We chose Zap Electric based on excellent reviews and have been very happy with our choice! Vaughn responded quickly to our initial call and was able to visit the site and work up the bid shortly after. His bid seemed very reasonable for the tear out of old track lighting and installation of many new ceiling and wall lights, the relocation of numerous outlets, replacement of old bathroom ceiling fan, etc. His work and communication have been excellent throughout the process. His company will be our go-to for electrical projects from here on.

Vaughn and I discussed a Circuit Breaker Interlock kit for my back up generator (no more cold dark nights or extension cords in windows during power outages, for me). He was informative, competitively priced, on time. When he finished he went through the power up/down process. We are all set. They are good people.

Most recently, his crew installed 20 or so recessed lights, switches, dimmers, a couple of outlets, and replaced an attic vent fan. Diego was great and very professional, hard working, and totally exceeded my expectations with cleanliness. They installed 5 ceiling fans, which sounds easy, but they had to do all of the electrical and cut the holes since there was no previous lighting or electrical. We have had Zap Electric at our house several times. The house turns 100 this year and some of the wiring is a bit dodgy. Fortunately, there is Zap. Vaughan and Dennis are great guys who are easy to work with and really know their stuff. They work fast, but are very thorough, and Zaps rates are reasonable. Here are some of the jobs they have done for us:• Installed electrical portion of a mini-split A/C system• Installed whole house surge suppressor• Fitted house breaker panel with mini-breakers as it was completely full• Replaced fluorescent light fixture over kitchen sink with LED• Installed outdoor security light on garage exterior• Installed dedicated guest bedroom heater circuit• Fixed dangerously loose dining room chandelier which also had unsafe wiring, and repositioned it to our specifications• Fixed several bathroom outlets and lighting fixtures which were starting to short-circuit• Replaced dining room dimmer with newer dimmer which works much betterThey also checked the wiring and power on some other outlets for us and did not try to sell us repairs or replacements which were not needed. They are professional, courteous and won’t leave until the job is done right.

We had a great experience with Zap Electric. The owner, Vaughn, was very helpful and spent time going through our home as we discussed our various lighting needs. He had excellent suggestions to help keep costs down and we did not feel like we were being taken advantage of at all. The project was huge, basically putting in new lighting in almost every single room of the house. Erin and Grant were the two electricians who spent all day at the house completing the project. They arrived timely, and prior to even getting started on the project, walked through the house with me to confirm exactly what needed to be done and make sure it lined up with what was outlined in the order. They were friendly, professional, and thorough. They spent time answering any questions I had and were quick to confer with me if they had a question about light placement. We were very impressed that there was hardly any drywall patch work that was needed when they were all done. Despite the large scope and difficulty of the project, damage was extremely minimal and the area that did need to be patched, they took care of. When they were done, that area was ready for a coat of paint as though nothing had ever happened. I will definitely recommend Zap Electric, and in particular, Erin and Grant, who did a great job. Our family loves the new lighting in the house, it makes a huge difference! Thank you so much for your excellent work!

They let me know right away if anything looked suspect (thankfully everything worked out just fine), old houses are full of wonky wiring ya know? They capped off the useless, old outlet. Then they installed a light/fan combo in my master-bath that I didnt feel like messing with myself. All said it was $225 and the guy was here for a bit. So cost of supplies, overhead, and hourly fee for a master or journeyman electrician...thats probably fair.

I called them for an appraisal and they were out the same day. they then sent me a bid the next day and were out to do the job within a few days later. My job required them to come back after the other contractors were done with their part and I was having a nightmare with the other contractors getting them to come back and finish so I was expecting the same when I called to get Zapp Electric back out to finish their part. Needed a high powered electrical outlet installed for charging our all electric car. They were able to come out within just a few days. The guys who installed it did a great job and really seemed to know their stuff. I felt the price was really reasonable. When I discovered they accidentally installed the ground in the wrong position according to manufacturer specs, the owner told me exactly what to do to fix it and he apologized for it being wrong. When I was unable to correct it he personally came out within a couple of hours and fixed it himself. I would not hesitate to call them for electrical needs again.

Great work, on budget! I filled out an online form with Zap 2 weeks ago. They called me within the hour to get details on the project. I needed outlets and a fan in my main bath. They broke down the estimate right there on the phone which was a HUGE time saver. They asked me to send a picture of the panel so they could get a good idea. Talk about using technology to be more efficient. I cant use a before picture, because there wasnt one--our mid-century rancher had none to begin with. That being said, I was very concerned with making sure the work didnt look out of place. The guy arrived ON TIME to do the work and completed it within about 3 hours. That is amazing! Yesterday we had a new dryer delivered and the installers couldn’t finish up because it had the old range type plug-in. So while they were explaining this, I called ZAP again because we were so pleased by our first experience with them. The owner said he would try to get us help by the afternoon if he could. He was able to get Carlos out to us by mid afternoon and he instead the new plug and finished installation of our dryer. While here we asked if he could check out the cfgi plug-in on the deck and install one in the kitchen to replace the standard plug. He was happy to help us with this extra request.They have been so helpful and I believe reasonably priced that I would recommend ZAP to my friends and family that needs electrical work done.
