Andy arrived on scheduled time, offered trench-less options. Provided 2 options, either just replaced the plastic pipe between the meter and outside the house. Or option 2, update the copper pipe inside with new ball switch and pressureRegulator . Choose between 250PSI heavy duty pipe or copper K single all the way (no joints). I requested the quotes for using copper K only and option 1 or 2. Got the quote same day on Friday. They made the offered I can’t refused. Signed the contact Monday. They came in today Tuesday and completed the job within 4 hours. People won’t able to tell that they were here looking at our garden. 3 big holes (3 feet deep) were dug. These were after photos. Also no plants were harmed. -

When you have an underground water leak youre sort of at the mercy of the first person to call you back or answer their phone. Not having much luck with either, I was able to get an appointment with a large and well know Seattle plumbing company who sent a sales person out only to tell me that I needed a whole new water line and that it wasnt even worth doing a leak detection. Not comfortable with this assessment I immediately got on google and after reading many similar reviews decided to give Akers Outdoor Plumbing a call. To my surprise, not only did they they pick up the phone, but Traci said that shed have someone out in an hour to assess the situation. This was on a Friday afternoon mind you. Andy showed up, not much longer after the last person left, asked a few thoughtful questions and like a detective found the source of the leak in about 10 minutes. Andy scheduled his crew to come up the next business day and the leak was repaired. 5 stars to Akers! -

Great experience with the whole Akers team! I was in a pinch with a leak in my main line over seafair weekend. Andy came out the same day to review the issue, get me an estimate, and suggest some ways to mitigate the issue so the 5 of us at the house could have water. Then on Monday they were here and put in a full new line! Other places were weeks out and more expensive. The whole crew was super nice, didnt need anything from me, but also was happy to chat and explain everything to suit my curiosity. -

Akers replaced my water line recently and I couldnt be more impressed with the professionalism.I have a long driveway (over 200) with a shared utilities easement, and one of my neighbors maintains a garden over it. Akers laid a new water line under the garden without disturbing any of the landscaping. They got the project done on-time and on-budget.The whole team was great to work with -- no surprises, and everyone was great to talk to. -

I can’t begin to say how happy I am we selected Akers to replace our main water line. We recently received a letter from the water company saying our water usage was abnormally high. We quickly determined there was a leak between our meter and house. After some research we called the five highest rated plumbing companies. Ryan from Akers came out the same day I called. I was immediately impressed with his professional demeanor and knowledge. His understanding of our existing plumbing turned out to be exactly what was there and the estimate was very reasonable and competitive. After receiving the rest of the quotes it was an easy decision to select Akers.Traci coordinated the utility marking and validated that where I live doesn’t have permit and inspection requirements (I checked too and she was right!). Ryan and his crew showed up and dug right in. They dug down where crossing utilities were so they could avoid hitting them. The existing water line was just where Ryan thought with the connections also being what he thought. They found the source of the leak coming from a section under our driveway. Finding it and the location I am glad we decided on replacing the line. They quickly installed the new water line and restored our yard as much as the rain would allow. Best of all they didn’t need to break any concrete! They will be back in a couple weeks to finish up once the mud/soil has settled. In all, the job took 4 hours when I had expected 10+.For price, quality and experience Akers can’t be beat. I would recommend them to anyone! -

Today, Akers replaced our main service line from the meter to the house. They were quick, prompt and did a great job. You likely wouldnt notice that any work was performed today if you didnt know. Thanks! -

Akers did a fantastic job replacing our broken water main after Seattles recent big freeze. Its always a great sign when the city inspector shows up to sign off and says that Akers is a great plumber and that he barely has to check their work. But here are other ways they went above and beyond:1. I called their office line for a quote at 8pm fully expecting to leave a message and Traci picked up and got us scheduled for a bid the first thing next morning. I did not expect service like that!2. They returned the quote the same day, and it was very competitive on pricing, especially against some of the big names. They didnt nickle and dime us, another contractor added a line item to replace a 2x2 concrete piece that needed to come up for access to the main.3. They are the cleanest contractors Ive ever had the pleasure of working with. You can hardly tell where they had to dig a few holes to access our water main, and they left the property truly good and new and with almost no sign they were even here. Even the little concrete pad they replaced looks great!4. They handled everything with the city for the inspection, super easy.5. Ryan, Andrew and the crew were friendly dudes, put up with all my questions with great patience and can I mention again how clean they were?6. Traci was great with communication and always let us know next steps and timing.Akers saved us from having no water at a fair price and did an all around excellent job. I cant recommend them highly enough! -

Akers Outdoor Plumbing were professional in every aspect of the job. They were extremely knowledgable about the best way to install a new water line in a challenging yard with many mature plants and trees that they took great care to protect. I give them my highest recommendation. -
Review 9 (2023-10-16 - Rating: 5)
Excellent customer service! Our water main had a leak and I got a referral list from our water district. I called every service on the list to get quotes. Ryan from Aker’s came out and completely understood our challenges. We have at least a 10’ elevation difference between our house and the water meter. That elevation has very tricky rock terraces and a large mature mimosa tree that we absolutely adore. Ryan was knowledgeable about our landscaping and was very confident he could run another water line using their hole hog. The hole hog bores a hole through the ground so that a trench does not have to be dug. All other companies I called told us they would 100% have to dig a trench and remove rocks in our terrace to do it. I did not like the idea of rocks being removed, a large trench being dug and roots to our mature tree being cut. Ryan and his team came out and in about 4 hours ran a new line, like promised, using the hole hog. One week later we can’t even tell someone did anything major in our yard. Very minimal disruption. The whole team was fantastic to work with. I watched the whole job being done from start to finish and they are efficient and hard working. I would hire Ryan and his crew again in a heartbeat. -

Working with Akers was easy and great Customer Service. They are fair on their price and what I loved most is when they said the job will get done it was completed on time and explained it to me in great detail. I would highly recommend them for an new water from the street to the house. Great team! -

Never have I had such a positive contractor experience; professional, knowledgeable, honest and the highest quality of workmanship to the finest detail. Their customer service was impeccable from start to finish. I did not know of Andy and his company before this incident, but there’s no doubt I will recommend him and call him again when I need help.I contacted Akers after spending two days unsuccessfully trying to locate the leak in the water line between the meter and my house. They were able come to my house that same day. They determined and explained how the water line had deteriorated and needed replacement. I requested and received an estimate that same day (thanks to Traci’s perseverance). The quote was quite reasonable. Traci was so helpful in keeping me apprised of when the crew could do the work. In observing the crew work, I was so impressed with their efficiency and high-quality workmanship. If you’re unsure about whom to select for your plumbing repairs, go with Akers. You will not be disappointed. -
Review 13 (2020-09-23 - Rating: 5)
We had a few quotes from various plumbing companies to have a water main repaired/replaced. Our house was built in the 60s and they planted big trees over the utilities, weve had our water repaired twice and on the third time we decided it was time to think about moving the line. Akers came out and gave us options but showed us how much of a liability it would be to repair at its current leak spot, so we bit the bullet and had it moved. They were responsive and were only delayed because of a previous project and issues with the city. They showed up only a few days late and did the work with amazing quality and were super nice about explaining what they were doing and why (but not if you dont care, which I did). The team did a great job and I have already referred them to someone else who needs work done. -
Review 14 (2020-08-29 - Rating: 5)
I had an emergency underground leak that was emptying my water main into my yard and my neighbor’s yard under concrete. I had to shut off the water and we didn’t have running water in the house. Most of the companies I called didn’t have any availability soon, and many would only do either the leak detection OR the repair work. Traci and Andy were phenomenal in squeezing our emergency into their schedule and were able to come and take a look the very same day. They were then able to fit me into their schedule the very next day and we ended up only having to deal with no water for two days. Ryan and the crew were also very professional and knowledgeable and left minimal impact on the yard and concrete since their method didn’t require any of the concrete to be dug up (they just go underground). I’d highly recommend Akers and would call them again in a heartbeat -

I recently received a higher than normal water bill and determined that I had a water leak somewhere between my house and the meter at the street. Andy came out to take a look and sent me a work proposal to bypass and install and new water line. I checked out reviews of other plumbing companies and compared prices but found that Akers had nothing but positive reviews and quality work reported from its customers. I went ahead and had Andy and his crew come out to do the work, it was finished within a day, they were very courteous and knowledgeable and restored my front yard to the point that I would have never known that any digging was done. They even installed a brand new shut off valve in the front yard. Bottom line excellent work done with quality parts...I would recommend them to anyone who is unsure about who to turn to for plumbing repairs. -

This company is AMAZING! I received a $2000 water bill from the city and was in a panic. Called numerous companies to find someone who could detect a leak, after all the shut downs and limited capacity due to Covid, my small business is struggling. Each company that I called wanted to charge upwards of $1600 just to find a leak and many couldnt get me in until next week and some just were not interested in the job. It was about a 75 foot run and the pipe was only 2.5 feet down, so a fairly easy job. I called Akers and immediately could tell the difference in customer service. The receptionist was friendly, asked all the right questions and got back with me immediately sending someone over on the day I called. Andrew showed up right on time and was efficient, professional, and very kind and helpful. He found the leak immediately and also gave me some great advice for next steps so we could save some money and be within regulation with the city. Akers is very fair priced and the customer service is phenomenal. I have kept their card and will be calling them for any future challenges and plan to recommend them to all of my friends. I cant say enough nice things about how this company operated today, I am SO grateful! -

Without a second thought I would recommend and call Akers Outdoor Plumbing again. I came home from work and discovered a water mainline leak in my front yard/porch area. I have some good experience with broken things around the house but water endless rushing from my home into my front yard - not one of them.I received a few bits of advice on 1) needing to locate where the water main line leak is 2) marking that location and 3) then servicing the lines where the leaks or breaks are. This is where I found the Akers can do all of this rather than hiring two companies - one to detect where the leak is at and then another to service and repair the pipe.I was lucky and they were able to accommodate coming out the same day I called to take a look and give me an assessment of how bad the water leak was, a general estimate and assessment and help in whether to call the Seattle Public Utilities to come out and shut off the water. In doing so, Andy and Traci coordinated with me all day, great communication and made me feel confident with choosing someone I didnt know yet to help me.Here is a recap of why I preferred and appreciated their service. Honest assessment from Day 1. Helped me turn off my water by myself at street level and showed the tools to use so I could use water when I needed until the permanent fix could be worked out. 2. Fair estimate and pricing - never once did I receive pricing that felt gouging or high 3. Great communication - Being flexible is key in this line of business from the customer end. Sometimes their jobs take longer than expected so my job had to be pushed by a day or so. Always talked to me about delays or changes right away and gave me a good understanding of when it was going to be rescheduled. 4. Going above and beyond to take care of me with helping with certifications, inspections from the city, rebates for excess water usages etc. I didnt ask for this help ( and didnt even know I should). They saved me hours of calls on the phone with inspectors and the ulilties company and thousands of dollars with fast-forwarding the rebate process. 5. The repair job was done right. Quality materials. Timing. No short-cuts. They took care of my home like it was theirs or one of their family members. Trust isnt easily earned, especially with a trade that I may not even know how to assess quality or inaccuracies right...Andy and his crew (and amazing talented wife) are amazing and Im glad I worked with them.(I also posted this on Yelp) -

Akers is THE BEST if you need a waterline replacement. I came home from 2 weeks away to learn of a leak in our 250 foot water line from the city meter to the house. Andy came out within a day to take a look and spent 90 minutes with me describing the exact approach they would take and answered all questions. His crew got started within 3 days and had a new line installed in a couple of days using the best materials and fittings (other quotes from plumbing companies called for using inferior pipe and not nearly the level of thoughtfulness as Akers). It was a tremendous stress reliever to have professionals handle this and allow me to never worry about it again. If you need a new waterline in the Seattle area Akers is the only place to call. -

Akers did an amazing job fixing the waterline in front of my house. They replaced the whole pipe. I was expecting my lawn to be a disaster zone afterwords since they needed to dig to get to the existing pipe and put in the new one, but after they finished you couldnt even tell they had dug anything. They were fast, friendly, and charged an extremely reasonable amount. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing plumbing work. -

Andy located my water line leak for me. He was super nice, professional, and honest. He even let me listen to through the headphones so I understood exactly what he was hearing and how he was detecting the leak location. He made helpful recommendations for how to proceed with my unusual repair. I would definitely recommend Akers for plumbing issues. -

From the moment I contacted Akers Outdoor Plumbing, I was greeted by Traci. I explained the situation that my clients home was having a leak issue. I asked about their services and pricing.Traci, explained that it was definitely a leak due to the age of the home (30+ years). She directed me to their youtube channel to view the work they have performed and offered to send someone to do a leak detection.I contacted the owner of the house, and she agreed to the terms that Traci offered. Called Traci back and asked their availability to go out to the house. Within one week of contacting Traci, the problem was fixed and there is a happy homeowner, tenant and property manager. If you are looking for a trustworthy company that will do what they say. Please look no further, Akers Outdoor Plumbing is your go to company. -

We identified an issue with our main water line on Saturday night. Called on Sunday AM, had Andy the owner over to have a look in Sunday afternoon, and scheduled work for Tuesday. They dealt with everything (city, etc), and work was completed as expected - on time and on budget. We had water that evening. Yard looked perfect. Great service from a family company. Highly recommended. -

Akers exceeded my expectations on price, professionalism, and finished product. Their team replaced the waterline to my Seattle house with 1 copper, installed a new heavy duty shut off valve, and bolted everything to the concrete foundation. Looks great and works great. Would gladly hire again. My highest recommendation. -

I had a leak outside and was pretty sure it was in the sprinkler system, but being the 2nd owner of the house I didn’t know where the main shutoff was. Over time it had gotten covered by dirt and then of course because I couldn’t see it I had also covered it with gravel in one spot and bark in another. Andy was able to locate it the leak and main shut off quickly. Then he was able to find the additional valve locations. He was professional, courtesy and caring. I’d definitely use Akers again and would highly recommend them to anyone needing leak detection and repair. Thank you, Andy! -
