Wonderful! We have a super old tub that had an old crusty drain and lever plug. The man at the parts desk found us a quick and also modern fix to make our shower look good as new, he even took the time to show us how to install it. Very professional and very helpful! Im not a plumber by trade, but Im a handy guy. When I came out of my house this week and saw a little geyser in my driveway from where my water main had burst, I had a mini emergency. I honestly went to Aurora Plumbing Supply because they were the closest of that type of store to me and I thought I would be able to pick someones brain on what to do. I was blown away by the thoughtfulness, inquisitiveness, helpfulness, and generosity of everyone I worked with there. Partly because I had to go back like 4 times in two days since I was learning and messing up a lot is what allowed me to interact with so many people there, but I can say with confidence that the service I received was not just the fluke of one good employee, but that the whole organization seems to be a well run business with employees who care and know their trade well. I really appreciated the service I received and will be going back whenever I have plumbing needs (which I honestly hope isnt anytime soon).

The company responded the next day after my call. Ryan came and inspected the problem and proposed several options. I accepted the option for him to use his camera to find the sink drain plug in the plumbing. He used the rotary electric snake and cleared the blockage. In two hours the problem was gone and a fair price charged for the work. Ryan is a good technician.

Aurora Plumbing really helped us out today! Our new hot water heater was leaking and we didnt know why. We were sure it must be the seal, but low & behold Aurora Plumbing sends out a technician instantly, within the hour we called, and the man was so nice ~ He showed us it wasnt properly installed, and all it needed was a small hose. He told us for now, we can let the water drip into a small bucket since the leak was slow and we can look into having the original installer come back to fix it. Aurora Plumbings technician did not even charge us! *Thank you Aurora Plumbing!!* We will not forget your kindness. When we need further plumbing done, you will get our business 100%!
