    I heard a horrible gurgling sound in my bathroom. I called Powers Plumbing and they scheduled an appointment for later that afternoon. Devin was the technician, who arrived.He was courteous and knowledgeable. He assessed the work that needed to happen and then patiently explained the work to me. I really appreciate that Devin was also the technician to complete the work. Overall Devin and Powers Plumbing got the job done in an professional manner, educating me along the way. I would use them again.

    Diego did great at doing the work we needed. I assume he is under instructions from his employer to stretch out the bill as much as possible. For instance a $25 charge for “consumables” (possibly the plumbers teflon tape for a couple of connections), and taking at least 1/2 hour (billable hour) to type up the invoice. The invoice was then not ready and had to be revised after I told him that his arrival time had been recorded on my security camera.The work was fine but the company is not upfront about their additional pricing they add to pad the bill.

    I have been a customer of Powers Plumbing for at least 10 years. They are popular in uptown neighborhoods, especially for their skill and knowledge in working on old houses. Today I was feeling stressed because another plumbing company, based in Kearny Mesa, had given me a huge estimate and a complicated plan for clearing one clogged drain. I knew I should turn to Powers Plumbing for professional, honest service. Two hours after my phone call, Guillermo Leon showed up. He looked at my drain, told me the other company had been upselling me, and quickly got to work to solve my problem - in about 30 minutes! I was so relieved to be dealing with an honest, dependable plumber who charged a very reasonable price. Guillermo was smart, skillful, polite, and very professional. He obviously has had excellent training and experience in his field. I will definitely return to Powers Plumbing for efficient, honest service in the future.

    Powers always has done great work for us. Today’s tech was Guillermo, who was prompt, friendly and — most importantly — an expert and efficient plumber. He replaced our garbage disposal air switch quickly, and then tackled an old hose bib attached to the house that was full of old paint and couldn’t be removed with pipe wrenches. He removed it with power tools I’ve never seen and then installed a new copper compression coupling enabling him to install the new bib quickly. Excellent solution.

    A great plumber in your contacts is one of the greatest finds you will ever have and an absolute must if you own or manage a property.Leaks happen. Typically, unexpected, on a Sunday or a holiday, or some other (typically) expensive hour. I was very fortunate to find Powers Plumbing when I did. They were not one of my typical go-to contacts for repairs. After having exhausted my normal contacts and being absolutely shocked by their lack of customer service, cost to simply enter the dwelling, and the hassles of dealing with automated scheduling bots, I finally found my new go-to plumber for all my needs...and these were my regular contacts (sad that times have changed). When I called to schedule with Powers Plumbing, an actual knowledgeable employee answered the phone and was extremely helpful. They charge by the hour start to finish unlike others who charge an inflated minimum amount to simply walk through the door +++ an hourly rate to be billed rounded up to each 15 min interval...as if people have no choice but to be subjected to their crazy terms and rude workers. Powers was prompt, followed instructions, called me to verify the services needed prior to starting the repair (this work was being performed at a rental unit I manage), they were very respectful of my tenants, cleaned up their work space, documented the paperwork properly for reimbursement, and VIOLA!An excellent job, well done, with professionalism others should experience (as this seems to be a lost art these days), and a happy tenant with a kitchen sink without clogging and back up issues.What more could you want to know? Just call them - obviously you are in need of a plumber if you are reading this. Ive already deleted all the other plumbers from my contacts :)

    This is an update from three years ago when they came and fixed a separate sink. They are very punctual and fast as well as being very professional. I love the fact that they keep you up-to-date with when they will be there via text. I will continue to use them for all my plumbing needs and recommend that you do as well. 6/11/2024.They were on time. They kept me apprised with email and text notifications. They were very speedy with the repairs that I needed and it was very affordable. This is the second time I have used them and they are excellent. I would recommend them to anybody

    Professional technicians who know their stuff. Ive had other plumbers who come over and give weeks estimates and cant pinpoint the problem. Powers gives an estimate with photos, cost and list of materials and detailed diagnosis of the problem. Their technicians communicate and billing is easy. I always recommend them to people, particularly for large plumbing projects. They will do it right and not cut corners.

    My tenant broke the shower handle and could not get the water turned off. Jose Perez from Powers Plumbing came out in a matter of minutes! Jose was awesome! Jose quickly got the water turned off and figured out the problem in the inside of the shower handle. Powers is lucky to have him on staff as are we. Great responsive plumbing company that does quality work. Gail was fantastic coordinating the repairs and keeping me updated. Powers saved me a lot of time, money, and headaches. Thank you!

    Jonathan responded to my call for an urgent plumbing problem on a Sunday night. He was prompt, prepared and pleasant. He was efficient and focused on his work. He explained the problem, what was required to fix and the estimated cost. It was not cheap, but the crisis was resolved, he cleaned the work space before he left. I wish it would have cost less, but I trust the reliability of Powers Plumbing and specifically Jonathan (although I have also been satisfied by the work of others whom they have sent out).

    Luis did an outstanding job replacing a broken water inlet valve to our washing machine. He, also, replaced all 3 valves that I requested on our shower. The valves now operate very smoothly.     It was great having the technician that installed my exterior gas line return to hook up my outdoor firepit! David was excellent from the phone call of when he was on his way to trying to work out issues with a faulty lighter on a piece of equipment which I purchased from an online vendor. He wanted to make sure everything was in perfect working condition and cleaned up. I have used Powers plumbing for the last 6 years and regardless of the change in ownership, continue to receive great service and will be calling them for future plumbing/gas line issues.

    I used powers plumbing to camera snake my drains and they did a fantastic job. We needed to map out our entire drain system to figure out how far our caste iron drains were so our other contractors could remove them and install new ABS plumbing & we used Powers Plumbing several times to help us plan everything out for this large job.The plumbers are very knowledgeable and know what they are are doing. All of them are pros and you’ll get a better plumber than what the big brand plumbers who mostly have a commission structure so they over charge you. Powers plumbing charges by the hour and they have good plumbers which is the most important thing.I’ve been using Powers for many years & I highly recommend them, they are a good company and thats hard to come by these days!

    I have a 1939 house that has taps and valves from the 70s . I needed a part Home Depot etc sells an alternative but I wanted the same fitting or valve. No where else had it and when I brought it in Jason told me exactly what I needed and . I was happy to have it replaced the old one put a new one in place . Like for like . Longest part of doing the repair was finding plumbing shop that carried what I was looking for. They have a lot of older style fixture there and I will be going back

    This was our first time using Powers Plumbing. We were searching for someone specializing in old gravity heaters after an SDG&E inspection deemed necessary. First company said it was unfixable as part was no longer available. We found Powers online. Due to illness of staff, we were rescheduled twice, which had us a little concerned. The day scheduled to come the best tech for our job was delayed at an earlier call. Despite it being late in the day, he came! And, the communication was fantastic letting us know. He went to work and unfortunately, it was far more time consuming than we’d ever imagined. It was dark out, and the heater is under house. We were hoping somehow he could come back the next day, but never articulated that. He actually stayed longer to finish the job. It was so late, maybe 8 pm, that we thought maybe missed him leaving. All I can say is, he was amazing!!! He went above and beyond. We appreciate it so much as the heater was out since before Christmas. So, Powers Plumbing and the technician E.B. are held in the highest regard by our family. He left, the heat was working, and he was off to another job! Thank you Eric, Gail and Powers Plumbing! We are so impressed and grateful!!!

    Super reliable service! We’re having issues with water leaking from our roof and couldn’t figure out how to turn off the water for the building. I called Powers and Janet was extremely helpful. She was able to give some recommendations and had a gentlemen come out and help us with all our small requests! He was efficient and very knowledgeable during the service call.     Talk about turning negative to positive. Althought there were some scheduling issues and a minor billing adjustment to be made, the overall experience has me feeling happy.     Powers Plumbing has done 5 jobs for me. Kitchen and bathroom faucet replacements, shower bar replaced, broken toilet repair and a new toilet installation. All the technicians have been on time and sometimes early. They a skilled at what they do and communicate when doing the job so i knew what was happening at all times. The service department has gone out of their way to find my products that i needed. I have one my project to do when i can and that is to replace my turn off valves. I will definitely have Powers Plumbing do the job.

    This is the best plumbing company I have ever worked with. We had an emergency that they took care of immediately and at one third the cost that we had been quoted by a major San Diego plumbing company.     Needed a new water heater. Powers was recommended by a friend. Cant believe how much the cost of water heaters has gone up in the last 30 years, but buying it through Powers was no more expensive than getting it at Home Depot and I didnt have to lug it home. They did a nice job installing it at a reasonable labor charge. Would definitely use them again.

    I have used Powers Plumbing several times and have had an excellent experience each time. They have the ability to work on older houses and do repairs on plumbing that other plumbing companies have not had the interest to work on and/or ability to work on. I have had Powers work on a couple of heater problems in two older homes where another company was called to do the job by my property manager. The other company could not be bothered to get the parts and wanted to replace the heater. I told my property manager that I had called Powers Plumbing on another job and that I wanted them to be called to do the job. Powers did the repairs and saved me from having to put in a new heater which would have cost several thousand dollars. I usually do not do many reviews unless I think that the company is in my experience excellent. Thank you Powers!

They installed new sinks and toilets in both apartments and a water heater in the upstairs unit several years ago.     Boy, am I glad I found these guys. Brand new faucet/side spray was leaking under our kitchen sink. We found it at 6:30 PM, knew it couldn’t wait until morning.
