Really helpful and great at communication for booking an appointment, showed up on time. Was upfront about the issue that he may not be able to fix it, however he got it fixed smoothly. He even provided recommendations on how to avoid the issue in the future. Would definitely use again and recommend, thanks again John! Appreciate your upfront honesty about everything.

We smelled gas emanating from our fireplace the evening of December 30th. An Internet search next morning led us to Sunset Cliffs Plumbing and the owner, John, answered the phone. He offered a free estimate and came over at 1:00 that afternoon. His estimate appeared reasonable and he presented well so we hired him on the spot and he immediately commenced work. Despite it being New Year’s Eve and his fiancé was waiting for him at home, we finally insisted he go home at 7:00 pm and come back today. He reluctantly left, and did return later today and the job was completed in a professional manner; he cleaned up after himself, and as a bonus, he was delightful to talk to as we watched him ply his trade. We had a backed up drain that flooded our garage and John showed up within 15 minutes of calling his number. Fast, professional, and a really nice guy to work with.He surveyed the issue and got to work. Double tested his service and gave us a GREAT price, considering it was an emergency call.I highly recommend this company, and will use them exclusively from now on for ALL of our plumbing needs.

I cannot recommend John and the Sunset Cliffs Plumbing team enough. We have had 2 plumbing issues arise within our own unit and to the exterior water lines for our HOA over the past month and John has been incredibly helpful, responsive and timely to fix these issues within 24 hours of reaching out in each instance. John is friendly, knowledgeable and very fair and transparent with pricing. If you live in center or south county San Diego, John and the team are the best choice out there for any plumbing needs.

John from Sunset Cliffs Plumbing was exceptional. We had a historic home on Bankers Hill that needed water heaters replaced, plumbing fixtures replaced or update with hard to find parts, along with whole house water filtration and leak shutoff detection added. He did an amazing job on all of these items and was diligent about the details and follow-up. He was a great communicator, timely, and thorough through the entire project. We would and are using him again on another project and feel lucky to have found him. We could rate him 6/5 if possible.

John is very professional and knows his trade, I needed to get a water monitoring/ shutoff device put in for my homeowners insurance or my rates will increase a lot. So I called Sunset Cliffs Plumbing John showed up on time and gave me a window of 4hrs to finish the job which entailed a lot of work , 2 pressure regulators 2 ball valves, the water monitoring device and some new copper pipes and fittings, his soldering is excellent ! nice and clean and was done in 3 hours ! Anyone looking for an excellent plumber call Sunset Cliffs Plumbing , also you cant beat his rates ! John also lives close to me in OB and will be calling him for future plumbing repairs.
